The Speech“We can’t let an Ice Dragon be treasure.” There was a certain twist to the way the flame demon said ice. “That dragon won’t let us actually use any of the student council money. Now money is for spending. And that spending goes to us the students. That money goes to prom and field trips and sometimes just a good party. I will make sure it actually gets spent on the students. Not just the overhead but all the fun stuff like food and a fog machine. And also the really great stuff like getting Johnny Dagger to sing for us again.” There that was starting to sound like a campaign. Almost.
“And of course there is fund raising. Being a treasurer is about fund raising. I know some people who love baking so we can do a few bake sales. Any other fund raising suggestions are welcome.”
“I just want you all to know that you do not have to take the only choice available. It is one thing to win a race by hard earned talent. But it is another to win by sheer default. Please if any think they can be a better treasure than I step up. Make this a race. Not just a quiet murmuring of agreement. But in the mean time you only have two choices for treasurer. Fire and ice. Which will you choose: For your funds to be frozen unable to be touched or held, Or for it to have energy and put forth for the good of all the students? Choose wisely.”
Andrew gives you a little bow. It might be a bit hard to discern how serious he is about this campaign. But he had claimed a booth, he seemed like he was going to at least stick it out for now.
