Most citizens of Lunaria welcome the New Year at home with their friends and family, using the occasion to spend quality time with their loved ones. Some of the braver citizens opt to party the days and nights away in the few taverns that still open late during these troubled times. But rarer yet, there’s a certain brand of Lunarian who does neither, and spends the first days of the New Year training endlessly for a fight that takes place away from the battlefields.
The Imperial City’s seasonal Battle Tournament is upon us, and Lunarians from all corners of the continent have come to the city to put their skills to the test. There’s a division for everyone, fighter and soul conduit, experienced and inexperienced – all anyone asks is that you hold nothing back, and leave everything in the ring.

In this event, you have the opportunity to earn up to 3 battle credits or regular roleplay credits (or a mixture of both) to count towards your Lunarian’s current stage of growth. Since battles are so difficult to come by, we’re providing a brief opportunity to knock out some of those requirements. Non-owners are also encouraged to participate with their quest Lunarians!
The tournament proceeds in three phases, though anyone may join at any time: Elimination: January 4-10th Semi-Finals: January 11-17th Finals: January 18-24th
Title Format: "❀ [BRP] ❀ Battle Tournament [Character Name]" The first post should include your character’s cert, or a link to your quest thread. ***Slight change! Generate a number between 1-10 to determine the outcome of the battle. Odds = win, evens = loss. Don’t worry if you lose in the first or second phases! Your Lunarian will simply go on to an Exhibition round during the next phase.
For every RP post, generate a random number between 6-10, one post at a time. Don’t delete posts! Write a fight response as normal, and quote Legend of Lunaria or Kurama no Koishi after every post you write so that a staff member can briefly respond to the RP as your opponent. For an example, see THIS BATTLE.
The fight ends once you have accumulated 30 points, or the deadline for the tournament phase has been reached. Please note that credit will only be given if the fight has been completed within the deadline!
There is a minimum of 1-2 paragraphs, or around 150-300 words per post.
