Last Update: 01/24/07 The Moreau Inquisitor is a new section of the Moreau island universe created only for your benfit. Do you ever find yourself behind on the island's happenings? Afraid that there could be some new hook-up that you missed because you haven't had the time to read the role plays? Well fret no more! The current Inquisitor will slowly read through every RP that's been posted and make a summary to catch the gist of what's happened. This way, you can get your daily island fix while saving your precious time. But if you do have free time, we encourage you to read through the actual rp to get the full understanding. Our loyal lurker/quester will begin with the most recent rp's, as they are most important for your benefit, then he will slowly work forward from the start of the island's creation. This way you can get the island's whole story without reading through the hundreds of pages we've collected over time!

Islanders Involved: Stewart, Chana
Synopsis Chana goes looking for plants and meets Stewart. She's annoyed to find that Stewart's thinking of Antony, but becomes sympathetic when he slips and mentions his trial. They eat twigs and grass and the conversation deviates to kilts AKA pagan man-skirts. Then after Stewart leaves, Chana encounters an alligator and flees.

Sticking together for strength, Ambrose and several other islanders (Angelina, Amaya, Emelyn) group together to investigate the labs and set up a camp. More characters eventually flock to the camp and join the pack group.

Moreau and Aubrey leave the island after Christmas and leave the island in Duvert's hands... during which he stages a helicopter crash with two charred bodies. Everyone is locked out of their duplexes and forced to live off the land for about three months.

After several days, a hungry Jamal comes slinking into the treeline of the beach in hopes of snagging some food from his old camp. Yet becomes disheartened when he realizes that Antony is still there, sharpening a knife. He waits in hopes of her leaving soon, but accidentally calls attention to himself when he moves. Antony gets up and almost instatnly knows it's him, then lures him out with the thought of some jerky. They go and eat by the fire while Antony expresses how she'd like for him to stay at the camp, she also tells her about what had happened with Father Steward. Once the time was right, she explains, again, that he is still the same ol' Jamal and she still cared for him (also adding in a nice bellyrub for good measure). Antony convinces him to stay and they eventually fall asleep by the fire like before.

Having been alone for several days in the jungle, Kim encountered Amaya in one of her solitary wanderings away from the group. After a quick introduction Amaya invited the other girl to join the collection of people at Ambrose's camp, and once they'd tramped through some underbrush and waded through some water they arrived at the camp relatively unscatched.

Jamal goes to the river to relax and soak up some water, but he accidentally steps on Awen who was resting beneath the water's surface. He goes into fight mode, but once he realizes it's her he becomes a bit less tense, obviously in a much better mood than their last meeting. They make idle chitchat and Awen coaxes him to rest in the river with her. Just as everything seems calm, the words "I love you, Jamal" slipped from the manta's lips. Caught off guard, Jamal reccomends that they should talk about their not-so-relationship. After a small kiss, the two come to a conclusion that they're love may never be the same and they'd have to accept it. Awen needs to be alone and swims off down the river while Jamal eventually heads back to his camp with Antoinette.

Ambrose eventually reaches the beach and find Antony napping in her camp. She awakes with the nasty surprise of wolven Ambrose standing by her. He explains who she is and she loosens up a bit, then makes an introduction. She explains about Jamal and what had happened between the two of them, then shows Ambrose the strange misfigured bones they found in their pit-trap. The dark thought of islanders before them seeped into the wolf's mind. Was the lockdown meant to be the extinction of this generation of islanders? Soon, he invites Antoinette to stay in their large 'pack', safety in numbers. But she decides to hold onto the invitation until Jamal returned. Understanding, Ambrose turns and heads back to his camp, finally meeting 'that tattooed woman' for himself.

Cassidy is alone at camp, prodding the fire boredly, when Emelyn returns in a new form. The change quickly brings up the subject of Moreau an dhow the two of them wish him dead. Cassidy complains that the lockdown beter be over with soon, she has a good book that she's yet to finish. Em laughs and offers to write Cassidy as sci-fi story once she gets some rabbit pelts from Greer. Cassidy gladly accepts the new reading material, excited.

Greer and Amaya are having none less than a great time while bug hunting in the jungle, but the fun quickly takes a turn for the worse when they find some.. creature. It looks like some odd mix of a pigeon and a lab rat, bound to be one of Moreau's failed experiments. The thing was such a miserable sight, the least they could do is spare it the pain. Greer takes it out in a swift strike and they bury the poor creation. Amaya sheds a tear while Greer says a few words, the two then walk back to camp early from their adventure.

Emelyn falls asleep on the ground and slips into a terrible nightmare. Amaya and her are sitting at a camp fire when Amaya begins screaming "It's too late! They're already coming!" Then a shadowed hawk came from the sky, snatched the iguana and flew away. Then a hand grasped Em's shoulder, Angelina. She took her to Ambrose and Vasile, her were tearing apart Cassidy and eating her insides. Emelyn ran screaming and found comforting Greer. They embraced and then Greer offered her something to write on... Amaya's leathery skin with her head still attached. She awoke vomiting only to find new fur on her hands. She was changing. Panicked, the hedgehog runs into the jungle and bashes into a hungry Joliette just as her transformation kicks into high gear. Quills grow from her back, her hair stiffens, ears elongate, her nose grows into more of a snout and a surge of fur covers her body. She changed. Joliette watches the whole thing and her tounged flicks as the scent of blood entered the air. Emelyn recognizes Joliette and was thankful she was still alive. Joli remaines calm, trying to keep the komodo under control. The two exchange information on who they know was alright and Joli also explained a bit about her komodo instincts and the diets of their animals. After some more talking, Em admits that she'd be truly happy in life if she could just find a companion that she deeply loves, she didn't even care about getting home anymore. Soon enough, the two begin to head back to Emelyn's camp.

Lily awakes on the beach from the usual bad dream with Colche. Colche wakes up in her heart-melt kind of cute way, disliking the taste of coconut in her mouth. They examine her wound to ensure that it hasn't gotten infected, all seems well. Then, Colche is very intent on finding her "family", Ambrose, Amaya, Lauren and Greer, she bee-lines for the jungle. But Lily convinces Colche that maybe checking the village was a better idea. The cheetah quickly makes this a race challenge and zooms off into the jungle. Lily runs as well, not wanting to be left behind. Colche (obviously) wins the race, but is disappointed to find all of the buildings still locked. However, the girls little rabbit is still alive and kicking. The two decide to look for people by the river, but get split up as they are travelling and continue on seperate ways.

Awen, exhausted, continues to fumble her way through the jungle toward her campsite with Joliette not too far behind her tracing the scent of blood. Awen is excited to see her, but the Joli she knows is lost somewhere in the mind of a komodo dragon. Awen is so tired of being nearly killed that she just gives up, falls to her knees and waits for Joli to eat her up. But before she ever finds out what happens, the world spirals into a blur around her, she passed out. This snaps some sense into the creature, bringing Joliete in control for a few minutes. The komodo dragon sulks off to find something else, still in disbelief she almost ate Awen. Awen has a bad dream, but wakes to find Ambrose hovering over her. She is extremely relieved and retells Ambrose the whole story of her awful day. Ambrose is finally up to date with most of the happenings outside of his camp and invites Awen to come back and join their group. He gives her directions, following the river so she can remoisten her skin, while Ambrose continues on a trek to find more islanders.

The scene is set with a starving Pyroth sneaking up on a sleeping Emerwyn. The human side of his mind is telling him to leave her alone or warn her, and it actually does manage to get her moving on an escape. But the animalistic side of Pyroth takes over and the two are soon on a fast paced race through the jungle. The coyote is not accustomed to this environment and is quickly exhausted. Predator and prey lay twenty feet apart, trying to catch their breath. Pyroth apologises for chasing her, explaining himself. They exchange introductions and soon move on to a new conversation. The two decide to find the river and begin to talk about the outside world, old friends and how they got on this island. Pyroth dives in for a bath and Emerwyn takes a few sips and dunked her head before pulling her head out. Something unworldly, however, seemed to be holding her under. Familiar with the effects of hallucinogens, Pyroth helped her away from the river and eased her confused mind back into sanity. Rain threatened to fall and they began to seek shelter, when suddenly a crack of lightning set Pyroth's coyote instinct on edge. Despite being worn out from the earlier chase, he started to pursue Emerwyn again. Unwittingly a wild boar stumbled into Pyroth's path and distracted his rage and appetite long enough for Emerwyn to escape. After gorging himself and falling asleep, the coyote awoke with the smell of civilization in his nostrils and followed it away from the river.

Jamal runs away into the jungle for seclusion, but is soon interupted with the apperance of Awen. Jamal tells her to leave him alone repeatedly, but Awen is truly concerned about the man and refused to leave him alone. Eventually, Jamal's new animal instincts become far too strong and he lunges at Awen. She is knocked to the ground and gored by the vicious tiger, not the old Jamal she once new. After Jamal gets out his anger, he turns and slinks off. Awen manages to utter "I still love you." before he leaves her for good. Jamal spends the rest of the night crying while Awen attempts to stumble back to her pond.

A sick Jamal dozes into an uneasy sleep, which results in a most unusual dream. He is walking down the streets of Detroit his hometown, when a dark figure threatens him from an alley. A police man with familiar red hair emerges from the shadows when Jamal realizes he is surrounded by all of the other islanders, pointing their guns at him and closing in. Once within range, he finds Awen's gun pointed right at his forehead. He tries to negotiate, but in the end is shot. Jamal awoke screaming and scared, pain engulfing his body. Worried, Antony rushes to comfort/subdue him in an odd hug, but Jamal continues to panic. His skin whitens, nails fall off to make room for claws, canines and ears elongate, whiskers sprout, eyes turn blue, and senses sharpen, each change more painful than the next. He dug his claws into Antony's shoulders, but threw her down in an attempt to scratch off his stripes. He lashes out towards Antony after her attempt to comfort him, but misses. All the while, the woman tries to stay calm and explain that her friend was still the same in her heart, a change in appearance doesn't change a person. Jamal, confused and scared, retreats into the jungle, Antony not stopping him. Then none other than Father Stewart comes walking down the beach, concerned about Antony's wound. Antony takes off her pants to wash off the wound in the ocean, but Stewart's remark about Moreau being the devil, using temptation against them stops her in her tracks. Antony then kisses the blundering priest, and he doesn't pull back. Eventually, they break apart and Stewart tells her about his true feelings, then helps her clean the wound in the sea. Antony scrubs the gash with salt water, then douses it with some leftover alchohol, but things were getting boring. So Antony spiced it up with another long kiss for Stewart... that is until he falls asleep. Shocked, Antony has a plan. She stripped both of them to the nude and fell asleep next to him. Stewart awoke and in a panic, unsure of what he'd just done, runs into the jungle.

Amaya comes back into the camp with a handful of fruits before sitting down and having a chat with Ambrose. Amaya tells that she found Awen and learned that Chubbs, Joliette and Lauren are okay as well. The duo reflect a bit on the other islanders, realizing how major this event in their life is. A slight feeling of panic occurs when Amaya tells Ambrose that Awen also changed without a serum injection, but come to the conclusion that becoming an animal isn't as bad as dying. The body of a beast cannot change the heart of a person. The 'siblings' give a comforting hug before talking about trying to find other surviving islanders, Ambrose's enhanced sense of smell can sure come in handy. Finally, the two talk about how much Moreau has affected their lives, his 'hospitality' is the only thing that keeps them motivated. Amaya retires to bed, then leaving Ambrose to stoke the fire.

Awen goes in search of a missing Lauren, who is found widdling arrows intensly. Lauren doesn't recognize Awen's 50% appearance and threatens her with a knife. Awen stays strong but gentle and tries to convince the mongoose to come back to the camp with her. After a few close calls with the knife, Awen convinces her that she isn't an imposter. Lauren goes ballistic, yelling that Moreau is dead and Awen couldn't change without an injection. The two embrace, but the mongoose continues to make a commotion. The Manta's more stern approaches succeeds in calming Lauren down and they head back to camp. At camp, the starving Thorn heads straight for the food (and empties the supply) while Awen, a little dry, goes to soak up some water. Lauren undresses and gets into the water as well to wash her dirty clothes. The usual gossip ensues until it is interupted with a familiar man's scream. They become rather uneasy, but eventually shrug it off. The two splash a bit, fooling around. Awen remarks that she's glad Lauren's head cleared after she ate the food, she was back to 'normal'. But Laurens misinterprets a friendly wink and retreats to find firewood, questioning the manta's sexuality.

A happy and half-naked Chubbs and Joliette stroll back into camp to find smelly Tim back from the beach. Embarassed, Tim appologizes for the wrank stench while Chubbs is embarassed about being caught in his underwear. But the tension eases as Chubbs says, "...nothing gets ya closer to people than hanging about in ya undies hey? " They talk about the other islanders before having some jerky and easing into a relaxing sleep. Relaxing, until Chubbs awoke shaking from a disturbing nightmare. He was hungry. Afraid he was losing his self control, Chubbs scratched a note into a tree and headed for the beach for the safety of the others.

Synopsis Moreau comes upon a large group and announces to one and all that Lily used to work for him. Chana's annoyed that Lily didn't trust her enough to admit it on her own. Chana ends up defending her at the end.

Angelina begins to grow sicker after what they thought would be her injection. She is one of the islanders that are not responding well to the serums, and her body tries to reject them. Even after such a long wait, she sickens with the injection and is taken into the labs for therapy. Ambrose is frantic with worry.

Synopsis: Moreau drugs the druggie in an attempt to inspire evil and wraith in Aubrey, coaxing him to attempt to rape Colche during the night. Brainwashed by hallucinogenics and a strategic ear peace, Billy thinks it's all a dream.

The truth and the reason for the lockdown and disappearance is revealed in this flashback RP between Moreau and Sabin. In the flashback, Moreau summons Sabin to his office and hands him a folder that details Moreau's latest idea to test the Islanders. While Moreau takes Aubrey home for the holidays, Sabin is left in charge of the entire island and to carry out the experiment. The Frenchman leaves the office squirming with anticipation, very eager to push and manipulate the minds of the Islanders for a whole month.

Sabin is revealed to have been conducting some unauthorized experiments in an office deep in the compound. He is taking lab animals and using serums to create "mythical" creatures. When Moreau finds out, he orderes them to be destroyed. Aubrey is able to have two saved at the last minute: a "cerberus" from Vasile's dog, Brutus (("cerebrutus")), and a cat into a displacer beast. Sabin adopts the cat, "Beastie".

On her first morning on the island after arriving, Kikue is searching for the cafeteria when she runs into Jamal. Though puzzled by his appearance, Kikue asks if he was also there for the physical therapy program. Jamal then gets the job of revealing the terrible truth about the island to the young girl. She doubts his word at first, but after showing some convincing proof still tucked away in his wallet, Kikue begins to believe. Maintaining her composure throughout it all, Kikue thanks Jamal, and returns to her room to get on the intercom, determined to hear the truth from the doctors.

Moreau informs Aubrey of the imminent arrival of the new Team Leader Lab Technician, Doctor Marlena Frost, and together they go out to meet her at the landing pad. After introductions Moreau leads her into the labs where she is shown pictures of changed Islanders and she learns of what is really going on on The Island. Dr. Frost is more than excited by the project and very eager to start tests and behavioral modification experiments.

Synopsis: Billy reacts to a threatening letter left on his door, and rushes to save his white-powdered love.

The beginning of the "Scandal in Paradise" metaplot wherein Emelyn awakens and discovers Aubrey who has been viciously attacked. Nearby is an unconscious Kaveri, who awakens with no memory of the last couple days or where she is. Emelyn then heads to the labs to get help for Aubrey and Moreau is alerted to his second-in-command's condition. Afterwards Moreau contacts Kaveri in her apartment and threatens her. If she doesn't find the real culprit she'll be held responsible. Later the doctors update Moreau on how Aubrey is doing and describe her injuries.

After Aubrey's fight with Moreau, now hurt and scared, Aubrey runs out into the storm to see Billy. There she claims to be doing checkups and informs Billy that he's been injected again. Billy is horrified and becomes angry with Aubrey, who breaksdown and starts crying. Aubrey talks about her talk with Moreau and tells Billy Moreau is jealous of him, as well as admits she knows now that Billy was set up concerning the Colche incident. Wanting to make Moreau jealous, the two are soon removing clothes and are just about to become intimate when Billy starts to transform for the second time. At the same moment the backup generator fails and everything goes dark. Scared and fearing for her life, Aubrey runs out of Billy's duplex and drives away in her jeep, leaving Billy in pain, covered in his own ink.

Synopsis: The start of the Murder Mystery Metaplot! Aubrey comes rushing to Billy's duplex during the storm soaking wet and clearly upset about something. She claims she's there to tell him that he's been injected and about to change soon, but one thing leads to another and soon they are kissing, touching- and then inking. The change hits Billy and the power goes out. Aubrey, terrified, flees the scene, much to Billy's dismay.

Ambrose proposes to Angelina with a relatively elaborate set up in a small cave overlooking the beach at sunset with tiki torches, a lovely meal spread out on a blanket, and a beautiful ring ordered from the labs.

During the night, while both Ridley and Vasile rested together, the fox was injected for the fourth time. Comforting him as much as he can, Ridley watches on helpless as Vasile reaches 75% in his transformation and is once again reminded of his own impending change. Vasile is thankful for having someone around to help him through the change and Ridley worries about his own, certain he did not want the actor around to witness it. Vasile falls asleep after the physically draining transformation and Ridley wonders how he will explain things after his own change to the fox.

At dusk Alec and Nita run across each other on the beach. At first startled when Nita approaches, Alec relaxes and the red panda-girl thanks him for his help when she was having a bad reaction to her medication. Alec comments on Nita's recent changes and the two chat about how things have been going. Nita brings up her meeting with Emelyn, and Alec brings up the idea of fencing with Ambrose and Amaya. After a bit of teasing and Alec admitting he still has no idea what he's turning into and his reluctance to ask, he takes his leave. Just before he is out of earshot, Nita makes a comeback about how she has a girlfriend that nearly floors Alec.

Carrying around books and a mysterious package, Fiona heads through the Village when Kikue spots her and calls down to her from her balcony. The rabbit-girl is at first irritated at being bothered and dislikes the look of Kikue, but tries to be civil for the sake of gaining more allies. Through Kikue, Fiona learns how much time has past since she arrived on the island and reveals to the violinist how she ended up on the Island with Annie. She also talks about her worry for Annie, who has disappeared into the labs and all Fiona has been told is that she is sick and can't be seen. Kikue worries that Fiona might just try to break into the labs, but the red-head reassures her that she wouldn't try something like that. The attack on Aubrey also comes up in conversation and the mental changes brought about by the serums. Finally Fiona announces she has things to do before sunset and heads off.

In the Workout Room, Rex and Thom encounter each other again since the soccer game. Rex comments on Thom's new scales and they get into a conversation about their animals and both think about their lives before arriving on the island. They work out for a while, then head over to the cafeteria together for a bite to eat. While they continue their discussion over food, Thom begins to choke on his hamburger. Running to Thom's aide, Rex begins to perform the heimlich, but in the panic both of their animals start acting up. Thom's snake can't understand the choking and does not like the pressure being put on his abdomen and Rex's lion, frustrated, nearly causes him to attack Thom and bite his neck. Fortunately both regain control of their senses. While this is going on Zach enters the kitchen and sees the scene. Unaware that Thom is actually choking, Zach interprets it as a lewd display and leaves. Once Thom coughs up the hamburger and recovers some, both men head back to their duplexes.

While Reuben romps around the beach, Emelyn lazes about on the sand, trying to push the earlier meeting with Cody out of her mind. Wild barking from Reuben soon alerted her to the arrival of Thom. When confronted with the dog, the cobra started to take control of the soccer player and he began looking at the pup as his next meal. Fortunately Thom came to his senses and, after Emelyn relaxed a bit, the two introduced each other and got to talking. After Thom remarked how lucky Emelyn was to have the body she did, the hedgehog tried to give him some kind of reassurance and cheer him up. Before Thom left Emelyn warned him of the cameras and mikes hidden across the island then got up herself to go catch fish

Taking a relaxing dip in the river, Emelyn is found by Cody, who has just recently learned that he is going to turn into a dolphin and that he will never see his family again. At first Em hopes the boy belongs to one of the staff, but it soon comes out that he is there like the rest of them and Emelyn comforts the boy. Cody also meets Reuben and Em even offers to let the puppy stay with him whenever he needs someone around to keep him company. They talk about hedgehogs and dolphins, as well as Cody's condition for a while, then the boy heads off back in the direction of his duplex with the intent to learn more about dolphins.

Enjoying his lunch in the cafeteria, Cody meets Colche and is embarassed by her lack of clothes. Colche joins him at the table and encourages him to have some of her favorite food, chocolate cake. The cheetah girl asks some things about Cody, then questions what he is going to become. Cody is clueless and Colche tells him to ask Aubrey. Once she finishes her cake she rushes off for her next lesson with Joshua.

Shortly after her changes, now at 50%, Nita goes for a walk through the Jungle. At the same time Emelyn walks with Reuben, the dog Aubrey gave her, who takes off running toward Nita, scaring the red panda into a tree. Apologizing and greeting Nita, Em introduces Reuben and the two talk about what has been happening in each other's lives. Nita catches Emelyn up on the current events on the island, as well as warning her about Dr. Frost, telling her about the pills that Nita had been tricked into taking.

Inviting both Ambrose and Marlow to the Beach Bar, Vasile eagerly introduces the them and the three talk over drinks. During the meeting, they talk about various things, including how Marlow ended up on the island and Marlow's interests. There is talk of Vasile holding another film festival, along with another soccer game and playing party games that could be held in the future. When the conversation winds down, Vasile walks Marlow back to his duplex and is invited in for some food.

Enjoying his music down by the beach, Alec is joined by Colche, who is on a short break from her lessons with Joshua. Fascinated by his mohawk, calling him a "multi colored hodgeyheg", Colche tries to understand the boy's accent while she hears about hair gel. After showing off her book 'Charlotte's Web' that Joshua gave her and talking about her lessons, she asks what Alec is to become. While they are talking about swimming, Colche suddenly remembers she still has lessons with Joshua and takes off.

Having just changed the night before, Thom heads out of his duplex with the intention of relaxing down by the beach. When he arrives he sees Cassidy and apologizes for the way he reacted to her when they first met. Thom also announces his worry that he, too, would be changing into a snake, to which Cass tries to be as comforting as she can. Fearful of losing his legs, Thom rants about his situation, cursing the cruel sense of humor of the staff and Cassidy joins the venting. After she explains how she ended up on the island a few more things are said before Thom moves to return to his duplex.

While cleaning himself off in the Lake, Pyroth encounters Kikue. Laughing and trying to put the girl at ease, the two hit it off rather well. They joke, talk about the other Islanders, and even toss around the idea of singing kareoke. After promising to prove how terrible he is if they ever got a kareoke machine on the island, Pyroth heads off for the beach to sun dry.

Rex joins Nita at a table in the cafeteria and the two talk a bit about the soccer game from a few days ago, mostly about what happened between Thom, Antony and Amaya. Finally Nita decides to confide in Rex, revealing to him about her depression and that fact that she's run out of Zoloft. She also tells him about the special pills that Dr. Frost gave to her. Before Rex escorts Nita back to her duplex, the lion encourages Nita to contact the labs and actually get some of her old anti-depressants.

Soon after the soccer game Kaveri journeys up to the labs. There she asks to talk with Aubrey and apologizes to the woman for trying to eat her, though she was not aware of what she was doing. She also gives Aubrey a gift, an elaborately painted rock of flowers and water. After giving the gift, Kaveri also asks forgiveness on behalf of Zach, hoping that he would not be punished. After talking just a bit longer, Kaveri leaves, still unaware that it is the vulture she is turning into that is to blame for what she did to Aubrey.

The Island's first soccerfootball match! Thom, Ambrose, Antony, Kaveri, Alec, Angelina, Rex, Lauren, and Cassidy meet at the cleared out area between the construction site and jungle for their "friendly" game. While teammates are picked complaints pop up and hurtful things are said, especially to Amaya. Eventually tempers get calmed down enough for the game to be started. After a heated match, Ambrose's team wins 10 to 1 against Thom's team. While everyone else is celebrating and relaxing, Antony starts up where she left off with Thom before the game began and punches Thom for his earlier remarks at Amaya. Thom admits that he did choose people based on appearance, which, from there, causes the situation to spiral out of control, with more people joining the fighting and others getting hurt while trying to break it up. After more attacks are made on Thom, he finally escapes and everyone begins to depart.

Several days had passed since Billy was kicked out of his duplex by Moreau and forced to live in the lake. He was still unwilling to return to his duplex, even though it had been unlocked for him. While popping back pills and trying to eat, Emerwyn showed up there for a drink of water. Even after Billy yelled many times for her to leave, Emerwyn remained and offered an open ear, sympathetic to the octopus-man. Unable to hold it back, Billy begins to reveal some of his past to her, explaining who Edel is, how she betrayed him, and how he ended up on the Island. Emerwyn tries to comfort the sobbing man as best she can and once Billy has finished unloading, he takes off irritably, disappearing back into the Lake.

Sabin and Aubrey speak in private after her injuries from Zach. The opinions of Dr. Frost are shared, as well as Aubrey's suspicions that Moreau is using her. Sabin argues that the engagement ring is another method of controlling her and forcing her to like him more than any real sign of affection.

Moreau finally contacts Billy since kicking him out of his duplex. A security guard approaches the pirate at the Lake and hands him a radio, through which Moreau offers the octopus a deal. If Billy agrees to avoid Aubrey completely and keep the deal a secret from her, Moreau will return the duplex and always replenish his supply of drugs. After some bartering and some threats, with Billy nearly rejecting the offer to spite Moreau, he finally agrees to the doctor's deal.

Billy makes the long, difficult walk to the laboratories to see Aubrey. After some hesitation, Aubrey goes to admit Billy into the labs and the two talk. The purpose of Billy's visit turns out to be that he brought something for Aubrey and hands over his old earring. Before Billy goes Aubrey gives him a warning to watch out for Dr. Frost, who has been conducting behavioral tests and handing out suspicious pills, which has Aubrey concerned. Billy, however, decides he'd rather play the role of detective than play it safe.

Awaking to the horrible realization that he had been injected for the fifth and final time, Pyroth heads to the Cafeteria to seek some sort of company. There he runs across Avery and Antony and he informed them of his imminent change shortly before it began. Avery watched in horror as the man changed completely into a four-legged canine, becoming the young blonde's worst fear and what had been haunting his dreams for some time. Doing what she could, Antony comforted Pyroth and sent Avery for meds. As soon as it was over Avery took off and Antony invited Pyroth back to her duplex for a joint. While the two smoked they talked about Billy, the Island staff, and their interest in body art. Tired from the change, Pyroth feel asleep and Antony feel asleep soon after.

Following the smell of meat being roasted, Nita stumbles into Pyroth who was in the middle of preparing a pig he'd just caught for lunch. Being friendly, the coyote introduces himself and invites Nita to join him. The main focus of their conversation becomes new islanders and the dreaded "Welcome to the Island" speech. Nita also mentions Cody and his visit with the dolphins and Pyroth shows off his scars. After packing up the leftover meat and excusing himself, the coyote-man heads home for a shower.

Synopsis: Antony calls in Aubrey to put a stop to Billy's drug-abusive ways once and for all. The women try to figure out where on earth he could have gotten the drugs to begin with.

Sneaking out for a midnight snack, Natsumi encounters Newt searching the dirt for worms. Startled by the woman and still concerned about further contamination after his talk with Sabin, Newt pulls up his mask as Natsumi questions him. Unable to resist his new froggy urges, Newt lifts his mask, snatching a worm with his tongue, but ends up making himself choke. Fortunately Natsumi immediately comes to his rescue, but only to have the worm smack her in the face when Newt finally coughs it up. The two get to talking and Newt learns that Natsumi arrived on the Island as an interpreter and starts to wonder if she, too, has been contaminated by the subjects. Together the two share a jar full of insects, then call it a night.

Sitting on the beach, watching the sunset, Zach found himself in the company of a despondent Fiona. Recognizing him as the man who had told her that the idea to have a party was a stupid one, Fiona admitted to how right he was. As they spoke Fiona talked about missing her eighteenth birthday and started to become depressed, thinking of home, her parents and Annie. The conversation does not last long when Fiona stands up abruptly and takes her leave.

Having just recently gone through her second change, Kim was pouring through books in the Entertainment room when Cassidy came in to return a book of her own. A bit suprised by Kim's change, Cassidy tries to help the girl figure out what she is becoming. Though unsure, Kim shows Cass a picture of the pterodactyl and expresses his suspicions. Still very reluctant to talk to the staff, Cassidy encourages the other girl to finally contact them and find out what she is turning into. Once they return to Kim's duplex, they buzz that labs, only to get Dr. Moreau on the other end. He confirms Kim's suspicions, insults her intelligence, then ends the conversation abruptly. Annoyed, Kim tries to wrap her mind around the idea of becoming a dinosaur and Cass tries to help comfort her. Finally Kim asks to be alone and Cass leaves.

Past Events & RP Summaries for August 2006

Careful planning all leads to an important moment- the attack of Dr. Aubrey Lockheart by Alec Derring and Tommy Christian. While Alec distracts the good doctor, Tommy waits for his moment. It comes then, and a syringe with Drain-O is pressed against Aubrey's neck as the two make their demands. Moreau has to make his appearance in 15 minutes... or else. While Alec appears to be a mostly unknowing accomplice, Tommy contemplates his criminal actions. Moreau appears then, after calling someone to complete a mysterious task which will save the day. Zachary, Amaya, and Kaveri soon join the scene, adding to the chaos. Moreau pulls out his hidden trump card then. The chips put near the base of the spinal column of each of the Islanders has a nifty little feature- it is able to be programmed to completely freeze every one of them, while letting their senses continue. Moreau takes his chance to pummel the helpless Alec, prompting Tommy to try and make a confession (which isn't vocalized, of course). Both are beaten up some more, and Moreau leaves. The jolt to the spine begins to wear off then, though it has the unfortunate side affect of leaving painful spasms for several days.

Islanders Involved: Natsumi, Newton, Aubrey
Synopsis: After Natsumi's 50% change, the developing fetus suffers from the shift, and passes away. Then, apon leaving her duplex with a series of cramps, runs into Newton and goes into labor. (Woo, convenient placements) Newton runs to get Aubrey, the only doctor he can think of, and she deliveres the stillbirth.

They say misery loves company, and this proves very true for Chana and Stewart. They both transform at the same time in each other's company. F and Maryke meet and start talking. Soon they find that they have some things in common. F makes a visit to Maryke’s room despite her protests. In Maryke’s room they both undress for each other. F gets his hopes up but is fooled into putting on a pair of Maryke’s underwear and is then to his great disappointment pushed out of the room.

Synopsis: On his very first night on the Island, the dhole serum already pumped into his system, Sabin sends Lucas out into the jungle where he stumbles across Ambrose. Still oblivious to the truth of the Island, Lucas mistakes Ambrose for a werewolf as he watches him change for the final time.

After taking a shower, Aubrey decides to talk to Moreau despite her fears for his reaction. But Moreau already has a clue of what has happened. He knows she was with Billy and that her body temperature rose over a period of time. He knows this because he secretly planted a chip into Aubrey when she was hurt earlier. Aubrey admitted that she had made a mistake and it was decided that they should spend some time away from each other. Aubrey would live among the islanders as a test of her loyalty to Moreau. As Aubrey leaves Moreau ponders whatever he should do if Aubrey decides to make the “wrong” choice.

Maryke wanders deep into the jungle and comes across Jamal. Their conversation takes a turn towards alluding to an exchange of 'favours'. Jamal leads Maryke out of the jungle where they run into Antony, who seems to take an immediate dislike to Maryke. Maryke gives her duplex no. to Jamal and leaves. As Aubrey returns from the cave behind the waterfall where she had a very intimate meeting with Billy she runs into Sabin to her great surprise. Sabin is out to inspect what Billy is up to since he suspects he has been taking drugs again and because he’s been out of the camera’s sight for a while. Sabin quickly adds two and two together after seeing how messy Aubrey is and all of the tentacle marks she has on her body. Sabin is amused by the situation and they start to discuss what to do next. Aubrey is not sure whatever she wants Moreau or Billy. If she chooses Billy, Moreau will sooner or later find out and they will be punished but she’s not entirely happy together with Moreau. Sabin has several suggestions for what to do, but neither of them is very appealing. Either she can tell Moreau about her “mistake” with Billy immediately and hope for forgiveness, try to gain enough trust from him so that she is allowed to go back to land where she can escape or she can choose a serum of her own to inject herself with and live with the islanders. Afterwards Sabin drops Aubrey off at the labs so she can take a shower and clean herself up.

Aubrey arranges a meeting with Billy behind the waterfall that Aubrey knows is un-surveyed. They have a woman to octopus talk about Billy’s past and drug habits. Aubrey’s and Moreau’s relationship is also brought up. But as the discussion progresses words change into action; Aubrey and Billy gets a bit too close physically then Moreau would like. Afterwards Aubrey realises that Billy probably won’t be the only one that’s going to be punished this time if Moreau finds out.
