Scrawled on the inside, in handwriting befitting a child who has taken one to many blows to the head, is the name -
OFELIA. - scribbled under that is what looks like a paw print and the name "SERINTH"
This logbook is well warn and smells faintly of urine and turpentine. Whomever comes across this should be warned about it enough to quickly return the book to its owner.

The first page actually has a table of contents, as if the owner of the logbook likes to keep track of whatever it is they're currently doing. The handwriting is still horrible and the pages are heavily stained with what is (hopefully) not blood.
o1 History o2 Ofelia o3 Serinth o4 Roleplay o5 Relations o6 Flitters - Puck & Juno
The art of Ofelia was drawn by demon_pachabel.

Coming from an old, old (so very old) family of Tanners and whatever else generally comes with tanning, Ofelia was born and raised in the Crafthall to do nothing but that - tanning. The youngest out of a set of two, her older brother already 15 turns when she was born, Ofelia quickly became something that clung to either his side or that of her father, her mother being a Journeywoman who oft traveled to different holds and Weyrs assisting others. Whenever her mother would return her father would then go off, both parents never wanting to leave their children without for too long a period of time (Ofelia seemed pretty darn prone to causing accidents that injured others), and thus the young girl managed to grow up with a fair share of parenting from both sides. Her father taught her how to walk and talk with attitude and sway, while her mother taught her how to not be a jerk. It evened out, her brother picking up the little pieces here and there by teaching her how to be social in different levels of peer groups. Ofelia did well with the boys and girls of her own age, as well as those who were older.
Following the course of those born in the Halls, Ofelia was apprenticed as soon as she was able and took to the task as per her blood. She loved the part of her job that came to curing and dying, the different chemicals amazing and she enjoyed working with them and finding out what could and could not explode. Many of her fellow apprentices and even a few family members were victims of her attempts at finding new colors and new methods, though thankfully her exceptional curiosity was a phase she quickly outgrew only to have it replaced with a sense of stubbornness that could rival the meanest of any herdbeasts. This phase she did not outgrow, only developing it into an art form. Unfortunately the young tanner was only good at just that - tanning, and showed no signs of having either skill or interest in any of the trades that followed hand in hand. She could not work the leather into clothing like her mother, nor into boots like her brother and father, yet it did not seem to bother her nor the rest of her family. If she enjoyed tanning, they simply let her tan.
At sixteen turns Ofelia was asked to walk the tables and become an official journeyman, her turns of working with her parents, her brother, and others aiding her along the way with tips and tricks that pulled her ahead. The young woman turned down the offer (not caring that it wasn't really an offer), claiming she'd rather wait and become one around the same time her friends did. The offer came up again three turns later, when she was nineteen, though she balked at it once more. Several of her friends still weren't there yet and she didn't want to leave them behind just yet - it would be boring to move ahead without familiar faces at her side. However at her twentieth Turnday she decided that walking the tables fairly soon might be a good thing, seeing as people were starting to drop hints a little heavier than usual on it, and Ofelia agreed that at the next chance she'd Walk. Then her parents asked her for help with an errand to a hold, and she left the hall accompanied by her brother. While Apprentices, be them Junior or Senior, were not usually allowed outside of the Hall unless searched, Ofelia was given permission (and a push) thanks in part to her brother's influence and her already apparent interest in moving a rank up. She is currently traveling in order to "expand her talents", though she seems to have settled in at the Weyr rather well during her "temporary stay".
An Addition: At the Age of 20 turns, while sitting in the stands and being rather impatient - Ofelia Impressed to Crimson Serinth. The Weyr had better look out.

YOUR SERINTH CAN'T HURRY WHEN OFELIAMINE IS HARPING AWAY UP THERE! Name: Serinth Color: Crimson Animal: Domestic Canary
Crimson Serinth is, well, she's a handful. The sort of handful you want to let go but really can't because you're having entirely too much fun. She's witty and energetic, sociable and boisterous... a fun dragon to be around and talk to. That said, she's not a ditz, Serinth is actually quite cunning, using the playful, nonserious front as a mask to really make her 'serious' moments pop.
That said, she isn't exactly known for taking anything seriously. Whether its from nerves or a general inability to take life seriously, this Crimson is prone to laughter at the most inappropriate times. Only her rider will know just why this goof of a dragon is finding a release that way.
Serinth also absolutely loves debate. She revels in discussing the controversial, especially since she sits on the very edge of controversy. As a Crimson, she's both a fertile female and an atypical dragon and is well aware of that. She doesn't take offense at most things, rather delighting in learning what other people think (she believes her own stuff thanks, and that's what right for her) - but her lack of sobriety and sometimes blithely brutal honesty can, and does, quite offend others.
As far as Flights go... it's just another something to her. She's neither driven to breed nor to fight, and because she doesn't take either role too seriously, this Crimson seems unable to decide one way or another. Indeed, that's an overarching trait for Serinth - she'd rather dally then make the choice. Perhaps Hers will help to straighten out that almost wishy-washy approach.
Why Me? Oh Faranth, look out Trine Weyr. If people thought troublesome pranksters would give them grief, they've never dreamed of the day a pair like Ofelia and Serinth would grace their presence. Practically the same spirit embedded in a human and dragon form, both of these "red-heads" are likely to leave an impression wherever they go. Literally. Serinth's wishywashy nature is sure to do Ofelia's already stubborn opinions no favors, while Ofelia's desire to be everyone's best friend isn't going to help Serinth when it comes to being serious and getting some respect she occasionally may feel she deserves. Also, Ofelia doesn't know a shardin' thing about the Weyr. Serinth isn't going to make this any better either. There's one thing though, more than anything, that this pair will get from one another - and that's a headache. Two peas in a pod or two heads ready to be smashed together? Only time will tell, and for the time being Trine Weyr had better look out.

name : Puck color : Green
main use : Message relay/companionship known commands : Puck knows quite a few verbal commands, as she is not a young flitter and Ofelia re-enforces what she knows almost daily.
- Go! go between and deliver a message - Stay! don't move - Home! go to where Ofelia is staying and wait there - Gimmie~ bring back whatever is requested
personality : Puck is a surprisingly bright flitter, her turns in age giving her an advantage in smarts over younger flitter. Her memory isn't something to really write home about, seeing as she's not as bright as a Gold, yet her power of memory doesn't leave her in the dust when Ofelia needs her to do things for her.
Rather vocal, but not to the point of annoyance, Puck has a way of chirping to let Ofelia know she's still there and is listening in on whatever is needed or wanted. It's sometimes believed these two have conversations between one another, but it's highly doubtful.
obtained via : Puck's egg was found near one of the picking vats in the Tannery. Likely part of a clutch laid by an absent minded green in a location that was warm, the egg this green hatched from was the only one to survive the harsh heat and the corrosive chemicals and bi-products that often come with tanning.
Ofelia found the egg beneath a basket and quickly took it in, surprised to find it hatching on her within a few candlemarks of bringing it to her room.
