Okay, Ofelia discovered that she now had several problems since the sun had come into the sky.

One, she was lost. She didn't even know where she was or how she'd gotten into this part of the Weyr yet it was fairly obvious she wasn't alone. There were many men and woman, some of whom she recognized as Dragonriders because of the way they stood and how worn their leathers were, but that didn't help ease her unease.

Two, she was...feeling odd. Ever since that scream had come from a Green dragon and others had given pursuit Ofelia had been feeling off. Her pulse was racing and her temperature was rising. She was pretty sure her vision was flickering too, like she was dizzy from spending too much time near a very hot vat, yet only moments before she'd been feeling fine.

What was going on? The young tanner leaned against one of the walls and did her best to stay away from the scattering people, many of them partnering up with one another and heading off to what looked like rooms in the Weyr. What was going on?

S'ren was among the last of the riders to enter the area, not moving in as quickly as his body might have wanted him to. He hadn't been hold-bred, but somehow he had always had rather mixed feelings about the aftermath of flights. It was necessary, no doubt, but he felt somewhat guilty for using strangers that way. (Then again, it wasn't as if they didn't enjoy it, so really he should stop being so concerned about it.)

The brownrider was quite a bit surprised when he spotted a familiar figure leaning against a wall. "Ofie?" he questioned, voice somewhat strained as his tension rose. She was quite an attractive woman, which wasn't helping matters any. "What are you doing here?" She was a Tanner, wasn't she? Why was she in this area now of all times?

". . .S'ren?"

Ofelia turned as soon as she heard her familiar nickname herald her ears, her eyelids rather heavy and her cheeks flushed. Her lips were pouted and opened just a little bit, most of her breathing being done through her mouth. It was clear she was very hot and bothered by something, the cause of which was very clearly the Flight that had just occurred. Ofelia wouldn't know all this of course, not being from the Weyr and not having been near a rising dragon even in her short time here.

"I. . . I got lost, and I dunno where here is even. I was tryin' ta get back when I started ta feel ill, and now I dunno what's wrong with me. Kinda feels like I'm burnin, ya know?"

The Tanner took a few steps towards the familiar Brownrider, her body sending her signals now that she looked at him - signals she mildly understood. Needs of the body or lust hadn't ever really been one of her top priorities before, sex wasn't that big of an issue or not really welcomed while she was learning her craft. She wasn't a stranger to such feelings entirely though, she knew something was amiss. The way S'ren was looking at her as well was funny, and she was pretty sure her own expression matched.

"What's goin' on? Why do I feel so weird? It's...unnervin'."

She wrapped her arms about her frame as she stopped a few steps away from S'ren, her gaze cast down and to the side.

She had gotten lost? Oh what horrible timing.

... Well, fortunate timing actually. It was quite clear that she too had been among those affected by the flight, so perhaps her being here was for the best. And better I than some stranger, he rationalized as she drew closer, heart pounding heavily in his chest. "Ofie," he said in a soft sigh, closing the distance between them and drawing her close to him.

"The flight..." That was the only explanation he was able to offer before their lips were locked together in a passionate kiss. He felt some surprise and hesitance from the Tanner at first, but that quickly faded away into mutual passion. He released her for just a moment, amber eyes searching grey ones for consent before they were to move this to an empty room.

At first Ofelia had pushed back against S'ren when he pulled her close, her hands resting on his chest, but after they broke apart from that first kiss she felt her fingers curl against his tunic and her lips once against met his. She could feel the warmth of his hands against her lower back and behind her shoulder, and despite how she'd always thought behind held like a man would be kinda gross she...rather enjoyed this touch. It wasn't super amazing or anything, but it wasn't bad either. Her hands slid up from his chest and around his neck, her body pulling in closer to the point where they were almost connected.

She knew from the look in his eyes that something was going on that both of them wanted, and without speaking any words she nodded her head softly before shifting her gaze over towards the row of doors that were nearby. It made a lot more sense now what they were all for and what she'd be doing in there. . . with S'ren. Her stomach felt slippery and her heart pounding a little, but this wasn't so bad. If S'ren lead she would follow.

"It's...it's alright then."

There was a great sense of relief at the nod, and even more so at the verbal agreement. One hand still resting against the small of her back, he gently led her into one of the vacant rooms so that they might be alone.

~~~~~
It was some time later when S'ren began to come back to. He was tired, but it was a very good tired. He couldn't remember after-flight relief ever having been quite like that before, and even now the feel of Ofie's warm body next to him was a comforting one.
I told you I liked that girl, Tereth remarked over their mental link, sounding both smug and amused at the same time. He of course had been present through the hole thing. Several times. She's very different from the others.
That she is, S'ren replied, smiling softly as he looked down at the sleeping figure in his arms. So beautiful... He lightly pushed a stray strand of strawberry blond hair from her face, fingers lightly brushing her cheek from the action.
For her part Ofelia couldn't remember ever sleeping so soundly or feeling so heavy all at the same time. Her slumber had been dreamless which suited her well enough, and after a little while of laying on the verge of waking her eyes blinked opened. She inhaled deeply as she rolled to look at the source of heat next to her and her eyes opened wide to see that someone actually was next to her.
Okay, yeah, that hadn't been a dream. Her legs really did hurt and she did feel like she'd been tasted all over, if not actually having been done so. From what she could see without shifting she had hickeys all up and down her torso, but it wasn't anything she was going to panic or be shamed over. Her brother would probably ask her about a few things if they'd branched to her neck or anywhere else that would show, but until then? Who cared.
". . . .Good mornin'."
Her words were quiet, a far cry from how loud Ofelia normally was whenever she spoke to anyone. A soft smile spread across her face as she lifted her hand from her side to touch S'ren's cheek, the tips of her fingers resting on his chin. The motion didn't exactly take that much effort to do yet she still felt a little tired from it, but not a feeling that was doing to stop her from moving around.
"Good evening," he replied, still smiling as she touched his face. "Sleep well?" S'ren wasn't left completely unmarked by their endeavors either, but he didn't particularly care. It had been well worth it.
Don't forget to eat at some point, Tereth quipped, still sounding amused for some reason. You two will need your strength.
He had to keep himself from rolling his eyes, remembering that Ofie couldn't hear the mental dialogue between them. I don't believe anyone asked you. And since when did you become my mother? S'ren could almost picture Tereth laughing at that remark from the spike of amusement her received thereafter. The dragon seemed to get the point though and left him be.
"Probably one of the best sleeps I've had since comin' to the Weyr, if not one of the best sleeps I've had period. I didn't think I'd be so tired after. . . well. Yeah."
In spite of herself and her normal collected nature Ofelia blushed at the thought of the actions she'd just committed. This probably wasn't the time or place to tell her partner that this had been her first, he could likely tell from the blood on the sheets or anything she had said during the course of the event. Ofelia also wasn't going to ask if this meant anything at all because she knew it didn't. Naive about Weyr ways or not she'd heard the rumors about what happens during Flights and how people normally respond to them.
To S'ren, this likely meant nothing.. . . so it should mean nothing at all to her as well. Ofelia was pretty sure she could deal with that, but she'd have to convince herself of that first. She was Crafthall born and raised, where people only had one lover and they stayed with them for as long as they could. Things like free love.. . .well. She had to move along.
"I guess I should be gettin' up an' goin', no point in loiterin' around now. Have ya seen my pants?"
The Tanner did her best to act like nothing was wrong as she shifted to sit up, her loosened hair falling about her body and framing her bosom. It hurt to move in her lower regions, her body stinging, but she didn't need to sit here and dwell on things.
"Mhm, that was a nice sleep," S'ren echoed back, watching as a blush crossed her cheeks. It hadn't escaped his notice that this had been her first, and there was a small level of guilt at the circumstances under which this had happened. Especially since she was born in a crafthall and most likely held a different philosophy than what they had at the Weyr.
"Ah, um, I believe they ended up over here somewhere," S'ren replied, getting up to help her search. Finding said pants, he held them out in offering to her. "Here they are." He was silent for a moment as she began to dress, and when he spoke again there was obvious concern in his eyes and voice. "Ofie... Are you alright? Did you want to talk about this?"
"Eh? Talk about what?"
Ofelia brushed a strand of hair from her face and behind her ears as she pulled her pants on, her body inwardly wincing at the motions and the slight pain it caused her. She couldn't really remember much except for pleasure during the whole ordeal but the after effects were pretty much evidence that her body wasn't so ready to get moving just yet. She jumped up a bit to get her pants the rest of the way on, snapping their leather clasps together before checking her seams.
"This is common Weyr stuff, right? Did ya think I'd be bothered or somethin'? Even someone like me from the Crafthalls can change their views when they gotta, not like I can afford not ta do so."
What she was saying and how she looked were two different things entirely, her eyes not really raising up to meet S'ren's. She was okay with all of it, really, but part of her just wasn't that ready to going back and being friendly. She needed time to process, time to make sure her voice didn't tremble as she spoke.
"Next is my shirt, or are ya gonna stand there naked and look at my body for a while longer? I don't mind lookin' at you either if that's how it'll be, but I'm sure someone's gonna need ta clean these rooms."
PostPosted: Thu Jun 10, 2010 9:20 pm
"Ah, sorry," he said, looking away to find his own pants. It had somehow slipped his mind that he was undressed. "I don't doubt your ability to cope, but... I'm sorry to have caught you off guard like that. I know you weren't exactly down in this area on purpose." The brownrider located his discarded clothes and began to dress himself, keeping his eyes away from the tanner as she finished dressing as well. In the Weyr it wasn't at all uncommon for a person's first time to be the result of a dragon rising, but again Ofie was not of the Weyr. Having been raised in a crafthall, evening knowing of Weyr practices beforehand probably wouldn't make things any less unsettling for the poor woman.
"Stop. Don't apologize to me."
Ofelia stopped in her dressing and looked up at S'ren, a bewildered look on her face. Someone apologizing to her was the absolute last thing she wanted to hear, especially after something like this happened. Not only was it careless it was also....cruel. Her face reflected those feelings of upset for only a moment before she forced it all back with a smile. Business Face, she called it.
"I don't think this was such a bad thing. At least it was with someone I knew, ya know? I dunno what I woulda done if I'd been taken off by a stranger or something. I guess I should actually say thank you, since from here out it shouldn't hurt."
PostPosted: Thu Jun 10, 2010 9:50 pm
Shards, I'm just making it worse, the brownrider thought to himself in mild dismay when he saw the brief expression of hurt on Ofie's face.
Perhaps you should stop talking, Mine.
The advice went mostly unheeded. "No no, never said it was a bad thing. You'll have to excuse me, my communication skills are rather... lacking." The ebony-haired rider gave her a small smile before pulling his shirt over his head. Despite the fact that he had rationalized that same fact in his mind earlier on, the thanks made him feel rather awkward, so he chose not to remark on it. "Tereth tells me that it's nearly dinner time. Did you wish to head to the dining hall?"
"Ah...no. No thanks. I...I should probably get ta where my brother is and see if he needs any help with anything. Supposedly we're showin' a few new techniques to the Tanners that ya got here in the Weyr."
Ofelia hadn't meant to outright reject him, but this was getting entirely too awkward for her tastes and she was actually on the verge of biting back tears. Part of her kept saying that everything was okay yet another part of her wanted to scream and punch S'ren in the face. The violent side was slowly gaining ground since it was more or less her natural reaction to anything that upset her, even if it was entirely unintentional.
"I think I can find my way back ta the main hall from here, ya don't have ta worry about me gettin' lost, so I'll be goin' ahead of ya."
The woman had her shirt on by now and was slowly pulling her hair up into its style, though her hands were shaking and not really doing her any good. She gave up after a moment and let it just cascade down about her shoulders, the color looking like a rash of fire in the air. A glance over her shoulder at S'ren left the man with a sad smile, an uneasy smile, but a smile none the less.
"I guess....I'll be seein' ya around."
