No drama unless it's the RP story sort of drama! If something is bothering you, just send me a PM and I'll do my best to help resolve the issue!
Don't post here unless I've given you explicit permission to do so! I personally like to roleplay via AIM or in the shop thread/guild. That way I can document things here and it'll be all neat and organized without a bazillion different posts just to tell one story. Also -- gifts need to be delivered to my PM inbox, not here!
Nothing here is common knowledge! That means that the things that you read here are not things that your character should know unless the info has been released to them via RP.
Don't take things that happen in RP personally. Just.. a fair warning that Mystic and his guardian both are temperamental, and Mystic's mood has the tendency to fluctuate wildly!
You may take any images or RP logs your character(s) are featured in. I usually compile RP logs as I am roleplaying to ensure that I have it, and sometimes I like to illustrate things. So yeah, feel free to take anything that has your characters in it. You don't have to ask for my permission or anything.
These rules are subject to modification. So make sure you check back here ever so often, hm?

The Shadow: As a child Mystic was incredibly mischievous. Things got pretty bad and there were several occasions where he had come close to simply demolishing Reyna's home. He was a child of chaos and havoc, and it wasn't until he learned to control those intense feelings to destroy that he calmed. From that point onwards he was drawn closer to his Guardian and she to him. Their bond seems to be utterly unbreakable. The strength of it was something that even caught Reyna off guard.
They see each other as equals and friends. Their personalities seem to be the exact opposite of one another yet they also mirror each other perfectly. When Reyna is upset and close to giving in to her own darkness, he is calm and drags her out of it. When Mystic's mind is riddled with chaos, she is there to comfort him. Their relationship, obviously, is beneficial to both of them for that reason.
Mystic, however, has the tendency to be a bit possessive of Reyna's attentions. When Sam first came along, he wasn't exactly thrilled at having to share his Guardian's attentions with her, but he adjusted to Sam quite quickly and now sees her as his little sister. He adores her, and is often seen carrying her around or flying through the air with her just to hear her laugh.
For the most part, Mystic is very calm, and he's intensely quiet about his thoughts unless he has a question. He's suspicious and quite wary of people who are new to him. He also seems to be a little uncomfortable around others of his kind and Athan, but it doesn't usually stop his desire to get to know them even if he is a bit shy.
He also seems to have a knack for magic. He greatly enjoys reading the books about magic that are stored away in Reyna's private study. Learning magic seems to be a natural talent of his, but he has as of yet to show indications of any other special abilities.
The Stone: Topaz is a silicate mineral of aluminum and fluorine with the chemical formula Al2SiO4(F,OH)2. It crystallizes in the orthorhombic group and its crystals are mostly prismatic terminated by pyramidal and other faces, the basal pinacoid often being present. It has an easy and perfect basal cleavage, meaning that gemstones or other fine specimens have to be handled with care to avoid developing cleavage flaws. The fracture is conchoidal to uneven. Topaz has a hardness of 8, a specific gravity of 3.4–3.6, and a vitreous luster. Pure topaz is transparent but is usually tinted by impurities; typical topaz is wine or straw-yellow. They may be made white, gray, green, blue, pink or reddish-yellow and transparent or translucent. [Read more @ Wikipedia...]
Mystic Topaz displays a stunning rainbow effect that makes it all at once unique, fashionable, fancy, trend setting, freaky, a symbol of youth, a rebellious mind, or simply the love to be different. The color, brilliance and clarity of the final product depend very much on the quality, cut and polish of the original gemstone.
The Egyptians believed that topaz was colored with the golden glow of the mighty Sun God Ra. This made topaz a very powerful amulet that protected the faithful against harm. The Romans associated topaz with Jupiter, their God of the Sun.
In ancient times it was believed that topaz helps to improve eyesight. The Greeks trusted topaz's supernatural power to increase strength and make its wearer invisible in times of emergency. Topaz was also said to change color in the presence of poisoned food or drink. Its mystical curative powers changed with the phases of the moon. It was said to cure insomnia, asthma, and hemorrhages. Reyna lives just outside of Bass'ken lake. The area where the house is almost entirely secluded, and terribly hard to find unless you already know the way in. She's careful to keep any and all entrances to her property well hidden. Even if you were to find her home, you'd have a difficult time getting in unless you're a welcomed guest (or Athan who simply "appears" out of nowhere).
There are tall wrought iron gates around the property which seperates it from the marshy swamp-like area that the house seems to be surrounded by. Once past the gates, though, the land is firm and lush. It's not something that she speaks of often, but she appreciates her small, simplistic gardens that frame her house.
The house itself appears small when viewed from the outside, but there are an assortment of rooms throughout the house. The decor is often simplistic despite the odd color schemes that Reyna often chooses. Everything seems to have a sort of 'modern' feel to it, but at the same time there are softer elements woven in. Everything is balanced in a particular sort of way, and Reyna gets very upset when any of her things are moved around.
Most of the rooms remained locked to keep prying eyes out. Not even Mystic has been able to explore the entire house, though he has a room of his own. The rooms that are used most frequently include the living room, kitchen, Reyna's art studio, and her and Mystics own seperate rooms. There is also a small herb garden just outside the kitchen that both Mystic and Reyna enjoy spending time in.

Reyna - She is Mystic's guardian, and also Athan's business partner for their shop Twilight Designs. The shop also acts as a headquarters of sorts for guardians and Shadow Fiends alike so they might meet each other and, should they need it, have a safe place to stay in the back room. Despite how well she handles (most) customers, Reyna has quite a temper, and she has quite a bit of trouble controlling it. So much trouble in fact, that she nearly tore into Mystic, and not just verbally. That flare of rage forced her to change forms, but for whatever reason she wasn't able to change entirely and Athan had to force her into one form to save her. That, so far, has been the only time she has ever had a falling out with Mystic. Otherwise, they're quite close, and really good friends. I suppose you could say she's the only real friend I've made so far, but.. I'm not exactly known to be a social butterfly. Perhaps that is just another trait I've inherited from her. She's the only person I feel I truly understand, but.. I'm fairly certain that's more because of the fact we spend a great deal speaking to one another. Plus, she is my bond. I know her feelings and vice versa. It's difficult to not know or understand her.
Samara - Sam and Fragments (her daemon) were born from a book Reyna picked up when she fell victim to the Library of The Forgotten Documents. Since them, Sam has been a constant part of both Reyna and Mystic's lives. She brings a bit of cheer to the household, and really, has managed to soften Reyna up a bit. Another interesting detail is that Samara is telekinetic. Unfortunately for all that live with her, she has no control over it since she's only a baby. Her temper tantrums usually lead to, well, chaos. The good news is that chaos is no stranger to the household in which she resides. Mystic and Reyna have also grown used to her occasional outbursts and now know how to handle it -- duck and cover. My dear, dear little Sam! I consider her to be my little sister. Fragments is quite entertaining, as well, but Sam I definitely have a soft spot for. She's likely to grow up spoiled rotten. It's difficult to say no to her when she looks up at you with those wide, green eyes. I'll admit though, I at first wasn't too thrilled to have her when she first arrived, but now it's hard to imagine day to day life without her. I'm absolutely certain Reyna feels the same way even though she hides it quite well.
Athan - He is a man of many secrets, and of great power, but he is all too aware of how dangerous his secrets are and that power always comes with both price and consequence. He holds himself with a lofty sort of air, though it isn't necessarily because he truly feels he is better than everyone else. Despite that, he does possess a great deal of charm, which is why he makes for an excellent business man. He knows the right thing to say at the right time to smooth over a deal which is why Twilight Designs has become quite profitable. Can we say hate? WHY YES WE CAN. I truly can't stand him. His attitude grates on my nerves (Hawk just takes it to a lovely extreme). Not to mention he creeps me out with how he just appears out of no where. He's kept that little trick to a minimum as of late. Those sort of theatrics went out of style when the black robes did Athan, dear. The b*****d also seems to know things that I ought to know and it is eternally frustrating that he knows in the first place! Gah. That didn't even make sense. See what the very thought of this man drives me to?! And for the record -- he is not family. Not to me at least. Though he may spoil Sam all he wants so long as said spoiling doesn't result in disaster a.k.a her being bonded to a random creature he's concocted. May I also add that I hate feeling like someone's experiment?
Izzy - Isabella Tuuli is a changeling who is a friend of Reyna's -- or so she claims. The truth of that statement is questionable as the demon is always tense and on edge whenever the cat decides to show up on her doorstep. The only known fact about Izzy is that she has ties to Reyna's past which is something not even Reyna can remember. She has the tendency to be the precursor to really bad news, though her warnings are helpful. Mostly. If not a bit vague. These warnings usually come right after something eventful has happened in Reyna's life (i.e. the battle with Doran). She has a very playful personality (as her second form is that of a cat!) and she loves to flirt, though underneath that playful demeanor she's all business and is quite serious about it, too. Izzy is a nut. She also seems to enjoy harassing Reyna, and for whatever reason, Reyna doesn't slice her in two for it. It's like she's holding something over her head to prevent her from doing so. I'm not so certain if it's something good or if it's just... blackmail. Either way Reyna refuses to offer up any sort of info about her. I'm really not so certain on my feelings about her, nor am I all that certain I appreciate her constant flirting with me or Reyna. Mostly, it's just unsettling. Definitely developing a keen dislike for cats.
Charles (Die) - Charles, or Die as he prefers to be called, is a medusa who was raised by Izzy. Unfortunately, she is rarely at home due to her multitude of nefarious occupations that keep her away on long assignments. Since Die was quite lonely all by himself, Izzy sent him to live with Reyna which came as a shock to the demon and her Shadow. He has fully taken over the basement and is known to be a blanket-thief. Despite that, he is a very charming and sweet young man. He is also very sensitive at times, and doesn't at all want to hurt anyone's feelings. He very much enjoys dressing up in interesting clothing, and enjoys listening to all sorts of music. He also appreciates a good cup of tea, and anyone who will share it with him over good conversation. It's not that I need my blankets, but it's the fact that they are mine and he takes them! Not to mention he likes to intrude into my room and curl on my bed while I'm trying to read. Yes, yes, he's nice, but by the gods I demand SPACE of my own. I do not appreciate waking up to a medusa coiled in my bed! I seriously doubt anyone would appreciate such a thing. I certainly don't!

Hawks Eye - Mystic doesn't like him much. At all. Somehow I have my doubts that their relationship shall improve considering the very thought of Hawk (at the moment anyway) makes Mystic feel irrationally angry. Plus, there's that overwhelming desire to throttle him, but unfortunately, Seers being what they are, it's hard to get the upper hand, a word in, or.. an opening to commence said throttling. The fact that Hawk seems to get along with with Athan just sort of adds salt to his wounds where the Seer is concerned. Dislike isn't a strong enough word, and hate just doesn't cut it. It's a feeling that is most unsettling, as I.. can't say I've ever hated anyone before that I can remember. At least... not in this lifetime. Aside from Athan, that is. Though I think if I had to pick and choose, I'd choose Athan's company over the Seer's. He at least doesn't mock me at every turn.
Bloodstone - Mystic has heard of Bloo through his guardian (as his guardian is Wren's wife, Halo), and he encountered him briefly when he was still a wisp, but they have not yet met since he has grown to be a child. Supposedly he is very calm and serene -- "zen-like" if you will. One has to hope that Bloo is nothing at all like Hawk. Hopefully the Seer hasn't managed to influence him from their sharing the same household, but from what I've heard I doubt that. Perhaps if I'm lucky Bloo will influence Hawk. Heh.
Black Pearl - Though Pearl might not know it, and niether does her guardian, Mystic met her once when she'd first been created. Mystic was amused that he had once been a tiny wisp like her. She was one of the very first wisps he'd ever seen. I've not met her since then, though I think I would like to meet her now that she has grown. If only to see whether or not I'll be inclined to dislike all others of my own kind the way I do Hawk. Though when I sit and think about it, I think Hawk is just a special breed. That, and perhaps Reyna is right -- the constant attitude is a Seer thing.
Rhodolite - He came in contact briefly with Rhodes when he and Reyna were at an art store. He felt the presence of another of his kind and lo and behold, there was Rhodes and Aturos who... Reyna tripped over. Another one of Athan's creations has escaped him. I suppose I ought to bring it to his attention, but I have faith that Reyna will beat me to the chase. I'd rather avoid him at all costs. Rhodes, on the other hand, interests me some. As does his guardian. How exactly did a blind man come across such a stone? Or does Athan know about this wayward little wisp afterall. Once can't help but wonder considering how many secrets the ever so wonderful benefactor of Twilight Designs keeps. Doesn't he know that secrets are dangerous? Heh. Perhaps he ought to take a little more of his own advice every now and then.
Sugilite - One of the many Halloween party guests, Azel was there with his guardian and disguised with a hankerchief as a ghost. Not much else can be said so far, as.. Mystic finds all wisps fairly entertaining. Curious little bug! Or.. ghost, rather. His guardian was particularly interesting, though I'm not so sure I'm so fond of being crowded around to explain my 'race,' as it were. Either way, Luthe.. sort of reminded me of Reyna and Wren -- at least the general feel of.. er.. I don't know how to put it to words. I think he's a demon, too..? Darkness must attract them. Azel.. reminds me of someone or possibly something, but I can't quite recall or even know what that inkling of feeling is... aside from that it's quite aggravating to both know and not know in the very same instance..
Labradorite - This talented little wisp managed to pull the tendrils of shadow that remain about her stone into the form of butterfly wings. Needless to say, Mystic was impressed by this. I stand corrected! Labbie is the bug, Azel is the ghost. Hehe. Even in her 'normal' wisp form she looks a bit like a butterfly to me. Perhaps when she grows she'll have wings. I should like to see that. A Fiend with wings. Not that they'd be all that useful as we can float and fly without them. Ahh well. Shall still be an entertaining sight to behold.
Tsavorite - Savvy was actually born at the Halloween party! It was quite a surprise. Mystic hopes he explained what a Fiend was properly to poor Ying. What's a Fiend? What are you? These seem to be the questions I answer the most whenever I meet new people.. or.. when I'm simply roped into explaining by Athan. Why ME? He ought to explain it himself! He certainly knows more about the subject than I do as he's the all powerful 'creator' and other such b.s. Grr. Ying is sweet though, and.. I do feel sorry for her. I've a feeling Savvy will be more than she's bargained for. Hopefully she will be able to stomach whatever chaos Savvy will bring her.
Smokey Quartz - Technically, I suppose, you could say that Smokey and Mystic have never met, at least not in Smokey's current lifetime. It's common knowledge that Smokey was once the person that truly started everything into motion so very, very long ago by trapping people within gems. When Doran appeared to threaten Athan once more (and with him the existence of all the Fiends and their guardians) he was foiled by one of his own spells, and trapped within a piece of quartz that then clouded over and became the smokey quartz wisp we know him, or her rather, to be today. And really, I avoided her like the plague after she was 'born,' though in all honesty I'm amused that he came back as a she. Fitting.. don't you think? I'm inclined to dislike her on principal, but despite everything it wouldn't be entirely fair for me to judge her like that without ever meeting her... or would it? Bah. Thinking about it gives me a headache.
Citrine - Full of energy and life, Citrine is a very playful child. Mystic happened to be wandering about and felt the presence of another of his kind and found little Citrine. So far, it seems as though the two will get along quite well. It's rather nice to have met another Fiend that is not a wisp that hasn't the same attitude as Hawk. Really, it was quite refreshing. I've also promised the little lady a playdate soon. Part of that, I'm afraid, is going to involve makeup. I'm debating on whether or not I should be unnerved by that. Either way she is a delightful girl, and I am looking forward to seeing her again reguardless. Her bond also seems interesting. He fairly radiates strength and power, but not in a way that bothers me. Maybe that's just because he reminds me very faintly of Reyna. She has that same presence, but Allon is no demon.
