Hair: A dark brown; long enough to partially cover his eyes and ears, looks a bit scruffy but can be smooth if he attempts to fix it

Build: Skinny
Physical desc.: Zuki is rather shorter than he'd like to be, but he can't help his height problem. He doesn't feel the need to work out or exercise anymore than he already does just from traveling with his pokemon. He has bad knees that act up every now and again from an accident with a Rapidash when he was younger. He dispises this little problem and tries to ignore it as much as possible, though sometimes they get too painful to ignore. He is terribly skinny, which is a great surprise to him because of how much he eats, so he supposes he has a very fast metabolism.
Clothes: Usually he can be found wearing some short-sleeved shirt and pants, usually jeans. He wears one black and white striped armwarmer on his left arm that extends from his elbow to his hands, forming a fingerless arm-length glove. He doesn't take it off in public for reasons he'd rather keep to himself. He always carries a side-bag with him which carries all of his supplies. He also wears a silver necklace that he never takes off either, a gift from someone special who he's no longer in contact with.

Likes: Pokemon, music, photography, one-on-one conversations, traveling, milk, flowers
Dislikes: Crowds, large cities, demanding or cruel people
Strengths: He is very skilled at the violin and carries his with him everywhere, after his mother started teaching him at the age of ten. He knows a multitude of songs by heart and will play them at someone's request. Most of the songs he plays though are completely original, a melodic mix of notes to fit his mood. He also loves photography and always carries his camera around with him; his parents gave him an excellent digital camera for his last birthday before they saw him off, and he loves taking pictures of anything he finds interesting. Which would be pokemon and scenery. He has become quite good at whipping out his camera and snapping several excellent pictures before a pokemon can run off, after lots of practice.
Weaknesses: His lack of people skills, his weak knees, his height - a multitude of things, in his opinion.
Personality: He is very quiet and soft-spoken; he would much rather spend his time with pokemon than with people. He will talk with others, though he's rather nervous when doing so. He hates large crowds and avoids them if at all possible, holding a certain past experience close as another reason to avoid crowds. He will become more comfortable around others once he gets to know them. He is fiercely loyal to anyone whom he deems a friend, though he isn't as willing to trust others as he once was for personal reasons.
History: Kazuki grew up with both parents in their secluded house in Kanto. They homeschooled him so he would at least have some form of education, as they lacked any sort of school nearby. Mostly, though, Kazuki learned about pokemon. When he was eight years old his father let him ride his rapidash, but the normally calm creature spooked and reared, throwing young Zuki off. Since then his knees have never been the same; it wasn't noticable at first, but now that he's grown they are rather weak and give out from time to time.
Shortly thereafter they moved to a large, bustling city, and poor Zuki didn't know what in the world to do. He was shuffled into public school and did horribly, too worried about avoiding the school bullies to concentrate on his schoolwork. Eventually, after several years, his parents pulled him out and moved out into the secluded country once more. Much to his relief they neither resumed homeschooling him nor sent him off to another school for a proper education. Right before his nineteenth birthday his family received word of a new territory called Zatao. Kazuki was immediately drawn to the idea of going to such a place, mostly uninhabited by people. His parents were reluctant about such a proposition, but allowed him to go by himself. Shortly thereafter he was packed, ready, and left on the boat to Zatao.

Nickname: Manami - Japanese; mana 'love, affection' + mi 'beautiful' or 'sea, ocean.'

Coloring: Normal
Markings: Black-tipped horn; black patch around left eye with three dots extending backwards and decreasing in size.
Met: After Kazuki arrived at Katarina, he wandered through town to find the way out so he could get to the forest, and he ended up walking past the day care. His curiosity got the better of him so he went in, and was offered a pokemon, as a few had been left behind by their trainers. He chose the only Seel of the three, thanked the caretaker, then left to find the forest again and to get more acquainted with his new pokemon.
Personality: Silly, fun-loving, and carefree are three good words to use that describe this Dewgong. More often than not she is completely oblivious to the goings-on around her, and as well common sense seems to escape her the majority of the time. However, if something goes wrong (and she's actually aware of it), her countenance and demeanor change completely. She becomes a stubborn, determined bundle of nearly endless energy and courage, ready to plow straight through anything in her way to reach her goal. She is also fiercely protective of Kazuki, but usually doesn't show this or her determined side unless the situation is dire.
She also has a bad habit of begging for food from any human she comes across. Luckily she hasn't begged from anyone who severely dislikes begging pokemon, but Kazuki still attempts to rid her of this behavior. It hasn't worked quite yet.

Markings: Single golden ring around ears, eyes, one on his forehead, one per shoulder and one per hip. Series of six golden rings around his tail.
Scars: Three notches in right ear; one scar across the right eye, three across the left eye, two on the left side of his neck, two on his left hip, one across his right side (not visible in picture).
Met: Kazuki joined a large caravan that traveled to the northernmost city of Inhinx and there he befriended Ryou, one of the trio who had forced out all of the humans, thereby leaving the city deserted years before.
Personality: Ryou is not one to mess with. Most of the time he is calm and reserved, though in an instant he can (and will) change to your worst nightmare. He is cynical, a pessimist by all counts, and he values his intelligence, knowledge, and experience. He also has a bit of an ego and takes pride in many things, mostly his intelligence and battle skills. He is also possessive, protective, and once his loyalty is gained, he will fight to the death to protect those he deems worthy. He distrusts humans and pokemon alike, though the former more than the latter, and will not hesitate to attack whether he was provoked or not. The one human he trusts (at least, a bit) is Kazuki; he chose this trainer over all of the others at the Inhinx expedition in hopes of having a second chance at befriending a human.
History: As an Eevee, Ryou belonged to one of the young men who lived in Inhinx, back when it was just built and was just starting to prosper. He and his friends led happy lives, up until the silver was discovered. From that point on, they lived in a literal Hell. Forced to work day and night to rip the silver from the mine walls, Ryou and the others were given little food and water, constantly suffering due to the abuse from the humans. They were treated horribly, called weak and useless because they couldn't bring in more silver for their trainers due to their size. The humans grew more and more greedy, willing to strike down their own if it meant they would obtain more profit. It was during this time that Ryou was blinded and received many of his scars because of the humans.
Sick of the behavior of the humans, Ryou and several other pokemon grew more powerful and eventually evolved, and swiftly chased every last human out of the town. One human was killed in the process, though it was an accident. Even though Ryou and his friends only meant to chase away the humans, all of the other pokemon fled, as well. An Absol that lived with them decided that the territory was his, and thereafter ensured that no other pokemon, besides Ryou and Conrí (a pale Houndoom), invaded his territory.
Oddments: Though Ryou is a normally colored Umbreon, he gets a dark blue aura around him at times. Though he is blind, he uses his psychic abilities to see through the eyes of other pokemon (and people). When he does this, his milky white eyes glow dark blue, and his vision (through the eyes of another) is tinted blue. When he uses strong psychic attacks (which is odd, considering he's a dark-type) the golden rings all over his body instead glow dark blue, but just for the moment when he uses the psychic attack. They glow their normal shade of gold the rest of the time; during the night is when they glow the most, however, under the light of the moon. He also has the ability to possess others, though he hasn't done this since he lived in Inhinx.

Met: Kazuki's parents decided it was time for him to start thinking about following in their footsteps, and open up his own breeding farm. So, they sent him a prime specimen to start with: Basil.
Personality: He is, on the whole, a very happy pokemon. He loves getting attention and/or food from trainers, and will resort to begging to get either. Or both. Any trainer that gives him either -- or both -- he'll love forever, and also remember so he can bother them for either -- or both -- at a later date. He doesn't mind having Kazuki ride him, he actually likes to carry the short trainer around. He knows that if he does anything the human deems worthy enough to tell him 'good boy', he gets food. Although he isn't as overly enthusiastic about the bond he shares with his trainer, as some pokemon are, he is very protective of Kazuki and has already gotten him out of a few tight spots, despite the short time he's been with him. The only time he ever uses attacks is against wild pokemon who are threatening him or Kazuki, or any trainer he's deemed worthy (aka anyone who gave him food/attention).
History: Basil was born and raised on the farm owned by Kazuki's parents. He grew up alongside a multitude of other growlithes, arcanines, ponyta, and rapidash, among a few mareep and miltank. After he evolved, the couple decided to give up the magnificent specimen to their only son, to entice him to start his own farm. They sent the large canine through the system in the pokemon center.

Inhinx Expedition - Kazuki, Manami, and Ryou (a bit) - Kazuki and Manami join a caravan that travels from Katarina all the way to Inhinx; once there, Zuki befriends Ryou and 'captures' his second pokemon.
Coming Home - Kazuki, Manami, and Ryou - All the trainers who went on the Inhinx expedition received a free stay in a lavish hotel. Kazuki meets (and is tackled by) Luna. Once in the dining room, Ryou and Aeon tear it up in a hate-spurred battle, as Aeon is sore over the fact Ryou possessed Aeon's trainer, Jen, at Inhinx.
