The vertically-challenged trainer took slow steps up the path, stopping a few feet short of the entrance as he stared up at the intimidating building. It gleamed in the early afternoon sun, the rays of light shining off the bright copper roof and sandstone block walls. A Pidgey blinked down at him from a nearby street lamp as he stared up at the Contest Hall stupidly, his feet refusing to bring him inside or back home. His pale blue eyes flicked to the large signpost nearby, letting him know he was at least in front of the right building. He gulped and looked down at Ryou, his mouth rather dry. "So.. I guess we're supposed to go in, huh? Luna wants us to, and Nurse Joy even gave us those passes from Jen..." He watched the unmoving Umbreon for several moments and, at finding himself ignored, he looked back up at the large two-story building in front of him.
After another couple of minutes he took a deep breath, still frozen to the spot. "So... Should we go in?" He asked Ryou, still staring at the intimidating building in front of him, but he only received a grunt from the irritated dark-type. "Yeahyou'rerightlet'sjustgohome," he said rapidly in one breath, turning around swiftly to head back. He'd just see Luna later and apologize or something.

"Oh no you don't!" Luna said, flying into the scene with Prince. She hopped off the bird pokemon and immediately dragged both Kazuki by hand and Ryou by the cuff of his neck inside the building. Her pass dangled around her neck, giving her authority to enter.
"I already have some materials to make outfits~I have some sketches if you would like to see, and I brought some materials already." She rambled as she placed Ryou and Kazuki onto a bench. Her eyes glinted and burned with passion on one of her hobbies -- sewing. Prince was perching on Luna's shoulder. He shot the two a look that read 'you two are in for a long ride.'

While Luna and Zuzu had just stepped into the main hall, Jen was just down the hallway finishing up with Aeon's costume. Why he had insisted on dressing up, even though the Raichu wasn't even performing, was beyond her comprehension.
With a final snip, the last bit of thread seperated from the tux top the pokemon was wearing. Smiling, Jen placed the sewing items back into the drawer before handing Aeon his mask.
Excited, Aeon pranced around in the Phantom outfit; he twirled the small cane and swished his cape aroundas the pokemon strutted towards the main hall. "Hang on there, Ghosty! Lemme put this away and we can head out!" Finished, she paced out the door.
Reaching the main hall, she spied and waved at the two trainers. "Hey guys! I'm glad you could come!"

Kazuki 'eep'ed at Luna's sudden appearance and at being dragged into the building, taken completely by surprise. "Uh, okay?" He said, trying to keep his balance before finding himself dumped sideways into a chair. By the time he'd straightened himself out Jen was waving and walking over, and Kazuki found himself trapped in the building. Well, damn, it had almost worked. Oh well, maybe it wouldn't be too bad? Hopefully...
Manami randomly popped out of her pokeball, taking a quick glance around the entrance hall before waddling off elsewhere, obviously to look for food. What went on besides food was of no consequence to her, unless it involved eating.
Ryou pinned his ears back against his head, glaring at the presence he recognized as Luna. He'd be damned if he allowed her to cover him in ribbons and bows. Why he even went along with this he had no idea, but at least he had no desire to bite anyone. Yet.

"Hello Jen~! And of course we would come! This IS the first ever contest...or mock contest...in Zstao. Right Kazuki?" Luna asked, grinning widely at the boy while poking him repeatedly. It could also be taken as intimidating. "I even made a nice costume for Ryou!"
Albireo also popped out of his pokeball as silently and slyly as possible...which wasn't that quietly or sneaky at all. Nonetheless, Luna didn't notice as her Dewgong went to follow Manami curiously. He knew that fellow seels / dewgongs usually sensed food. Maybe she was picking up on food vibes? And maybe she would share!
Prince, with his big-brother instincts tingling, immediately glanced around soon after he heard a pokeball opening. He glared at Albireo following Manami. Didn't he tell that naive teammate of his NOT to wander around away from his trainer? Prince was very tempted to take off after them were he not with his trainer who was discussing contest ideas...or so he hoped. Prince sighed and mentally noted to locate the two later.

"It's good that you guys could come! So, why don't we start the tour of the hall? I promise not to be boring." Tilting her head slightly, she grinned at the other two before motioning towards the large, winding staircase behind her. "Now....This leads to the contestant's lounge. It's the only room upstairs and it over-looks the contest hall below." Jen stopped and went over the room details again in her head. "There's a mini-bar and some couches....plus the wall facing the arena is entirely made of glass, so those who aren't performing can watch."
"But enough about that, how's about we head to the contest arena?" Walking towards the left, Jen pushed open a large oak door outlined in a pale gold. A soft green carpet lead down a small flight of stairs and towards the arenas' edge. "Here, go ahead and take a look around."
Aeon, on the other hand, had seen the two water pokemon wander off. He groaned and did a faceslap; the workers' buffet was down there and if those two got there.....
Sighing, he bounced off the table and took off after Manami and Albireo.

"Err... Yeah.." He said hesitantly, eyeing Luna and leaning over to avoid her insistent prodding, though it didn't help all that much. At the mention of a costume, Zuki cringed a bit. "Yeah, I bet he can't wait to try it on," he offered, receiving an irritated snort in disagreement.
Latching onto any reason to move away from Luna's poking, Kazuki quickly jumped up at the mention of the tour, grabbing Ryou and settling him in his usual perch on his shoulder. He followed Jen into the expansive arena, his nerve slipping with each passing second. It was enormous. How many people could fit in there? Hundreds, probably. Hundreds of people. That would all be watching him, at least for a portion of the contest. The thought made him a tad pale, and his voice wavered a bit. "I don't know if this is such a good idea... I'm not good in front of a lot of people," he admitted, taking slow steps backwards. Maybe if he could just escape their notice and make a run for the exit...
Ryou snorted, flicking his tail, and settled onto Kazuki's shoulders. He could sense the change in lighting as they entered the arena, mostly because the lights in there were plenty and felt stronger than the ones in the lobby. Otherwise, he completely ignored the change in scenery, waiting to either be fed or go home. Or both.
Manami leapt down the hallway, her violet eyes staring at everything intently before dismissing it and continuing on her way. Her delicate nose could detect the scent of food, even from within her pokeball, and she knew it was around here somewhere. But where? She paused in the middle of the hallway, though, spying an abandoned sandwich on the floor which had obviously fallen off a cart or tray of some sort. The only reason she could tell was because it had neither been torn apart nor had bites taken out of it. Not that that mattered to her in the least. With an excited bark she bounded down the hall, sliding to a stop in front of it, and quickly snatched it up before anyone else could. Not that anyone was following her.

"It'll be fiiiiiiine~" Luna said, slinging her arm around the back of Kazuki's neck to make sure he wouldn't leave during the tour. Now that wouldn't be any fun, would it? "But it is big in here!" She looked around a little. Her heart pumped faster. It was quite thrilling to see a future battleground.
Albireo sniffed the air. Food was near. He could smell it, he could FEEL it. He saw that the seel had sped up and then stopped...with something in her mouth? Did she eat it already? He barked and sped up to catch up with her, only to see that she already had a sandwich in her mouth. He pouted. He wanted some of that!
