There's word here of some oversized minipets that need your help wrangling them to the stables. It's up to you to try your best! If you get a few back in, you might even be rewarded for your time!
Step 1: Go out and find the pet. Out in the wide open fog, where there is only fog and then fog, there are sometimes the shapes of minipets. Roll 1d6 to see what you have to wrangle. All apex pets are 6 feet in height.
1. A basilisk - 1d6 2. A goat - 1d8 3. A wolf - 1d10 4. A spider -1d6 5. A tiger - 1d8 6. Turtle - 1d4
The pet must be carried 30 feet. You must INDIVIDUALLY ROLL seperate dice rolls as you goad the pet by dragging it along its reins. The dice you roll for it is the distance it travels. For example, if you roll a goat, you get to roll separate dice rolls of 1d8 until you cumulatively get 30 feet.
If you roll a 1 at any point the pet will run away! The only way to get it back is if you have the basilisk eye item, that will lock it into place.
gaia_star If you and your team successfully defeat it, you get paid a old saddle. It is considered a quest item. Add it to your quest item list
There were some dark stormclouds gathering, and Puella really wasn't sure that she appreciated them at all. She pushed her hair away from her eyes and looked up at the sky with a bit of worry.
There was still time in the day, though, right? There was a group of cloaked villagers with a large amount of minipets just sitting idly in a herd. "Hey, TK," she said, reaching for the tall skeleton boil automatically because she was so accustomed to it. "We should check those out!" Sure, they were also giant minipets, but Puella figured if they were being supervised by villagers, who were getting at least a little friendlier, they were safer than anything else.
Actually...she turned and spotted that cool reaper ghoul with the flaming dog. "Are you interested, too, Verusha?" she asked. She'd be pretty excited to get to know her! She seemed like the kind of ghoul Puella would want to get to know.

Clouds were beginning to roll in, but TK couldn’t remember the weather forecast saying it would be this stormy. He was pretty sure the forecast had called for sunny or partly cloudy weather. It had to be one of the two. As they continued to wander around the village, TK squinted his eyes and stared up at the dark clouds.
“Sure.” He answered without tearing his gaze away from the sky. “I see no harm.”
Finally, he looked back down and followed Puella’s gaze toward the crowd of minipets. He scrutinized the pets, and then turned toward Verusha when the spider ghoul spoke to another. “Yes,” TK started, “if you would like to tag along, that would be lovely.” He threw on a pleasant smile.

Feeling mighty good from that heated battle, Verusha was strolling with a little more pep in her step, hands now folded behind her back instead of in the usual pockets. Not phased at all by the storm, having already seen it prior, and gained a sliver of information on it, the ghoul was more intrigued by what lay ahead of them.
A bunch of villagers all distraught about... giant minis? Well that was sounding pretty interesting. Piercing white orbs flashed over to the petite ghoul who prompted her, aiming a laidback grin her way in response, "Sounds like a good time to me. What do you say, Cannon?" the reaper inquired to her familiar, who gave no more than a soft snort from his nostrils, and a weary close of his eyes. He knew there was no point in even objecting. But, like his keeper, he too was feeling the adrenaline still racing through his body... he felt he could take on any sort of challenge thrown their way. And if it meant dealing with more rowdy, oversized critters, then so be it.
Sparing a look to TK, Verusha's grin peeled back a little more for the once classmate. "Let's get going then." she concluded, wasting no time in heading for the cluster of gathered giant-minis.

It didn't start off with a gentle pitter-patter of scattered raindrops. One moment the dark sky was churning, the next moment the area became drenched in a sudden downpour. No thunder boomed overhead; the only sound aside from the hissing rain was the soft whisper of the wind.
A whisper which grew into a howling shriek as the fog grew thicker, and it arrived.
Of course it would be a dragon. In stories it was always a dragon of some sort, wasn't it? This particular dragon is large and gray like the fog surrounding Misama Village. The rain doesn't seem to fall on it. Rather it falls in an area around it, as if it warded off the rain through the sheer force of its will.
The dragon throws back its head and unleashes a roar loud enough to stop the rain for one, two, heartbeats. The roar fades, and the rain resumes with a greater vengeance. You will not be able to complete this quest while this encounter is active. Especially since it just now scared off all the minipets you were supposed to have wrangled.

Kushala Daora has arrived in your thread! While Kushala is here, you cannot complete your quest. Besides dealing auto damage, Kushala will also affect your Miasma meter. Please see the main event info thread for more information on Miasma and its effects.
Ending the Encounter:
- When Kushala's HP drops to 250/300 HP, he will flee and take his rain with him. Please quote Marushii to receive your loot!
- If someone hits Apex, Kushala will flee. You will not get loot.
- If there are 5 or more players in the thread, Kushala will flee. Kushala can only be fought with 4 or less players.
- Fears cannot be used.
- You can always abandon the quest and [ Exit ] if you do not want to fight Kushala. You will not get loot.
- Loot will not always be dependent on whether you can defeat/repel Kushala. Said loot may be rewarded for outstanding attempts, RP posts, or for good sportsmanship.
- Once Kushala has been defeated/repelled, you may continue your quest.
Puella could complain all she wanted about not liking the idea of fighting more of those giant minipets. The thing was...when she came upon one, she got excited. Easily scared? Yes. Physically weak? Certainly. But though she didn't like to think about it, Puella was also easily tempted by adventure. Brash. Perhaps not brave - but foolish, and a little too excited by the thought of potential glory.
That was why she'd come to Amityville in the first place, right? To set herself apart from her sisters?
Admittedly when the downpour started rolling in, Puella didn't think much of it. It'd looked pretty stormy already, and in all honesty she was looking toward the apex minipets consideringly. Which might she be able to possibly loop her arms around? They were all pretty big...
She had to notice when they all scattered in fright, though, and she turned to see the giant black dragon behind her, and her eyes grew as wide as saucers in her shock.
Still, though, it didn't prevent her from stupidly darting forward into the danger - and getting thrown back mightily.

She wasn't that dumb, though. It was best to strike while the dragon still didn't expect it, right? Closing her eyes for a scant second, Puella concentrated. How could she best contribute her abilities? She darted in toward the dragon again and punched as hard as she could with her tiny little fists, feeling its scales buckle slightly under her.
Good? Good, she thought in satisfaction. Because it was about as good as she'd be able to get. Then the dragon's large foot swept her off her feet and onto the ground. "TK!" she screamed immediately, already pretty comfortable making demands on him. "Help me!" She eyed Verusha and Cannon nervously. "Uh...um, you two too!"
She certainly needed it, she thought, pulling herself back up again. This thing was so big.
