Miasma Village: once an epicenter for tourism in the great northern wilder-wilderness of Halloween, it has disappeared off the map in the last ten years.
Quite literally.
Rumours are that it has something to do with a secret lab facility creating artificial monsters, monsters cultivated in a sterile facility for classified reasons. This project was originally funded on the hope that the high Insanity environment surrounding Miasma Village would protect them from any intruders who wished to get their hands on any sensitive material, but it seems something has gone a little wrong.
There have been reports of things, not quite monster, not quite Fear, emerging from the village, and reports of something a little more terrifying: an Insanity affliction that spreads from host to host like a virus.
Of course, that is just a rumour. There is no way something so terrifying would be allowed on Halloween... right?

gaia_star This is a week long event that will involve obtaining free event tickets for the free event raffle! in celebration of our shop five year anniversary! This shop has been around for half a decade!
gaia_starNew to this shop? Read the shop info HERE!
gaia_star As a special one time event, if you win, you MAY gift your win to a friend. The requirement is that the friend must have two or less characters in their first stage of art (Y1 students/ Starting Horsemen/ Trainee Hunters). If you are planning to keep the character yourself, there is no limitation to entering, as long as you are not maxed out (8 characters) OR are already on free character 2 month cooldown (2 months since you originally won another FREE character).
gaia_star Tickets will be obtained by rping in the events listed below.
- Students entering this event will be considered students who took the bus for any IC reason you want to give them. Keep in mind that they're entering town on a public transportation bus, not a school bus. Miasma tolerance: Low
- Guest characters (aka quest characters) entering this event must have at least ONE post of genuine feedback in their thread. This feedback must be from another person and contain something constructive; "cool quest bro" won't cut it. Once your quest has feedback of some sort, that character may be entered into the event. Guest characters are simply characters that are not in Amityville yet, but enjoy the rich life of Halloween around them (staying at home, volunteering, wandering, etc etc). Please note that there is a limit of one quest character per person, so choose wisely! In terms of how they arrived, they too took public transportation. Miasma tolerance: Very Low Dice mechanics: Roll 2d6-6 to attack, and all quests have 30 HP. When their HP hit 0, they cannot continue RPing/posting in that thread. At 0 HP you can make a death post, then you will need to join a different RP thread. For more information on our combat system, please see our core combat guide.
- Horsemen are just horsemen visiting Halloween for whatever many reasons (supply runs, entertainment, etc etc) who have accidentally took the wrong route home. Miasma tolerance: High
- Citizens must be requested here. If approved they can have gotten on the bus for a number of reasons (up to you). Miasma tolerance: Medium
- Hunters in golems. Unlike all of the above, Hunters with golems cannot be affected by Insanity or gain it as an effect later. They must be intermediate Hunter or higher to get long-term golem permission. The reason they are here is mission research/recon. Miasma tolerance: N/A Dice mechanics: Roll 2d6-6 to attack and all golem Hunters have 30 HP. If they reach 0 HP they will be considered OUT of the RP, permanently. When this happens, you may write a death solo.
gaia_star You may participate with UP TO three characters. Only one of the three can be a Hunter, or a guest character. Guest characters are limited to one guest/quest character per person.
gaia_star At the last days of the event, there will be a puzzle to solve regarding the village that will last 48 hours. All participants who solve the end puzzle will obtain a massive amount of tickets (including those who tried each stage of it).
gaia_star At the end of the event, if Miasma Village is solved, the town will be considered "unlocked" and be a wonderful tourist attraction for all to visit, have a vacation at, buy a town villa, or even just have a good time. Everyone who participates will also receive a small amount of RP points and possibly gain an unhealthy exposure to Insanity (at the player's voluntary OOC choice for that character to be infected).
gaia_star A couple of premades will be open for the raffle. The more quests that are filled as a group effort on the board, the more creatures will be unlocked for the raffle. Good luck all!
GETTING STARTED:
gaia_crown[ Step 0 ]: [ RP Etiquette and formatting ]
Before your get started rping, please follow the rp etiquette of the shop. When speaking to players or addressing them, please quote them. When you are leaving a thread, type [ EXIT ] at the top of your post so people know. When making a post, please make sure to copy and paste this OOC format for you to use for your character. Save a version of this OOC format handy for yourself, so you can keep tabs on all mechanics!

gaia_crown[ Step 1 ]: [ GM ORP arrival ]
Get started by dropping off your character in the GM ORP! Read the IC prompt, and then the OOC below it. Make sure when posting to use the code given above (save it somewhere handy!). This is just an introduction thread, where your character arrives, and can interact with other characters or get used to the environment. Once you are ready to move on, you can explore by using any of QUEST PROMPTS below and/or create prps/solos/orps! Please familiarize yourself with the setting in the GM ORP prompt.
gaia_crown[ Step 2: ][ Writing a QUEST PROMPT RP ]
- Select any prompt given in the QUEST PROMPT post below. You will follow the instructions for mechanics while giving your own spin on the story ICly.
- Create a thread called [QUEST NUMBER HERE][ QP ][ CHAR NAMES HERE] in this event thread, and quote all characters involved in the first post.
- Prompts could range from fighting creatures to simply browsing around. You may also acquire actual clue items ICly from these prompts that may be used later to unlock hidden areas!
- If you are the first party to successfully complete the quest AND write over 600 words, then please drop off your completion in this thread by using this form. The quest will be considered "unlocked". At certain unlock points (5, 10, 15 quests completed cumulatively), more FREE prizes for the raffle will be revealed! Please only have ONE person in your party post it, because we don't need overlaps!
:!: I HAVE COMPLETED A QUEST:!: Quest number: LINK TO PROOF:
- Even if a quest is completed by another group as "first completed" you may still participate in that quest as many times as you like. Sometimes it takes multiple times to figure out something!
- You can solo/group/orp any quest involved. If a quest is an ORP type in QORP instead of QP in the title. This means anyone can join, as many as you'd like really, as long as it is not completed!
- You get two raffle tickets for completing each UNIQUE quest as well as two rp points as long as you post over 600 words as well for yourself. You are responsible for keeping track of this!
gaia_star[ Step 2b: ] [ Engaging in a NON QUEST PRP/ORP/SOLO ]
- Of course, you can PRP with whomever you want as long as they have posted in the GM ORP as well. After you have [EXITED] the GM ORP you may interact with any players and explore the town without engaging in quests.
- Please refer to the GM ORP OOC POST for IC information on the town, and places you can explore. When you have personally written over 600 words in that prp/solo/orp, you may collect +2 rp points and a raffle ticket. Make sure to link your RP when you enter the raffle.
- All rps of this nature should be posted in this event subforum. They will be moved later to the main thread for you to remember!
- Make sure the setting is in the town when doing the RP. This is a great time for you to introduce yourself to other characters and speak of what is going on. In case a battle breaks out, regular dice mechanics apply (Hunter golems and quest characters have 2d6-6 dice and 30 HP).
- When you complete a QUEST PROMPT and posted over 600 words you gain +2 tickets. It is up to you to track your wins, and you must redeem the tickets yourself in the raffle thread.
- When you complete a PRP/ORP/RP with the setting as this event and posted over 600 words you gain +1 tickets. It is up to you to track your wins, and you must redeem the tickets yourself in the raffle thread.
You may obtain up to 10 tickets max a day. You may only claim tickets with one character. For instance, let's say I'm RPing my Kindred Hunter and Doodle. I can only claim tickets with my Kindred Hunter, or with Doodle; not both!
gaia_star[ Step 4:] [ Claiming RP points: ]
- Once again, as long as it is an rp related to the event, it is +2 rp points for any rps written over 600 words with this setting with your characters. Simply add it to your log as you see fit. You can accumulate a max of 20 rp points from this event this way.
- Please note that guest characters are ineligible for RP points.
gaia_star[ Step 6:] Check GM announcements! An announcement thread will be set up. Check on there for updates. The GM announcements thread will also post when large scale GM ORPS are happening related to the event! You will get additional special prompts and tickets there (optional, but fun!)

MIASMA METER
Occasionally, in RPS, you will notice it will ask for you to add a certain amount of Miasma to your Miasma meter. The more miasma your character accumulates the stranger IC effects will happen to them. You will be expected to RP it out at your discretion. The rate you accumulate Miasma is dependent on the faction of your character:
gaia_star Students: Every time you gain Miasma, multiply it by x2. So, in a prompt if you gain +2 miasma, it is actually +4 for you.
gaia_star Quest characters: Every time you gain Miasma, multiply it by x3. So, in a prompt if you gain +2 miasma, it is actually +6 for you.
gaia_star Horsemen Every time you gain Miasma, multiply it by x.5. So, in a prompt if you gain +2 miasma, it is actually +1 for you. Round up.
gaia_star Citizens: Every time you gain Miasma, multiply it by x1. So, in a prompt if you gain +2 miasma, it is actually +2 for you.
gaia_star Hunters in golems: N/A
MIASMA EFFECTS
Having too much miasma WILL effect your character! RP this accordingly. Miasma is cumulative, meaning whatever you gain will be a permanent gain throughout this event. Sometimes, Miasma gains are GM announcements as well, so make sure to always check the GM ANNOUNCEMENT THREAD
gaia_star 0-30 Miasma: Your character is okay. Nothing abnormal here.
gaia_star 31-60 Miasma: Your character is affected with a light case of Miasma. They may seem a little more paranoid and aggressive. Occasionally they hear whispers that may not be there.
gaia_star 61-80 Miasma: (Frenzy mode): Your character is completely saturated in Miasma, and have taken an odd purple tinge around them that surrounds them like thick smoke. Their eyes have turned completely black, with hints of glowing purple. They become more hostile and paranoid. Their actions are sometimes, almost spontaneous. Sometimes, they see things that do not exist (make believe people, objects, characters, etc) and have very engaged conversations with them.
gaia_star 91-100 Miasma: (Apex mode): Your character passes out the minute they hit that threshold of miasma. When they wake up, it seems the miasma itself has developed a personality of their own around them. They are extremely volatile and seem to flip-flip between multiple personas. They refer to themselves as "we". Occasionally, they have moments of clarity, but being exposed to others with high levels of miasma will cause them to revert back to being absolutely insane. Their dice roll is automatically 2d12-6 with 60 HP. KOing a character in apex mode (your choice of PRP/orp battles) will revert them back to regular sanity again (0 miasma).
OBTAINED ITEMS
Occasionally, in QUEST PROMPTS or GM ORPS you may gain QUEST ITEMS. These items are specifically called QUEST ITEMS. Log them in your OOC. At the very end of the event, there may be some use for characters with these items. In addition, certain quest prompts can ONLY be engaged with characters with specific items.
- For quest prompts with requirements, only one character in that rp must have that item. This goes for the puzzle format gm orp at the end too.

LIST OF QUEST PROMPTS:
Quest Prompts work in the form of village activity. The villagers do not like outsiders, and the ambient miasma has made them extremely unfriendly and paranoid. The goal is for characters to engage in quest prompts to gain the trust of the villagers and ultimately find a way out out of the miasma.
More quests may be added as the week goes by!
The friendlier the villagers feel towards your characters, the more villagers (aka: premade raffle students) will be unveiled!
Village friendliness
CURRENT VILLAGER LEVEL: FRIENDLY
LIST OF QUESTS
gaia_star[ Quest 1: ] Interview two villagers. (Click spoiler for mechanics) ** QUEST UNLOCKED **
Your character(s) must interview two villagers. Villagers are all cloaked for some reason. Villagers may get disinterested when you ask too many questions, your goal is to acquire as much IC information as possible. Maybe they hold the key in your leaving.
Roll 1d10 and match your dice roll to the result below. That is the response they give you to your question. Your character can ask any question they formulate with the response always being the result below. If you roll the same number, you get the same response.
1. The villager glowers at you but does not reply to your question 2. The villager seems busy chopping firewood and is fastidiously ignoring you 3. The villager turns to look at you. They wave... at someone past you. 4. The villager is fishing. They reel in an invisible fish.. or is it just nothing. 5. The villager responds with a hearty grunt. 6. The villager looks you straight in the eye. "No." 7. The villager seems glum beyond their cloak. They mutter a few words involving the terms 'despair' and 'death'. 8. The villager is too busy looking at their toes. 9. The villager is cooking roast ghost fish, it smells delicious. They take out a skewer, offer you it, and then eat it before you can accept. 10. The villager seems passed out. Maybe you should leave them alone...
gaia_star[ Quest 2: ] Steak your grounds (Click spoiler for mechanics) ** QUEST UNLOCKED **
The village is running low on food and it is up to you to find some steaks and cook them for the village. You are granted exactly one portable spit though you will have to do the hunting yourself.
Right in the outskirts of the village are EVIL HAND TURKEYS. They have 10 HP each, which your character will have to defeat in normal battle combat style (attack with the dice mechanics of your current character until it hits 0 HP). They do -2 auto damage to you every time you hit it. When you have defeated a turkey, you can carve from it, a turkey steak.
Roll 1d10 to cook your steak. If you roll 1-5 your steak is raw, if you roll 6-8 your steak is perfect, if you roll 9-10 you steak is unedible. Only RAW and perfect steaks are allowed.
gaia_star If you acquire a perfect steak, it is considered a quest item. Add it to your quest item list.
gaia_star[Quest 3: ] Stop the sand whale! (Click spoiler for mechanics) ** QUEST UNLOCKED **
A sand whale has been spotted nearing the village sand harbour!. These creatures are extremely unfriendly and have been known to swallow entire buildings. Ring the gong, fire bombs, throw ballistas, do what you can to stop the sand whale!
- The sand whale has 200/200 HP. When it hits 150 HP it will leave and swim away.
- At the start of the battle roll 1d6. This is the amount of ballista shots your character gets. Every time you use a ballista shot, you do a perfect 10 HP damage.
- The sand whale does an automatic -1 damage to you every time you attack the sand whale.
- If you run out of ballista shots, roll 1d6 again to gather more. However, each time you gather more the sand whale hits you for -5 damage!
gaia_star If you thwart the sand whale it drops a whale fin, it is considered a quest item. Add it to your quest item list
gaia_star[ Quest 4: ] Eggstraction: the beginning (Click spoiler for mechanics) ** QUEST UNLOCKED **
- It seems as if the villagers now want you to collect some eggs. Some untainted, un-miasma fused precious wyvern eggs from an exotic wyvern couple that sadly passed away. You must scale a very high mountain in order to get these eggs.
- Your character is dropped off at the base of the mountain. The goal is to climb the mountain and get the egg. To scale the mountain, you must write a jaunty 250 word post of your character scaling the mountain. You can do this as you please, there are plenty of angry nesting minipets, boulders, and possibly giant serpents blocking your way. As you reach the top, obtain the egg, and you are ready to begin your descent.
- Every single creature possible, especially rolling sand lobsters, will try to destroy your egg. Roll 1d4 four times and match your dice roll to the prompt below to reach the bottom of the mountain. Yes, repeats do happen if you roll a repeat. Your egg has 10 HP. If you make it down without the egg reaching 0 HP (breaking) you made it!
1) A sand lobster rolls right into your egg and nearly breaks it! -2 HP 2) Strange velociraptor minipets are hungrily staring at your egg. They try to attack it! -1 HP 3) A giant snake smacks you with its giant tail. Ouch! -3 HP 4) Nothing happens. You were lucky!
gaia_star If you successfully get an egg to safety, you get herbivore egg. It is considered a quest item. Add it to your quest item list
Powderstones are notorious for being extremely heavy and unwieldy to carry. A villager has requested this, can you really deny their offer?
- Your character must head into the darkest, deepest volcano interior. Magma oozes at every precipice of this dangerous area. In the smallest, floating island of non-magma touched sediment is a beautiful powderstone. It is about 6 feet tall and extremely hot. It is very difficult to carry it, let alone breathe in here.
- Your character must carry the powderstone out of the lava. Roll 1d4 three times. That is the distance (feet) you carry the powderstone.
- You must reach a distance of 30 feet to get the powderstone out. If you fail, the powderstone drops at the distance you left it at (on your third dice roll). Only other characters can help you now, by coming into the thread, and picking up the rolls. The SAME characters cannot repeat the same thread. You are free even if you carried a stone in a seperate thread, to help out in a new thread!
- Example: Steve starts, and carries the stone. He rolls 3d4 and gets 6. He carried the stone 6 feet. He now cannot post in the thread anymore and exits before he passes out. Jim can now come in to this RP (as long as they are either invited (QUEST PRP) or just hop in (QUEST ORP). Jim rolls 3d4 and gets 3. The rock is now at 9/30 feet carried. Once again, this quest is not successful until the rock has been FULLY carried 30/30 feet. If it is successful, everyone in the thread gets the +2 raffle tickets.
gaia_star If you are the person who carries the rock to 30/30 feet, you get a powderstone. it is considered a quest item. Add it to your quest item list
A villager has left a tip about some form of virus happening to the local minipet wildlife. It is up to you to check it out!
Your character must catch one of the local minipets wandering around. Roll 1d10 and see what phrase you get from the list. Then use the minisglossary to pick a pet with that phrase in it (do not pick SE pets or RE ones!)
1. Tropical 2. Sweet 3. Black 4. White 5. Spooky 6. Cheese 7. Onion 8. War 9. Wish 10. Eyeball
Once they have caught one, they need to carefully examine it to make sure it has no signs of the virus (the symptoms are possibly purple, evil looking, very vicious) then they can let it go. If however, it is purple or shows possible signs of the virus, they should hand it in to the villager. Roll 1d4 to see what the villager gives you for your time.
1. You get nothing. They take the pet and go away. 2. You get a halfhearted thumbs up. 3. The pet bites you as you near away from it! Ouch! Add +2 to your miasma meter. 4. The villager looks at you. He says "they key to the door is 8888." He leaves.
The local dragonseer (that's a fancy word for someone who rides on a balloon and stares at the fog from above) wants your help in locating potential signs of danger and sand whales. You are to ride the balloon up and take a look.
You must first assemble the balloon. Pick any two items from the list below to make the basket of your balloon out of. Rp accordingly:
- Snake leather - Thick rope - Flaming carpet - A basket of foxfires - A white cloth - Carved sand whale bone - A net - A table - A door - Five golden rings - A pine tree - A trash can - A really really really really big bottle
- Next, to ascend, roll 1d100. This is the number of feet that your balloon launches to the sky. If you roll a 1.. you kind of suck. Maybe you're really bad with balloons. Maybe youre too heavy. Maybe your buddy should get off. Who knows.
If your character is lucky and manages to roll above 50 feet, they will get to see the town below them. You notice that the town is shaped like an S. You can also see clearly the town below you.
If your character rolls above 80 feet, you end up going too high into the highest miasma clouds. The thin air makes exposure to miasma easily and you gain +5 miasma.
As long as you roll over 50 feet you succeed in this venture.
gaia_star[ Quest 8: ] Eggstraction: It Returns! (Click spoiler for mechanics) ** QUEST UNLOCKED ** Requirement: One person in the party must have a herbivore egg.
- It seems as if the villagers now want you to collect some more eggs. Those eggs are really delicious you know, and surprisingly enough, get you into the good graces of the villagers quite fast.
- Your character is dropped off at the base of an even taller mountain The goal is to climb the mountain and get the egg. RP climbing it appropriately
- As you near the egg, whatever is following you will try to eat it. Roll 1d6 to see what it is.
1. A sand crab minipet 2. A 100 foot giant snake 3. A baby wyvern 4. A zombie deer minipet 5. A sand whale (estimated 400 feet) 6. A rolling sand lobster minipet
If by any chance a sand whale is the culprit, it automatically eats the egg and you have to try again. Otherwise, rp gathering the egg.
- Now you must carry the egg down the cliffside of the mountain. Roll 1d6 again and see what is trying to push you off the cliff aggressively.
1. A sand crab minipet 2. A 100 foot giant snake 3. A baby wyvern 4. A zombie deer minipet 5. A sand whale (estimated 400 feet) 6. A rolling sand lobster minipet
If the result is a sand lobster, you drop the egg, and have to try again.
- You finally pass the cliffs into the forest region of the mountain. Roll 1d5 to see what tries to block your way.
1. A sand crab minipet 2. A 100 foot giant snake 3. A baby wyvern 4. A zombie deer minipet 5. A sand whale (estimated 400 feet) 6. A rolling sand lobster minipet
If the result is a 100 foot giant snake, it squishes you and you have to try again.
Finally, you make you way past all of that and you get to the base camp. Oh wait, something is waiting for you at base camp! Roll 1d6 again:
1. A sand crab minipet 2. A 100 foot giant snake 3. A baby wyvern 4. A zombie deer minipet 5. A sand whale (estimated 400 feet) 6. A rolling sand lobster minipet
If a baby wyvern shows up, very mean adult wyverns land, reprimand you, and then extract the egg from you before flying away. You don't get an egg. Otherwise, success!
gaia_star If you successfully get an egg to safety, you get wyvern egg. It is considered a quest item. Add it to your quest item list
gaia_star [ Quest 9: ]Naked and Afraid (Click spoiler for mechanics) ** QUEST UNLOCKED **
Your character has been requested by a villager to kill an oversized, angry insanity-fused basilisk minipet. For some reason, they also want you to do this without your clothes.
You are given a towel to wear, and must go out and destroy the basilisk. The basilisk has 30 HP. You have 30 HP and regular dice mechanics*, because somehow not having your clothes has made you weaker. The basilisk does -3 damage every time you hit it. *By "regular dice mechanics," please use the dice equivalent to your student's level. If your character is a Y1 student or a guest, please use 2d6-6. If your character is Y2, use 2d8-6, etc.
- If you roll double dice at any point of this fight, your towel comes off, and you end up accidentally flashing everyone! You must leave the thread (battle) in embarrassment (your character cannot fight any more, though others can succeed you.
gaia_star If you and your team successfully defeat it, you get a basilisk eye. It is considered a quest item. Add it to your quest item list
Your character has been invited by a villager to harvest on top of the remote glacier infringing on the northern outskirts of the village. What an honour!
- The walk is very steep and treacherous. You are allowed to harvest as much as you'd like until you slip and fall down the glacier all the way back to town (must remake thread). This quest is only considered completed if you get the rare machalite ore.
Roll 1d6 and continue rolling until you slip and fall back to town OR get the machalite ore. Really, whatever comes first. Make sure to rp it out.
1. You spot some beautiful crystal fragments. You manage to get the machalite ore! 2. You get distracted by a pile of bones and gather some bone fragments that are ultimately useless because you're not a gunner 3. You get distracted by some honey. It is delicious. 4. You get distracted by a pile of herbs. You pick some herbs and ask the villager what they are. He says "herbs". They are barely edible. 5. You accidentally slip and fall back to town! Oh no! (Quest fail!) 6. You find a great spot to fish but you didn't bring your fishing rod.
gaia_star [ Quest 11: ] The Fisher King (Click spoiler for mechanics) ** QUEST UNLOCKED ** Requirement: One person in the party must have a fishing rod made of whale fin.
You must have a fishing rod base made of whale fin first to start. Anyone without a whale fin cannot actually fish, though they can cheer the others on.
Next, select a bait. Your goal is to catch as many fish as possible, as fish oil is valuable in village things, says the villager. He hands you a tin, and you randomly get a bait. Roll 1d6 to see what you get
1. You get nothing.. 2. You get the ear of a minipet 3. You get a ball of tiny spiders. 4. You get a giant spider. Seriously, this thing is huge. Like six feet huge. How did it even fit in there? 5. You get a decent sized worm. 6. You get the tail of a minipet
Now, with the bait, roll 1d100 to see how well you do. Make sure to rp accordingly with using the bait/tackling it/ figuring how to make it work. As long as you fish 11 or higher, your quest is a success. Otherwise, try again!
1-10: You fish up nothing.. 11- 30: You fish up an invisible sardine. Or wait, is it a real one? You can't tell. 31- 50: You fish up a decent sized bonefish. It is made of literal bones, how are they going to eat this? 51 - 80. You fish up a giant spider fish. It looks more spider than fish, and is about six feet tall. 81 - 100: You fish up a beautiful premium gourmet finfish. It's tail fetches a good price in the local village market and you are rewarded handsomely.
gaia_star If you and your team successfully defeat it, you get paid a rusted key. It is considered a quest item. Add it to your quest item list
gaia_star [ Quest 12: ] Mistentoe Mishaps ** NEW **
A local villager wants you to fetch some mistentoe for him, but he's very picky on the type of mistentoe he wants. You must track down the perfect mistentoe, a stack of it, and return it to him! He'll reward you for your time.
There are four zones in the canyon labelled zones 1, 2, 3 and 4. You can move to one zone at a time by simply stating what zone you are. Every time you move, you get to roll a 1d6 dice. Keep on moving around the zones until you finally find the right one. RP out effects accordingly.
1. You see what looks like a mistentoe herb, and by obligation of request, taste it. It tastes bitter! As you debate life, you suddenly shrink to only three inches tall. Oh no! (You can not change zones unless someone else quotes and carries you around for the rest of the quest) 2. You see what looks like a mistentoe herb, and by obligation of request, taste it. You feel pretty okay, that is, until you start talking. Everything comes out in haiku. Your character must talk that way until the quest is finished/ they leave. 3. You see what looks like a mistentoe herb, and by obligation of request, taste it. You begin to float, as if weightless. Oh no! You're going to float away! You must tether yourself to the ground. (You can not change zones unless someone else quotes and carries you around for the rest of the quest) 4.You see what looks like a mistentoe herb, and by obligation of request, taste it. It looks really unsafe and you don't feel so good... Add +5 to your miasma meter. 5. You see what looks like a mistentoe herb, and by obligation of request, taste it. You SUDDENLY FEEL LIKE YOU ARE EMBUED WITH THE POWER OF TEN THOUSAND WARRIORS! YOU COULD DEFEAT ANYTHING WITH A SINGLE PUNCH BECAUSE YOU ARE RIPPED! (this is only a mental feeling it actually doesn't increase strength). 6. You see what looks like a mistentoe herb, and by obligation of request, taste it. This is the right one! You thankfully take it home (QUEST COMPLETE)
gaia_star If you and your team successfully deliver it, you get paid an old herb remedy. It is considered a quest item. Add it to your quest item list
gaia_star [ Quest 13: ] Apex Pet Wrangling ** NEW **
There's word here of some oversized minipets that need your help wrangling them to the stables. It's up to you to try your best! If you get a few back in, you might even be rewarded for your time!
Step 1: Go out and find the pet. Out in the wide open fog, where there is only fog and then fog, there are sometimes the shapes of minipets. Roll 1d6 to see what you have to wrangle. All apex pets are 6 feet in height.
1. A basilisk - 1d6 2. A goat - 1d8 3. A wolf - 1d10 4. A spider -1d6 5. A tiger - 1d8 6. Turtle - 1d4
The pet must be carried 30 feet. You must INDIVIDUALLY ROLL seperate dice rolls as you goad the pet by dragging it along its reins. The dice you roll for it is the distance it travels. For example, if you roll a goat, you get to roll separate dice rolls of 1d8 until you cumulatively get 30 feet.
If you roll a 1 at any point the pet will run away! The only way to get it back is if you have the basilisk eye item, that will lock it into place.
gaia_star If you and your team successfully defeat it, you get paid a old saddle. It is considered a quest item. Add it to your quest item list
gaia_star [ Quest 14: ] Into the Mist ** NEW **
Warning! There's a very dangerous Apex Minipet out there, and it loves stealing things! Try to wrangle it and you may win it's heart, but it will also steal your items beware!
- You MUST have items in your item inventory that you have obtained. Please be aware by engaging in this quest these items WILL possibly get removed PERMANENTLY. If you lose an item, don't worry, you can do an older quest again to get that item back! If the minipet eats your item, it is PERMANENTLY GONE from your inventory until you get it back ICly via doing the original quest RP to get that item again.
- Remember that items CANNOT BE OBTAINED TWICE. That means you cannot sacrifice a spare of a rusted key for example, you can only carry ONE of each quest item.
- The creature in question hides in the fog. It is very hard to see it! All you see are a pair of eyes looking at you, and the shadow of a shape that is nearly 15 feet tall! Use your regular attack dice to attack the creature. It has 100 HP. The creature does 5 auto damage a hit! No Fear/charged attacks are allowed.
- Every time you roll double dice (ie 1,1) an item will be stolen from you. You can pick which one you wish to sacrifice. You MUST sacrifice an item you own from your list. It cannot be a double of an item you own (ie: you can't have two rusted keys and sacrifice one of them). That item is permanently gone. You must delete it off your item inventory and you no longer own it.
- If you roll a double dice and you have NO items to sacrifice it is an AUTO KO for you (you are defeated in battle).
- If you are one of the first FIVE that manage to defeat this creature AND you have contributed at least 600 words/ 3 battle posts in that thread, you may also post a redeem for this unique creature by dropping it off in this thread as proof!
Rarity: Rare Size: 15 feet long/10 feet tall Weight capacity: 1 person only Special ability: Can temporarily turn invisible, and that includes you riding on it. This will elude you from detection from anyone who is NOT in their final stage of growth. The invisibility only lasts as long as you are mounted on it, unfortunately being invisible does not mean it doesn't make noise/sound/ cannot fit in small doors. Flying: Yes Teleportation: Can teleport to and from Miasma village and Halloween Town only. Temper: Fickle. Likes to eat everything it sees by absorbing it with its long tongue.
gaia_star [ Quest 15: ] EGGSTRATION: THE FINALE ** NEW ** Requirement: Every person in the party attempting this must have a wyvern egg.
Are you ready for chaos? Mayhem? No? WELL GOOD. It is time for the FINAL TEST OF YOUR PROOF AS A VILLAGER EGGSTRACTOR.
- On top of the highest hill through the highest mountain peak is the rarest of eggs, the Giant Snake egg. If you bring this home, then you have proven your worth as the greatest eggstractor of them all.
Step 1: Climb the mountain - You're already used to this part. Get going! Climb up that mountain and see what you're made of. Oh wait, right, we forgot to mention. The reason why you need a wyvern egg is you have to replace that egg with the Giant Snake Egg you need to get. That way the parent giant snake doesn't notice!
- As you climb the mountain, roll 1d4. Match your dice roll to the result below.
1: You break your wyvern egg! Sorry, you have to obtain another one.. 2. You manage to climb with relative ease. Something watches you in the distance. 3. You trip and stumble but save your egg! -10 HP for your character 4. You accidentally stumble into a giant cloud of miasma! Add +5 to your miasma meter.
Step 2: Replacing the egg
Finally you reach the base of the mountain with a [i 400 foot giant snake guarding its pile of eggs in the center. You must slowly sneak and take the Giant Snake egg, replacing it with the wyvern one. Roll 1d100 to see how quiet you were. If you roll 30 or less, you get eaten. You die and dissipate back to base camp. The good news is you still have your wyvern egg (must start quest again). Otherwise, continue onwards.
Step 3: New egg friend and you
At this point you no longer have your wyvern egg. You only have this Giant Snake Egg. So that means if you destroy your giant snake egg on the way back, you have to obtain a new wyvern egg from the previous eggstraction quest. The giant snake egg has 10 HP.
A pair of very hungry velicoraptor-like creatures seem to have found you and follow the egg hungrily! They have 10 HP. You only need to defeat one to move on (per group!) Every time you or ANYONE in the group rolls double dice (1, 1, 2, 2, etc) you take -2 damage to your egg, otherwise it takes no damage.
At the very end where the base camp is, there is a giant waterfall. You have no choice, you have to jump down! Roll 1d6 to see how much damage your egg takes. Good luck!
If your egg somehow survives, you have DONE IT. Go ahead and collect your prize and drop it off in this thread!
Rarity: Rare Size: 25 feet long (baby snek!) Weight capacity: 2 people max. (No mount/natural forms it gets skittish) Special ability: Is excellent at making impromptu bridges and shelter from cold areas. Sheds rainbow-coloured skin that can be used as waterproof wear. Has impeccable memory - as long as it has been to a place, it knows how to get there. Flying: Cannot fly. Teleportation: Teleports from Miasma Village to Halloween Town only (and vice versa) Temper: Extremely shy. Does not go indoors. Only likes large areas. Will escape through any given opening if the area is smaller than it is.
