A local villager wants you to fetch some mistentoe for him, but he's very picky on the type of mistentoe he wants. You must track down the perfect mistentoe, a stack of it, and return it to him! He'll reward you for your time.
There are four zones in the canyon labelled zones 1, 2, 3 and 4. You can move to one zone at a time by simply stating what zone you are. Every time you move, you get to roll a 1d6 dice. Keep on moving around the zones until you finally find the right one. RP out effects accordingly.
1. You see what looks like a mistentoe herb, and by obligation of request, taste it. It tastes bitter! As you debate life, you suddenly shrink to only three inches tall. Oh no! (You can not change zones unless someone else quotes and carries you around for the rest of the quest) 2. You see what looks like a mistentoe herb, and by obligation of request, taste it. You feel pretty okay, that is, until you start talking. Everything comes out in haiku. Your character must talk that way until the quest is finished/ they leave. 3. You see what looks like a mistentoe herb, and by obligation of request, taste it. You begin to float, as if weightless. Oh no! You're going to float away! You must tether yourself to the ground. (You can not change zones unless someone else quotes and carries you around for the rest of the quest) 4.You see what looks like a mistentoe herb, and by obligation of request, taste it. It looks really unsafe and you don't feel so good... Add +5 to your miasma meter. 5. You see what looks like a mistentoe herb, and by obligation of request, taste it. You SUDDENLY FEEL LIKE YOU ARE EMBUED WITH THE POWER OF TEN THOUSAND WARRIORS! YOU COULD DEFEAT ANYTHING WITH A SINGLE PUNCH BECAUSE YOU ARE RIPPED! (this is only a mental feeling it actually doesn't increase strength). 6. You see what looks like a mistentoe herb, and by obligation of request, taste it. This is the right one! You thankfully take it home (QUEST COMPLETE)

Silannas was a little more than bummed that she hadn't been able to save her poor snake egg from those vicious little monsters.
But that was nature, she supposed. They needed to eat too...
But this task she was given was a little more her style. Being asked to collect some specific herb for the village wasn't too bad. It was what she did for her own recipes and it wasn't too bad of an idea to get to know the herbs of the area.
They had instructed her on four separate areas that she could travel through to try and locate the herb they needed. Well... They hadn't stated which one would be most likely to carry the herb or which one had a better environment for it to thrive in. So the shaman headed towards zone 2.
Sil wandered around for a bit, her gaze moving from plant to plant until she thought she had seen the herb that she had been asked to gather. It looked like the description she had been given... A low hum of contemplation rumbled from her chest before she plucked the herb from the ground. She spend a few moments rubbing the plant between her thumb and middle finger for the texture. It felt rough and slightly spongy. Close to what she had been told...
The shaman decided to chance it and bit off a small portion of the plant. Augh! Such a strong bitter taste! Silannas stuck out her tongue and tried to scrap off the taste as much as she could.
Nope. That was not the taste you were hoping for. Neither were it's effects.
It wasn't a slow process as she noticed the world around her was starting to grow taller or... Rather she starting shrinking! "No! Nonononono!!" Her fingers let loose the herb and it hit the ground a moment before she had reached her final new size of three inches tall.
"Well... This is going to make things a bit more difficult."
Herb-fetching sounded a lot less strenuous than fighting things or carrying big rocks out of volcanoes. Puella grinned at the villager and saluted enthusiastically. This was something she was more than willing to do.
"Four zones, huh?" She thought of herself as a skilled navigator, although usually when she thought of navigation she didn't think about the actual wilderness. She liked urban exploration. Still, Puella was pretty sure she at least knew what mistentoe looked like, even if she didn't know what it did. She supposed she could sample everything. She started in the second zone because it was a lucky number, but when she spotted the characteristic colors of mistentoe, became far more interested in the person next to it.
"You're so tiny!" she squealed, slapping her hands against her cheek. "What's your name? I'm Puella! Do you k - oh, wait."
The other ghoul wasn't a villager. "I'm guessing that's the wrong kind of mistentoe, huh?" she asked, reaching down and picking the ghoul up. "Where do you wanna search?"

The shaman had been trying to find a way to get a better vantage point by climbing to the top of one of the plants she had just nibbled on to see if it was indeed the plant she was searching for. And it was proving far more difficult than it should have.
After sliding down for the fifth time, a voice startled her from her next attempt. A large ghoul was peering down at her.
"Yes, I am but not by my own accord. By the way, don't eat these." She patted the stem of the false mistentoe plant. "Unless you want to be my size."
The shaman waved at. "I'm Silannas." She grasped the finger as she was picked up, standing in the palm of the other's hand. "Pleasure to meet you, Puella. I wish it would be under better circumstances as this is not my normal height, I can assure you."
"Hmm... We can try the next zone. Since this one won't have the herb those villagers need." She nodded and pointed in the direction of the next path that lead off and out somewhere else. "And thank you for helping me. Walking to the next zone probably would have taken far too long." A small smile and a light pat was given to her rescuer's palm.
She was lucky when this ghoul came along. And she really did hope that this herb only lasted for so long. Sil didn't fancy staying this short forever. How was she going to function? She supposed eating would be easier... And she wouldn't have to worry about running out... No! This wasn't going to be a forever thing! She was going to get bigger at some point!

"Geez," said Puella, eyeing the mistentoe near the shaman nervously. "I'm glad you warned me! It would really suck if we were both that small." Okay, it was time to back away from that particular stack of the plant. She hoped the next little patch didn't look identical, or they were gonna have a lot of trouble!
She raised Silannas onto her shoulder so that the ghoul would have a better vantage point. "It's nice to meet you, though, Silannas! I go to Amityville Academy, and I was...you know...kind of hoping for a vacation." She winced. "I don't know how much time you've spent socializing, but the villagers keep asking me and my friend to fight giant minipets." It was a little discouraging, actually. She headed off on the path that the other ghoul had indicated, glad that at least there were paths. "I don't know a ton about mistentoe, but I sure am pleased that there's a marked way to go." She shook her head in frustration, keeping a watch on Silannas' reaction with one of her extra eyes.
"Have they made you climb any mountains yet?" she asked, sticking her tongue out as she wandered. This canyon was really steep, wasn't it? She glanced over at the edge, but thought better of running toward it when she had someone's life literally on her shoulder.
Soon they approached the border, though, and Puella bent so that Silannas would have an easier time seeing. Although Puella was pretty short in the first place, so she wasn't sure whether it mattered that much. "Hm...lemme know when you see something that could be mistentoe?" she asked, cupping her free-er hand around her eye to aid the search. It might be better if Puella tried it than if Silannas did, though, considering it'd be pretty bad if multiple bad things happened to the other ghoul.

She was just as glad. Luck for her seemed to be turning around. Slowly but surly.
After being gently placed on Puella's shoulder, Sil looked around them to see if she could see any plants from her spot while occasionally tilting her head towards her new companion. She was very different then Carlos; both in appearance and attitude. Timid but polite. Silannas liked that. Not that she didn't like Carlos. He had his charm and riddles that she loved. But Puella was pleasant company, indeed.
"I had heard of such a school. Many great things about it, actually. It is unfortunate that your vacation ended up the way it has." Sil could relate as she had hoped that this trip would have yielded more knowledge than questions.
"I had listened to much of what the villagers had told me what it looks like and such. I've done such a task as this for my daily life. Just let me get close enough to see it and I'll risk the taste-test." She smiled to the ghoul with a nod. "That much the plant could do to me now, anyways." Hopefully. Nothing was a complete guarantee with these plants or, really, anything in this area.
They both reached the next area, just has much foliage it seemed but the layout was... different. The plants were set about in a different way, almost in a precise manner. But that wasn't what they were looking for. The one thing they were looking for was... There! Silannas lightly patted her arachnid companion and pointed towards a small patch of herbs that was being shielded by a much larger plant. "That looks like it. Lemme get a better look."

"I don't want more bad things to happen to you, though!" Puella said, eyes widening. "This way we can share the burden! I-I don't wanna be completely useless." She waved her free arm about - she may have been a mere student, but all student-hood meant was that she was growing, right? "Anyway, at least I'm learning a lot from this 'vacation.' You...have to look at it in its good light, too!"
She grinned at the tiny reaper. She talked a lot like TK, but the two looked so wildly different - TK in his formal getup and stuffy suits, and Sil wild and lovely-looking. She at least looked like she knew what she was doing when it came to herbs, and Puella eagerly followed her pointing finger the moment Silannas spoke up again.
"Noooo!" said Puella, squealing. She walked closer (she didn't really want to risk running, with Silannas on her shoulder! She was pretty certain that the relative distance from the ground meant it'd be very dangerous for Silannas. She might even risk dissipation!) and pulled up a leaf. Before Silannas could do anything, she stuck it in her own mouth. And chewed.
"...is it supposed to do anything, if you remember?" she asked, after swallowing. It tasted kinda funny, but not in a bad way.

Silannas had to applaud the ghoul's selflessness but it didn't make sense for both of them to be in a situation where they couldn't help one another. "Believe me. You are not useless. You helped me along, didn't you?" And Puella was continuing to do so as they spoke.
"Now, just lower me down and I'll-"
Too late.
Silannas looked on in astonishment. She just... Stuffed the herb right into her mouth! The mini shaman blinked a few times before words could even have formed in her mind. "P-Puella! Are you ok? Please, don't do that again! I'm already burdened and it's far easier for me to eat it then someone that is in a better situation than I!"
Sil looked at the ghoul's face, eyes darting around to check for any abnormalities that would have happened to her when she first ate the false mistentoe. But.. Nothing happened. Maybe this was the right one!
"No... The effects that happened to me when I ate the plant back in the other zone was pretty immediate." The reaction had certainly not taken any time in shrinking her to her current height. "I think we found the right one."
"But next time, I'd rather you didn't make such rash decisions, Puella." She gently patted the shoulder she was still perched upon with a concerned looked across her face.

Puella stuck her tongue out rather immaturely at Silannas. Some might call her a glory hound, but so what? She liked the slight idea of the thrill...and apparently nothing had happened? That was great!
But she hadn't expected the reaper to worry over her. Puella turned multiple wide eyes on the other ghoul, her mouth formed into a shapely 'o' at the thought. She wasn't really used to creeple worrying over her. TK certainly didn't do much of it, and her 'sisters' were generally concerned with finding their own prey. They were all older than her, so it was normal for them to not worry, right?
She blushed, though, turning her head away to avoid major eye contact (it didn't really help, considering she had extra eyes, but still!). "Y-you didn't have to worry that much over me. I-I mean, I guess the worst that could happen is dissipation...right?" She scratched her way up her arm nervously. She wasn't really accustomed to this stuff! "Anyway, I guess it's time to head back to the village! It was really fun working with you!" Even though Puella had eight whole eyes, Silannas had her beat at that observation shtick by a mile!

Silannas had never had siblings. As far as she was concerned, she had been an only child to her mother and father. Father was head of their clan while her mother had been a medicine woman, teaching her what she knew to this day.
But with the lack of siblings, she had plenty of worry for others. So it didn't miff her as much as it probably would most when the ghoul stuck her tongue out at her. If anything, the tiny shaman giggled. The blush from the other didn't help either. "I believe I can worry over whoever but whether my warnings are heeded is another thing entirely."
But she could tell Puella had her own merits. A ghoul that didn't fall back on others and was a little reckless but when had Sil been cautious either?
"Agreed. The villagers will probably want their herb." A light pat of the shoulder again and they were off.
Not more than a few moments after they started walking did Silannas feel funny and jumped off of Puella's shoulder. Just in the knick of time too as she had grown back to her full height once more. She had nearly scared the other, she was sure but she smiled the best smile she could to give a bit of reassurance. At least she was back to normal.
