With her interviews to try and get some answers failing, the ghoul was feeling up for more hands on activities. Those were what she did best in, after all. She liked getting her hands dirty, schooling challenges, and testing her limits. And if she continued to show her willingness to help the villagers, that could only aid in bettering the currently impossible relationship they had at current. Right?
Thankfully, just what she was in search of was presented before her. Seeing a small group clustered together, whispering in hushed voices, though clearly worried ones, she let herself wander closer to get within earshot range. However, in doing so, one of them quickly noticed her, and hushed the others up. Straightening, the group all turned to look to the reaper, who gave them a confident, laidback grin in return. A few glared, while another shifted uncomfortably before approaching the ghoul just half a foot closer. She explained to the visitor that they were in need of some sort of eggs... that were nested high up on some massive mountain. Brow crooked with interest, Verusha nodded along to indicate her listening, grin cracking wider, "Well then. Why don't I go fetch you one of those eggs. My legs were getting pretty stiff from standing around anyway." she mused.
With a small wave, after getting instruction on where to go, the ghoul headed off with her hound.

Reaching the foot of the mountain, with assistance of the villagers who'd requested her help, Verusha took a slow look up and down the mighty building of earth. It was impressive, that was a fact. She'd never attempted mountain climbing, before. Sure tree, and building climbing, but this was a beast entirely of its very own. A great test of strength and endurance this would prove to be.
Well there was no point in dawdling. It was now or never.
As the villagers took their leave, Verusha began her climb, along with Cannon. The canine had no problem scaling the jutting rocks, and using the ledges and divots with ease. Having such small paws, and a lithe quadruped body made it a breeze to travel along the side. But he never got too far ahead, always checking back to make sure Verusha was doing alright, while keeping an eye on what was on their destined trail.
The ghoul didn't rush, or hurry, but she also didn't take her time. Since this was her first time rock climbing, she didn't want to make any slapdash decisions that might end in her tumbling down the entire mountain side... and possibly worse. Mini's were running about merrily, zipping and slithering along without problem. Most probably lived up on the bountiful rock formation. It was pretty cute seeing them frolic about, dancing on the dangerous points without care.
Along the way there were little families of critters nestled between cracks, crevices, and pockets in the rock, a few giving firm warning to the two climbers as they neared. But eventually Verusha got to the top, stretching out, her muscles a little sore from their new methods of use. But it felt good. She loved that light burn. Muscles ripping, reforming, strengthening... Approaching the egg, she carefully looked around to make sure that there weren't any opposing parties that might disturb her. With there being no opposition, she knelt down and gently gathered up the precious egg.

It was a rough time down, numerous of the creatures she'd admired going up now going after the prize she'd collected. Not to mention odd lobster beasts that were desperate to try and get their claws on it! Cannon did his best to keep at bay what he could, while Verusha tightly hugged the egg to her chest. But it wasn't entirely all safe, earning quite a few knocks and hits, the shell getting chips and dents, with a few cracks....
But somehow, they all made it down to the bottom. Panting lightly from the surprise ambush for the egg, Verusha had to catch her breath a little before heading back for the village to show them the prize.
