ALMADEL
The Mysterious Merchant

MOOD: Pleasant/Chatty
ACTION: Talking to Mlinzi/Surtur/Ymir, waving to Viatrix, sharing cheese fondue

Delta-T had very good manners, especially for a robot, and Almadel seemed to beam at the title of gentleman. Because, of course, he was. And a merchant, but without his wares there was only so much business he could plan on while he was here. He waved to Viatrix, whose enthusiasm was precious and adorable, and how could he deny Mlinzi?

“Oh, of course. Let me feed you. Have I told you how much I love Mauvians? You’re practically skin and bones.”

Almadel was generous; he picked up a small plate and filled it generously with a sample of everything before he ladeled a spoonful of cheese over it all and set it on the ground for the poor, starving Mauvian. “I wouldn’t eat any fish you find in space. Word of caution, if your stomach’s not primed for it, it’s usually a bad choice. But if you’re feeling adventurous, by all means.”

He smiled politely at the Mauvian before returning his attention to Surtur and Ymir.

“I get around,” he answered easily, with a perfect smile already in place. He helped himself to another cheesy cracker and gestured for the two to come closer. “Come, have a bite. I’ll feel bad about bringing so much if you don’t help me with it. I’m sorry to hear about Earth’s sun, it’s a tragic thing. I’m a fan of starlight, but not that much all at once. I know you, Surtur. I do not know your friend. You’re being careful, aren’t you?”

He didn’t stand up from his seat; he was comfortable where he was and his long, forked tail danced behind him. Occasionally it seemed like it was just about to dip close to the ground but it always perked back up.

“Especially here, you’ll want to keep your wits about you. It’s all so very exciting, isn’t it? Try to relax, have fun. Make the best of your time here. It’s magical, isn’t it? A breath of fresh air. It’s my first time here, I’m already having so much fun.”

Please let me know if anyone interacting with Almadel was missed!

Neryn
Vanguard Cadet

MOOD: Apprehensive
ACTION: Going to investigate the ship

Neryn nodded at Aliez, expression somber. So the commodore was dying, just like their world. It sounded more like Lyndin should have been their senshi over Caedus and they wondered if that hadn't been part of the whole issue in the first place. The starseed just couldn't decide who to go to, then when they forced it, it mangled it beyond recognition.

"I will go and investigate this ship the robots are talking about, and see if any data may be of value to us. By your leave, Corporal," they said, giving a nod to Aliez. They holstered their boltcaster and retrieved their data pad, now assured that at least there was no real danger for the moment.

Then the tall Velencian wandered off towards the ship.

Delta-T
Protector of the future (NPC)

MOOD: Gracious
ACTION: Answering Erytheia and Ash

"It's truly a wonderful place," beamed Delta-T, who had perked up pridefully at the question. Waving his hand as if painting a dramatic picture with it, he explained, "Astraya appeared to us in our time of greatest despair, to lead us to a completely new destiny. One you wonderful people have come to help us achieve! And now the hour is near for us to be uplifted!"

His voice had reached a fever pitch, and a volume loud enough for anyone nearby to hear, as he raised his hands to the air with intense passion -- and then he froze, quickly regained his composure, and said, "Please do enjoy the party in the meanwhile." in a proper indoor voice to the Cosmos Knight. Then, with a bow, he simply vanished into thin air.

A split second later he had appeared near Ash, eager to give her directions. "It's just a skip down that road, to the left there. Turn at that statue that shows a concerning degree of nudity for those with cultures that have shame about such things."

Terebellum
Deep Space Senshi of Resonance

MOOD: A little shell shocked, honestly
ACTION: Assuring Tikal and Yddagen that she's alright

The group of Chaos further ignored her as Tere tried to get a handle on her own emotions and senses. A knight had wandered over at some point but she'd sort of just... ignored her over staring at her own arms and trying to figure out what the hells happened. Had she been asleep for so long that she could not longer use her magic properly? It had never backfired like this before... that she could remember anyway. She was quickly realizing the... several centuries she'd been asleep had led incredibly large gaps in her memory.

Tere did finally look up at the woman - a page of... not a senshi she recognized and gave a little reassuring smile as another - far far taller man - showed up. One of her fluffy ears twitched at the mention of 'Astraya' but she kept her focus on the two people with her.

"I think I'm alright... I've been... asleep for a very long time, and my magic is not what it once was, it seems," she said, a thankful smile on her face. "I was not expecting the resonance amplification to bounce back; it was supposed to make them sort of sink into the floor, honestly. I will be more careful from now on."

Terebellum got to her feet with a quiet sound of her heels on the stone and bowed formally to the page and... alien? She couldn't quite recognize which world he came from.

"Terebellum, Senshi of Resonance. Please call me Tere, I know it's sort of a mouthful," said the senshi, tail curled firmly around one leg under her skirts now. No one else was going to run into that, thank you very much.

It was about that time that something headbutted her gently in the back of her knees, and she turned to stare.

"Is that... a Resonator? I thought..." she trailed off, staring at the small crystaline ram that was peering up at her.

---

Bo
Something Precise (NPC)

MOOD: Concerned about Tere
ACTION: Blinking and vibrating slightly

"My name is Bo," said the small crystaline ram that had finally come out of hiding. It was not that she did not appreciate this whole party, but Home Helper and Clarity were so loud and it made her horns ache. Having seen the teal green senshi's magic kick back - and magic that resembled how she sensed things - she felt it necessary to finally make an appearance.

It was a party after all, but if someone wasn't enjoying themselves, then it wasn't really a party. (Not that Bo knew what a party was except it involved food and music according to the other robots.) The ram shifted a little, hooves clicking on the stone, and began to vibrate. Yes! A resonant frequency that sounded like her!

Tiny plates of silver openned and closed as Bo blinked up at the organics. "You seemed to be in distress, were you trying to find a resonant frequency for the stone?" She tilted her silver head as the teal senshi - Terebellum, she remembered the senshi saying - very tentatively patted her head.

... Friender, this organic is... patting me and seems oddly familiar with me. How do I proceed? she asked Friender via the link network.

Oia
Order / Page / Cosmos

MOOD: Confused
ACTION:

Oia had been rather confused lately, finding herself in another strange location seemed to be a normal situation for her lately. She sighed and looked around she spotted the merchant she had met recently as Henny and she smiled well that was kinda reassuring. She didn't have her compass visible since that wouldn't be safe to let anyone know who she was as a civilian. She figured this couldn't be too bad if the merchant was there, but perhaps that was a foolish way to view things since she didn't really know the merchant at all, not really anyway. She had only met him once after all. She looked up at the rainbow bubble above and was curious what this was about.

Surtur
Deep Space Senshi of Desolation

MOOD: Intrigued
ACTION: Chatting with Almadel and Ymir

Surtur smiled easily at Almadel, and gestured to Ymir beside him, although he made sure not to step on any Mauvian trying to get to the offered cheese.

“This is Ymir. He and I knew each other a long time ago and he recently introduced me to… everything,” Surtur explained, pausing so he could glance over to Ymir for confirmation. He knew he was supposed to be cautious about what he told people. He knew their identities were important and supposed to be secret, and that not many people knew of the Senshi from other Worlds, and if that was going to put them at a disadvantage, then he wanted to make sure it was kept to themselves.

“Ymir, this is Almadel, the beautiful man I told you about. Although your eyes are just as stunning,” he said with a sincere smile as he took a step closer to the table to join the dragon man. Since they were invited, he took the seat closest to Almadel so he could see him up close and marvel over his horns and scales.

“You brought all of this? That’s very generous. I’m not sure I know what this place is. My memory has gotten fuzzy over the years. Ymir, have you heard of Astraya?”

Sessrumnir
Knight of Jupiter

MOOD: Cautious
ACTION: With Alastor, Amarynthos, Ephesus, and Lucasta

Sessrumnir’s eyes narrowed on Lucasta when she decided a curious question from a young teenager meant that he had no idea what he was doing.

“It was just a question, Lucasta,” he countered, although there was no real agitation in his voice. He had a lot to teach them, but they’d been busy with everything else that had been going on since the boys were made Pages of the Moon.

He didn’t have to point out that Ephesus was right. They didn’t seem very mean. Thankfully, Amarynthos was thinking the same thing, and Sessrumnir tried to keep his lip from twitching with pride.

“We’re keeping them safe. We didn’t expect to end up… here…” Wherever here was. “This is Alastor, Amarynthos, and Ephesus,” Sessrumnir introduced with a nod to the three of them.

He knew he couldn’t easily reach out and calm Alastor, so he tried locking eyes with him instead. At least for a moment, although with Alastor unhappy as he was, he wouldn’t be surprised if he avoided eye contact. Sessrumnir knew he would.

Ephesus
Page of the Moon

MOOD: Curious/Still a bit scared, and now embarrassed
ACTION: With Amarynthos, Alastor, Sessrumnir, and Lucasta, trying to open a granola bar

Ephesus’ eyes widened and his face flushed with embarrassment. He didn’t mean that they weren’t dangerous! He knew they shouldn’t be trusted! But Amarynthos was right -- they seemed friendly almost.

He pressed his lips together so he couldn’t say anything else that would get Sessrumnir admonished, and instead gratefully took the offered granola bar from Alastor.

“I would never give anyone my starseed. It’s mine,” he said as firmly as he could manage, before using his teeth to try and tear the granola package open.

When that didn’t work, he gave Amarynthos’ hand one more squeeze and then looped their arms together so he could use both hands to mess with the wrapper, but still being as close to his best friend as possible.

“You can stay with us if you’d like,” he offered, because it was important that they stick together, right? And she was such a pretty Mauvian. Maybe she would let them pet her. And maybe he would try to give her some of his granola -- if he ever managed to get the wrapper open.

Ymir
Deep Space Senshi of Sleet

MOOD: Very uncomfortable.
ACTION: Speaking with Surtur and Almadel.

Ymir was not a very social being. He didn’t like parties, or encountering strangers. He especially didn’t like being snatched from a place that had slowly been growing familiar, only to be left in a place that was decidedly not.

He let Surtur handle the introductions, which turned out to be a mistake. Surtur took it as an opportunity to offer flattery to both of them.

Ymir yanked his hand away. He stood longer than Surtur, stiff and uncomfortable, but eventually decided he didn’t want to be separated even by the width of a table. He took the seat on Surtur’s free side, using Surtur as a barrier between himself and the stranger, Almadel.

“Astraya is a myth,” Ymir said. “These life-forms must be mistaken.”

With notable anxiety, Ymir lifted his gaze from the array of food to Almadel. “Have you been here long, or… were you brought here by the same method we were?”

Lucasta
White Moon Mauvian

MOOD: Strict, but patient, in her own way.
ACTION: With Sessrumnir, Alastor, and the boys, educating Amarynthos and Ephesus.

Excuses, excuses. Sessrumnir was full of them.

Lucasta glanced from one adult to the other. Both seemed testy. That was fine. Lucasta was used to dealing with prickly personalities, what with Ganymede being so quarrelsome. She was not offended, nor did she apologize. It was her duty as a guardian to ensure that her charges were suitably educated, lest they wind up dead from their ignorance. Surely Sessrumnir and Alastor understood.

Since her normal charge was currently absent, Lucasta would have to make do with an extension of the family.

At least the boys were polite.

“One does not have to be mean to be bad,” she told Amarynthos. Though her tone was not aggressive, it was clear that she did not normally care for such juvenile terminology.

But these were children. She would do what she must.

“They laugh and embrace one another because they are friends and allies. Chaos does not diminish one’s capacity for affection. The friendly ones pose just as much of a threat as the ones who make no effort to lull you into a false sense of security,” she explained. “They will trick you with their kindness. They will attempt to lead you astray. You must not trust their smiles or their compliments. Many have been tempted toward Chaos by the promise of kinship.”

Ephesus, the pale one, seemed to be struggling with the wrappings of his snack.

Hopefully it was the only thing he would struggle with.

“Do you require assistance?” she asked, allowing her claws to protrude as a sign that she was willing to slice through the packaging if it proved too difficult for his clumsy fingers.

NPC Friender
Quadrupedal Mammal-Shaped Healer

MOOD: Friendly <(♡ ´・ᴗ・ `♡)>
ACTION: Admiring the organics with love! *Listening in on a friend*.

Frienders romping stroll across the debris field and between pathways that cut through an ever moving sea of legs, suddenly skidded to an abrupt halt. Friender had been sniffing for hurts—but got a message instead.

Friender sat itself gingerly, the goodest of pals, careful to mind trailing swaths of cloth garments and shiny shoes; tilted its head in the most dogish of ways imaginable, and replied….

Though it was all love-bites now and no bark, friender was still a friend, and could think far faster than it could flash images across its cracked screen. Did so. Felt the gentle whirring that accompanied sending thoughts across the span of their neural link network.

Is this organic being friendly? Are their petting nubs clean? Are the hands kind? Oh! There are frequencies of hertz that cause joy — *and pain* — maybe you have resonated with this one in a way that has earned petting! Such a good sign! I believe in you!

And if the organic was unfriendly toward Frienders friend—well—niceness could be instilled in most beings with little more than a warm hug.

TIKAL
Page of Ganymede

MOOD: oh hello there
ACTION: taking the cautious route for now, but staying alert

Tikal gave a flat look to the alien that had approached them, since he had completely ignored her so far. To be fair, she supposed, the senshi--Terebellum--was a bit more urgent than demanding that he identify himself. She would just have to assume he was friendly, then. He wasn't doing anything against that assumption so far.

The reassuring smile did help allay her concerns somewhat.

"Tere, then." Tikal responded easily enough with a nod of her head. "I'm sure you'll get the hang of it." She was going to volunteer her own name or try to suggest Terebellum eat something--that would probably help, right?--when the ram made itself known. Tikal decided, then, to just watch for the moment. She didn't know much about the ram and didn't particularly want to set off any defenses it might have.

YDDAGEN
Vanguard Cadet

MOOD: oh what a fascinating little robot--
ACTION: greeting little robot sheep

:
Yddagen was somewhat less cautious. "Hello, Tere, Bo," Yddagen offered, eyeing the little crystal animal--a form of livestock, if he remembered correctly--with curiosity. "How are you vibrating like that?"

Was it a speaker? Was it the material the ram, itself, was made out of? Did the robot use it for communication? ...As a weapon?

It was intriguing, and Yddagen found himself scooting a bit closer to get a closer look at this sentient mammal livestock. How was it doing that? How was it alive in this way?

BASILUZZO
Squire of Uranus

MOOD: Concertation(tm)
ACTION: hanging back with Encke for now, but watching out just in case

"Astraya?" Basiluzzo's brow furrowed. He was glad Encke recognized the name, but it didn't mean anything to him. He suspected it was because of the way Encke worded that. Did implied something that Basiluzzo was still getting used to.

He was reborn.

As was he, technically, but that felt like a concern for another day.

More importantly, was the fact that Encke vaguely recognized it a problem, or...? "Is that a good thing or a bad thing?" Should they be calling back Viatrix and Pendour? Why had Viatrix chosen to run off right then? Was Pendour still alright?

He hadn't even gotten to the living robots yet --

Ash
Order Guardian Cat

MOOD: Excited and Curious
ACTION: Questioning all of her new friends.

Helper pointed out another of their kind and Ash struggled, again, with staying or going. She had two perfectly wonderful robots right here, but one could always have more robot, right?

“The moon? Fascinating! I didn’t know they used to make robots. No one has ever mentioned finding any, working or otherwise.” That did give Ash pause and she tapped her chin with a finger, ears splayed in thought. “No one has lived on the moon for a thousand years or more… Does that mean you were all created during the Silver Millennium? That is an extraordinary feat of longevity! How have you all managed to last this long? Just finding an energy source over that span of time would have been a challenge.”

Clarity offered a distraction from her thoughts and she glanced over, her ears perking at the sight of a Mauvian she didn’t know. Any other time, she might have been eager to meet another cat, but there was far more important things right out.

“Oh! Yes! That is another Mauvian. He is in feline form at the moment. I am displaying our bipedal form.” She said, waiving a hand down her body. “We are from the planet Mau originally, but more recently we live on earth with the others that came with us.”

The sudden arrive of the ring leader (as Ash had designated him) made the guardian jump a little, her tail puffing before quickly smoothing back down.

“You have teleport capabilities?!” She squealed, bouncing on her toes again. She was a hairs breadth away from inundating him with questions about it when he gave her directions, she assumed to the space ship he had been talking about. “I will most definitely visit the ship! I want to see and learn everything I can about all of you!”

Vyn
Vanguard Corporal

MOOD: Despondent.
ACTION: Stepping away to take some time alone.

They were scattering — some in pairs; some, like Neryn, on their own.

Vyn took a step to follow, but stopped, frozen in place by his own misgivings.

He was a Corporal, yet he felt no sense of accomplishment, and barely a shred of pride. In that moment, he felt little different than he had when they first arrived on Earth — an under-qualified tagalong who somehow managed to find his way into the Vanguard. He had no purpose here, no power, no authority to guide anyone. He should be sitting in the grass somewhere, listening to the birds and insects sing, watching the sun climb over the horizon, stringing flowers together in his lap.

He couldn’t save their world when he had no ideas for how to do so, save the one most of his peers seemed unwilling to pursue.

He couldn’t protect anyone else when he could barely protect himself, couldn’t even keep himself from going missing twice in as many months.

He couldn’t lead when no one cared to follow.

What was he doing? What were any of them doing?

Vyn turned to Aliez enough to mumble, “I just need a moment.”

Then he, too, stepped away, to find some place near enough that he would not put himself in unnecessary danger, but far enough away from the rest that he could have a moment of privacy.

Erytheia
Knight of Cosmos

MOOD: Doubting what he thinks he knows, but mostly just confused if Astraya is real or not.
ACTION: Responding to Delta.

Erytheia remembered Kurma’s admonishment of his ancestor when he called the thing on his wonder the ‘Astraya Artifact’. Kurma had said it was nothing more than a myth.

But, yet, this odd metal creature was saying that, not only was Astraya real, it had called to them and now they stood in it.

“This place — Astraya — you say it called to you?”

His question was one of need. If something had called them here, perhaps, maybe… they could use whatever it had been that called them here to call out.

“I’m sorry — Illyria, Xamira — I’m going to have to leave you here. I need to investigate something and it might be dangerous. I don’t know. I need to find Kurma or someway to get us out of here.”

MOOD: Slightly sad because she can’t remember.
ACTION: Answer mode still activated!

Virtual Lady Clarity looked sad for a moment before answering again.

“I’m sorry. But I do not know when I was created. It seems to no longer be stored in my memory bank.”

Her eyes blurred for a moment as if she were searching some vast landscape within herself.

“Mau? There is another one of us who had been on Mau for a time. Blue may have even been made there as he shares some of your smaller form’s visual characteristics.”
