The Calamitous Hollow didn't mess around, but it was still getting smaller and smaller. Its attacks perforated their strange dimension with lightning, hard enough for the remainder of Niter's skin to feel burned. He tried to put it out of his mind.
Out, around, looping over itself, and back… There wasn't much of a pattern that he could see. And he wasn't about to risk his kitty on trying to get up there to fight it like the others.
He hummed a tune then, hoping his magic would abscond with the scale nearby. Instead, his magic manifested as a spiraling claw from another dimension — no, made of another dimension — that struck at the writhing beast.

Squire Celadon of Cybele Location: E5 Action: Shielding E5 this round Total: 6 + 5 = 11 HP: 52/125
Celadon struggled under the power of repeated blows. Their enemy was relentless. She wondered if she'd even make it out without brain damage, or if she'd wind up in a coma like her best friend had. If they made it out at all.
It was smaller now, but still quick. Celadon knew she couldn't survive many more rounds of this. Neither could the others in their group.
With a steadying breath, she committed her magic to shield her princess and fellow knights.
Lightning devastated that shitty shield that the Vanguard put up in their token defiance. Again they faced a rippling, disabling burst of electricity that Faustite recovered from stiffly. He spit on what passed for a floor; at some point during that second shock, he bit his tongue.
Heliodor had more to say, though he wished the boy would stop rooting around in that thing's mind. He knew better than to ask; Heliodor was as headstrong as Albite, if not worse. The only thing that would stop him was the worm's defeat, which he hoped to bring about before Heliodor got trapped in that thing's skull.
Faustite knew he had no means of ranged attack. He'd have to get up there while that thing flailed about among the stars and thunderstorms. Gritting his teeth, he urged the hammering in his chest to still; if he didn't overcome this ridiculous ******** fear and fight back, then Metallia wasn't getting her share of energy — from the Calamitous Hollow or the imminently former denizens of Earth. All the members of his team that he had come to count on would be lost to this hateful creature with a singular hunger for worlds.
Faustite gripped his shotel tightly. Against something that large, it was little more than a fish hook.
He leapt upward, passing through the flimsy shield and landing on its surface. The weather beyond was a terrible, static fright — Faustite tasted ozone mixed with metal while static built up along his grate. He waited just long enough to catch sight of the creature's right arm, just barely glimpsing where some of its scales were missing. Was that where Laurelite hit it, then?
He vanished off the surface of the shield as he teleported to the creature's right arm and used his shotel to anchor himself to one of its many scales. So much pressure and wind threatened to catapult him off, to reduce the General-King to no more than a leaf in a horrific storm. He bound himself to his shotel by its holster and prayed both it and the weapon would hold him fast to the oversized worm.
Then his flame grew, whorling with a bright malevolence in his core. It bristled and churned and spread until it grew into a powerful firestorm, encircling him as surely as clouds and lightning encircled the Calamitous Hollow, and he dared to hope that his flame might reach some of that scaleless flesh.
Electricity coursed down the creature and into Faustite with such violent potency that he was shocked unconscious for a bare few seconds.
Quote:
By expending some of his core, Faustite can whip up a firestorm on a local area, prefaced by dancing cinders seconds before the burst. Inferno gusts orbit clockwise, burning anyone caught in their whorl. Friendly fire possible.
Mr. Chaos Snake didn't seem very friendly! But also was attacking Mr. Thunder Snake, and not them! So Mönch would chalk them up as a maybe not horrible! For now!
When freaking SHENLONG appeared, Mönch vaguely thought that, while dragons were probably more powerful than snakes and should be scarier...this one was also really pretty. And cool. Almost absently, she ate the berry she'd been keeping.
It was delicious. And it helped her feel a little better.
Which was good, because Shenlong was pretty keen on making them all feel A LOT worse!
Watching more and more figures leaping up and moving higher, get closer to the dragon without caring at all about like, helmets and air safety, Mönch cried out, "Chillydown!! If you die, I'm gonna tell your brother! About All of the Things!" You know, the things!! "So you better be like, super careful!"
Another three huge kernels of corn flew up at the thing, but seemed insignificant as lightning stormed down on her. Blinking wildly and staggering back to her feet, Mönch wondered why it smelled like fried butter.
Amoris, Page of the Moon Location: Action: attacking the CH again Total: 8 + 10 (pin) = 18 HP: 64/100
Amoris was glad to hear the caveat of "just don't go too far away" from Emain Ablach, because the next thing he did was step to the side of the shield, take his own, and fling it up at the Calamitous Hollow at the first chance he got. He, of course, did not miss the way his body ached and stung from the burns and blows. But as soon as he crossed back under the protection of Emain Ablach's shield , there was a feeling of rejuvenation, and he attributed this to the healing he knew had come from Imhotep, judging by the glowing circle that went up as soon as he returned. Amoris frowned. "I hope you're saving some of that for yourself."
-------
Imhotep, squire of Mercury Location: Action: healing Amoris for all of his allotment Total: ( 2 roll + 5 rank + 10 pin ) x 2 (healing) = 34 HP: 52/125
Imhotep gave Amoris a noncommittal grunt, eyeing the lightning strikes and how close they seemed to get to the group of them. He had bigger priorities, and one of those was keeping Amoris upright during all of this. He had seen the way Amoris moved and knew he had been injured, perhaps to a greater impact than the rest of them. And with the new agent with them, Imhotep was loathe to let Amoris' health decline any more than strictly necessary. There was a part of Imhotep that was convinced the Negaverse would turn on them as soon as the Hollow was taken care of. He had not missed the show from their queen earlier.
But rather than speak it into existence, Imhotep kept his mouth shut and channeled the healing for Amoris.
The lightning was getting worse. The chain and arrow that had kept the giant snake, dragon-thing pinned down had snapped and Meissa stared up at the creature as it darted off. The small respite didn't last long as the creature returned, dragging skeins of energy back with it to lash the entire field of battle with angry jolts of electricity. Even some of the defenders, though they were putting on brilliant displays of attack power, weren't causing enough damage to destroy the beast.
Thinking back to a movie that she had recently seen on a streaming service did Meissa begin to understand the frustration of the population of Earth when it came to defending the planet from aliens. All the defenders here just weren't doing enough damage...
Would someone have to kamikaze themselves like that one pilot had in order to stop the Calamitous Hollow?
In awe, Brassite watched as Hessonite launched into the air and met the snake's underbelly like a tiny storm herself, all flashing blades and spinning winds. Grabbing Miss Chrysocolla's arm, the teen couldn't help but gush, "She's so cool! Look at the slash-pow she's giving! Does she give lessons?!"
Apparently they'd done enough at that point, for the ******** dragon to get small but also get like, super freakin' serious. The crashing power that came down on the yet again seemed even stronger this time. And the lightning that followed seemed a lot more personal.
But that didn't seem to stop anybody else, so she wasn't gonna let it stop her, either! Fortunately she knew enough gamer nerds to know that magic berries would either heal her or turn her into something, and since she didn't see any woodland critters or whatever hopping around, it would probably do her some good.
And it did! Which made a person wonder: was Mr. Almond also a gamer nerd?
Finally letting go of the eternal, Brassite cleared her throat, "I'm super ********' fine, just watch me!"
She jumped way up, way fast! And came down! Way faster! Singed and having given the thing barely a tickle, she gave a shaky thumbs up. "Extra fine! I feel so awake and alive right now!"
Arseno couldn't tell if they were really doing any damage to it with their smaller attacks or if something else was going on, but that didn't mean he was just going to stand there and do nothing.
He jumped up again, hurling his pick at the creature, hoping that he might be able to do something a little more, such as cracking a scale, and letting his pick hit the target before he summoned it back into his hand and hitting the ground again.
It would have been much nicer if they could just get on it's back and start whaling on it.
Location: D6. Action:attacking the Calamitous Hollow, using Almadel’s Pin and getting whammied by DSS wonky magic. Total: 8 (roll x2, DSS magic backlash) +10 (Almadel’s Pin) = 18 HP: 10 / 100 (65 – 38 from Calamitous Hollow general attack – 13 shield failure – 4 DSS magic backlash)
The ambient energy of this strange dimension—this place between realities, or whatever it was—wouldn’t let Thalassa rest. Not that he would have heeded any call from his body to take a rest. Not right now, knowing that Tyndareus had reincarnated on Earth but sat beyond their reach among the forces of Chaos.
But even as his body ached from the Hollow’s attacks, something about it made him feel supercharged. Glaring up at the beast, Thalassa growled and bared his own teeth. He had no delusions that such a gesture would affect the creature. What did it care about one senshi who had lived for too long and yet not long enough, whose strength had so much diminished from what he’d wielded in his prime, before the Chaos infection had devastated his world and killed off all his people?
“May the shijing drown you and thirty generations of your ancestors,” Thalassa snarled, pointing and glaring at the creature, summoning up his magic once more.
Quote:
Sailor Scout Attack: “Weary Flop.” Thalassa selects one target within a ten-foot radius and points at them, glaring intently. The target is immediately hit with a feeling of mild exhaustion, as if they have spent several hours working hard without a break. Physically, targets feel tired and drained but not completely empty; they may feel slightly dizzy or develop a mild headache. Emotionally, targets may feel any combination of worn down, irritable, detached, or confused. They may experience an increased sense of self-doubt or more difficulty making decisions. While not completely overwhelming, these feelings may make targets struggle to keep fighting. This magic lasts thirty seconds, with any lingering effects at player discretion. Thalassa may use this attack three times per battle.
Items Remaining:Almadel’s Pin (+10 to one roll), Almadel’s Berry (+15 HP)
He had felt his head hit one of the claws that had gripped the shield moments ago, but felt nothing break at the contact point.
He let out a disappointed grunt when he landed back. And now it seemed that the snake had finally woken from it's daze and was ready to do... something. He couldn't tell just yet if it was actually going to attempt to do anything other than destroying everyone's and everything's hearing, but that didn't mean they could stop. And so he leapt at it again, intent on doing something instead of standing around.
Mauvian Illyria Location: F3 Action: Going Mauvian Senshi and not making good choices. Illyria's attacking the CH. Total: 2 + 10 = 12dmg HP: 95 - 38 (rd damage) + 25 (increasing rank) - 13 (shield fail above) + 29 (Aliez's shield) = 98HP (I think)
Illyria was glad that she'd been able to assist at least one individual on the field. Her hands, now empty, clenched into fists at the sight of the struggles that the shield generator Lyndin was operating began to show signs of immediate deterioration. What would that mean for those that were still trying to fight the beast above? Illyria had seen the full length of what it was they were fighting and it terrified her.
But it also spurred on her next decision. At the distance that she was away from the machine itself Illyria drew out her transformation item and clicked the button on the side and heard and felt the telltale sign of it powering on and then all of a sudden she wasn't just Illyria anymore. Little additions flowed over her form: her dress shortened, shoes were added to her feet and her little golden headpiece rotated around on her head to look more like a tiara. The transformation added a few little ending touches before Illyria stood straighter. Her gaze flicked to the crowd of Velencians, to those brave souls willing to donate energy for what seemed like a good cause and then her vision shot upwards. There was no way that she would let a threat persist if she could help it.
Launching herself into the air Illyria struck out with her clawed fingernails. The blow back from her attack had her reeling but she persisted before she couldn't lash out anymore. Gravity, although lessened, still pulled her back towards the ground where she stood ... panting softly before readying herself for another attack if it came down to it.

- A glossy, white card. In elegant script, Almadel is written in shimmering opalescent ink. On the other side, a holographic circle. Almadel’s personalized, magical calling card. This item can be used to summon him anywhere, any time. You simply need to place your thumb over the holographic circle on the back of the card and he will almost immediately arrive. He has a unique magic that allows him to travel to otherwise difficult or impossible to reach locations. This might be an unnamed/unclaimed/random location in space. He may be able to travel to locked or inaccessible locations on Wonders or Homeworlds and he can even reach homeworlds and Wonders of Chaos locations. He cannot reach some specific meta locations but he may be able to get close enough to view or observe certain conditions. Players can inquire about these but are cautioned that others may be investigating the same meta location so information is not first come first serve. Staff will attempt to give something unique for all RPs, though. Every visit has a time limit; Almadel’s magic does not work for long and he can only carry one person at a time per card. He can do group RPs but all participants must have a card. This card can also be used to summon Almadel for information or for bargain/trade. This item will be earnable again in the future. Because this is a very powerful ability, plots will need thorough approval with staff before use. Please PM The Space Cauldron with your character and what they would like to gain from Almadel. We will work with you to plot things out!
Total: 8 + 5 HP: 70
Coco still hadn't given up hope, she knew that the chances of him coming during this battle weren't great and she saw the sisters looking at her but she wasn't giving up on waiting for him just yet. She really hoped they could get a little more help so they could survive this matter. She didn't her best to attack but since she didn't have much magic she could only do so much.
Mauvian Senshi Tama Location: A4 Action: Teleporting to atop the creature, attacking and jumping back down Total: 8 + 10 + 15 = 33 HP: 17
Tama knew to stay away when he saw that fire start churning in the general-king’s cage if a torso. It meant get out of the way or have burnt fur for a week.
The Mauvian teleported, but not just away. On to.
He figured his nails could get in even better on top of the beast and that was true. He slashed and finally felt the scales give way. But it was not without damage.
He teleported back. He was out of breath. To teleport twice took so much out of him he had.
Drombeg was going to reply to Dej when the shield suddenly broke above him and he was hit with with the glass-like objects that were now hanging around the Hollow and making everyone's ears hurt.
He was only able to just move his arm in front of his face and turn to block most of it, but he could still feel the cuts throughout his body. And with how they had been hurt just before this as well, they were not in a good situation.
When the glass stopped pelting him he looked over at Dej. "If you feel it would be helpful!" He said, nodding to her and willing to follow whatever idea she had.
Character Name, Rank, and a link to their journalOia squire of the coamos Location: I4 Action: Attacking Total: 4 HP: 38
Oia was hit hard by the shield failing she didn't have much left to give to this battle but she was going to do the best she could and hope it would be enough. The fate of the world was on the line after all. So she was hitting the Hallow with all she had wherever she was able to reach.
Location: H9. Action:attacking the Calamitous Hollow despite freaking out Total: 1 +5 (second stage) +10 (Almadel’s Pin) = 16. HP: 97 / 125 (38 DAMAGE NEGATED BY REMARQUE, –11 from Shield Failure [taken willingly], +2 from Lacerta’s healing)
Lete felt like some kind of chicken, running around without her head. Some kind of Chicken Little without a head, even, because the sky was literally ******** falling. Or it might as well have been. How anybody around her was even remotely keeping their wits about them, she didn’t know. Because when the Calamitous Whatever-It-Was finally deigned to show its face, Lete felt too paralyzed by fear to even scream.
Prince Remarque’s replicas of himself didn’t help. Even considering the fact that the Calamitous Snake Guy’s attack didn’t manage to penetrate and harm Lete, looking up at so many replicas of the Prince hit a nerve that it normally wouldn’t have bothered. Under other circumstances, this would have struck Lete as extremely cool, not something unnerving or unsettling. But right now, hypersensitive as she was, all of the replicas of Remarque, who looked so realistic but who could not be because Remarque himself was the real Remarque, left Lete feeling kind of sick.
Having noticed others doing the same, Lete brushed her thumb over the purple pin from Almadel. Terrified as she felt, they had to get out of here alive, which meant she needed to attack and do her part to help.
Quote:
Super Sailor Scout Attack: Decadent Rapture. While calling their attack, Lete traces their hand through the air as if following the curve of a face. Two enemies within a fifteen-foot radius feel something like a warm hand brushing down their cheeks, and then, the world around them seems to erupt in decadent sensation. For the duration of Lete’s attack, affected enemies are subjected to an onslaught of their five senses. Scents and tastes are more powerful, sounds seem louder, colors seem so vibrant that they might as well be alive, and anything that makes contact with their skin feels oppressively, suffocatingly heavy, as if the fabric of their outfit wants to choke them out or as if the slightest accidental touch should leave them with bruises. At this stage, the initial rush of pleasure from these sensations turns to pain more quickly; such decadence excites the mind, but ultimately proves to be too much. While this sensory overload deals no physical damage and strong-willed enemies can power through it to act, for the duration of Lete’s magic, affected enemies will struggle to think of anything else but the overwhelm.
This attack lasts for 35 seconds, and Lete may use it two times per battle. Any lingering effects of the sensory overload after the attack ends are up to individual players!
Items Remaining:Almadel’s Pin (+10 to one roll), Almadel’s Berry (+15 HP)
Dej shook her head and said "I'm actually not sure if it would help, after all all the factions are all over the place I don't think it would do much good." She said with a sigh. "Perhaps we should just keep fighting the best we can and hope we can win this battle somehow." She looked at the Hallow that was still do huge. She sighed "Battles and the fate of the world it never ends." She said softly.
