Reims, Squire of GanymedeSo far, everyone seemed to be okay. Well, there were some crazy wires getting thrown around and something was going on with the Senshi of that place, but he was honestly more concerned about people who bothered to try and get to know him. There weren’t many. He could probably count them on his fingers, but it was enough.
The others were attacking, so of course Reims would as well. He held his hand out behind Dering to catch him in case he stumbled backwards too quickly after trying to knock the Chaos infested cat woman off balance, and then reached to grab Yvoire by the back of his outfit to pull him out of the way of some wires.
Cynthus got a gentle hip check to bump her out of the way of some wires since his hands were full and he didn’t think she’d appreciate being shoved.
“Look out for these others!” Reims barked a warning and made a harsher pull to get Yvoire away from the zone in which everyone else was attacking without consideration for who was trying to get a hit in, first.
He waited until he had enough room to attack and then lunged forward with his sword.

Ephesus, Knight of the MoonEphesus gasped in alarm when Urania was thrown back, and nearly ran back to Amarynthos to hide his face against him. But there were others who rushed around her, and they had the Chaos to deal with.
He could have tried to get closer to heal her, but what if she just got hurt again? What if his friends or anyone else got hurt?
No, he would save his healing magic for when they had a moment to breathe. He couldn’t risk using it all right now.
He also knew he was pretty useless as he was. He wasn’t a fighter, he was a healer. Cynthus and Dering and Yvoire and Reims were all being really brave. Amarynthos would always be incredibly brave in his eyes, but Ephesus worried that he was holding him back. He didn’t want Amarynthos to always be worried about him and not allow himself to use his full potential and power.
Ephesus might not be able to do much…
But he had his summon, and she was strong, and even if it wasn’t enough to do much, she could at least protect them.
He glanced over to Amarynthos and nodded to make sure he knew everything was okay. And then his slim fingers brushed the water filled bauble at his waist, and suddenly an ethereal form of a golden tiger came into being beside him. Ears back and teeth bared, it launched itself forward to take a powerful swipe at the Chaos corrupted creature. Quote: Ephesus’s Summon: A golden tiger that shimmers with moonlight. When summoned, it will slash or bite with terrifying ferociousness. Players can choose for their characters to avoid damage, take temporary, or lasting damage at their discretion. Its roar drains hope from opponents for the duration of the channeled magic, with lasting effects up to the player. This tiger is a powerful protector and will do whatever necessary to guard its Knight and allies.

Sessrumnir, Knight of Jupiter If Sessrumnir had more time, he would have paid more attention to the Senshi and Knights as they fought. They were all fighting admirably and focusing on the Chaos to destroy it. Even those who were young were putting in a great effort, and he appreciated it.
He knew he was often concerned about the well being of others, but he was glad to see them all doing their best.
“You alright?” he was at least able to ask a Squire he hadn’t seen in a while, but was still proud of him for being there and doing his best. He nodded to Belmont, ready to nudge him out of the way of the tiger that was summoned by Ephesus.
But it seemed as though the Squire was able to hold his own. Maybe Sessrumnir had been concerned for nothing.
When he had the opportunity, he followed up Alastor’s attack with a punch of his own.

Mechelen Squire of LysitheaThings were…getting bad. Mechelen swallowed and stomped hard on the wires near her again. If they could rear up and tangle people in them…well. She wanted nothing to do with them, that was for sure!
She was shaking now, fear making her steps falter slightly. She didn’t miss the wire, but she didn’t manage to use the heel of her shoe either…it was…
Lackluster. She was lackluster.
Everything was falling apart, and she was lackluster.

Antisana, Squire of Pluto
It seemed like they were all back together: everyone that had divided up into groups, and Urania as well. That had to be something of a relief, at least. But it was not exactly a happy reunion. Even if they’d managed to accomplish everything Urania had needed them to with the puzzles and riddles, there was still Chaos here, and a blast of it sent this world’s senshi crashing to the ground, and mayhem erupted as something… other… emerged from the shattered barrier.
Urania knew this girl? This robot? She’d called its name…
But whether the senshi did or did not know this being was irrelevant. It had attacked her with Chaos, sent her flying, knocked her out. And Antisana doubted anyone here knew enough about it to deduce whether or not it could be reasoned with- or even if that was what Urania wanted. Others moved quickly to help her, while the rest had to defend themselves from this… wired-up catgirl thing.
Antisana didn’t have magic that he thought would do much to a robot, and he had no skills that would be of great use to Urania. Buuuut… in terms of sheer bulk, he was hardly a pushover. The girl(?) being the focus of most attacks meant he didn’t want to get in the way of anyone else, but beside him, Crisium had started to whale on a bundle of wires with a stray pipe that he’d picked up from somewhere. Elsewhere, those wires had started to launch attacks as well, against others, so, less wires seemed like as good a plan as any.
He snatched a group up in his hand, wrapped them around his arm and yanked. He didn’t know if ripping them out would do anything. So much of space ran on magic, but what did it hurt to try?

Squire Halle of LysitheaCrud. The wires were able to bind people. If they were allowed too much freedom of movement, it could spell trouble. But the robot didn't seem to be all too strategic in who it chose or in ways to use those who were bound. Yet. Never underestimate a boss fight was a mentality he'd had for years, and now more than ever, it felt like a sage piece of wisdom.

Cynthus, Squire of the Moon“YOU SUCK!” Cynthus screamed at the Chaos Cat Woman. “NO ONE WANTS YOU HERE! GET ******** dad would probably be horrified. He would sigh and mumble something about how she was too sweet to behave like this and could she please not be so reckless. Cynthus would scoff and roll her eyes and tell him he was overreacting, and anyway what did he expect her to do when she was a superhero?
She felt pretty super right now. Sure, some people were getting tangled up in the wires, but she wasn’t one of them! (Potentially thanks to a hip check from Reims, but Cynthus decided to bump him with her shoulder instead of thanking him for it because, like, she knew what she was doing, okay?)
She swung her crook at the Chaos Cat Woman again. Later, she would think they were kind of badass—her and Yvoire and Dering especially, but Reims and Amarynthos and Ephesus, too, all of them looking for openings and moving around each other like they were in sync with one another.
Maybe they just got lucky. Cynthus chose to believe they were just that good. It wasn’t like she had much proof to the contrary.
When Ephesus summoned his tiger, Cynthus sighed, “Ugh, when do I get a tiger?”

Yvoire, Squire of GanymedeThough he was unprepared for it and stumbled a bit, Yvoire was grateful to be pulled out of the way. He collided with Reims again and mumbled an apology, but wasn’t exactly opposed to the proximity. It was hard to be jealous of some girl when Reims had decided to stick closer to him than to her.
Or maybe Reims thought he was weaker than a Page. Maybe he didn’t trust Yvoire to be able to handle himself as much as he trusted Rose to do the same. Maybe Reims was trying to show off for her and helping Yvoire was merely part of it.
It didn’t matter. Not right now. Yvoire couldn’t let himself be distracted. With so many people in the vicinity, he didn’t want to use his magic and risk burning someone, so he used the distraction of Ephesus’ tiger to move in close enough to jab at the creature with the tip of his parasol again. He knew the tiger wouldn’t hurt him. Yvoire felt safer and more confident with it there.

Super Sailor Perdita, Senshi of Plenty“Stay out of the way of the wires!” Perdita warned Connie and Belmont, aiming another kick at the Chaos figure.
Her heart was racing. Though she would continue to appear calm and collected, Perdita wasn’t a fan of these free-for-all scenarios. There were way too many chances for someone to get hurt. If it wasn’t magic, it was someone’s fist flying a little too close, or a weapon coming out of nowhere.
Or a summon.
Perdita couldn’t say she was too disappointed about the tiger summon. More of those would be helpful. If everyone else could stand back and let the summons get to work…
“I don’t suppose either of you have one of those,” she said to Connie and Belmont.
She couldn’t recall ever seeing a Squire use one. Most of the other knights she knew were proper Knights.

Rose, Page of LysitheaRose tried not to worry. She tried. Things weren’t going so poorly that she thought they didn’t have a chance, but with some of the others getting tangled up in the wires, she could see how things could quickly fall out of their control.
They could still fight. She stabbed at one of the wires with the tip of her spindle. It was all she could do for now.

Page AlmerePeople were getting tangled up in wires now. Oh no. That looked dangerous! Luckily it didn't look like any of her friends had been hit, but, well, that didn't mean that they weren't going to be. Almere couldn't heal. She didn't have a shield like Halle. What she had was a spoon, and so she decided that she was going to have to make offense into the best defense. She gripped the spoon like a sword, and slashed at the wires. It didn't work nearly as well as just ripping at the wires, it turned out.

Amarynthos, Knight of the Moon
“Ask the Code for one!” Amarynthos answered. “It likes to give presents when you take care of your Wonder.” He struck at the robotic woman, hard. It wasn’t easy to maneuver with so many people around but he took great care to make sure he could hit her and not them.
Honestly, he was relieved to see the tiger. He felt safe with it, and he knew that it would protect Ephesus–and fight to protect them, too. He did his best to stand in front of Ephesus if he needed a shield. They worked well together–and for as long as Ephesus was at his back, he knew nothing was going to hurt him.
Ephesus might not have been a fighter, but he was a healer and a protector.
And who needed to fight when he had a Summon that could do that?
Amarynthos could smack at the wires when there were too many people swarming the cat eared Chaos woman, and he did so with great force. Once, briefly, he managed to kiss Ephesus’ temple when he twisted to hit another one.
They were still doing okay. Ephesus was doing great–and all of the others were, too.

Alastor, Eternal Senshi of Despair
There were a lot of others doing their best here, but Alastor still stayed near Sessrumnir and the teenagers. Things didn’t quite feel right. This wasn’t a battle he felt like he could enjoy, it wasn’t like social sparring.
It was Chaos, and a mechanical host, maybe. He didn’t know how things worked on Urania’s world but he was glad to see her in the distance, awake and protected. He suspected that of everyone there, she was the greatest target. If the Chaos overwhelmed her, it overwhelmed her world.
She'd kept it--and herself--alive for too long to lose now.
Alastor, still full of energy and purpose, tried to tear some of the wires loose to prevent the Chaos from using them as a weapon.

Belmont, Squire of Jupiter
“I’m working on it,” he answered Perdita, but honestly he wasn’t quite sure where to start. Probably needed to get stronger, himself. Or unlock some secret room on his Wonder. “It’ll get better when we get rid of the Chaos,” he said, and he sounded like he believed that.
He was careful, sort of, like Connie had asked. Maybe not as much as he should have been, because Sessrumnir was there and he didn't want to seem like he was slacking.
Of course, he was briefly surprised that Sessrumnir had seen him, and for some reason he felt the sudden urge to make sure he impressed him. He had to prove that he was doing alright. Better than alright! Good!
“Yeah, you?” he asked. He resisted the urge to check to make sure he hadn’t been stabbed or whipped by a wire while he wasn’t paying attention, but he thought he was pretty on top of things. He wasn’t in any pain, he didn’t think he’d been blindsided. Perdita and Connie were right next to him, and though he spared them each a quick glance to make sure he hadn’t missed them getting hurt, he was still pretty confident that he was doing okay so far.
He’d avoided the tiger that one of the Knights had brought, and managed to get in another solid hit before he stepped back just slightly to make an opening for someone else while he prepared to strike again.

Dering, Squire of Lysithea
Cynthus? Cynthus had that much in her?
If Dering didn’t know her already, he might have been terrified of her. He hoped the robot woman could feel fear. He didn’t have any clever or catchy battle phrases; he wanted to stay as out of the way as possible. It wasn’t that he was afraid of the wires (he was, a little) but of all of his friends, he was probably the most useless.
Which wasn’t him being hard on himself, it was just practical! He needed to learn how to use his magic. For now, he could keep jabbing with his lute (sorry, lute) and hope that it would be distracting enough to keep them all safe from future attacks.
Even with all of the violence and chaos around them, Dering didn’t feel too shaken. He had Reims and Yvoire next to him, and he did his best to be careful and watch their back like they watched his.
Even with a brief distraction–Ephesus had a tiger, after all!–he jabbed his lute at some of the twisting wires, hoping to disrupt them before they could form anything dangerous.
