The Order Mauvians have once again restored order to their technology! Thankfully all bugs have been squashed and everything's working better than it had before! White Moon Cats now also have access now to an underground apartment complex where they can claim a room for themselves! These rooms can be utilized as they see fit, either as workstations or living stations! Additional information can be found in the Newly updated Mauvian Information Thread!
The Information Thread received a huge overhaul for Mauvians of both factions, so if you are a Mauvian player, please check these out!
We also have some news regarding alternate art for a few of our rare factions! This will affect Mauvian, Half-Youma, and Full-Youma players! Previously, these characters were somewhat limited in what alternate art they could have, so we would like to announce a few changes:
Mauvian Art:
Previously, Guardian Cats were entitled one piece of art per stage, however in the past this meant that characters were limited in what template they could choose based on what was available. Many players may have settled for a template or art that did not accurately reflect the character they wanted to play. We are changing the rule about Mauvian alt art to allow players to get alternate art of both their cat form, humanoid form, and their Mauvian Senshi form. While Mauvians are technically considered permanently powered characters, for the sake of cooldowns, getting alternate art of JUST their cat form will put you on the ‘alternate civilian art’ and give you a a cooldown of one month. Getting alternate art of their humanoid or Senshi form will be treated as buying alternate powered art and will put you on that cooldown! If purchasing with Crown Tokens, new art of just the cat form will cost 1 Crown Token; it can be purchased at the same time as alternate powered art (of either humanoid or Senshi form) for an additional Crown Token at that time, or it can be purchased separately.
Alternate Mauvian Art can have up to 10% differences without needing approval, however these characters will have more flexibility when it comes to uniform overhauls. A player may choose to change some of their color scheme, theme, or style. If you are considering a large change for your Mauvian’s appearance, please PM this in so we can work out details! Mauvians do not need a great plot to change their uniforms; as highly intelligent beings it would make sense that they could change their outfits by making or acquiring new ones. Their only requirements are that their outfits must be fantasy themed, and they should try to grow with a similar color scheme. If they have earned their Mauvian Senshi form, they will still need to have enough similarities between that and their Humanoid form that they are easily recognizable. Alternate Humanoid art and Alternate Mauvian Senshi art cannot be purchased at the same time; you can only get one piece of alternate powered art every three months.
Half-Youma Civilian Art:
Because Half-Youma characters do not have access to their natural civilian form and only have access to a temporary glamour that resembles a civilian, they were previously unable to get civilian art. We have reviewed this and determined that there is no reason they should not be able to get art to represent the form they take while using a glamour. Half-Youma characters may now get alternate civilian art to represent their characters. This will be on the normal alternate civilian cooldown of one month.
Youma Civilian Art:
Unlike Half-Youma, youma are not capable of functioning as humans. They do not think in the same way or feel as the same way as humans, so would take on a human glamour far less frequently than a Half-Youma might, however the shop will also be opening up alternate civilian art for them as well. We would like to ask that players please keep in mind that these characters are not capable of vast self expression and require permission to use a glamour in an event; a plot must be submitted to the mule and approved before they can use their glamour. Their disguises would be almost certainly geared towards specific Negaverse schemes or events that may have a particular dress code, so it is unlikely that they would have a full closet. However, players may get art of their character as they see fit in the way that best represents the glamour they take. This civilian art would go on the same one month cooldown as all other civilian art.
Alternate Half-Youma and Youma Powered Art
This is not a changing rule but just a reminder that these characters are eligible for alternate powered art. Not all artists might be comfortable doing specific designs, so please check with them before entering in customs that might offer powered art! We have had some inquiries about half-youma and youma designs and would like to make a small note about that! All youma and half-youma designs must first be approved before they can appear on art. Your Half-Youma or Youma character may change based on their experiences in the shop or their influence by Chaos, but both appearance and abilities need to be sent to the mule for approval. Naturally occurring, non-plot influenced Youma and Half-Youma designs should be based on things you can find in nature--most commonly living creatures (typically plants or animals) and should not take on manmade or modified influences. Youma would not naturally have parts of them that were refined metal, technological, or mechanical.
While canonically some Sailor Moon youma possessed items and took on forms influenced by objects, for the purpose of this shop we are asking that youma designs be limited to creatures, monsters, beasts, and naturally found, unprocessed, raw materials. However, plots can influence your characters appearance! If you are playing a Half-Youma or Youma character that is severely damaged in battle, you may plot that they undergo some procedures to replace lost limbs or alter their appearance to improve their standard of living. If you would like to plot something out or have further questions on what this means or what this might entail, please feel free to PM the shop mule!
This information will be integrated into the appropriate information threads within the week, so if you see threads that don’t yet reflect this information, please know that we are working on it! If, after the 1st of June, you find information that contradicts what is presented in this announcement, please let us know so we can correct it!
If you have any questions about any of these updates, please ask in the MQ&A or shoot the mule a PM!

Hello, Moonshop!
We have an update related to Crown Tokens!
We are in the process of preparing a new Hiring Thread so the existing one is going to be defunct as of August 31st. Unfortunately, this also means that the opportunity to earn a Crown Token by posting once a week will also be removed. We understand this will probably disappoint a lot of you but we would like to assure that we will be working towards introducing more ways to earn Crown Tokens in the future. You will still be able to earn one Crown Token per month for completing any three roleplays and starting one new one (as well as for any event that says you may claim a Crown Token).
We want to thank you all so much for the hard work you put into keeping that thread very well advertised! The thread will remain open and the offer to collect one Crown Token for bumping once per week will remain up for the next four weeks, so you have the opportunity to claim one more! We will make a post in the thread on September 1st and change the title to make sure no one misses when the thread closes and the offer has ended.
That is not the only change regarding Crown Tokens, however the next change is just an update to the items that can be purchased! We have added IC Items to the Crown Token list; for 1 Crown Token, you can get any 1 IC Item! You will need to indicate which Item you are claiming in your post in the Crown Token thread. We have also set up a new Information Thread for IC RP Items so you will be able to easily reference which items are available and how to use them!
We will have more information on our new Hiring Thread in the near future. Thanks so much!

The Dark Mirror Senshi have returned to Destiny City after an eventful week and a half in Mirrorspace. Due to Mirrorspace’s oddities it seems like much of Destiny City was affected; the media is reporting a strange flu passing through and there have been reports of a massive number of people experiencing fatigue and hallucinations. Destiny City has excused all students and workers who have missed work due to the extreme exhaustion that has left people hospital ridden or too tired to even leave bed.
Any powered individual who was sucked into the mirror knows the true story, and some of the civilians have figured out that the media explanation is just wrong. The Dark Mirror Senshi who ventured to Altea’s castle especially understand that the ‘flu’ likely has more to do with misbehaving.
But they know a lot more than just that.
In their time in the Mirror they now have a better understanding of the origin of Mirrorspace and the source of their powers. Those suffering the effects of Altea’s crystallization will find their injuries disappearing within two weeks, though in the worst cases (and at player discretion), they may find that they have pale scars where the crystallization once was.
Upon their return, Mirrorspace seems smaller—or, at least, not so foreign; sometimes paths seem to loop back to the common room or there are repeating patterns. Sometimes a crack appears, but for the most part it seems stable. There’s no doubt that there is more to Mirrorspace out there—and perhaps, if they continue to gather energy, they can access it.
And, there’s a Golden Mirror in the common room that leads to the strange, new world they discovered. The Chaos Seed they recovered seems inactive, encased in a reflective bubble. It is out of reach and does not respond to the Dark Mirror Senshi, but it seems to be tied to Mirrorspace. The Seed has no owner; the last one was shattered. For now, it seems, it is no threat. It is still a source of stability and helps maintain the new realm they have unlocked: a malleable region known as the Mirrorscape.
The Dark Mirror Information Thread has been updated fully to reflect all new information and changes, so anyone who has a character in the Court or who is interested in the Court should check it out! Any Dark Mirror Senshi is free to ICly play with any information in the thread if they participated in the Meta, however new characters must learn it from older characters. You may handwave these characters getting the information but you cannot just awaken knowing it!
Additionally, this ‘[Event] The Mirrorscape’ subforum will be repurposed and renamed as ‘Mirrorspace’ within two weeks time! If you have an open roleplay in Mirrrorspace or any old roleplays that occurred in Mirrorspace that you would like to be moved here, please let us know and we will do so (though this is not required!). You may continue to do meta RPs if they are already open or if you plan to do some backdated ones, but by the end of the month we hope that no new meta RPs will be started. Eventually, the Meta Information thread will be archived and we will have a general information thread up for Mirrorspace; the meta summary will be updated as soon as we can manage!

Hey, everyone!
We’ve created a new hiring thread, so if you’re interested in joining staff, please check it out! We’ll be accepting applications for RP Moderators for the next two weeks and hiring for artists will remain open indefinitely. In addition to hiring for Full Time artists, we’ve also created a new position—Guest Artists! Guest Artists will be permitted to do art for the shop but will not have the same requirements as full time artists. Full information about the position can be found in the hiring thread!
Slots for RP Moderators will be limited because we are trying to fill some very select roles but slots for artists, either as Full Time or Guest artists, will be unlimited!
If you have any questions, please PM the mule and we will be happy to help however we can!

Hey, everyone!
Thank you so much for your patience while we deliberated on our new roleplay moderators! We appreciate all the time and effort you guys put into filling out your submissions. We had a lot of great applications and regret that we could only accept so many new moderators to join our staff. For this round of hiring, we took everything into consideration but focused very specifically on two aspects; we were very interested in the suggestions to improve the shop and plans to implement these changes and the plots that were suggested. A very important part of being a roleplay moderator is facilitating plots, and we need people who are willing to create and run events that can be fun for the whole shop.
So, please welcome our new moderators:
Ghouliboo, Kapoodles, Skye, and Syrie!
We’re going to be getting them settled in over the next week or so before they really hit up their new moderator duties, but we are hoping to be caught up on everything in the near future!
While we couldn’t invite everyone to join us, we want to assure that we are looking into all suggestions that were provided and will be doing our best to improve based on the weaknesses that were pointed out to us. Anyone who submitted a plot and may still be interested in running it, please feel free to contact us if you want to work out and run your event!
We had some inquiries if people would be hearing why they weren’t selected; we did not prepare rejection letters but if you would like to talk about your application, you may absolutely contact us. We want to stress that we had a lot of really great applications, and it took us a long time to figure out who we were going to hire, so if you weren’t selected for this batch, please don’t be discouraged! We were looking for people who could point out weaknesses in the shop and had a plan to correct them, and people who had strong plots and were ready to unleash events on the shop. There will always be more opportunities to join our staff in the future, and we hope everyone can understand that if they weren’t selected this time, it doesn’t mean you aren’t still an incredibly valued member of our community. We truly appreciate everyone who applied and can see how passionate you all are about seeing this shop succeed.
We are going to try to do our best to make you proud and give you fun, exciting new plots to play with!
Unfortunately, Noir Songbird and LP will be stepping down at the end of the month, so we want to thank them for all the hard work and effort they have put into the shop.
Our artist and guest artist positions are still open, so if you are interested in joining our art staff, there is still time!
Joining our artist roster, we would like to welcome Ivynian as a guest artist. We look forward to seeing her work!
If anyone has any questions, please feel free to PM the mule and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible! We have a few PMs that are past our usual two week window of response time but we are working on these as fast as we can! We appreciate everyone’s patience as we continue to work down our lists, but if you would like an update or want to poke us about anything, don’t be shy!
Additionally, we want to announce a change regarding a very specific type of character—Double/Multiple side swapped characters!
After much consideration we are amending a ruling we have regarding double/triple side swaps. Canonically plots that resulted in shifting from good to evil didn’t ever really bar the character from reaching more power, and we believe that strong roleplay and plots could allow characters in our shop to regain power without affecting the canon we have surrounding multiple side swaps.
Because of this, we will be allowing characters who have multiple side swaps grow to stages they may have lost or may not have ever reached as a result of side swaps. However, this will not be easy!
Players who want to grow characters with multiple side swaps will have to do a lot of extra work to have their character regain the stage; cooldowns from one growth to the next will be doubled, RP requirements to reach the stage will be doubled, and the player must submit a plot that explains why their character deserves to grow and what they have been doing that would warrant their growth.
For example, a General that purified to a Knight, and then willingly recorrupted and is now a Captain would not be able to grow for six months, and would need to complete 24 solos, 36 RPs (at least 12 of which would be battles), and would need to submit a plot that would ICly explain why their starseed is capable of handling more power as well as how they have proved that they deserve that power back. Only RPs done while they are in their current faction can count! This means you cannot use roleplays to count for growth if they ICly occurred before the character completed their most recent side swap.
If your character has triple side swapped, they can still grow but must do double the requirements for each stage, and must submit a plot for every stage they grow to.
If you have a character who has done multiple side swaps before this announcements, those RPs and anything they have been doing after their most recent side swap can count towards growth! These RPs must be done while they were in their current faction/after their most recent side swap since the roleplays need to prove that they deserve to grow while in their current faction.
We’ve updated our Faction Swap Information Thread with updated information about this, so if you are interested check out the post about multiple side swaps! We have adjusted or added two new questions in the FAQ section:
Quote:
Can an Order character who has double side swapped (order—>chaos—>order) Transcend? Yes! All that is required is a powerful and sincere bond to the planet or homeworld. In most cases, a character is required to be at eternal stage before reaching this rank, but it is more important to show that they truly have a deep link with their homeworld. Usually these characters will have to work more towards earning Transcendence, but it is still available to characters who have purified from a chaos faction (or double side swapped)!
If my character has double or triple side swapped and I want them to grow, what do I need to do? You must first PM the mule either when you have completed or are mostly finished with your growth requirements (double the cooldown and RPs as one would ordinarily need to complete to get to the next stage). You will need to discuss your character’s RP progress (in terms of if they are OOCly ready for growth or simply nearing it) and discuss what they have been doing since their double/triple side swap. A brief history of what they have been doing is helpful here! You will need to explain what your character is doing that would prove they are ready to grow again and what sort of plot you would like for them to engage in to back this up. Remember, in most cases, someone else will need to do their upgrade—typically either a Mauvian or a member of the Negaverse will be involved so you need to consider how the character is mending their starseed to prepare it for power and how they are getting these people to trust them enough to think they deserve more power. Though Knights operate more autonomously than other factions, even they will need to prove themselves to their Wonder. These situations will be handled case by case depending on the character’s history and plots, so if you have questions please PM them to the mule with as much information as you can provide and we will work with you!
If you have any questions, you can either ask in the MQ&A or PM the mule!

Hey, guys!
We have a few updates just to give you an idea of what's going on!
We have a few art releases that will be coming out in the near future, so you'll want to keep your eyes peeled for those! For the time being we have one art change we want to touch on--upgraded Knight swatches!
Knight Swatch Updates
While some of these swatches will look drastically different, there are a few major things to keep in mind!
All swatches for NPC Princes/ses have been updated to have seven colors. We have removed white and extremely dark colors from the swatches for reasons listed below. Players of Royal Senshi will be invited to update their swatch to reflect our changes, but we won't make any changes without first speaking to those players! You may notice that the colors for PC Royals will change in the upcoming weeks to include more colors, but old colors will not be removed--only more added to them!
White can be used in moderation for Knights of any alignment. Colors that had white on the swatch have had them replaced with another color. All knights can have up to 30% white on their uniform, except for Cosmos Knights which can have up to 60%.
Black and other dark colors can be used in extreme moderation as trim or accents on the costume. Swatches with very dark colors had these replaced with lighter colors to prevent these colors from being too dominant and looking too similar to Negaverse characters. While the rules in the Knight thread previously said that dark colors could be used but couldn't dominant the swatch, we felt it was just easier to remove the darker colors and allow them to be used as accents.
Metallics can be used on all knights. Metallics should not dominate the Knight's coloring, but can be used for jewelry or armor accessories.
Up to 20% of the outfit can be comprised of colors not on the swatch. White and metallic colors do not count for this 20%.
Characters who had a color that was removed from a swatch will be grandfathered in; you do not need to change your design and can continue to grow your character using the same colors or you can move to a new color scheme.
If you are getting alt art or growing a character, you can change the color scheme without getting approval. If the actual design is changing more than 10% for alt art, you will need approval, however if your design is changing just to incorporate the new colors we will work with you and won't require any sort of intense plot to get the changes approved! If your character is growing from one stage to the next, you do not need an explanation to incorporate the new color as long as your design is still cohesive. We will be flexible with these changes as we implement the new colors and as characters adapt to wearing them!
Cosmos has a unique swatch with some unique rules. Previously her swatch was simply listed as 'Pastel Rainbow' but we have some clarification rules for Cosmos Knights. While the theme is still Pastel Rainbow, we have added both a gradient and a sample of the primary colors in the gradient. The primary colors are not to be used singularly as Knight colors; all Cosmos colors must include a gradient of at least three colors from the swatch, or the full pastel rainbow. Additionally we have officially added a Galaxy themed swatch; up to 20% of a Cosmos Knight's uniform can be the Galaxy themed. How each artist interprets the 'Galaxy' theme may be different, but as long as it is galaxy-esque it fits requirements! Additionally, Cosmos Knights can have up to 60% of their uniform be white.
Rule Clarification Regarding Obtaining Art in Relation to Plots and Requirements
In addition to that, we have a clarification for one of our existing rules; if you have a plot that requires art, such as an upgrade or a faction swap, and you are using roleplays from that plot towards requirements for the stage, we will work with you to make sure that you can do your plot at the same time you get your art. In the past, we have worked with players to approve their plots and permitted them to complete related RPs offsite through venues like private guilds or GDocs. After these RPs were completed, we had the players message us their completed roleplays, and their full growth requirement log. While some of these RPs were completed offsite, the player proved that they finished requirements and met our standards to contact an artist for art. The artist completed the art, and the players were able to post their RPs leading up to the art drop, that were also used in their requirements, as well as their completed requirements now that the roleplays were posted on Gaia and could be linked to. The art is then able to be dropped in the thread once all the requirements and the completed growth log are posted.
This is something we will continue to offer to players who want to do a plot for a plot that has an art element to be dropped at the end of the plot, so anyone who wants to pursue this route is encouraged to message the mule so we can discuss details!
We have not reworded any of the rules in the procedure threads because in most situations, those rules will apply--we are simply clarifying now that we will work with players who want to drop their art in a plot they are also using for requirements. At some point in time we may reword the rules to provide more information on the shop's willingness to work with players who may need additional help with planning their art drop and events, but if we do make that update it will be in tandem with a larger write up update!
Finally, we also have an addition to the Mini-Event Subforum!
Mini-Event Calendar
We have added a Calendar of Events that should be updated with the approved plots and the dates at which they will be run in the subforum. If we are missing any dates, please contact us so we can fill them in!
Please note that the dates that are posted mean that the mini-event subforum will be in use for that period of time. Players must run their events within that time range to keep to the schedule and prevent actual overlap.
Approved events, such as ORPs, group RPs, or plots that require the use of only one thread are not included in that Calendar.
The Mini-Event Thread is specifically designed to be used for events that span multiple threads, so we offer players use of this thread to allow them to keep their threads in one location to make it easier for those participating. The blackout dates in the Mini-Event only list the dates which the Mini-Event thread cannot be used for other Mini-Events. Single thread events to be run in a specific location (For example, a Knight meeting on Olympus) could still be run in tandem with a Mini-Event because the Knight meeting is a single thread group RP that is being run in the 'Deep Space' subforum, where the Mini-Event, a multi thread tournament to span a week's time OOCly is being run in the Mini-Event thread and there is no competition within the Mini-Event thread. We hope this calendar will help players who want to avoid running any ORPs, Group RPs, or important RPs at the same time a Mini-Event is going on.
With Halloween right around the corner we've got some exciting events planned, so we hope you're getting ready for our festivities! Additionally, we have some exciting updates on the horizon, so keep your eyes peeled for further updates! If you have any questions about anything, please feel free to PM the mule and we'll get back to you as soon as possible!

Hey guys!
We wanted to touch on a really important topic--player etiquette. It is very important to us that this shop is a safe place where anyone is free to RP and have fun in whatever way they desire, provided all of our rules are respected. You are not obligated to RP or interact with people you do not get along with, but you are required to act in a courteous, respectful manner. You do not have to agree with everyone, but it is extremely important that when disagreements happen they are handled with care and concern for all parties involved. If you are too emotional or heated to respond in a respectful way, please take a step back from the situation and address it at a later point in time. Hurting someone's feelings or making people uncomfortable is not worth getting your point across, and being louder and more forceful does not make your opinion right.
We have so many active, creative players here, from so many different walks of life. We are all here for the same reason: to RP, to have fun, and to enjoy ourselves. There will be issues, there will be conflicts, but we can resolve them in a polite, courteous manner if we only try. If you have issues with another player you do not think you can resolve privately, or if you feel you need the Staff needs to address their behavior, please reach out to the mule so we can work with you.
A few important things we just want to stress:
Be polite. Don't name call, don't insult, don't criticize players or their plots or characters. Try to avoid players you might not get along with, or that you don't think you can comfortably work with. Similarly, don't interact with players you know don't get along with you or deliberately put them in a position where they are uncomfortable.
Don't start drama. Sometimes confrontational topics are broached and, due to sensitive subject matter or conflicting ideas, things wind up unintentionally uncomfortable. There is a complete difference in accidentally broaching a divided issue and deliberately do so. Don't attempt to make others uncomfortable or make posts with the intent to negatively impact others or give them a hard time.
Be respectful. Everyone here is a human being with thoughts and feelings and intentionally trying to manipulate or attack someone to hurt them is not acceptable. You can respectfully disagree and you can peacefully argue as long as the intention is to come to a better understanding or compromise. If things get too heated, please step out of public domain and either continue discussions privately or accept that the conversation needs to drop for everyone's well-being.
Don't spread rumors. Whether you hear something first hand or second hand, spreading rumors with any intention to harm, slander, or force players to be discriminate against is not appropriate. If you hear something that concerns you, go to the source or reach out to staff for clarification--especially if there is a rumor going around about policies, procedures, or plans. We take great efforts to make all of our updates and intentions very clear, and if you want clarification on anything, please feel free to reach out to us!
Don't use passive aggression as a tool of manipulation or guilt. This behavior does not benefit anyone and makes for an uncomfortable environment for everyone.
Don't discourage or harass players from participating in events or running plots. Everyone's plots and roleplays are welcome here and we will work our hardest to give everyone the opportunity to run events that they enjoy, and that they can share with others.
Constructive criticism is acceptable, but be respectful of if someone is asking for it or not. As a shop, we welcome constructive criticism, feedback, and suggestions. We do not welcome comments designed to belittle, insult, or harass either players or staff. Please be mindful of your word choice and the intention of your posts. Working with the shop to improve is acceptable. Working against the shop because you are unhappy is not.
We want to thank you all so much for being in our community. We have such an amazing group here, and there are so many creative people. Our moderator staff has so many ideas for RP Events and ways to improve the shop, our players have astounding characters and plots, and our artists are absolutely fantastic both in the quality of work and the time and effort they put into giving this shop such beautiful pieces. We are stronger as a community that works together and supports each other, and we will always strive to continue making improvements and offering a safe, wholesome environment to play in.
We can't wait to show you everything we've been working on, and we can't wait to see everything our community continues to produce.
Thank you all, so much, for the love and dedication you pour into this shop. You are an amazing group of people, and we will continue to work our hardest to give you a safe, creative environment to RP in.

Hey, everyone!
Now that the Winter Holiday Raffle has come to a close and our winners have had a chance to set up quest threads and move towards getting their new characters approved and in play, we'd like to ask everyone to take a moment of their time to help the shop out! We had a lot of fun running this event but we want to make sure that you had fun, too! We've set up a survey to collect a little bit of feedback to let us know what worked, and what to look into for our next event, and we hope you can help us out a bit! If you liked the event and wouldn't change a thing, it's a pretty straight forward survey, but now's a good opportunity to share any ideas or feedback if you have something you'd like to share!
Please know, this feedback is meant to reflect our Holiday Raffle Style events only; this survey is not designed to accommodate feedback for meta events or smaller scale plots! We will be looking into running more of these this year, however this feedback is for a very specific type of shop run event! For reference:
Quote:
Meta Events are shopwide events that are designed to change the gameplay or story in a large scale way, such as by offering major changes to a faction or new venues of roleplay! Metas typically incorporate members of all factions in at least some way. We have not had one of these in a while now, but we are working towards our next Meta Event! Mini Events typically encompass one faction and introduce a new ability or something that affects a single faction. While there may be some prizes awarded, these events are typically not motivated by OOC rewards. Mini Events often add or progress the storyline in some way but typically not on a large scale. Holiday Events are largely based around OOC prizes; these events always have a large raffle included. In the past, tickets used to be earnable through purchasing or winning in mini-games, however we have altered this so that the only way to earn tickets is through RP (either through ORPS or Prompts written specifically themed around season). These prompts and RP do not impact the RP World on any major scale. OOC Events are events that do not affect the IC storyline in any way and are designed to give players an opportunity to obtain something not typically available to them. Things like Bribes, Auctions, and Concept Contests would fall into this category!
You don't have to have participated in the Winter Holiday Event to leave feedback if you have something you'd like to see, but it would help if you were at least aware of how things were run this time around!
You can find the survey here! It is set up so you don't need to log in to respond, but please make sure that you only submit one response! We want to accurately assess all feedback and we are trusting that anyone utilizing this system to help us improve the shop will do so in an honest and helpful way! Please do not use this survey in any way other than its intended purpose. Please make sure all responses are respectful and designed to offer feedback in a constructive way! We will have no choice but to discard feedback that does not follow these guidelines, so please just follow those rules!
Surveys will be open through January 31st so please send in your responses by midnight EST
Thank you guys so much! We look forward to any feedback, and to doing what we can to make sure we provide the best events possible!

For all Corrupted Senshi: If you are a loyal servant to Metallia and want to prove you're willing to devote everything to her cause, you have the chance!
Ascended Senshi are a special class of Corrupted Senshi. They have gone above and beyond the call of duty and have sacrificed their homeworlds to Chaos. They have made the ultimate sacrifice to the Negaverse, but are now dependent on its Chaotic energy to live. They have sacrificed their entire world to Metallia, sealing off all past life memories and preventing any future Senshi being born to this world. They must be devoted to and trust Metallia fully; as such, typically only Eternal Senshi can Ascend, however even Super Senshi who have loyally served Metallia for at least four months are eligible to Ascend.
Upon Ascension, these senshi undergo some extreme changes:
Physical Changes: An ascended senshi is no longer fully human, and they require the absorption of larger amounts of energy to survive. The cracks in their skin are both a badge of honor and a weakness. They become more susceptible to physical damage to the point where a very strong physical attack may shatter or crack their skin, but in turn they gain some resistance to magical attacks. Attacks that are purely magical (such as debuffs, or magic that has no physical boost, such as a ball of magic that causes extreme cold) may have reduced effectiveness (to be discussed between players in RP). Additionally, they no longer have human physiology. When damaged, their bodies leak energy rather than bleeding. Their organs have been mostly crystallized. They do not need to eat, sleep, or breathe; they recharge and ‘heal’ from injuries by spending time in Negaspace, the Rift, or by consuming energy or eating starseeds. Ascended Senshi remain the same as they were upon ascension; they no longer age naturally. They are essentially “held together” by a glue of Chaos energy, and as long as they have a flow of Chaos energy they can recover from nearly all injuries.
Mental Changes: Ascension comes with significant changes to a characters mentality. Their capacity for positive emotions is somewhat diminished and they sometimes seem lacking emotions all together. Ascended senshi are typically crueler and more merciless than their original corrupted self. Very little of their original senshi personality remains. It is not uncommon for Ascended Senshi to regularly lose bits of memories and feelings due to their non-biological nature. They typically become very focused on their goals and serving Metallia so this does not leave a lot of room for individualization. This is typically more obvious over a long period of time, as their personality will continue to shift further away from who they originally were as time goes on.
Energy Signature: Ascended senshi have the consequence of an easily recognizable energy signature, as they leak Chaos energy from the cracks in their skin. They can be felt from a farther distance than a typical corrupt senshi of the same stage, though it should be noted that they are not ICly more powerful than other ascended senshi of the same stage.
Title: Ascended senshi have an IC rank equal to their stage. A stage three ascended senshi would be called, “Ascendant General.” A stage four would be called, “Ascendant General King/Queen”. They have, for all intents and purposes, forfeited their senshi identities and have become a part of the Negaverse. They are expected to be treated with respect, as they have made a huge sacrifice in service of Metallia.
Youma: While youma will not bond with any senshi, an ascended senshi can enter the Rift alone, and can command weaker youma that are present there.
Energy Gathering: Due to their need for energy to survive, ascended senshi must frequently gather energy by draining it and consuming starseeds. They do not need food or sleep to survive; energy and starseeds replace these needs.Alternatively, spending enough time in Negaspace or the Rift will keep them rejuvenated and functioning.
Additional Abilities:
Ascending leads to a lot of sacrifice, but gains a few additional abilities that affect them and their relationship with other Ascended Senshi.
Hive Mind There is an underlying connection through the Chaos energy that connects Metallia to all of her Ascended Senshi. This allows them to share thoughts, feelings, emotions, etc through a mental link. Being connected to this link at any point in time is purely optional, and any Ascended Senshi can opt out of it should they choose to. This link will connect them as long as they are all on Earth or within Negaspace; leaving Earth puts them out of range of each other, and if someone is wearing a glamour they will not have access to their powered abilities--including Hive Mind or any of the other Ascended abilities. If an Ascended opts out of the Hive Mind, they lose access to the other abilities, which include:
Location Sensing An Ascended Senshi can sense a more general idea of where another Ascended character is. This does not help if they are planets apart, or if a glamour is enacted, but depending on how willing an Ascended character is to share their location it will allow others to find them easily. An open Ascended Senshi might project almost exactly where they are into the connection; a more private Ascended may project what block of the city they are in.
Energy Sharing Ascended Senshi have the ability to push their collected energy into another Ascended Senshi. This often only enough to help heal or rejuvenate an injured or weakened Ascended Senshi in a pinch. Ascended Senshi can only give as much energy as they have, so if sharing they need to consider how much they will also need to survive or else they risk causing harm to themselves.
Ascension Process
Ascension carries with it severe IC consequences, and most senshi should find this option somewhat unsettling. To ascend, a Senshi must sever all ties with their past life self and give up all chances of purification. To do this, they must give their homeworld over to Chaos. The only way that a senshi's starseed can handle the level of dark energy required for this process is for it to be channeled through them and into their homeworld. After this process, they have effectively killed their homeworld; another senshi will not be reborn to guard this planet, ever.
For a Corrupted Senshi to Ascend they must travel through the Rift to the Traveler's Tower. This is a dangerous journey and one that the Corrupted senshi will require at least one Negaverse Agent to attend with them, as Corrupted Senshi cannot travel through the Rift alone. The Traveler's tower is a tall, stony structure with a giant spiral staircase inside that leads to a single room at the top.
The room at the top is large and boasts a high, dome ceiling. The dome has a perfect replica of the heavens – so perfect that it rotates and moves to track the universe and its constant fluxes. It was created with old magic and though it was swallowed by the RIft, the Chaos energy is enough to keep it charged and running. When a corrupted Senshi arrives in this room, their Celestial Body will illuminate on the ceiling and, if they did not know their name, it will magically enter their mind.
The room itself is bare, except for a low podium in the center. It is big enough only for one person to stand on. When a corrupted senshi stands on the podium, the domed ceiling overhead rotates until the celestial body is directly overhead. A magical haze will appear, like the dome is zooming in. Vague details of the world might be visible, however it will look like a dark shroud is concealing true vision.
There is no way to see into the shroud unless the Corrupted Senshi voluntarily gives themselves to the Chaos; they can stand on the podium for as long as they like and try to catch brief glimpses, but the purpose of this podium is not to see into the cosmos, but rather designed to locate the celestial body the Senshi is aligned with in Order to give it to Metallia. While on the podium, the Corrupted Senshi can consider their loyalty to Metallia; if they choose to give their world to her, they will need to place each hand on a designated grip; once their hands connect to it, Chaos will bind them to the podium.
The shroud will clear and they will be granted free sight of their world; gears around the podium begin to swirl and spin. Metallia herself will send a surge of pure Chaos energy through the tower, through the senshi, directly at the targeted celestial body. The combined efforts of the tower's location system, the senshi's devotion and trust in Metallia, and Metallia's control of Chaos, will begin to corrupt the world.
During this process, the Corrupted Senshi can walk in an Astral form across their planet and watch as it is corrupted; they will receive no memories and will not be able to interact with anything. Once the corruption is completed, their astral form will return to their body--Ascended. This is an incredibly energy draining experience and they will need to recover afterwards.
The ascension process will only work if the Ascended Senshi is completely devoted to Metallia and wants to give up their world to her; if there is even a shred of doubt the ascension process will not work--more, they can lose their life in the process. If they enter the process and do not have absolute faith in Metallia and absolute desire to give over their world to help further her goal, the Chaos that travels through them will completely burn them up. As such, Ascension is only suggested for characters with absolute devotion.
Ascension does not come with an extra piece of art, and cannot be obtained before stage three. If your character is already at stage three, they may choose to Ascend. If you want to acquire official art to represent their extreme changes, you will need to acquire an alternate powered art slot. You must submit a plot to ascend! While there is no form, you do need to contact the mule to discuss this as an option for your character!
Quote:
Can an Ascended Senshi return to their homeworld after ascension? Yes, but only in Astral form. They will need to return to the tower and use the pedestal; while they will not require Metallia's energy to 'visit' their world. While this consumes no energy from them, 'visiting' their homeworld can help heal severe injuries and recharge energy outside of the usual collection methods (gathering energy and consuming starseeds). It would be difficult for a badly damaged character to travel through the Rift to the tower just to heal though, so this is not the ideal method for recovery.
How long does it take an Ascended Senshi to recover after they ascend? It can take as little as a day or two to recover, but it can take up to a week depending on player choice. Consuming starseeds can help the recovery process but the newly Ascended may continue to feel drained until they adjust to their new body.
How much damage can an Ascended Senshi take before they are unable to continue? How long does it take an Ascended Senshi to recover if they have been badly damaged in battle? Ascended Senshi are physically very fragile; while a single blow might not be enough to completely incapacitate them, several good blows could be enough to severely weaken their body to the point that the cracks are so great they are leaking too much energy to continue. While Ascended Senshi are technically always leaking Chaos, taking further damage to their body will increase how much they are losing, vastly reducing the amount of energy they have and the amount of time they can function outside of the Rift or Negaspace without consuming starseeds or draining energy. An Ascended Senshi may lose complete limbs but still be able to fight; they do not feel pain normally, and their body is crystallized rather than organic. Once a limb is detached from the body, it will shatter into dust. As long as the Senshi’s mind and core are in piece, they can be taken to Negaspace or the Rift to recover, but depending on the damage there will be various heal times. A small injury might be healed by spending a little time in Negaspace or the Rift, or healed through absorbing energy or eating starseeds, whereas immense damage may be recovered over days or weeks spent in the Negaspace or the Rift. This depends on the extent of the damage and player plots. When an Ascended Senshi is running too low on energy, they have the option to ‘recall’ back to Negaspace; if they are badly damaged or in danger of being destroyed, they can teleport at almost no expenditure of energy back to Negaspace to recover (however, they will only be able to teleport themselves at this point, not others).
How much energy do Ascended senshi need to consume in order to survive? None while in Negaspace or the Rift; if they are spending a lot of time on the surface, draining someone to unconsciousness would be like a ‘pick me up’ snack to help them until they can return to Negaspace. They would need to drain energy or eat starseeds to replenish spent magic while above ground, but spending enough time in negaspace would also heal them.
Can an Ascended Senshi die? Yes; despite the fact that they don’t age and can recover from nearly any injury given enough time and energy, they can still be killed or permanently destroyed. They can lose huge parts of their body or sustain massive damage, but they require their head and at least upper torso in order to regenerate; the areas where the cracked skin appears strongest are their weakest points and are vital to their survival. While energy can restore their body if it is damaged, if it reaches the breaking point where they can’t contain their magic, they will die. When an Ascended Senshi dies, they turn to dust.
How long can an Ascended senshi can hold a glamour? Only three hours per day; it is taxing on the body and they will need to recover in Negaspace or the Rift for a while. Alternatively, they can consume starseeds or drain energy to replenish their spent energy, but they cannot use these abilities while using a glamour.
Is there any way to purify an Ascended character? Not at present, so we don't encourage anyone to pursue Ascension if they have any thoughts that it might not be the right (permanent) choice for their character. We will try to work with players with Ascended Senshi if there ever reaches a point where they are having difficulties playing their character, but there is no guarantee that purification or salvation for an Ascended senshi will ever be possible.
If you have any questions or want to pursue Ascension for your character, please feel free to message the mule and we'll be happy to help however we can! We'd like to give a special thanks to Felyn for working so hard to provide information and suggestions for Ascended Senshi! She worked very hard to help all of this come to fruition and we appreciate everything she's done to make this happen! Additional thanks to DaisyMilk and everyone who helped with the plots to reach this point! Thanks so much! We look forward to seeing what the future holds!

Hey, everyone!
We've got a lot of things going on recently and we're excited to update you all on a few changes!
First and foremost, we've been working on a release for a while now and we're excited to share information on Unique Art!
Unique art was something we offered a few years ago but as the shop went through changes, it slipped out. We are happy to announce that we are once again offering unique art to the shop! You can find this information in the Custom Procedure Thread!
Quote:
Unique Stage Art
Unique art is a special, non-templated art of your character. It is something that can be obtained through artist customs, raffles, bribes, auctions, crown tokens, and occasionally RLC. RLC slots will not be opened on Gaia and will vary between artists, so please make sure that you are in the Moonshop Discord Server if this is something you are interested in. Please note that due to limited artist availability and the fact that non-templated art takes much more time and effort, unique powered art is rare! Should you win a slot, you will have a six month cooldown before you can receive another piece of Unique Art.
If obtained in artist slots, unique art will cost One Trillion Gold for all human characters, either civ or powered. Non human characters (Mauvian, Half-Youma, Youma) will cost Three Trillion Gold. Depending on the design of the character, all unique art may have an upcharge of up to 500 Billion Gold.
Unique art can only be obtained one stage at a time; you cannot secure a slot for multiple stages or pieces of art at any point in time. If you win a slot for a unique character and choose to get a new character, you can only get one piece of art--either the civilian or the first stage. If you choose to get the powered art of your character, you do not automatically get the civilian art (even on templates). You must acquire civilian art in another way, sorry!
Unique art can be earned for any character type: you can win a slot and use it for either civilian or powered art and it can be for a new character, alternate art, or a growth. If you win a unique slot, you only go on the cooldown for unique art; what you choose to get art of once you win the slot is irrelevant and will not result in additional cooldowns. You cannot get art for a stage you have not ICly earned so if the art you are applying for needs plot approval before you can obtain it, please make sure you have permission from the mule to proceed!
If you elect to move to unique art for a stage growth, please note that this counts as one of your three guaranteed pieces of art to cover your character's growth. You are simply upgrading from getting templated art to unique art; you will not be given an extra piece of templated art if you decide to use a unique art slot for a character's growth art.
If you haven't guessed already, this means that moving forward, our artists will be assisting with fourth stage art! We've had many questions from the community about fourth stage, and the rules are very old and out of date. We've taken the opportunity to update and clarify a few things to anyone interested in earning the stage! You can find this updated information in the Fourth Stage Information Thread!
We have a few other updates we want to get out:
With the Addition of Unique Art for 40 Crown Tokens, the price for a Mauvian has gone down to 25 Crown Tokens! We also want to thank everyone for helping fill out our Event Survey; we had a lot of really great suggestions and are looking forward to implementing them in future events! Fourth Stage Knights and Negas will be getting a small update in the near future that will allow them to get alternate third stage art in the same way that fourth stage senshi can! There will be a small IC tie in to this to cover any plot holes as to why they couldn't shift between third and fourth stages previously, but when this is finalized we'll have another announcement to cover it! We have added an additional rule to the Working with your Artist post in the custom procedure thread; it’s really important so please be aware of it moving forward!
Quote:
Please understand that our artists volunteer their time and talent to our shop. If you disrespect them, harass them, or otherwise mistreat them, they do not have to do art for you. Artists are not obligated to work with players who make them feel unsafe and have the right to block players who have consistently disobeyed rules or proper etiquette. A single bad experience will likely not yield any sort of punishment, but if a player is consistently rude, disrespectful, or otherwise cruel to their artist, the artist has the right to block them. A player can easily avoid this by being polite, respectful, and grateful to their artist for working with them to provide their art. If you do not get along with an artist, please do not deliberately seek them out to do your art in an attempt to harass them. Please use common sense and good manners. Nobody wants to be punished or excluded from shop activities, but we will not tolerate our artists being mistreated.
Finally, there are a few more things we want to cover. We've had a few changes in our staff roster, and moving forward there will be more. Natsube has stepped away from the shop and passed ownership to Kyuseisha no Hikari; if you have any owed art from her, you will need to reach out to her to discuss this as the shop does not have records of it.
We have a lot of projects on the horizon and needed some immediate assistance on the RP Mod Front; we had many good applications the last time and weren't able to hire everyone, but we are happy to announce that Sweenys_Revenge will be joining us as an RP Mod! Noir Songbird will also be rejoining our moderator staff. These two are already working on some really important projects and we expect to be able to roll out some really great things in the upcoming months!
We will likely open hiring for our RP Moderator staff again a little later this year; artist applications are always open! Additionally, we will be adding another GM to our Roster so please look forward to that announcement in the upcoming weeks as well!
Thank you guys so much for being a part of the shop, and we look forward to what the future holds!

Hey, everyone!
We've been keeping busy and have a few more announcements we'd like to go over! There's a lot of text in these updates, so if you'd like to read it in a more digestible way these were posted into three posts in the main thread; in the first post we'll have updates on Staff Changes, in the second post we'll have updates on Questing Form Changes, with updates to the civilian profile, Heterochromia, and Knight Summons as well as an update to the Grab Bag Form and a clarification for Severe Injuries and Plots for them. In the third post we have information on the player introduced Order mechanic, Powered Bonds!
Thank you all so much for your patience while we continue with these shop updates; we look forward to all the upcoming changes and will have another announcement soon to introduce more!
Staff Changes
We have a few more adjustments to our staff roster as well! Sylent Nyte will now be serving as dual RP Moderator and Artist; we are working with her to develop the position and will make further announcements as we establish better guidelines for the position! She will be performing select moderator duties but will still be on our staff as an artist.
Additionally, Guine and Whimsical Blue are joining us as Art focused GMs! This is a position new to the shop so we will also be working with them over the next few weeks as we work out what exactly this position will entail, but we are eager and excited to have them to help out with some extra responsibilities!
We will also be transitioning to the use of two shop mules to help us keep things organized; we'll have a later update to clarify what this will entail and notify everyone that the appropriate threads/forms have been updated with the information. With the sheer mass of plot oriented PMs we get in on The Space Cauldron and with the addition of new GMs, we will begin utilizing our additional mule, In the Name of the Mule in the near future to handle such things as player complaints or concerns, fourth stage nominations, art inquiries or issues, and hiring applicants. We hope that this will help keep PMs more organized and create less of a risk of PMs being missed or forgotten! This hasn't taken effect yet and until there is another announcement we will still be utilizing The Space Cauldron for all PMs.
Questing Form Changes
We've gone over our questing form for civilians and will be implementing a few changes; you can see the new form in this post, but the summary of changes include making a few of the early parts of the form optional (Sign, Gemstone, Blood type, Favorite Food, Hated Food) as well as plugging in a new optional section, 'Gender/Pronouns'. It will be your choice to fill out these sections if you like; if you choose not to it will not affect your ability to get a stamp!
We have also clarified in the 'School' section that for characters who have aged out or are not in school they can instead fill out 'Occupation'! If your character is in school and has a job, you can fill out both!
We have also updated the physical description form to include skin tone and body type as well as make an adjustment to our heterochromia rules! Previously we did not allow genetic heterochromia but we are going to be lifting this! The questing form has been updated to say:
Quote:
Hair and eye colors cannot change from civilian to powered form, nor can tattoos or piercings. If your character has a tattoo as a civilian it will appear on the powered art, though will have a glamour to prevent people who have seen both from identifying civilian identities. Hairstyles can change between civilian and powered form; only Corrupted Senshi have vastly different hair between civilian and powered forms (their hair grows extensively in length!) Unnatural hair and eye color are perfectly fine, and there is no need to say they use hair dye or wear contacts - your character is free to have been born with blue hair if you want. Genetic heterochromia is allowed, but please consider that this is still considered a genetic oddity in our game environment; you are free to play with it but we encourage players to be considerate of this fact! If your character is intended to have different colored eyes due to injury, please make sure you have done adequate research and include relevant information when you post a quest, or PM the mule for help! More information on heterochromia can be found in the FAQ section of the Questing Handbook!
Previously we had an FAQ question that said:
Quote:
Genetic heterochromia isn't allowed; in what situations is heterochromia allowed? If your character sustains an injury, either in battle or by natural causes, this may reflect on their art, however you must do adequate research and be prepared to play with this realistically. If possible, we ask that you cite links to backup the desired appearance and side effects.
We have adjusted it to say:
Quote:
Are there any notable differences with heterochromia in game as opposed to real life? Not really! Genetic heterochromia (two different colored eyes) is still statistically considered a genetic rarity so players are encouraged to consider this before questing for any character with two completely different color eyes. The only difference is that we allow anime colored eyes. Matching hazel eyes (or matching eyes with gradient colors) do not count as heterochromatic eyes. Additionally, if your character sustains an injury, either in battle or by natural causes, this may reflect on their art, however you must do adequate research and be prepared to play with this realistically. If possible, we ask that you cite links to backup the desired appearance and side effects.
Because Mauvians are space aliens, they do not adhere to this same rule of heterochromia rarity as should be in humans; they are free to have heterochromatic eyes as well!
Summons Update
The civilian form isn't the only form to have an update; we've also removed the Summons portion from the Knight section. If your character already has a summons approved, that's fine! But because getting your Summons is ICly a quest the Knight is supposed to undergo we will instead be asking that players PM us what they would like for their summons when they are ready to undergo the quest. Summons Information can be found here! Because you must be third stage to unlock your summons, we thought it would be better to wait until after the character was in play before planning your summons or the plot to find them. You can find the form you will need to fill out for Knight Summons in the Knight Quest Thread from now on!
The updated information looks like this:
Quote:
If you are participating in the [QUEST] to gain a summon for your character please send a PM with the following information to The Space Cauldron so we can approve design and magic!
Summons -- What Summons does your Knight have? You must describe its appearance and the magical ability you'd like for it to have. Please keep in mind all information on Summons, as described in the Knight Information Thread!
All RPs related to finding the Trinket and the Summons should be labeled [QUEST] but before you start roleplaying anything, please PM the Space Cauldron to work out the appearance and magic of your summons; you do not need to submit a plot for this, but the plot should include: Finding some trinket or item at your homeworld that holds the summon. During a different visit see a vision or have an ancestor touch on the subject in some way, either having them talk about creatures that helped them in the past or a vision of them utilizing this creature. Doing an RP (or solo) where the knight realizes that the item they found has significance and calls forth their summon for the first time
Grab Bag Form
We understand that sometimes grab bag is just more appealing, but we want to streamline the process and make sure that the artists have everything they need to help them when picking up grab bag claims! Moving forward, we'll be updating the Templated Growth Thread and the Crown Token Claim Thread to include the following form:
Username: (Your full username here) Character Name: (Link to your profile/quest) References: (Include links to any reference pictures or a well written description of what you would like for the art! If you have no preference you can put CC but you need to understand that at that point, anything you leave to CC will be at the artist's discretion; you cannot ask for a complete redesign if you do not like the design they came up with!) Template Choice: (Which template do you want the art on? Include any requests for splices as well, but please be aware that artists are not obligated to do splices so may decline picking up something) Additional Info: (Is there anything your artist needs to know about the character or art, or any other special requests?)
By choosing the Grab-Bag method for this art, I am confirming that I understand being picked up in the Grab-Bag is at the discretion of the artist's time, ability, and willingness. I understand that this is not a guaranteed method and can sometimes take longer than expected due to the nature of them. Once an artist picks up my artwork, they will contact me to let me know that they will be doing my art. I also agree that any available artist, or combination of artists, may work together to complete my art; if I post for a grab bag, I will be prepared for the possibility of a collaboration. I may, at any point prior to being contacted about an artist picking up my claim, reach out to an artist to see if they are willing or able to take on my request. If they agree, I will PM or quote the mule in this thread so they can remove me from the grab bag list.
By posting this completed form, I agree to these terms.
If you are opting for grab bag, you will need to fill this form out in your post! The form will be updated to include a quote for the relevant staff who needs to be aware of the claim; this should streamline the process and make it easier for everyone!
Clarification on Severe Injuries and Plots for them
We answer a lot of questions in our Read First thread, and we recommend that anyone who hasn't had the chance to look at it take a peek! One of the questions previously stated:
Quote:
How are injuries handled? How much damage can a character take on? This hugely depends on the circumstance; we'd like to ask that you please consider first of all that you research an injury before you diagnose your character, and that you play realistically. While powered characters tend to heal quicker in a variety of ways (depending on faction, the rate of healing can be hastened with the magic of senshi with healing powers, visiting homeworlds/wonders, working with a Transcended character, by consuming starseeds). If your character takes on an injury, you must play this realistically! The characters are only human, so please keep that in mind!
We have adjusted it to provide a little more information on this! The answer to instead say:
Quote:

If your character takes on an injury, you must play this realistically! Aside from special groups (Mauvian/Youma), the characters are only human, so please keep that in mind! If you want your character to be severely maimed or injured in such a way that it permanently affects their life (such as losing a limb) please PM the mule so we can discuss things! This isn't considered an approval process, but the staff will want to work with you on what the injury might entail, and what options your character would have after the injury. Because injuries, characters, and positions in the game are vastly different, we want to handle these on an individual level rather than make blanket statements that might not affect all characters. If you want to maim your character in any way, please just contact the mule so we can work with you on what to expect!
Powered Bonds
Thanks to a personal plot pursued by Skye Starrfyre and Grymoire, a new RP perk has been introduced for powered order characters! This information can be found in our Plotting Information Thread!
With this release, we will also be updating the thread to have more information on Questable Shop Plots! These are going to be RP Plot opportunities that allow unique perks! These will often be questable across multiple factions and will be updated as we have more available!
Order characters now have the ability to bond with a civilian or order aligned partner!
Quote:
A Pledge to Bond
Similar in theory to the way Mauvians form bonds with a senshi, this 'bond' is facilitated by the commitment of two individuals to one another -- a pledge. In pledging themselves to one another as a form of commitment, be it platonic or romantic in nature, bonded individuals may share access to their homeworlds/wonders with another senshi, knight, or in some cases even a civilian!
This is not immediately unlocked the moment two individuals pledge themselves to one another and must be earned through extensive plotting. In order to unlock independent travel to the homeworld or wonder of their pledged partner both players will have to submit a form stating their approval to the mule.
Much like bonding with a Mauvian, in order for senshi/knights to allow someone to travel to their homeworld they must create a token that takes on a unique design based on the senshi/knights involved-- it could be something that a Mauvian would have to assist with creating, or in the case of characters who were pledged to one another in the past it could be as simple as finding their tokens/trinkets from the past. Either way, it should be something that they can each have a part of, or something similar to a matching set.
Guidelines
This pledge is for Order aligned characters (Senshi & Knights) and Civilians. Civilians who find themselves in a position to take part in this pledge are typically permanent civilians (those which a player has no intentions of powering up) that have committed a part of themselves to the protection of their powered partner's identity.
A character may only pledge themselves to one character at a time, so entering this bond should not be taken lightly! As this is different than the bond shared between a Guardian Cat and their Senshi, it is possible to share both that bond and a pledge, however.
A pair pledged to one another may travel to each other's Wonders or Home Worlds as though they were their own, the amount of times comparable to their rank. Civilians may travel as frequently as their pledged partner. The token is only capable of transporting the pledged individual to their partner's wonder or home world-- no additional guests!
OOCly, if this is something that you are interested in pursuing, please PM the following form to The Space Cauldron.
Form:
Senshi/Knight/Order-Allied Civilian:] (Please include a link to your journal!)
Pledging Themselves To: (Please include a link to their journal!)
Token: A guardian cat will need to design a token that will allow the pledged pair to teleport to each other's homeworld/wonder. These tokens will only be usable by the pledged and should have a unique design based on the pledged duo involved. Let us know what yours looks like!
Plot: There are no specific requirements for the plot leading to the point of the pledge, however there must be extensive role play between the two characters involved. Please tell us about your duo and why they would pledge themselves to one another, and also maybe a little bit about what you have in mind for how they come about their tokens to exchange the.
Confirmation of Approval: Please post here to acknowledge that you have confirmation from the senshi player ! You must have confirmation from your partner that your character may travel to their homeworld/wonder freely! If this approval is ever revoked (ICly or OOCly), your character cannot visit it alone! Additionally, if the pledge is ever broken (through death, corruption, or other means), the remaining half of the pledged pair will immediately lose the ability to teleport. The token will remain, but it will lose all magical abilities until such a time as the pledge is reestablished.
FAQ
Can a pledge be broken?
Yes. There are a number of situations which might cause a pledge to break, both IC and OOC. In the event a pledge is broken permission to visit a wonder or homeworld other than their own is immediately revoked. The token may break symbolically to signify this, but even if it remains intact it no longer works.
What happens if a pledged civilian becomes a powered character?
In the event they power up to Order, the pledge is maintained, although the pair may update their tokens to reflect this change. Should they power up to Chaos, the pledge is broken and the bond is lost. The token may break symbolically based on the player's preference.
What happens to their memories of the trips should either pledged person corrupt?
If either of the pledged characters corrupt, their memory will be affected to preserve the identity of their bonded partner. This may mean that their memories are unclear, that they forget who they traveled with or what the meaning of the bond was, or they may forget the trips altogether. They will not be able to use memories of this bond, or the trips they took, to decipher the civilian identity of any powered character aligned opposite of them.
Why can't an order character make a pledge to a chaos?
While an Order character may pledge themselves to a Chaos character, in order to complete the bond the pledge would have to be returned. As they have no Wonder or Homeworld to connect to their partner, a pledge cannot be completed between an Order and a Chaos character. Civilians can make a pledge because Destiny City is considered their homeworld until such a point in time as they would awaken as an order character (if applicable).
