Quest System
Rules:
- Any knight character may attempt to complete a quest (though you might need to be a certain stage to use the reward).
Only knights may complete these quests
These requirements cannot be handwaved. You must RP them out and those RPs will need to be linked to when you post to complete a quest.
Want to plot with a personalized quest? Contact the shop mule, The Space Cauldron! We're very open to letting people use personalized quests from 'The Code' or their wonder for plots (for instance: the Wonder requiring their knight to prove themselves in some way or pass a test to upgrade, The Code taking powers from a knight for acting badly and only restoring them after they complete a redemption quest, a personalized item quest handed down via The Code or their wonder, etc.)
Some quests will be very easy to do and others will take a lot more work and effort.
Usually the better the gain the more work that's going to be put into earning it.
Some quests may be very literal, like 'The Code' might contact people and ask them to do something. Other (and probably most quests) while laid out OOCly will not be laid out ICly to the character, as in the character will not know a list of things to do and must just do them naturally/organically.

Signet Ring Upgrade 1: Senshi-Sync Communication
This is an upgrade to a knight's ring. With this upgrade a knight may choose for their messages to go directly to senshi phones (as opposed to being a physical message). More importantly this allows senshi to text knights and the ring converts the message to a physical piece of paper just like other knight to knight messages.
Signet Ring Upgrade 2
This is an additional upgrade to a knight's ring! Thanks to Mistral, whose ancestor left behind a blueprint hidden in the Wonder, she and the many knights who helped her were able to make this upgrade available! This upgrade allows signet rings, in addition to their previous uses, to be used to transfer messages either verbally or through holograms! You may record an image in front of you and send it to another ring, or project a sent hologram from your ring! This would function in a way similar to video chat or FaceTime and allows Knights and Senshi to have a direct line communication to talk instantaneously with no delays. The Senshi would appear as a small hologram out of the ring (Similar to R2D2's hologram messages) and the Knights would appear on the Senshi's cellphones like normal video. The ring will now be able to function as both a magical camera and a projector. Additionally, Knights and Senshi can leave video voicemails or text messages if the person they were trying to contact was unavailable (be it because they were indisposed or not powered up)! Knights also have the ability to access the Senshi Database and read and edit articles. It takes the form of a holographic book that allows the user to search the index and edit articles.
Signet Ring Update 3 – Signet Ring Meter
Thanks to efforts by Scholomance, this meter allows Knights to track their vitals, including oxygen levels, heart rate, and blood pressure, as well as allows them to monitor how much of their magic pool they have remaining. This upgrade allows users to create their own meters, such as Hvergelmir’s personal update to record carbon monoxide levels in her body. The only limitation to what meters can be created is that the metered variable must be something inside the Knight’s body; it cannot measure or analyze any data outside of the Knight who the Signet Ring belongs to. The Installation Unit is a small circular plastic laden with gold interconnecting circuits. It has a paper backing and is semi-opaque. As a flexible plastic circuit board , it can be very easily attached to the signet ring by peeling off the paper backing and applying the sticky side to the underside of the ring beneath the signet gem. To activate the meter, the Knight needs to brush their finger across the signet stone to activate the meter interface; only the owner of the Signet Ring can all up this information. All meters will be displayed as if a hologram, and anyone can see the information depicted on the meters. Meters cannot be broadcast in help calls.
Signet Ring Update 4 – ‘Connections’ App
An app created by Sailor Alya so that Senshi could find a way to connect with each other easily. It was originally designed for Senshi phones and the programming been ported to function on the upgraded Knight Signet Ring. It allows Knights and Senshi to locate each other cross-faction and can be accessed by Mauvians from their database.
The application functions by allowing the user to create a profile including information about them, their skills, and what they are looking for. Users accessing the app can send messages or locate other users who were recently online or are nearby. It cannot be used for tracking but simply alerts users who are nearby in case they want to schedule a meet up.

Unlock Aspects: Page Quest Only!
This quest allows a Page to gain access to their Planetary Aspect; upon reaching Squire stage all Knights will automatically have access to this ability regardless of if they completed this quest or not.
Final Farewell: Descended Knight Quest Only!
This quest is designed to allow descended knights to see their ancestor's starseed return to the Space Cauldron and should be done only when an Ancestor feels there is nothing more that they can teach the Knight. In doing this quest, the character's ancestor will disappear forever. From there on out, they will have past life memories in the same manner than Reincarnated Knights do! This will also provide a boost to the natural healing of the Wonder, meaning you might notice plants grow healthier or the area seems in better condition.
Sense Potential Knight Candidates: Royal Knight Quest Only!
This skill allows you to sense an unawakened knight or any with knight potential! With player permission, your Royal Knight can tell when a civilian has the potential to power up, though you cannot predict who might actually become a knight and who might not! Sometimes someone has the potential and it fades—or they power up as something else! You cannot sense someone's potential after they are awakened, but you can utilize this skill until then!
Unlock Rank Shift : Royal Knight Quest Only!
This skill allows you to shift between your Royal Knight form and your third stage Knight form; it was previously a locked ability that can now be unlocked by Royal Knights who wish to pass as their third stage self.

You can't really put your finger on what it is, but the past time or two that you've powered up and touched your weapon it just felt...weird. Maybe you felt anxious, or that strange uneasy twist in your stomach, perhaps you even felt energized by the strange sensation. All you know is that it feels different then it ever did before, and not necessarily a 'good' kind of different.
Dismissing it and reconjuring it does nothing to help the feeling, every time you power up the sensation returns. The weapon still works the same way it always did, as does your magic, despite the strange new feeling. But it's left many a knight wondering and conjecturing...what in the world is going on?
Plan on doing a solo or RP that responds to/deals with this prompt? You should absolutely post the link to it in this thread!

That strange feeling has persisted on and despite much conjecture, experimentation, and conversation no one has really been able to figure out a reason for it or more importantly a way to fix it. Not even Camelot, the most sought-after source of wisdom and advice in a collective moment of trouble, could explain what was happening. Really, he could only confirm he felt the same! What in the world was going on? Thankfully, this problem decided to resolve itself fairly quickly.
It came over you all at once a strong, almost undeniable, urge to be at your wonder.. Some would say it felt like a terrible homesickness while others would claim it felt more like a telepathic distress signal, an S.O.S demanding their attention right now. Whatever the feeling it's eventually too much to bear, and when you do finally go something fantastical happens.
Some knights find their weapon changing and shifting before their very eyes. Others are treated to a warm glow of light that engulfs their weapons, relieving that feeling of tension and replacing it with one of warmth and power (perhaps unbeknownst to them shifting the magical powers that reside inside them). Some knights are even met by their ancestral guides, or are overcome by a vision of their past lives doing...something, that gives subtle hints towards a power, unknown in function or form, hidden somewhere in or around the wonder itself.
Though too often lately a silent force, the necessity that is the existence of the knights has not gone unnoticed. Their confusion, their questioning, all moving to shift the Order of the universe to answering them in a way that cannot be denied. The knights required more power, the knights required a way to truly serve whatever purpose they have championed, and the universe has responded, granting them this power in a form that has not been seen for a thousand years. Their true destiny, it seems, is about to be realized.

OOC Notes:
- This trip to your wonder DOES NOT count against your usual space travel limitations. So you can do them at anytime without it affecting any other Deep Space RP.
There isn't a huge rush to get these RPs/solos done, but they need to be done before you can RP ICly with your new and improved weapon/magic.
Please label them with [QUEST REG] or [QUEST SOLO] so that we know them when we see them!

We will be eventually incorporating this information into the existing knight information thread, but for now it is much simpler to have them in their own thread.
Once you've decided what you'd like to do with your weapon/magic (change it, add onto it, etc etc) please post for your revision here.
This is not mandatory. If you like what you have and do not want to change it you are not required to! That would be an example of a defensive weapon and defensive magic.
We also have a thread for accepted quests here but please realize priority is going to be given to existing, played characters.
All knights awakened after this point will not go through this change, they will be already awakened with their better weapons. They may still participate in the 'summons' portion of this prompt however.
Earn Summon
If you are participating in the quest to gain a summon for your character please send a PM with the following information to The Space Cauldron so we can approve design and magic!

[i]Summons[/i] -- What Summons does your Knight have? You must describe its appearance and the magical ability you'd like for it to have. Please keep in mind all information on Summons, as described in the Knight Information Thread!

- All RPs related to finding the Trinket and the Summons should be labeled [QUEST] but before you start roleplaying anything, please PM the Space Cauldron to work out the appearance and magic of your summons; you do not need to submit a plot for this, but the plot should include:
Finding some trinket or item at your homeworld that holds the summon.
During a different visit see a vision or have an ancestor touch on the subject in some way, either having them talk about creatures that helped them in the past or a vision of them utilizing this creature.
Doing an RP (or solo) where the knight realizes that the item they found has significance and calls forth their summon for the first time

(If you handwaved this happening in the past feel free to either backdate the RP or complete a solo in which your character reflects upon finding their ring in the past.)
Complete at least 3 RPs in which your knight works together with senshi characters (at least 2 should be battles).
Have a Senshi or Guardian Cat manually input your character's information into their personal phone or the Headquarters.

- A knight of any stage must find their signet ring at their wonder. Upon powering down and then back up again at any point in the future, they will find that they have a blueprint for the ring sent to them by the Code! This blueprint is a copy of the one found at Mistral's Wonder and allows each individual knight to have access to individually upgrade their ring.
The blueprints may be summoned or dismissed, and cannot be handed off to anyone of Chaos without plot approval!
The Knight may attempt to upgrade the ring themselves, or head to any technologically savvy character who is capable of this upgrade, be it a civilian, senshi, knight or cat! Unfortunately, Chaos should not come into contact with this map unless approved, so they are out of the picture unless you want to send something in!
A roleplay or solo must be done of either the person attempting to upgrade the ring, or mentioning afterwards that they have completed it! The actual maintenance for the ring may be handwaved, but it does need to be mentioned in roleplay that the ring was upgraded at some point in time. Please post that Roleplay or Solo when you post here!

- This upgrade was originally given out on Olympus; to acquire it you may handwave that your character was at Olympus at that point in time (provided that they were awakened). Any Knight who attended the meeting was invited to take extra to upgrade those who weren’t present; you may acquire the circuit board from a Knight who attended, either through handwaving or roleplay, or you may roleplay with Scholmance directly! Additionally, a blueprint for the constructing the device yourself can be accessed on the Signet Ring in the form a message.

- This upgrade is a small programming feature that is sent to all upgraded knight signet rings and can be accessed at any point in time. The programming can be downloaded and will function without any major modifications; once the program is installed they can access it without needing any new hardware built into their ring. The display will appear as a hologram that they can interact with.

To unlock access to their Planetary Aspect, a Page must visit their Homeworld at laest once. They do not need to perform any specific task or complete any goal but upon their first visit, they will become a little more in tune with the world their Wonder is located on and will be granted access to its blessing. Aspect abilities can be found in the Knight Information Thread!

You are free to do more than what is listed here, however the bare requirements to complete this quest are:
* Your character must be third stage to do this; your ancestor would not leave their post unless they were!
* Your character must have received both their summons and their signet ring
* Your character must have made at least five homeworld visits prior to undertaking the quest; there needs to be a strong development with your ancestor and time for your character to grow! These solos or roleplays must be at least 500 words!
* One of these visits must involve your character speaking with their ancestor to some degree about completing their training. The ancestor may mention they have no more to teach or just feel that your character has learned all they can. Your ancestor may also voice desire to return to the Cauldron, thus inspiring:
* The search for their starseed! Your character's ancestor is hidden somewhere in the Wonder, most likely in a safe, secret place that your character either never thought to look at or that revealed itself once they reach this point. There must be at least one roleplay or solo searching for the starseed.
* After you find the starseed, your character is then free to extract it from its safe place. There are no other requirements at this point; your character may choose to say final farewells and then release the starseed into space, where it will then return to the Space Cauldron. You are permitted to add special rituals or do more for this stage! Your character does not just have to return the starseed immediately and if you have something special in mind, please feel free to PM the shop mule, The Space Cauldron, with questions and we'd love to help you!

Upon reaching fourth stage, you must complete one homeworld visit roleplay or solo where your character has a past life memory of searching for knight candidates or some other related topic! This must be at least 500 words in length!
Unlock Rank Shift : Royal Knight Quest Only!
This skill allows you to shift between your Royal Knight form and your third stage Knight form; it was previously a locked ability that can now be unlocked by Royal Knights who wish to pass as their third stage self.
Upon reaching fourth stage, you must complete one homeworld visit roleplay or solo where your character completes any quest the player desires and visit the Code Piece on their Wonder. This quest can be as small or as significant as the player desires, and may be simply exploring, recovering a memory, or performing some duty or ritual--as long as it has some significant to either your character, their Wonder, or the lore of their world. This does not need plot approval from the mule to be performed unless the player wishes to have a conversation with the Code Piece on their Wonder. If they do not wish to have a conversation, they will simply feel the warmth of their Wonder when they visit the Code Piece at its core and they will unlock the ability to power up into their Knight stage and shift between that and their Royal Knight forms. The Royal Knight will immediately know how to shift between forms and it will come easily to them.
