Fetching Keilana
The moment that Takoda had left Jacinthus had felt rather... lonely. He knew that it was a silly thing to feel because he knew Takoda was going to be coming back but he just couldn't help it. He had perhaps gotten far too used to having his mate in his arms when he slept, not to mention just being able to give him a random hug or kiss whenever their paths crossed. He'd gotten far too used to having him around and while the selfish part of him wished he'd stayed the more level headed part knew that going out and saving people who were sick was something that Takoda had to do. Besides, he still had Keilana... or at least he would have Keilana if she would ever come back. His sister it seemed had spent the night somewhere other then home, something that he didn't care for even that no word was left behind as to where she could be found. He knew of at least one possibility so that was where he figured that he would start out, at the home of that really upbeat friend of hers with the white hair, Aminah was here name. He could see her going to spend the night at the other girl's house to avoid more time with Takoda after all.
It was where the Hunter headed first... but without any sort of luck. It seemed that she hadn't gone there at all today or last night either, something that irked the Hunter a bit. Where else could she be? It wasn't as though she had a mass of female friends that she hung out with, not that he knew of at least, and he couldn't recall her ever mentioning a male friend. A good thing since he'd just have to strangle the guy, so where was she? He decided that the best thing to do was going to be tracking her down using his skills as a Hunter, not the thing that he wanted to do since it would look bad, but at the same time what else could he do? She'd been gone all night and he didn't want to just sit on his hands and do nothing. What if she had gotten into trouble after all? She was hot headed, she could have challenged the wrong person, went after the wrong sort of animal, the list of what she could done was rather extensive so hunting her down was the best option to make sure that she wasn't laying injured somewhere.
The moment he returned home he set to work finding her most recent and fresh footsteps, footsteps that he probably should have followed much earlier instead of assuming that she would do what normal people did by going to a friends house. Instead after a time of following her trail he realized that it seemed to be making a beeline toward Jauhar of all places. What in the world was she looking for there? Bah, as though he wanted to go to Jauhar of all places he thought to himself, grumbling a bit, hoping against hope that he would be lucky enough to find her before getting to that place. It was difficult to track there due to so many creatures living both on the ground and in the trees, not to mention there were so many places various beasts could hide, a tribe of giant warrior women that didn't seem to like anyone, and the list went on and on... and Keilana had thrown herself into the midst of all of it? It was definitely something that he meant to scold her over. Really she needed to take more care, stick closer to home, and see about using her various skills to serve their tribe! She had rank now meaning she had responsibility to the Leaf Tribe he thought to himself in a grouchy manner.
He gave a momentary pause mid thought about what he was thinking about, sighed a bit, then muttered, "Eesh... I sound like how I bet our father would sound if it were him in my place..." He wished that it was, he'd feel better if their father was still around to help steer Keilana in the right direction but he wasn't, it was just himself to do so, and he felt that Keilana had gone in the absolute wrong direction by going to Jauhar. He'd have to talk with her about it, to have her make sure to let someone know when she meant to go on an extended hunting trip, she couldn't just disappear he thought to himself as he came to a halt at the edge of the forest. He looked forward into it, unable to see too terribly far ahead given the sheer amount of trees the place held, before starting forward once more. He kept his eyes locked on the trail that Keilana had left behind, wanting to find her as soon as possible... though his attention was dragged away from that and toward the sound of something rather loud coming crashing down out of one of the trees nearby. He blinked a couple times, eyes going wide, before rushing forward. Damn it... was that Keilana? Had she fallen out of a tree? It was a legitimate worry given that it wasn't as though the Leaf Tribe were as adept at climbing trees as the Shifters were.
The moment he arrived where he had thought the sound came from instead of finding his sister he found... her hammer? He tilted his head to one side, walking forward toward it, and then looked up. Had shebeen swinging at something from up there only to drop her weapon? Not exactly a good thing he thought to himself, wondering if he should take the hammer and then try to climb up after her or should he instead leave the heavy thing here, seek her out, and have her fetch it once he'd found her? He preferred the latter option since he wasn't exactly looking forward to carrying that giant weapon of hers about. He'd much rather leave that to her since she was trained in dealing with such a weapon. Of course a moment later, before he was really able to think too hard on his next move, Keilana was falling out of the tree after her hammer landing near to where he was standing.
Turning slowly Jacinthus starred down at her, lifting an eyebrow when his sister, who looked like she'd been run over by a herd of aldabuk, just greeted him as though what had happened was an everyday occurrence. Lifting a hand to rub his temples Jacinthus said, "Come on, Keilana, it's time that we get home." He'd get all of the 'hows' and 'whys' on the way home he thought to himself as he moved to help scrape his sister up off the ground. While he didn't care for the condition she'd gotten herself in at least he'd found her and he could get her home he thought to himself... and a short time later the hunter was herding his sister back to Tale, never looking back, oblivious to the fact that she had been with someone else during her little adventure.

Preggy Keilana?
Pregnant... it was a word that he had, of course, heard before but it wasn't one that he had ever thought that he would hear in connection to Keilana of all people. What was he supposed to do with this information? The fact that she was going to have a baby was one that just sent his mind reeling... she was far too young was the thought that came to him first. What came next was him wondering if he hadn't done well enough in protecting her if she was able to get herself caught up in such a situation, then there was the desire to find the father of the child and strangle the guy to death with his bare hands. The problem being that he had no idea who it was, nor did Takoda. It wasn't as though he'd ever seen her show interest in anyone but Enki... but surely not, right? Naw, it couldn't have been Enki... could it? He found himself in a debate with himself over it, wanting to believe that the guy, who felt was honorable enough, wouldn't go sneaking around behind his back to get into his sister's pants. He really, really didn't even want to think about it, not about Enki or really anyone else getting into her pants, it was such a squicky thought for sure. Blech... but still, the fact remained that someone had and he needed to pummel that person into a fine red paste...
The hard part now was waiting for his sister to get back from... well, wherever she had gotten herself off to this time so that he could talk it over with her, demand when it happened, who had done it, where to find said person, and then the destruction of that person would begin. There was the after math to think about though... once he beat someone into a red mist for messing with his sister then he had to think about the fact that he was going to be an uncle, that there was going to be another mouth to feed, that their house would need to be made more baby proof, that they would need to clean up some given that the house was littered with various treasures that he and Keilana had found over the years, there was so much to do. They needed a bigger place... a much bigger one now. Should he talk to the Elders about it? See about finding a bigger place in the village or getting some help from their fellow tribesman to expand the house they already had? He looked up toward their tree top home then sighed a bit. It had served them well for a time but if there was going to be another person living their that meant that they were definitely going to have to expand. It was already made too small when Takoda moved in after all.
"Need a bigger place." He muttered to himself, starting to pace a bit. Alright, so that was the biggest issue at the moment facing them, not to mention that he was going to have to start hunting a lot more, wouldn't he? He'd heard from others in the village that a pregnant woman ate like a pack of Witu and could be just about as unpredictable when it came to attack as them as well. Keilana was already dangerous, wielded that giant hammer of hers, and the idea of her swinging it about during a mood swing wasn't something that he was looking forward to in the least. Alright, so more hunting them, more food on hand to sooth the savage beast that was his sister, all of that on top of everything else that had to be done. It was all getting so complicated he thought to himself, wondering if the father of the children she was having planned to help at all... though he supposed that if he were planning to murder the guy with his own two hands he wouldn't really be of any help to anyone, would he? It was another reason to hope that it was Enki, the tribe would be down a good man if he was forced to pummel the guy after all. At least the baby would be strong... but it wouldn't make up for the loss of Enki, not until the kid was fully grown at least.
His pacing continued as he started to thinking on various other things that would be needed, what his role would be as an uncle and as the provider for the family. There was so much that would need to be done but a lot of it stemmed upon him catching up with his elusive sister, making her cough up the truth, and then going forth from there. The more he thought about it the more it made sense, how scarce she seemed to be these days, how she seemed to turn tail and run whenever he was about, the new clothing she was wearing that seemed a bit to big and bulky to wear in Tale. She'd been trying to hide it from him, something that didn't sit well with the Hunter in the least big. They needed to clear the air so that he would be able to help her more, damn it! Her being all secretive only shoved him off to one side, making it impossible for him to do anything but wonder where it was she was sneaking off to and had made him think that she was still angry with him for bringing Takoda home with them.
That it wasn't anger over Takoda that caused Kei to avoid him, that was a good thing, right? Not to mention that she had been going to Takoda for help as far as her baby was concerned so... maybe the rift between them was lessening? Still, he didn't like being the odd man out, damn it! He wanted to be a part of everything that was going on when it concerned his family! He would need to attempt his utmost to be patient, to wait for her to get home, and then they could attempt to chat like a normal pair of siblings until it devolved into an argument as things often did with them. It was just their way of communicating was all, though he would do his best to stay calm since stressing a pregnant woman out, especially one with a giant hammer, was probably a very poor idea.

After the Arrival of the Twins
The arrivals of his nephews was a bit of a surprise to everyone in the family and then some. They had arrived on a day that was unexpected, none of them really expecting Keilana to go into labor that day, and then there was the fact that there was not one, but two little babies. He couldn't say that was the most shocking thing that happened that day, no, the most shocking thing would have to have been learning who the father of the babies actually was. He was really hoping against hope that it was a good Leaf Tribesman, maybe Enki even though he was perhaps too old for Keilana, but no, it had turned out to be the one person that he'd of never expected and the one person that he wished that it wasn't. Stupid shield barer, why the hell would that guy end up with Keilana in such a manner? Not that he wanted to think about it, not in the least bit, but still... what had caused such a thing? Did the two of them even know each other? Was this Chalcedony's way of getting back at him for winning Takoda over?
He really doubted that the guy would go that far but still Jacinthus couldn't help but to wonder about the circumstances that had led to such a thing happening. So long as it turned out that it wasn't some clever plot on the part of the Shifter he supposed that he wouldn't beat him to death... not that his sister would really allow him to do so. The guy would likely be useful in the days to come when ti came to providing for the twins but that didn't mean that he had to like Chal or the situation that they all found themselves in. Chalcedony was most certainly the last person that he would want to invite into the family given how awkward it made things but he supposed that he really had no choice in the matter now, did he? Well, he supposed he did in a way, not as though he was going to get a mob together and force the pair to get married by any stretch of the imaginations.
Jacinthus would make damn sure that Chalcedony made himself useful to the family by helping to keep the twins fed as well as finding the various other things that they would need as they grew, but he wasn't going to give Keilana to him as some sort of prize just because the idiot happened to knock her up. No, he would never require that of the guy, if anything he'd much rather that he had stayed far from his sister... but that hadn't happened. Instead the two had gotten far more friendly then Jacinthus could think about without feeling sick to his stomach. Even just the mere inkling of a thought about such things made him ill...
He supposed that there was always the option of dragging Chalcedony outside the village where Keilana would see them so that he could beat the life out of the guy with his bare hands. Now that... that was something that the guy deserved for leaving Keilana in such a condition. The only problem being was that the twins complicated things, didn't they? He couldn't exactly murder their father and bury him in a hole in some hidden corner of Tale because the two would likely need him one day. Sure, he and Keilana had survived without parents for a good portion of their lives but it wasn't as though they wanted to do that. No, he would much rather have been able to have a father he could chat with about various problems he'd had while growing up, a mother to comfort him when things got rough, and perhaps they might have even had other siblings. It was because he knew what it was like to grow up without parents that he wanted to make sure his nephews didn't hav eto feel the same sort of pain.
Alright, so he would behave himself and he wouldn't kill the guy even if it was a tempting thing to do, though vowing not to kill him didn't mean that he couldn't punch him somewhere the bruises wouldn't show he thought to himself idly. It was a thought that caused the archer to give a bit of a chuckle before he glanced off in the direction of Jauhar. The shield baring idiot had headed back here today after too long a stint staying with Keilana and the twins, it was time to go back and tell his family what was going on, to let them in on the fact that the twins had been born, and what not. While he was more then certain that he would be returning all too soon at least he finally got some downtime to enjoy that didn't involve having to see him anytime he returned home. Home was supposed to mean relaxing, getting to eat, drink, and sit with his mate but that just wasn't something that was as easy to enjoy when his old rival for Takoda was about. Now that the guy was gone he was going to enjoy himself to the fullest, even if that meant tossing Takoda over his shoulder so that he could carry his Shifter mate off somewhere that they could have some nice, private alone time. It had been far, far too long since they'd had any of that.
A grin spread over his lips and the desire to beat Chalcedony faded a bit as he trotted in the direction that he'd last seen Takoda heading. He figured that now was a good a time as any to steal his mate away. There was nothing going on at the moment, the village seemed peaceful, the weather was holding, there was plenty of food, water, and supplies for Keilana and the boys, meaning that they would be fine to vanish for a while. He was sure that they wouldn't even be missed so long as the peace continued.

So There's This Tournament.
There was a letter going around that spoke of a Tournament that was coming up, one that seemed to be looking for various people to head that way, to fight, to figure out who was the best of the best and he couldn't help but to be interested in it. He knew it was a little arrogant of him but he really would love to win something like that, prove his strength to himself and the world at large, show that the Leaf Tribe was the best of the tribes. The letter seemed to be looking for that sort of thinking really, it said right there on the page 'Let's see who is the strongest race in Tendaji.' just after it said to test one's strength. He had been training hard since he had become a Hunter, throwing his all into it to hone himself and his skills to their peak so that he would be able to better take care of his family. It was a big family these days, lots of people, lots of pets for some reason that was beyond him, and this seemed to be the best thing to fall into his lap. Not to mention that part where it mention being handsomely rewarded spoke to him as well. A reward would be nice, it could be used to better the lives of himself and his family, something he was only too happy to do, and if his skills could aid his family in yet another way then he was all for it.
The question was what would everyone else think? Would they be all for him participating? Would they want to participate too? The more the merrier if you asked him because that meant that they had more chances at the prize at the end coming home with them. Keilana, Takoda, and himself, they could all sign up and they could all have a chance at the prize, and that would be good for everyone involved he thought to himself as he took a copy of the letter. He would take this home with him, show it to them, see what they thought he decided. While a part of him worried about the two of them getting a little scuffed up, not to mention that he really didn't know if he liked the idea that he might be pitted against one or both of them. Still, it was a risk worth taking if it meant they could get their hands on the reward, right? Not as though he was going to be using real arrows, he would dig around in his things, find his blunted off, dye tipped sparring arrows, and he would use those in his battles. No reason to risk permanent harm in something that felt more like a game then anything else, right? The worst that his dyed arrows did was caused bruises and painted people a nice, bright blue color. Just think, were he to due with an Ice Tribesman the dye wouldn't even show up he thought to himself in an amused fashion.
Upon arriving home it seemed as though nobody was around yet, that was alright, it gave him to dig around through his things and find the dyed arrows that he hadn't used in ages. It had been so long since he'd been in a duel after all, using all of his skill to go hunting for meat for his family, rarely bothering these days with silly things like dueling. The tournament would help him out in that aspect too though. It was one thing to hunt animals and a whole other thing to spar with those able to think and formulate plans he thought to himself as he climbed up the ladder into his tree top home. It had been cleaned up, rearranged, made safer for when his nephews were running around. They hadn't wanted to risk the two of them falling after all when they were tiny and now that they were Younglings, and a lot smarter, he didn't worry about it as much. Still, keeping dangerous things up off the floor was still necessary for obvious reasons. Better to have everything tucked away, hung on the wall, hanging from the ceiling, or otherwise out of reach instead of having two rambunctious little monsters playing with it, throwing it over the edge of the tree top house, trying to hit each other with it, or various other things he'd seen them do.
Jacinthus shrugged out of his bow and quiver, setting them down on the hammock for the moment, and went digging through one of his various trunks, shaking the dust off the stuff inside, then gave a pleased sort of sound when he was able to find what it was that he was looking for. He took out the quiver of arrows, sat down on the floor, and dumped them out before him. Once he had them all laying before him he set to going through each of them one by one, making sure they were still in good condition, making sure they were straight and would in turn fly straight. Only after a good long and thorough examination of each arrow did he replace them in the quiver, finding only two of them that didn't make the cut. Those two were tossed back into the trunk with the various other items that had been in there, the rest of them left in the quiver, "I will need to mix some new dye up." He mused to himself, knowing the stuff from ages ago had long since dried up. No matter, what was a bit of extra work in the way of making new dye when it came to what must be an amazing reward after all. He didn't mind doing it in the least because a bit of extra work meant a chance at provided something for his family that they would be able to make good use of.
Pushing to his feet he picked up the quiver of sparring arrows, finding an open hook on the wall to hang them up where they would be out of reach of small hands, before he set to searching again, seeking out a mortar and pestle first. Once he'd found that he put it into his pack, followed by a container to put the mixture in when it was done, a water skin, and the a small leather back to keep the herbs in that he would need to gather. Once everything was gathered up and tossed in his pack he put that over one shoulder, fetched his bow and quiver of real arrows, and then he was off. He'd set to work searching around the village for the blue flowers that grew there, the ones that were easily made into a nice, bright blue, sticky dye. It was perfect as a way to leave behind a very obvious mark on a person during a match so that they would both know exactly where he hit them. No reason to cause real damage after all when he could make 'killing shots' that would be marked by just dye and nothing else. That way he didn't have to worry about hurting anyone since that wasn't what he wanted out of the tournament. All he wanted was the experience and the prize that came at the end. No reason to harm people to get what he wanted when they would all likely go into it seeking the same thing that he was seeking, that being the grand prize at the end.
The hunter was all but whistling a happy tune as he went about collecting his flowers, already daydreaming about what he might do with the prize money.

After the Tournament
Even after making it home he couldn't help but to be bitter about how everything had ended. Jacinthus couldn't help but to feel as though the tournament was a waste of his time... well, save for the experience that he'd gained that was. They had gone out to that place, gone through the trials and tribulations that came with various battles, and despite the odds he had come out on top... only to have some guy he'd never seen before from a tribe he'd seen before steal his thunder. The man killed the fun of it all as well, declaring his people's intentions of starting a war. After that everything went along with the tournament, the challenge of it, all everyone had accomplished, and the very fact that he won seemed to mean nothing. It really did make him want to strangle the guy, he could have given Jacin at least a little bit of time to enjoy his win!
It had been an important sort of win as well, one that meant a lot to Jacinthus, he had finally gotten to beat that idiot Chalcedony in front of everyone! Bah, so much for that small victory... he supposed that he would just have to take the small truce between himself and that idiot Chal as the consolation prize instead. He knew that were to at least act a touch civilized toward the guy that his sister, as well as Takoda most likely, would be happy with him. Another small victory that he would take.
The problem wasn't just the fact that the guy had ruined Jacin's big moment, it was more then that, it was the fact that the guy had announced a coming war. Jacin hadn't even known that there was another tribe down South, hadn't really thought about it or cared what was down South until now, but now... now he was interested in who was down there, what they were like, how they trained, how strong they were, and so on and so forth. He didn't want to be caught unawares when they appeared come winter. If anything he wanted to be prepared so that he would show those fools exactly why they should have stayed down South where they belonged. Jacinthus had a family to protect, a mate, his village, and all those who resided in Tale. He wouldn't let some strangers screw everything up! No, would show them all exactly what he thought to them... though that was going to involve a hell of a lot of training on his part, not to mention that he was going to have to do more in the way of patrols. While the big guy claimed that his people were going to attack come winter he wouldn't take his word at face value. What if his King knew that he was here? What if the man knew that the guy was betraying him? He might push his campaign forward to catch them all of guard.
It was something that Jacinthus couldn't allow for. He couldn't let himself be caught off guard, couldn't let himself grow complacent thinking that they in fact had until winter before their enemies arrived. Sure, it would be nice if the big guy was telling the truth but if was best if they acted as though that wasn't the case, as though they were going to show up at any moment. It would be the best way to push him to train harder, to get stronger, to be able to better prepared for the day that he had to face off against the invaders that would try to take what was theirs.
Thinking on it he knew that he was going to have to train against others, those who were as strong as he was, and as much as he hated it he knew that meant Chalcedony. The guy had made it to the final round of the Tournament after all, meaning that he was going to practice with him. If the two of them faced off more in various duels it would help to sharpen both of their skills. Sure, the shield barer was likely the last person that Jacinthus wanted to deal with on any given day but it didn't mean that he wasn't the perfect choice. Helping Chalcedony get stronger... who'd of ever thought that it was something that Jacinthus would be considering but given the fool was the father of Jacin's nephews he had to look upon him at least somewhat kindly, right? Not to mention it felt as though they had a bit of a truce set of between them, that truce would help in the long run. It would allow them to work together, train together, fight together, and stop of those damned Southerners when they finally showed their faces.
Alright, if he was going to see about striking a deal with that guy when it came to training it meant that he should probably seek him out soon, didn't it? He seemed to come by from time to time to visit the kids and Keilana, that would likely be the best time for them to meet up. Jacinthus would go on patrols earlier then usual for the next few days, then catch up with the shield barer out of hearing range of Keilana and Takoda. The two of them would be able to plan then whens, wheres, and hows of their training sessions that way without interference. While he loved both his mate and his sister he didn't think that he and Chalcedony would be able to go all out were the two of them watching. It would be easiest for them to pummel the hell out of each other while they were alone, without anyone telling them to take it easy. Of course, eventually, they would need to train Takoda and Keilana as well, but to begin with perhaps it was best if Chalcedony and himself trained alone.
It could be a bonding experience or something... alright, probably not. That seemed a little more overboard then Jacinthus was willing to go. The two of them would make use of each others skills, nothing more, nothing less. Not as though he was out to make friends with the idiot or anything.

A Little Downtime
Jacinthus was feeling utterly spent at the moment, he'd been so busy of late between training, his run in with that girl, hunting, and battling with those Witu. The Witu were getting far too daring these days, something that he really needed to try harder to take care of. Damn things needed to stay away from his village he thought to himself as he laid down in the tall, dried grass, starring up at the sky. He knew full well that going on a crusade against the Witu, wanting to wipe them out single handed, was a foolish sort of dream. Not to mention he was sure that they had their uses, they must do something when they weren't stalking Jacinthus around trying to bother him. As such killing them all off was likely a poor idea. He just had to figure out a better way to feed his family and keep the village safe. There had to be a better way to keep them at bay, he just had to figure it out was all. For the moment though all he wanted was a nice nap.
The Leaf Tribesman gave a great yawn before he let his eyes sink closed, one ear giving a little flick. He'd listen for signs of anything approaching since he had his eyes closed, not wanting to leave himself vulnerable to attack. He would be able to hear something approaching due to the grass that he was laying in. The stuff was brown, dry, and gave off a crunching sound when it was stepped on or a rustle when it was walked through, either way he would know if something was getting close to him. He just had to be prepared was all, as such he moved a hand to rest it on where his skinning knife was sheathed, ready to draw it at a moment's notice. As he lay there, enjoying the light breeze that was blowing across the savanna he felt himself relaxing, his mind wandering between various thoughts, everything from his family to his village to Oba to what needed to be prepared for dinner. There was so much think on and he felt as though it was only getting more and more complicated as time went on.
The hard part of everything was trying to put it all into perspective, knowing that he couldn't very well do it all at once, that he would need to instead focus on things one at a time. Food was always the most important thing, it was why he hunted as often as he could and prepared the food so that it would last a long time through various methods. As much as he preferred food when it was freshly caught once the fighters from Oba arrived they wouldn't have the luxury of hunting for fresh game as often. He wanted to get their stores up so that when the time came they would be prepared for the long haul. After food there was the defense of the village to think about, they couldn't allow something as weak and stupid as a Witu to take out important members of the village all. It was a lecture that he'd had thrown his way after some of the men from the village had arrived just in time to help him out of a jam he'd gotten himself into involving those pointy toothed pains. When those from Oba came they would need everyone with the ability to fight to do so. They couldn't allow menial things to harm them when the true danger was to come. Last but not least was Oba.
As much as he hated the idea he knew that he couldn't concentrate only on them. He would put in as much time training as he could, even if he had to continue training with that idiot of a shield barer. Sure, their relationship of sorts was getting better but it didn't mean that he wanted to spend all of his time with him. Still, their battles thus far had been kind of... even, hadn't they? Two battles between them, not counting the Tournament, and they were dead even now. Jacinthus had taken the shield barer down when they were using their weapons while in turn Chalcedony had won when they had fought with just fists. At least he knew that Chalcedony could hold his own and help to protect the family. It wasn't something that he could do on his own, not against an entire invading force, so as difficult as it was he would need to trust Chalcedony, wouldn't he? Sitting up slowly he looked across the field as he heard a familiar jingling sound, his ears twitching for a moment, before he turned toward the sound. He knew what it was, it was Pembe, they had given the flamboyant Scorra a necklace with jingling stones so they would know where he was and so there was no risk of him being eaten by a hunter.
There was a long moment where he starred at the bird as it went running by, causing him to stare at it for a moment before he was suddenly lunging up to his feet, "Ah..." Wait a second... he starred for a moment before he scooped up his bow, slinging it over his shoulder, picked up his quiver next, then started back toward the village. He had an idea, a great idea, why not use that to their advantage? They could use the same sort of set up around the village, couldn't they? Attached to vines gathered from Jauhar, hidden around the village, they could help to alert the guards to any approaching beasts or even unlucky soldiers, perhaps? It was an idea he would need to run by those in charge of Yera though to see what they thought of it all. While it would be a end all fail safe it would still aid those guarding the village against those damn Witu and if they were lucky the first appearance of Oba. The latter of which would likely only fall for such a trick once but the Witu, they were dumb, they would fall for it over and over again. He couldn't help but to smile a bit pleased with the idea he'd come up with, he would need to thank Aysun later since it was because of his nephew's pet that the idea came to him in the first place.
Perhaps he'd thank him with another pet? It would be amusing just to see if Keilana's head exploded if he did. While Jacinthus would never understand a person's desire for pets it seemed that Aysun was collecting them, and it would be fun to tease his sister a bit by giving yet another of them to her son.
