Personality:
While Vivacious in nature she's out going.. full of life with an undertone of her parents.. she's not above arguing with others if she's dead set in her own opinion. She's got moments where she'd try to convince you the sky was green and the grass was pink if she was so inclined to think such. And as such, she's slightly color blind. Green actually does look pink to her. Blues and yellows she sees without issues. She can hold grudges for a while and brood on them when she's been struck the wrong way. Much like any kid some of her personality comes from her parents, however for the most part, she'll almost never show her brooding side.

Backstory:
The sun pierced through the murky water she'd been making her own lair in. She'd been born here, learned to swim here. A nice underwater crevice is what she'd found. This would do nicely for what she needed. The sharp pointed doe like hooves she'd been born with proved useful for kicking, digging and otherwise cutting at the stone to widen the crevice for her own uses. Turning under the water, she slapped at the crevice opening with her tail in order to widen it, make it something... more useful. She just wanted it to hold her beloved trinkets in.. stash away what little objects had caught her eye like a magpie obsessing over something that glimmers and shines. Turning, she looked back at it once more and seemingly satisfied, she pawed a few of the smaller rubble out of the way and inspected her work even further before returning to the surface to look about. Her head barely broke the surface as she glanced about. the water was still for the most part. Slapping her tail once more, she swam for the edge of the water and looked over the pile of bobbles and shells and other thing she's spent the morning collecting. she counted them coolly, a rather happy smile on her face over a collection well made. She'd rival her father's collections she wagered.

Personality:
Mysterious and aloof, the Croatoan is often lost in the mythos of his own creation. Believing himself to be a spirit of the forest, he often refers to himseld in third person (even in his thoughts) and always with the definitive article "the" before his name. He is, in his mind, the Croatoan. Sometimes gentle, often ambiguous, his poor mind is completely disjointed and out of touch with reality, possibly a result of dubious heritage.

Backstory:
The product of dubious parentage, the Croatoan knows neither his father nor his mother, though it is safe to say at least one of them was a cyrenei. Left in the forest in his basket, the first thing he saw upon emerging were fireflies dancing along the edge of the stream his basket lay near. The twinkling lights flitting about in the air reminded the young foal of his own mystical glowing. It was a sign that the Croatoan was meant to protect the glade, that his father must have been a forest god. Why else would his mother choose any other as a mate and then leave her foal behind to watch over the wood?

As the stallion got older, his grasp of reality began slipping even further into the mythos he'd created for himself as the son of a forest god charged with protecting the glade his mother had left him in. Despite verging on being delusional and somewhat schizophrenic, the Croatoan is a good sort and will be protective of those he grows close to.

What is their family dynamics? The children will be raised by their parents with some influence from Enakai's family. The Croatoan will want his children close by so as to teach them the religion he has created.

Traditions: Enakai has instilled a love of collecting upon her children just as the Croatoan has gifted to his children the religion dreamed up from his dementia.

Herd/Family culture: Tight-knit and wary of outsiders, they tend to keep to themselves in their small swampy glade. It's not unusual to see them conversing with fireflies as they arrange their collections.

Religious Beliefs: The Croatoan has created in his broken mind a pantheon of gods as a way to cope with his abandonment while still in his basket. As he's grown older and given in more to the schizophrenic dementia that is a part of his life, he's cemented his belief in being the son of a forest god and that his mate is a gift to him from her father, a water god. He firmly believes that his family are blood relatives of deities and will share these stories with anyone he meets, subtly converting them.

If a Boy: Croena happens to be cool and calculating laying in wait like an allegator waits in the murky waters for it's prey. A bit unhinged in his sanity he teaters on the belifes that his grandparents were gods of sort and thinks thusly that he is speacial to an extent.

If a Girl: Aahuti is a bit bold, her brutal observations and honesty is enough to make anyone cry. She's the first to tell a mare that she'd "old like grand-dad" and say she doesn't like her if she'd in the right mood. Happy and go lucky she enjoys finding ANYTHING that moves and stopping to investigate it and or catch it to keep as a pet. It's something that reminds her mother Enakai about her own greed and attempt to make her collection of trinkets grow. just up to the level of living critters like snakes and frogs.

Father's Owner:
If a Boy: Roanoke is his father's pride and joy, raised to believe the wild tales his father spins and the pantheon of deities his father's broken mind has created. He is for all intents and purposes his father's scion, groomed to go out in the world and spread the mythos of his father's crooked religion.

If a Girl: Astral is quiet and collected. She believes, as all her family does, in the stories her father has told her since her birth. Although, she has no doubt there is truth to her father's stories, she has become somewhat skeptical of the gods he claims heritage from and the notion that he is anything other than mortal. While she will not outright speak against the beliefs of her family, she does not quite follow their ways.

Short Bio San was born from a sweet zombie father who had been used by a cunning female kalona who wanted to use him for his looks. Playing with Necropolis this kalona did her damnedest to play the role of a "Nice" spook till she wound up pregnant and had time to give birth before sneaking away with the two baskets. Seeing his children stolen in such a dirty trick set of a spark of anger that hasn't been seen since with him, he went after Virus with the thought in mind that he could steal back the baskets before they could pop. Sadly already two lovely girls had come out of the baskets, one who was stuck to Virus like glue, the other seemed more focused on other things. Waiting for the right moment till Virus had left Necro took his chance to at least take back one of his babies, which happened to be the one that was more focused on other things. Taking the darkly colored filly back to his herd she was brought into the folds and taught the views, even with such views of kindness and respect with others who simply did not understand that they were not bad San always seemed...different. She was cruel, playful in a dark way, sadist, and loved to play and put her meals of small animals through unneeded amounts of pain before eating them. The child was a respectable kalona, driven to wanting to cause pain and chaos. Because of this want she was a outcast in her own right to the herd, finally driving her at her young pre-teen years to run off with her new friends who also understood her dark path and being an outcast. They went off to join the other teenager's herd that held their father's side of the family. Finally it seemed San had found some place she belonged. Heading into her adult years she faced many trials, dangers, fights, and drama leaving her more bitter and snappish, staying this way till she met another kalona named Nithhogr. After an interesting first meeting where he tried to make a meal out of her since she was a seemingly rotting body the two began to meet more and found out that they had a lot in common. Falling in love with the snarly dragon San went back to her more playful self, balancing out Nith's aggressive way of looking at things.

Short Bio Nithhogr is based on a norse dragon that hung random the base of the tree of life eating the bodies of the dead. Nithhogr has taking on his own version of this story living in a cave system below a half dead tree surrounding himself with dead things. Nith was abandoned at a young age and because of that became rather aggressive and snarly. He was use to being alone and for a long time preferred it to being around others. For a long time he would rather kill anyone that approached his home and property then even speak to them. But then he met San someone who shared a number of things like him and found himself falling in love. Nith is still a very aggressive and snarly but now he finds himself guarding over his new family along with his home and other property.

Short Summary of their plotline: San and Nith met by chance, having a very mix up of a meeting since Nith thought she was a rotting body he could eat, San thought he was her friend. After meeting each other everyday, finding out they had common interests, and falling in love San left her soul sister and herd to go live with Nith in his cave. Though yes, they have had a lot of ups and downs, fights, trials and break ups they keep coming back to each other and through it all makes it work. After finding out about her herd's offhand views on children and worth from them a big fight followed with Nith in thinking that if the foals were not strong enough San was going to leave them, finally ending in agreement that they would adopt the closest animal that reminded them of a kalona: A bear. San found her own cub after his mother had been killed, Nith found another cub why on a mission from his "Gods" in Norway. Raising the two as their own children Nith could finally see that San was a fit mother for any child. Shortly after San met a young mare who was wanting to bring back her human caretaker that had died, tricking the mare she used a rotting body tied to strings to act out the role of a mindless zombie, at the cost of course that the mare agree to give her first born to San as payment. After the mare had gotten pregnant and given birth San (With Nith following like a stranger danger) met up with her to take her payment. The mare tried her best to fight the deal but in the end lost, her basket was stolen and in a flash the two kalonas ganged up before running off back home to raise the new child. Since then San and Nith have had troubles with her getting sick and not being able to carry children till she is healed by a unicorn, which they are in the throws of now.

What is their family dynamics? Ohhhh goodness! Well first off this family is not your normal buntch. Both San and Nith would be raising the children, as well as San taking them to go visit grandpa and her "Soul sister" in her past herd and her family. San and Nith will be raising them around their normal means of not only living, sleeping, eating and so forth on dead bodies, but eating them as well. San is a warrior by heart and if the children want to she will be taking them with her when she goes to let off some steam by going to cause chaos, bloodshed, death, ect all in the name of fun and games as well as to please her voodoo gods. Even if they do see very snarly on the outside Nith and San would be raising the children in for the most part (When Nith and San aren't fighting) playful household do to San not wanting to let the house get boring again. Games like hide and go find the baby animal, wolfball, take the tail from the donkey would all be normal for the family to be doing at night if the children are getting too rowdy to say indoors. When they spend time with Grandpa he will bring them into the fold of his spook herd that lives at the center of a pumpkin path turned into a graveyard. The kids would also have to get along with their "Adopted siblings" of one regular named: Kolli, and two bears named: Baron La Croix, Fernis.

Traditions: Only San really has any family coming-of-age traditions, she gifts each one of her children with a small token from her horde of jewelry, if female it will match their personatily, if male it will act as a "Voodoo charm" to keep them safe and out of trouble. Each family member unless they want to sleep on the floor as to get use to knowing how to sleep on rotting bodies, as well as eat them for the main diet.
Herd/Family culture: Nith was left by his parents at a young age because he was not strong enough, San was thought to be left by her birth mother for her sister with the same reason. (The truth is it was simply because her father came to take is children back why Virus was off training San's sister, San does not know this and has come to hate her mother and sister from the event.) Because the two share the same bond both are very...relaxed in many ways when it comes to kalona standards on offspring, both do not fill like strength should play any matter in if you keep a child or not. If you give the child a good upbringing, training, and nudges to a goal the child will choose it's on correct path on it's own. Though that doesn't mean that the family's scary, often times gross, and creepy traditions could warp the child into something very dark.
Religious Beliefs: San and Nith have different views on religion, because of this no beliefs are forced onto their children. Why San is a voodoo/black magic queen, Nith is a norse dragon who wants to think himself as a viking in his past life.

If a Boy: I would think he'd be more charming, acting as the spokes person for the family. He loves the ladies, wooing them with his own creepy kinds of gifts, only to find that he abuses them mentally before leaving them in the dead of night. He'll be lazy like his father when it comes to anything in the lines of a job, wanting to chill when he is not off wooing others into his grip.
If a Girl: Something like the Wednesday Addams, very reserved, sarcastic, with an aloofness when it comes to death and killing. She'll most likely take after her father and be more aggressive if the right buttons are pushed, with her mother's side of her that will act like a brat or change things to get her way. She'll be taking on her mother's role of voodoo queen, though using more colder ways when it comes to dealing with people in need who come to her.

I try to really set in stone a new soquili's personality in roleplay, so these are rough ideas and could change easily!

If a Boy: Possible name Fafnir: Nith would probably be a bit rougher with a male child and teach his son be more dominate and aggressive. Then from his mother he’ll probably pick up how to be very cunning and playful in a vicious way.
If a Girl: Possible names Ayizan or Mystere: Nith as a father would be gentler with a female child and far more protective over her. She would probably be babied by her father and go sneaking off with her mother to do wicked things.

Amaya is not your average or stereotypical kalona. Despite her dominant kalona traits, she prefers to embrace her unicorn heritage, having lived with her unicorn mother all her life, and never having met her kalona father. While she is somewhat soft-spoken, she is by no means meek or timid; rather, she is a very proud individual- unless confronted with her recent transgressions. Regret is a companion that has continued to dog her steps, and loneliness is something she has come to accept over the course of her life, having been feared for what she is and shunned for what she is not. Previously, she would have confessed that her past experiences with relationships had made her wary of such attachments- at perhaps at one time this was true- but her newfound bond with Shyam is everything she had ever dreamed of having, and denied herself of hoping.

Shyam is not your typical soquili. If his physical appearance is a bit unnerving, with his spiral horns and molting wings, one only has to begin communicating with the stallion to realize something is very amiss. He is creature who can enjoy intelligent conversation, and is quick to call out an idiot or a fool. But at the same rate, he is . . . evil. Corrupt. Twisted. He has a strong belief that every good heart can be broken, that every soul has the possibility of being tainted. He has no fear of death, and regrets nothing. Shyam has a fondness for soquili flesh, and enjoys teasing his prey. . . in some cases, seducing it. Of course, he isn't a mindless killer and he harbors no prejudice against race, age or gender. He's an equal opportunity manipulator, a b*****d equally to one and all. Of course not everyone falls prey to his games and corruption. . . . sometimes all he wants is a good conversation, to play the part of someone normal and even kind. One should never trust his intentions, for his mind is shattered and his spirit condemned.

Short Summary of their plotline:

Shyam was once purely good. A great angeni, he was the elder brother of the current Angeni of Redemption, Kaiya. He loved the mortal world and did what the spirits requested of him. . . but then, one day, he fell for another angeni, Nimue. She was young and beautiful and he gave her his heart. She was seeking her true love, and while Shyam knew he was not it, her beauty overwhelmed him and he manipulated her. He loved her so that he defied the gods and the spirits, and worshiped her instead. They were mated, but Nimue's heart was never entirely his. Her soulmate belonged to that of another.

Unfortunately, Shyam's crimes were not unnoticed by the spirits. Cast out and corrupted, the spirits made him fall. He was physically twisted due to his love for another over the gods, and his memory wiped. No matter how near Nimue he was, he would never remember her face or name and never recall his love for her. While love burned in his heart, he . . . would never know Nimue again. Cast with chains that burn only him, the corrupted beast walks the earth searching for something. . . someone. . . . he remembers a female, and currently believes his fallen love to be Amaya, who IS his true soulmate.

Of all his corruption, of all his evil, there is only one female who is the exception. For all his evil, he keeps it at bay around the unikalona whom captured his heart. While he will still seduce and destroy others, he will not lay a fang upon his most beloved. . . She truly is his better half, and occassionally can bring out the best in him. He would live a lifetime fallen from grace so long as he has her.


Amaya herself has found it difficult to take the risk of allowing herself to love someone, especially one whom she has already lost control in the presence of- but from the moment that Shyam had made up his mind about her, the option of denying him vanished. She loves him dearly, though there are times when his darker nature is a bit more difficult to accept. She could never condone the slaughter of innocents, but she would no more change who or what he is than she could deny her own darker half.

She is thus far unaware of the actual circumstances of Shyam's exile from Heaven, and oblivious to the fact that he considers her as the one he knew before. Despite his vehemence that he would rather remain by her side than be anywhere else, Amaya fears that one day Shyam will gain his redemption, and leave her to wander these lands alone once more- though the thought seems too selfish to give voice to. She might be hesitant at the idea to give life to any child that might inherit a fraction of the burden that she has carried with the stigma of her mixed blood, but she cannot deny the desire to have a piece of Shyam here with her for when the time inevitably comes for him to leave.

In the future: Kaiya WILL seek out Shyam someday and try to redeem him. To save his soul, to prove to him that he is still made of good. But ultimately, Shyam will destroy his sister down the road. He will have the final laugh and prove to her, fatally, that there is no good in him despite what she believes.

Rise from the Ashes - After her shameful loss of control and the subsequent attack her bloodlust wrought upon the herd that took her in, an injured Amaya encounters Shyam, the Fallen, for the first time. Instead of the hostile encounter that they both expect, they come to find kindred spirits in each other.

Catch Me When I Fall - Unable to forget the short time she spent with a soul that she could swear had resonated with her own, Amaya finds herself repaying the debt that she owes Shyam for his care. An altercation with a family of winds leaves him at the mercy of gravity, but Amaya does not seem inclined to relinquish his company just yet.

Oh What Tangled Webs We Weave - Slowly recovering from the events of Shyam's fall and Amaya's rescue, everything grinds to a halt as the scent of blood taints the air and stirs a dark hunger. The event she had feared from the beginning slowly comes to fruition for Amaya as her kalona bloodlust overcomes her with Shyam far too near.

On Sleepless Roads the Sleepless Go - Having (unintentionally) abandoned the fragile ground that they stood on in her panic to reach her wayward mother, Amaya returns from her absence to find Shyam waiting for her.

What is their family dynamics? Amaya and Shyam are both solitary creatures barring their bond with one another, so their children will grow up with just them, instead of a herd. Amaya fears, above all else, that any child of hers faces the danger of inheriting her inability to control her kalona instincts- she has only just begun to learn to inhibit them herself, and would never wish the circumstances of her own childhood upon another. Nonetheless, she loves Shyam more than anything, and the idea of a child with him, no matter the dangers, would bring her such joy. Shyam himself has no particular experience with children, but has never been able to deny Amaya anything, and would likely protect them with the same ferocity he has her.

Traditions: In Amaya's family: Healers, when they come of age, are most often given hair and tail adornments, while Protectors earn their mask and armor.
Herd/Family culture: Amaya was born to a long, proud line of pure unicorns, a Clan that was divided into two classes: Healer and Protector. Those with an aptitude for healing were trained by the elders at a young age, while the others were trained in harsh physical regimens to be the defenders of the Healers. Her mother, a talented Healer, was the daughter of the head Protector. Despite the unfavorable circumstances regarding the rumors of her birth- after all, her father was a kalona- Amaya's mother raised her with nothing but love and kindness, shielding her as best she could from the cruelty of the Clan. Amaya had an older half-brother, born of her mother, named Kaitou, who was a young prodigy of the Protectors and her grandfather's favorite. He was the youngest in generations to earn his mask, and young Amaya dreamed of one day earning her mask as well and protecting her mother, even though her status among the Clan made that impossible. Her own mask and armor was a parting gift from her mother, symbolic of her own belief in her daughter rather than the official title of the Clan. The Clan itself is bigoted and xenophobic, and Amaya strives to leave all of the meager teachings she gained from there behind her.
Religious Beliefs: Shyam was once a soldier of Heaven, but after being corrupted by his obsession with Nimue, he was cast out by the spirits, and made to live a new life in sin on Earth. He is still a firm believer in the gods above, but regards them with contempt, rather than the love and devotion he once had for them. Amaya, oblivious to the exact circumstances of Shyam's fall from grace, only thanks the spirits that her Fallen angel was sent to her, though she does not display the religious fanaticism that her unicorn lineage held in such high regard.

If a Boy: Confused by his mother's insistence against his father's wanton destruction, this foal will have a skewed sense of right and wrong. Unable to tell exactly why he should be feared, but uncaring of the life that his ways threaten, the young colt will struggle with himself to find the right path- or perhaps the wrong one.
If a Girl: Amaya's desire to raise a daughter in her mother's image will be split in half when the girl confesses a desire to have earn her mask, like her mother and uncle. Brash, reckless, and unwilling to admit to danger, the filly will be a little whirlwind of unintentional destruction.

Short Bio
Fei is a somewhat complicated mare. While not outright cold or rude like her father, she prefers to keep to herself and maintains silence in the presence of most others. It is rare for her to speak without prompting- and rare for her to speak with prompting, for that matter. She dislikes words without meaning or significance, with the belief that something should only be worth saying if it is important, meaningful, or with purpose- actions, in most cases, speak louder than words. She is not unfriendly, however- if one were to make their way past her silence, they may discover she is quite fond of intellectual conversations, and not above offering her honest friendship to those deserving of it.

Short Bio Personality: Megaera has grown close to her new, adoptive family, but has been sure to keep close ties to her two real sisters Alecto and Tisiphone. Megaera alone is a fiery, formidable filly. But together, they are a force to be reckoned with.
Never get on Megaera's bad side. She carries a grudge for a very, very long time, seeting with spite and hatred until vengeance has been met. And ultimately, never, ever break a promise to her. That is the fastest way to her bad side. As twisted as Megaera is, she holds vows to be sacred, written in stone. Perhaps as an influence from her mother - while Megaera's morals might be... skewed... she is unbudging in her view of one particular thing being sacred.
Megaera isn't all bile and bite, however. When approached respectfully and in a friendly manner, she isn't prone to attack unprovoked. She is suspicious of soquili from outside her herd group, however. She is also not the brightest soquili - while not stupid she is simpler and blunt. She doesn't care for elaborate wordplay and can grow confused or frustrated (or just flustered) with a more verbose soquili. Her sister Alecto is the brains of the trio, and she tends to let her do the heavy thinking. Tisiphone has a lot of common sense/wisdom despite her freaky appearence; Megaera is passionate. She is also the only one of the trio actually capable of flight. She trusts her adopted brother Taraxippus immensely, and he is the closest soquili to her aside from her sisters and daughter, Psyche.
History: Megaera is the foal of Brigitte and Ramoth. When Brigitte became unexpectedly pregnant after her encounter with Ramoth, she, in her addled mind, didn't exactly comprehend what had happened. Sabin had been keeping an eye on the strange mare, even if she didn't exactly permit him to get very close. However, when he noticed her pregnant belly, he did the job of procuring baskets from Kamiki and collected the newborn foals (with the help of Taraxippus distracting Brigitte) when they were born.
Megaera's sister, Tisiphone, was given to Kamiki while in the basket - as Sabin didn't have the means to take care of THREE new foals whil still watching Arcana and Taraxippus and the little usdia Gavin.
Since she emerged, Megaera has been welcomed into the strange herd with open 'arms' by Anju, and Taraxippus has made no secret that he has high hopes for his new little sister in comparison to Arcana.
Megaera's opinion of Stallions from outside her herd is one of mistrust and skepticism. One time when she left her herdgrounds she met a flutter that had a way with words and talked sweetly to her - which she was unused to and made her feel oddly good. However, when he left her with foal, she was furious at how he had taken advantage of her, and she excercized her anger on him. However, later, when she bore the foals, a maternal side awakened in Megaera. Psyche is her pride and joy, and truly makes her happy. Even now that Psyche is grown, Megaera has softened a little bit.
Now, Taraxippus has introduced her to Sheol, a stallion with strength that he believes that Megaera might once again dam foals with - and this time be prepared for motherhood, adding strength to their herd.

Short Bio Personality: Sheol is not the nicest of stallions, not by a long shot. He has an incredibly short temper, he's quick to fly into a rage and he cares very little about the well-being of any of those around him. The only thing he cares about is satisfing his own dark urges. He enjoys testing his strength in fights, so despite his cruel streak, he isn't really one to pick on those that are weaker than him. There's no sport in beating up a weakling, but there is in challenging a Soquili who looks just as strong as he does. It pleases him to see others kneel before him.
History: Sheol doesn't remember much of being a foal. He doesn't know who his parents are, or even why that is the case. He never stays in one area for very long. Once he's found and defeated a worthy opponent in one area, he'll move on to the next. His relationship with Megaera is purely sexual. He cares nothing for foals, or love. He just needs to let off a little steam now and again.

Short Summary of their plotline:
Tian was in a relationship of sorts when she met Duke. She never meant to fall for Duke and after having a fight with her first love, she breaks it off and runs to duke. While duke's been trying all this time to win her over eventually he does. (plot's a work in progress)

What is their family dynamics? Tian will be the major one to rear the foals into adult hood. While Duke will try to be in his foal's lives as much as he can focus on, there will be times when they will be without their father. Duke has a half sister who'll most likely want to lend a hand in bringing up the foals, and Tian's family while large as it is will probably be buzzing around from the time they're born. Their grandparents Merashik and Sena will be there to watch them when needed and their great grandparents Albert and Meru will gladly fawn over them and fill their heads with stories of all sorts.
Traditions: There's only really one tradition that's been passing around for Tian's family . That's that every member of the family is granted one item from their grandparents and great grandparents. It's how Tian got her beloved bow and leg guard. It's these gifts that they're given in hopes that the little ones will live long and prosperous lives filled with good fortune.
Herd/Family culture: While technically not a herd, Tian comes from a close nit family that is large enough that it might as well be a herd of it's own. The culture for it happens to be built around protecting those that you hold dear.

Ai'Jin's came along with her two brothers, Zul'Aolani (2) and Jumanji (3). As a foal, Ai'Jin was excitable and very playful. She spent great amounts of time roughhousing with her brothers and exploring her surroundings. Despite her explorations, Ai'Jin never managed to cross paths with another Soquili, her only acquaintances being family members yet.
As an adult, Ai'Jin mellowed out considerably. While exploring still captured her attention a great amount of the time, her relationship with her brothers became a little less dependant. Never entirely alright with spending so much time on her own, she spent time with her mother and halfsister, Kahili (1). The family ties are a great deal to Ai'Jin. Her explorations brought her into the company of a stallion by the name of Eros. Though both seemed shy at first, their walk together brought them very close. Despite the arrival of the foals so early in the relationship, Ai'Jin was more than comfortable with Eros, and he was shyly introduced to the family.

Arya is kind of a mystery. She can be hostile, and is rarely kind although she has a pure heart. Her second name - Erebos - is the name of the God of Darkness, so she really enjoys roaming about at night and despises the daytime. She may seem sweet and kind, but she has a dark twist, and thinks lesser of soquili that are below her.
Her favourite game other than to hunt is to toy with people's emotions, and make them feel as though she has a particular interest in them, whereas in reality she does not. Aware of her moth-like, ghosty beauty, she uses her looks to her advantage to lure people in and mess around with their psyche.
Despite her overwhelming independence, she wouldn't mind having a male companion to talk to about her endeavors and experiences. If she were to take on a lifemate, there would be no other stallion more suited for her than Cormorant.

Born to the leaders of the Miakodo herd, Io is a curious girl. She is learning the art of her natural healing ability from her father, Maion, and her aunt, Misaki. Along with learning how to use her natural abilities, Io has also found a shaman, Abiron, that travels the land and uses herbal remedies to help cure others from illness. Io will be apprenticing along with Abiron once she is old enough to travel from her family lands.

Personality: Diogenes is stoic, strong, and generally silent. He isn't brutish by any means, but he can be blunt and doesn't see the point in games or deception like his sister Grimoire. He's not intimidated by anyone and when he gets in his mind to do something there's little talking to him. He's a bit jaded because most Soquili he meets outside his herd regard him cautiously because of his large size and obvious kalona heritage.
History: Diogenes does not know his father, as Arcana gave birth to him and his siblings without his father's knowledge. He was raised in Anju's herd and has currently found no reason to leave. When he was a foal he was small and fierce and grew an almost Napoleonic complex. However, when he reached maturity he bulked and grew at an alarming rate. Discipline from his mother was impossible as the soft-spoken Arcana was unable to control him as he rapidly outgrew her in strength and size, and Arcana sadly had to learn she had lost any and all influence or control over her son.

Short Summary of their plotline: Diogenes was injured after a confrontation with Ethan, a half-brother that he didn't know he had. Ethan eventually retreated, no match for the large and bullish Dio, but not before leaving him with a few cuts from the scruffle. Io found him, and decided to help heal him.

This surprised Dio, who was not used to getting such kind treatment, especially sense he's large, gruff, and stoic. But Io was kind and soft-spoken... almost good to a fault and soon Dio began to grow possessive of her. He's got it in his mind that he will let her stick around, determined to corrupt her 'perfect' outlook on life. Though, he doesn't realize it yet himself, he has fallen quite in love with her: convincing himself he's just using her.

Io, on the other side of these, knows there is more to this gruff stallion that he lets on. She is letting Diogenes think he is "playing her" but she knows exactly what he's trying to do, and by letting him think he has the upper hand, she feels she can bring out his best qualities and eventually open himself up to happier things in life.

Zainan, their oldest son started to resent and have some hatred for a mare that single-handed raised him and his brother Zaiden. Zainan is confused about why he began to resent his mother and hate her somewhat for what happened between her and Pilgrim so he fled to his great-aunt Frosta so he can finally begin on his journey.

Short Bio Amitorlin in a shy, quiet mare. She avoids contact with most Soquili if possible, but if she's approached she's polite and soft-spoken. Her voice is barely above a whisper at anytime. Being a kirin, she's extremely aware of the life energy of those around her. She never kills anything if possible, including plants, so she prefers to eat fallen fruit whenever she can. She it resorts to it, she will nibble on leaves and the tops of grasses in moderation enough it doesn't interfere with the plants' lifecycle.

Short Bio Sequoyah has changed tremendously since his youth. When he was a baby, he was pampered and doted on by his mother, Stormwild. But as he grew up, she grew closer to Balrog and eventually became his mate. Balrog hates non-flying Soquili and though Seq was allowed to stay in the Thunderbird Herd of a while, it was causing strife between Balrog and his mother. Finally, Sequoyah made the difficult decision to leave the Thunderbird Herd voluntarily: a decision that crushed his mother, but ultimately made her herd stronger and more united.

Sequoyah took all the flightless "misfits" of the Thunderbird Herd (and his best friend, Xandir) and made his own informal one at the base of the mountains. Things have been quiet and peaceful for years, even raising a few fillies together with the help of his friend Xandir. Though recently Sequoyah has been eager to sire a child of his own...not adopted, but made from his own blood.

Xandir, who considers Sequoyah is lovemate even if Sequoyah isn't ready to quiet label their relationship in quite so rigid terms, is very uncomfortable with this, as he's afraid Sequoyah is going to fall i love with the mother on his children.

Short Summary of their plotline: Amitorlin was a shy, quiet mare that lived across the river of the Valley Herd (Sequoyah's informal herd). For months, Sequoyah and Amitorlin did nothing but exchange smiles and shy glances to each other from far away. But as Sequoyah's desire to start a bloodline grew, he decided that Amitorlin would be a perfect candidate. She was beautiful and exotic looking, and seemed sweet and loving. Eventually he gathered up the nerve to cross the river and invite him to join the Valley herd, which she agreed.

She also agreed to mother Sequoyah's children, much to Xandir's detriment. She knows Xandir loves Sequoyah and doesn't want to come between them; but she also knows Sequoyah won't be happy until he fathers a foal on his own. Amitorlin believes that once the children come, and they raise them all together in a loving Herd environment, that Sequoyah's restless desires will settle down, and perhaps he can go back to his quiet, content life by Xandir's side.

Short Bio
Forbidden is a wild mare. Wild in the sense though that sometimes she isn't all there. As a flutter her one of her main food sources comes from flowers and she knows this but it doesn't stop her from grinding the flowers under her hoof if she thinks that there is something wrong. Most of the time it's in her own mind and nothing is wrong. She was like this for a long while until Nivuxys found her. He'd stumbled across her secluded place and she chased him off - but he kept returning. Eventually she gave in and allowed the stallion to slowly but surely gain her trust. With Niv in her life she isn't as wild as she was.

Short Bio
Nivuxys was raised by two foal-like parents. You'd think that in turn, he'd be rather foal-like and irresponsible himself. However, with his teepee's whole "it takes a village to raise a child" type motto, he became a very well rounded adult. He takes great pride in the things that he loves: his home, his family, and his mate. He's level-headed and always able to make decisions that he feels will be best for all parties involved. All his life he's known only kindness and understanding. The teepee in general is a very friendly place. They'll take anyone in refuge and let anyone leave who feels they need to.
Most recently he's chosen to leave the teepee to live with his mate in her secluded home and start a family. So far in RP, he hasn't told his grandmother (Midori, the head of the teepee), but she'll gladly accept it in return for semi-often visits and news from him.
