Obsydian had bid Zahariah a fond farewell when he left to visit his adopted daughter. she had missed him greatly in the weeks that had passed. She knew he would be home soon and she very much looked forward to his return. She had news for him. She had grown very large in the past week alone and now she was 100% certain she was with foal. Her joy overflowed and she could not wait to tell him. She also wanted to see her sister, Luna and tell her of all the news. She missed her sister. She felt tired and decided it was time for a nap. She had been doing alot of that recently, and so she amde her way to the top of the hill. It was Zahariah's favorite place and she had taken a liking to napping in the afternoon sun atop the hill.

Zahariah appears at the mouth of the forest, taking in the familiar scent of his mate because he knows that she is more likely to stay at their home to wait for him to come back just in case someone want to try to take this part of the property over. He automatically looks at the hill, seeing his mate fast asleep on top of the hill basking in the afternoon sun.
He grinned to himself as he trots up toward the hill, not noticing that Obsydian is bigger than before. When he reaches to the top of the hill, he leans down and nuzzles Obsydian's shoulder gently and whispers, "Hello love.. miss me?". He promptly laid down next to his mate and snuggles with her lovingly, genuinely happy to be back home with his mate.

Syd had been having a loeely dream of a beautiful summer day and the lucious green grass and foals frolicking in the daylight, running through the flowers in the meadow. Their foals. She slept soundly with a smile across her muzzle. The dream however was interrupted with the whispering of tender words in her ear and the familair feel of her mate laying beside her.
Syd awoke to see Zahariah had returned and was snuggled into her. "Zah! I missed you dearly." She nuzzled him softly and then she remembered the news she had for him. "I have something to tell you my dear Zah." She smiled at him and snuggled back into him, rolling a touch to expose her now large belly.

Zahariah grins gently as he watches Obsydian waking up, he nuzzles her at the same time she nuzzled back. He was very content with just sitting there and revel in the warmth and love that he is currently getting from Obsydian. "I miss you too, my heart. Oh? What ne-....." He trails off as he stares at the big belly of Obsydian. "Wha...."
"Are you telling me that I am going to be a father?" His eyes widen as he stares at Obsydian with shock yet excited expression gleaming in his eyes. "Oh my gosh..." He whispers as he automatically nuzzles her stomach. "We are going to become a mommy and daddy... !!" He excitedly says as he nuzzles the stomach more before he nuzzles his mate lovingly. "I love you so much.. you look so beautiful"

Syd could only laugh at Zah's initial reaction. Happiness was plastered all over her face as she miled rather widely and her eyes twinkled with joy. She nuzzled her muzzle aginst his cheek and burried her face in his mane as she nibbled his ear. "Yes my love. It seems you are to be a father. I was just having the most wonderful dream of our foals playing in the meadow"
She giggled at his still so shocked reaction and expressions, but when he nuzzled her stomach she burst out in laughter and kicked a leg out. "oh you're tickling me Zah!" She chuckled at the stallion's excitedness over the news. "It should not be long now. They are due soon. " She took in all the tender affection he gave and the compliments, enjoying every moment of it.

Zahariah murrs happily at the nibbling Syd is doing on his ear, he tilts his head to side and leans against her muzzle. He smiles gently at Obsydian. "Our foals...." He let the words slide around inside his mouth and finds that he really likes the sound of "Our foals" "Wow.... I just can't believe it! I just came back from visiting my adopted daughter whom wants to meet you whenever you feel like seeing Christabel."
Zahariah didn't know that his nuzzling is tickling her until he heard her giggle and feeling her leg kick. He laughs as he nuzzles her again for a good measure before he moves his muzzle toward her neck. "Ah?? So I did get back in time to see the babies being born?" He excitedly says as he beams widely. He definitely do want to get up and shout to the world that he is going to be a papa then dance around in joy.

Syd smiled and then sighed softly, content where she was, snuggled into Zah. "Well I would love to meet her but I'm not sure ttravelling away from the meadow with the foals due so soon is a good idea. Would she be willing to come see us here? I'd be happy to have her around if she likes with the foals coming and all."
She had already had her bouts of mood swings so she was sure Zah's adopted daughter would not be subjected to her temperamental mood swings now, and she was sure they were very near to the foals's birth. Having another female aroound would be kind if ncie. She dearly missed her sister but it seemed Luna hadn't come to find her as of late.
She smiled and nodded, leaning back into Zah's warm body again. "yes just in time I think. They could come any day now."

Zahariah grins lightly as he looks at Obsydian. "She is nearby, my sweetheart. She followed me home... she is right there.." He points to the spot in the forest where the sun hits the golden coat of Christabel. "I can go over and get her to come over. She is very interested in meeting you and will be thrilled to hear that she is having half siblings coming soon."
Zahariah just merely nuzzles Obsydian and whispers against her ear. "I will never leave your side.. not now.. not ever." He whispers affectionately to his mate and he smiles at her.

Syd's ears perked when Zah mentioned Christabel being so near. She looked to where he pointed out and caught the glint of a shiney golden coat in the trees. "Oh Zah! I would love to meet her. Please do go bring her over." Syd smiled, happy to finally feel like she had a real family around her. It had been so long. She and her sister had been abandoned and only had each other but she had not seen Luna since they were foals really. She began to wonder if Luna had abandoned her too.
But now was not the time for such thoughts! This was a happy occassion. "She nuzzled Zah tenderly, happy to hear his comforting words.

Zahariah smiles at Obsyidan and whispers to her that she is going to meet her now adopted daughter then he gets up almost hesistantly because he doesn't really want to leave his mate's side. But he trots over to the spot of the forest where Christabel is currently hiding. "Boo, Christabel. Come out and meet your new mama." He grins crookedly at his daughter whom just slowly stepping out of the forest.
Christabel blows out some of her ebony black hair out of her eyes before she smiles at Zahariah. "Obsydian, is it? or should I just go ahead and call her mama?" She murmurs as she is being led back toward the hill while she spreads her strong wings away from her body and flaps them to get rid of the debris that fallen on her when she was lurking in the forest.
"You can call her either. I think she would love to be called 'mama' though. And she is pregnant! You are going to have half-siblings coming soon!" Zahariah grins excitedly as he prances around in front of Christabel as he walks up the hill with his daughter trailing behind him.
Christabel laughs as she shakes her head in amusement at her father's antics. "Thats wonderful! I can't wait to meet them...!" She giggles before she finds herself in front of Obsydian. "Hey mama...Its my great pleasure to finally meet you!" She says pleasantly with a smile on her face.

Syd smiled and nodded at Zah, watching him as he went to retreive his adopted daughter. She watched as the young golden alicorn stepped out of the forest. What a lovely young mare she was. Zah had raised her all by himself? Syd was more then impressed so far. She watched as the two headed back towards the hill.
Syd smiled and laughed to herself as she watched Zah's playful antics. He was indeed a happy stallion and his energy was being passed to her. Syd smiled and nodded in greeting to the lovely mare. "And it is mine to meet you my dear. Zahariah has spoken so much fo you! and with so much pride. You are so much more beautiful then his words described though." She would have stood to meet Christabel but she was tired and her legs felt weak.

Zahariah promptly sat down next to Obsydian once again, obviously is proud of his daughter and the fact that Syd looks like she likes Christabel which is a big bonus. He laughs and blushes when Syd commented that she heard so much about his daughter from him. "But of course!! I am so proud of her.. and just like I will be so proud of our foals, my heart." He smiles gently at Obsydian.
Christabel smiles at the sight of Zahariah being all gentle and affectionate toward his mate. "Why thank you, mama! I think I should kick Zahariah for lying to me. You are so much more stunning than what his words have described you. I am really glad that you are my papa's mate because I know he needs someone like you to keep him on his hooves." She giggles at her father's sheepish grin. She sits down in front of them and smiles more. "So do you have names picked out for the foals, mama?"

Syd chuckled at Zah. Who knew the stubborn silver stallion she had first met that angered her so much with his insults, would turn out to be the love of her life and such a wonderful stallion and mate? It had all happened so fast but then, there had always been something about him and those golden eyes of his that had drawn her to him and intruiged her. "And so you should be, they will be lovely foals indeed! I just hope they don't have my temperamental streak, that could prove difficult in raising them." She nuzzled him and laughed softly. She had pretty much raised herself and she vowed to herself she would never abandon her foals like she had been.
Christabel's words caused Syd to burst out in laughter. "Oh my darling if you only knew how we met. What a story it is indeed! I think I knocked him of fhis hooves there for a bit, eh Zah?" She grinned and her eyes twinkled with mischeif as she nuzzled his once lame leg. It was only a temporary injury of course and now was healed and strong. "Oh I'm not sure...I'd kinda like to see them before I name them. That way they have a name suiting to how they look and their personality" She smiled at the young mare. Indeed a fine young mare Zah ahd raised, and all by himself. A part of her wondered whay Christabel's story was...was she abandoned too?

Zahariah tries not to look like he is disturbed by the thought of the foals being temperamental just like his mate. He definitely don't want to go through the 'initiation' stage with the foals again because he knows that the foals could bite, kick, throw temper tantrums that could give Obsydian run for her money. He chuckles softly as he nods in admittance that Obsydian actually knocked him off his hooves.. sometimes literally.. sometimes verbally wise. But it was battle well-won on his part in his opinion, he firmly stuck it in there and kept his ground while earning her respect and trust as well.
Christabel arches her eyebrow at the statement coming from the pregnant mare as she stares at her father. "She knocked you off your hooves?" She tries her best not to grin widely as she is very amused. She glances at Obsydian with a curious smile on her face. She definitely will have to get this female alone and get her to dish about how this actually went down because she would LOVE to hear about her father being taken down few pegs. "Ooou... that is very good way to do this, mama. Very smart.." She beams at her new mother proudly before she boldy leans in and nuzzles Obsydian. "If you have any questions about me.. please feel free to ask because I know papa here won't be able to field all of the questions at once." She teases lightly.
