Obsydian expressed her craving for berries to her mate Zahariah and he was more than happy to go out and gather berries because he wants his mate to be happy and content all of the time. The silvery stallion set out with a small wagon he stole from a travelling group of humans because he thought it is a very interesting thing and he observed the humans tossing things in there so he thought it would be useful to him and his beautiful mate Obsydian.
Zahariah is very careful when he is gathering berries of variety from blue raspberries to blue berries so majority of those berries are still attached to twigs. By midday, the wagon is almost half full and he is quite pleased wit himself but just now, he realized that his throat is SO dry and he is having hard time swallowing because there is not enough spit to keep his mouth or throat dry. "Ugh.." He mumbles as he drags the wagon to the lake as he dips his head to drink a water. Figuring that Syd will understand why he took too long, he decided to just rest there for awhile before he could make a trek back home to his beloved mate.

Chikotae was out flying most of the morning, surveying the land from the skies above. But it soon became hot and humid as the noon day sun rose and made itself known. Deciding he could cool off in the lake nearby, he made a wide arced turn in the air and swiftly headed for the water.
He loved to land in the water on hot summer days. It was cool an refreshing he found and of course washed all the sweat off his moonstone and red colored coat. However he was aware his favorite place to come in for a landing was being occupied by a silver stripped stallion, lazing about in the sun.
He came in over the centre of the lake as usual, sending water spraying on all sides as his hooves found the ground beneath the water. Quickening his pace as he landed he proceeded to fold his wings, only to at the last moment go wide eyed at the sight of the unsuspecting stallion in his path! But it was too late now to deter course.
The moonstone stallion tried to avoid trampling the stallion and ended up smashing into the cart full of berries, thus being covered with the juices of many berries, not to mention many berries sticking to his mane and tail. A funny sight to anyone watching, but not so funny to Chikotae at all. Anger bellowed as he let out loud cursing and his reddish-brown eyes glared at the silver striped stallion.

Zahariah sighs in relief as his throat doesn't feel like it is going to crack open on him but he drank more, just in case because he is covered in sweat as well. Seeing a shadow of something flying above them, Zahariah looks up just when the winged stallion flew out of his line of vision and shrugs while he steps into the water to cool his legs off with a blissful sigh.
He figured that if it was a kalona or a dragon, they wouldn't fly by because they usually like to terrorize others and kill them so he is safe... so he thought. Zahariah quickly dips his head under the water and jerked his head up, sending the water flying all over the place. Blinking the water out of his eyes, Zahariah's eyes widen when a winged stallion landed in the water and is heading RIGHT to him.
"s**t!!" Zahariah turns around as he tries to move out of the way but he forgot he had a wagon 'strapped' to him so he accidentally positioned the wagon in the rapidly approaching stallion's path. He tries to move fast but the weight of the wagon slows him down and there were a bone-jarring collision of the winged stallion with his wagon which tipped over, covering the stallion with berries and berry juice. He yelped as he almost toppled over with the wagon but vine rope managed to snap just before he could fall down.
Zahariah swiftly turns around and glared at the moonstone stallion. "It is NOT my fault that you decided to be a clout and knocked over my wagon." He snarls at the moonstone stallion as he bristles while he grabs one edge of the wagon and yanks it back to upright position. "You should pay attention to where you are going! Now you are going to help me pick those berries." He firmly says.

Chikotae shook his head as he got to his feet finally, trying to shake off the dizziness. "Not your fault?" He sneered when the silver stallion's words hit his ears. "You and your stupid contraption were in my way in MY spot! " He tried to pick berries out of his tail, sighing in disgust that they were matted into his mane and tail firmly. "Great, its gonna take weeks to get these out of my mane and tail."
His eyes blazed as the silver stallion ordered him to pick berries to replace the ones lost. "Like hell I am. Your fault for being in my spot jerkoff. Its you who should be picking your goddamned berries out my my mane and tail! " He stood his ground and refused to do as the stallion was ordering. "No one rules me a*****e. Pick your own damn berries."
He continued to pick at berries in his tail. Finally giving up on it as he could not reach them, he waded into the water, trying to wash the berry juice out of his coat.

"Your way? YOUR spot?" Zahariah echos the stallion's statement incredulously as he laughs mockingly at the stallion while he pulls the wagon away from the stranger, not wanting the b*****d knocking it over AGAIN. "I am sorry to break this to you, sweetheart but the spot I was standing in wasn't yours at all, it was for everybody so deal with it." He smirks at the stallion, becoming immensely amused at the stallion's dilemma.
His burnt gold eyes narrows as the stallion's attitude reminds him of Obsydian, and the females in his line with his mate and he looks the stallion over, noting that he have similar runes as Syd and moonstone colors of Syd's mane. Zahariah froze as the puzzles clicked in his head as he watches the stallion scream at him and waded into the water. "You were the one that landed in the water and went into MY way so therefore its your fault." His voice becomes more softer as he starts to wonder what kind of relationship this stallion have with Obsydian.
Zahariah shot the stallion an arrogant smirk as he flexes his muscles, and circles around the wagon. "There is a waterfall nearby. I will show you IF you help me pick the berries up, my mate, you might know her, will kill me if I don't bring them back." He casually says as he watches the stallion intently for any reaction.

Chikotae ignored the stallion's echos of his statement until he tried to lay claim it was for everyone. He sneered and spat angrily at the stallion, words dripping with annoyance, "Yes, MY Spot. I come in here daily. Everyone around here knows not to stand there this time of day or risk being trampled, you dumbass bafoon!" He turned his back on him, trying to ignore his presence.
Hearing the stallion continue to speak to him, his ears flickered back and forth as he stubbornly refused to turn and face him. "And what makes you think I want your help? You likely know s**t about getting berries out. Why on earth should I help you...I hope she does kick your sorry a**" He was irritated with this stallion, who now seemed to think mocking him was amusing.
"Like I said, pick your own damned berries....and whoever this mate is...I doubt I know her. I only know those my father introduced me to when he found me abandoned as a foal. " He turned his head to look at him with blazing eyes, refusing to move from where he stood.

Zahariah arches his eyebrow at the stallion as he shot back with a comment about how everyone around here knows not to stand there during this time of a day. He chuckles as he shakes his head at the stallion while he pulls the wagon further away from the lake. "Obviously, not everyone knows that tidbit of information since I come to this lake on almost regular basis." He retorted as he sidesteps around the spilled berries, leaving them there because he thinks that his mate deserves the best which means no berries on ground.
"Take a good look at me, stallion." He smirks as he flicks his tail as he looks at it casually. "My mane and tail is so soft and smooth... and berry free." He breathes the last words out, obviously mocking and riling the stallion up because he wants to know if this stallion is actually part of Obsydian's family line or not since the colors are eerily similar and the temperaments.. he could be a Syd's son and he wouldn't even know it! His goal right now is to figure out who the hell the stallion standing in front of him are and what to do with him if he is part of Syd's family line.
"Then you don't know Obsydian? Or her sister Luna?" Zahariah's eyes glitters as he stares at the stallion with so much intent. If this stallion is related to Obsydian in some way, Zahariah will have to find a way to drag this a** back to Syd because he knows that Syd would love to know her family once again.

Chikotae snorted at the silver stallion. "Then you're dumber than you look." He waded into the water a tad more, using his wings to dip into the water and trying to drop it on himself...but it was not working so instead he decided to lay in the shallow water and roll around, thrashing legs in the air for a few moments before returning to his feet.
He was soaking wet, waterlogged so to speak, and full of berry juice. So he decided to move forward close to the stallion, a flicker of menace in his eyes as he suddenly shook himself off, spraying anything that flew off him at the striped stallion. Smirking with satisfaction, he retorted, "Not so soft, silky and berry free now are you fairy boy?"
He made his way past the cart and spilled berries before stopping, having successfully gotten some of the berries out of his mane and tail, but some were far too knotted and matted in. "Who in the blue hell are they? Should I know them?" He quirked a brow. Why on earth did this stallion insist he must know his mate or her crazy sister?
"Apparantly you need to clean your ears out jerkoff. I said I was abandoned as a foal or did you miss that part?" He was really growing annoyed with him now, but a part of him wondered...why was he asking. Was there something this stallion knew that he did not?

Zahariah looks amused as the stallion doesn't seem to get that Zahariah might be a regular around that lake, he isn't a regular during this time of a day but he chose not to comment because from his lessons with his mate, its always better to just focus on other things than insignificant arguments. He sighs as he eyed the broken vine strap, wondering how the hell he is going to fix that now.
He gave up on trying to figuring out how to fix the vine strap so he could go berry picking after he figures out who this stallion is Just when Zahariah turned his head toward just in time to see that stallion moving closer to him and he eyed the stallion warily. He yelped when the damned stallion suddenly shook himself off, getting some berry juice and water on him and he instinctively backed off few steps with a snarl. "Fairy boy? Is that the best insult you can come up with?" Zahariah sneered at the stallion as he flicks his tail back and forth. "At least I have a mate that is willing to help me get the berries out." He smirks at him smugly.
"...Are you telling me that you do not know them at all? From what my mate Obsydian told me, Luna is a moonstone winged female, black hair, blue runes up her front legs.." His eyes looks at the stallion's blue runes pointedly as he eyes a now familiar looking male in front of him. His attitude shifted little bit as he could see that the stallion is very annoyed and possibly confused (that's how he looks at the stallion's moods).
"I think you are Obsydian's nephew." Zahariah softly says as he turns his back on the stallion, walking toward the wagon once again. "If that's the case, then maybe Obsydian can answer questions you have about your mother's side of family." He glances over his shoulder at the stallion. "I am Zahariah." He is not expecting the stallion to believe him or tell him his name but.. never hurt to try right?

Chikotae gave him a smirk as he reacted to the fairy boy comment. "See I don't need a mare's help, I'm stallion enough to do things for myself. p***y. From the sounds of it, she 's the one who should have the balls hanging between her legs. " He was amused with taunting the stallion and the encouragement for more taunting. "Whats the matter hmm? Did she bite them off? "
He chuckled to himself softly, his eyes reflecting a flicker of amusement. But it was short lived. Annoyance took over his expression once more as the silver stallion would not leave the topic alone about his mate knowing him somehow.
"I'm pretty sure that was the words out of my mouth. Get your mate to clean your ears too while she's at it hmm? " But his ears cocked at the description of his supposed....mother??? He snarled angrily. "I have no mother. The b***h left me to die as a foal and IF I ever see her again, I will kick her in the teeth. " His voice seethed and dripped with a venomous hatred.
He paced back and forth. Various thoughts were running through his mind. His only question would have been why....and he did not think this Obsydian could answer that. She wasn't his mother after all. He was so lost in his thoughts and hatred, that he did not hear the stallion voice his name to him.
