"Truth is simply a conception..."

Beneath his mask, Hideki's eyes widened as Zenos grasped his legs on his final assault. This was impart to his grabbing him and the fact that Zenos was right, he had broken his tibia of his right leg, the fibula of his left, and injured his muscles within his right leg from the broken tibia being pushed up towards his knee in his right leg. Zenos grabbing his feet only made this hurt even more. He then clenched his fists together and let out a loud guttural yell and sent them down towards the man. This was all for naught, for, as it would happen, Hibiki's tornado swept them up into the air. Hideki was knocked around but was held fast by Zenos until Zenos let him go. Hideki shifted to look to the man and attack, but he was grabbed by a tendril of sand.

Locked in place, Hideki growled, his voice echoing out from under his mask. Hideki struggled to move towards Zenos, however his Mask's time was ticking down to its final seconds. His strength was slowly leaving, and having his mask out and using so many attacks had drained his reserves to an extent. What made him all the more hateful of the situation is having to watch Zenos activate his Segunda Etapa. Growing ever more powerful within attacking distance and being able to do nothing. What Hideki was not thinking out, and this was probably due to his primal thinking in this form, was what would come of it. The steel cables that would replace his sand bindings made Hideki howl in pain as they wrapped around his broken areas.

When Zenos placed his finger upon his chest, directly over his heart, Hideki's mask would crack before shattering and dissolving into small black pieces of Reiryoku. Hideki's sclera would, from the outer edges, shrink from black to white and at arriving to the iris of an icy silver-blue to a deeper blue. Hideki was panting and had beads of sweat upon his brow as he stared at the incredibly short boy in front of him. His skin changed back to its normal color, his feet and hands returned to normal, getting rid of the claws, and his breathing was labored. Hideki scoffed at Zenos' last question, not entirely sure what the answer would be, or could be, and simply let his eyes close, awaiting to die. There was nothing he could truly do to stop the man at this point. Little did Hideki realize, until it was released, that Zenos moved it the other side of his chest. When the deadly Cero was released, it tore through Hideki's body with ease, blowing away all that was his right arm and lung, and part of his liver.

Hideki would spew blood from his mouth upon loosing such a large part of his body mass at once. In addition, he would begin to twitch at random intervals. His eyes became dull and a look of utter pain was frozen upon Hideki's face. Just as soon as all of this happened, the binds that held him were loosened and he dropped all the way down to the ground, slamming into the ground and bouncing before settling onto the ground. He was not dead, but he was in an absence of mind, as if in a coma. Blood would seep out onto the floor as his body lay upon the ground, his whitened strip of hair dyed red, and his face looking towards Hibiki, mouth agape and pain written upon it.

Sakuya wasn’t the least bit surprised Hei had managed to counter her attack, after all he wouldn’t have such a reputation if he could be killed by something as simple as that. She was surprised, however, to see him get serious enough to use his Bankai immediately to counter. She had figured his arrogance would cause him to constantly underestimate her combat prowess until she managed to catch him off guard and cause some form of injury. It didn’t seem she would get the luxury of being underestimated however as Hei launched a formidable counterattack that threatened to turn her into nothing but dust in the wind.

Acknowledging the fact that she couldn’t fight against Hei’s Bankai in her current state as his immense Reiatsu was already dulling her movements, she opted to unleash her full power. As the beams neared her, Sakuya closed her eyes and said,
“Segunda Etapa,” barely above a whisper. Literally milliseconds before her certain death, both her swords shattered into nothing and a hard covering spiraled around her until it encapsulated her entirely. The beams would impact just as the shell was finishing, however they would do little but scratch the surface of the seed pod which then dropped into the lake at alarming speed embedding itself in a crater in the silt at the bottom. The pod’s purpose was to protect Sakuya, who’s Segunda Etapa transformation was lengthy due to the nature of the changes it imparted upon her physically. Inside the pod Sakuya was curled into the fetal position as her body began to grow and change. Outside, the pod had taken root in the bottom of the lake and was now beginning to grow.

The defenseless Sakuya was protected from almost any form of attack in the now growing rose by bud save that of Reiatsu pressure. While Hei’s pressure was intense to say the least, it was only dulling her for the moment, but the second Yuki’s pressure was added to the mix, Sakuya nearly slipped away and died even before her transformation finished. Indeed had Yuki been any closer or held her power for any longer, Sakuya’s heart would of stopped under the combined onslaught, however, she was lucky enough to endure the pressure long enough for it to drop back down to an acceptable level.

As her transformation completed, there was now a giant rose extending up from the lake. At the top, the rose bud remained closed for the moment. It then began to slowly open, but instead of just folding open as a normal rose would, the petals began to flow down and gain transparency while a glowing orb that was essentially a miniature star began to rise up from the center of them. It was then that Sakuya’s form could be seen standing from amidst the unfolding petals. When she reached full height it could be seen that the petals were actually part of her skirt. This was Sakuya in her truest form, seen for the first time. The most notable and curious change for the attentive observer was that her Hollow Hole was no longer present.

Fully formed and finally free of her cocoon, Sakuya raised her head and opened her eyes letting their striking blue color take in the world. As she did field of roses extended from her position in all directions out to a radius of 300 feet.
“Kousenkanfu Tokokinho,” she spoke, and then the field of roses, the miniature star, and the remnants of the giant rose that had been the vessel of her transformation all disintegrated with a sudden gust of wind as they were delicate sculptures made of loosely packed sand, some of the grains forming a pair of katana identical to her unreleased Zanpakuto on either side of her. Sakuya then held her hands out to the side, taking the tsuka of her swords in hand as two orbs appeared behind her and hovered their momentarily before flying over her shoulders onto the blades where they formed a covering of raw energy. “Now that I am ready for the ball, shall we dance, Hakase Hei?” Sakuya taunted as she readied her swords in a stance that favored a parry-counter style of combat.

=========================================== Arian Aes ===========================================

User ImageAnd the flames left the pitiful earth
Filled with ash it lay scorched and dead

Arian was tired, that much was certain. He had gotten used to incinerating his opponents in one blast that despite his insane endurance, he wasn’t used to drawn out fights. Nu seemed to be able to stand up and continue her assault despite her grievous injuries, which Arian deemed was impossible as his attack should’ve knocked her down for the count, even with her mask. However, it was then that it dawned upon him that they had a healer within their ranks, and though he wasn’t certain how much of his opponent’s vigor was restored, or if any were restored at all, he knew that he would be fighting a losing battle in his state.

As Nu rushed towards him, Arian felt the sudden presence of their Captain-Commander, and though this was far from debilitating for him, it served as a reminder that there were others besides Nu that were fighting against them. Even if he did manage to survive their fight, if he were drained of stamina he’d be killed right away by her comrades. Staring at the flickering image of the Captain as she sped ever onwards towards him, Arian deemed the situation dire enough to release it. It was then that Nu reached her striking distance, aiming and successfully delivering a powerful uppercut at his chin while her two illusions advanced behind him, it mattered not at this point what they were going to do as Arian already knew which one was real. The painful sound of his opponent’s metallic arm colliding with his own, before the forced carried over to his flesh and bone told him this was the real Nu.

Due to such a powerful and blunt attack, the lower regions of Arian’s helmet began to crack and fall apart, eventually revealing the charred and bloody flesh underneath. As the mouthpiece of his infernal helmet came off, Nu would most likely already see his lips, the two sides seemed to be fused to each other due to extreme heat. Shockingly, the ream where his mouth was supposed to be began to tear open, allowing Arian to speak ”Segunda Etapa.” came the abominable voice, a far cry from Arian’s normal voice, it seemed to gargle and strain as if something was blocking his throat. However, his voice didn’t matter at this point, as soon an explosion literally ripped out of Arian’s body, blasting away the debris around them and cracking the weak earth as it swept through a fairly small area. From the epicenter of the explosion emerged Arian’s fully released form, an armored tail swung around his back, whipping the air before it struck the ground. His bulky armor was now replaced by a glowing hot carapace, and most notably, were the wings of fire that erupted out of his back, spreading themselves in the air as their radiated heat seemed to cause the air to dance and distort. His face, once encased in a bleak obsidian helmet has now taken on a monstrous visage, his mouth gaping open and creating a disquieting breathing. Arching his back, Arian breathes in a large volume of air, super heating it inside his body’s furnace, before letting it out in a powerful roar, dislodging some of the loose rock on the ground and sending them flying into the air. At this point, if Nu hadn’t already vacated the area she would most likely be sent flying off her feet.

Continuing the roar, Arian released the entirety of his spiritual pressure, causing it to cascade down towards the majority, if not the whole of Soul Society. His presence, though not as intimidating as Ori or Zenos, would be enough to cause a feeling of hell amongst those of weaker spiritual pressure, making them feel as if the very air had been tainted by a burning fire.

Kenpachi Kōdo

11th Division Captain

The Senkaimon that had lead the Shinigami and Vizard back to the Seireitei had been invisible for quite some time now; this was naturally to be expected since the gate was not in use. However, the two sliding Japanese doors unexpectedly appeared, shimmering into sight before they slid open to reveal a tall, muscular man with short, black hair. Kōdo stepped out of the Senkaimon before it shut behind him and put his hand to his mouth to remove the butt of the cigarette that had long since gone out and carelessly flick it onto the ground. For the moment, the new captain appeared disinterested in the situation due to the lax expression on his face and the way he held himself. This was partly true since he didn't particularly care about the fate of the Seireitei, but it was also false because he saw this war as an excuse to go all out; he'd fight all of these pansy-a** Sephira if he had to. While it was true that he had already been part of the Gotei 13, he had unfortunately been absent during the primary invasion on the Seireitei, opting out of attending a wedding which was the least of his concerns. By the time he had gotten wind of the battle through Asami's mouth, the Shinigami had already retreated and a few days had passed. Kōdo was greatly annoyed by the fact that he had missed this battle and it had taken days for him to get over it. Meanwhile, he had to fight the overpowering urge to return to the Seireitei on his own terms and fight the Sephira; it was only on Yuki's orders, which had been passed along by Asami, that he did not do so.

He had sat idle for over a year alongside training himself as usual, until finally he could no longer accept this period of doing nothing and sent out word to Asami that he wanted to see her. About a month before they returned to the Seireitei, Kōdo cut down and slayed his captain in front the entirety of their division, then took her Haori and title for his own. The reason for his lateness was because it took him this long to return to the Captain's hideout, hoping to find Yuki and inform of the change in ranks in person, but he missed them by about half an hour it seemed. Kōdo managed to locate Tsukiko and learn where the others had gone, and then left for the roof of the apartment building in order to arrive here. Though he didn't look it, Kōdo was brimming with excitement and anticipation, which was quickly brought out by the feeling of Yuki's Reiatsu washing over him. He was barely affected by it since his was only slightly less than hers, but it did serve to draw out his thirst for blood, causing him to crack a grin teeming with madness. "Who then..." Pressing down on the ball of his foot, Kōdo used his leg strength to quickly run towards the areas the fights were being held. Since he lacked the capacity for Shunpo, he had to adapt his legs to keep up it's speed, which he had done quite well to the point that his insane foot speed allowed him to vanish from sight just like a Shunpo. As he ran towards the fights, a trail of cracked earth and dust was thrown up in wake until he came to the foot of a building rather close to the fight between Tetsunosuke and Jacques. Without stopping, Kōdo jumped straight into the air, cracking the ground beneath his feet, and soared into the air and landed on the roof of the building, pausing only to get a feel for the Reiatsu of the Sephira.

"Who then, is the strongest..." Grinning madly, Kōdo's eyes roved over Jacques and the other Sephira as far as his eyes could see. Then, by using the psychological effects of his Reiatsu, he projected it into Zenos' body, creating the illusion that he was being stabbed in the neck by a blade. "Is it you?" He asked excitedly, even though he was hundreds of yards away from the Sephira that had just taken out one of the Captains. Kōdo was about to consider Zenos as his opponent when he suddenly felt Sakuya's aura drifting over to him, her feel marked her as equal to Zenos, and she seemed more interesting. "You! AHAHAHAHAHA!" As crazed laughter escaped his mouth and filled the air, echoing across the area, Kōdo suddenly shot away from the building which blew away his footing and scattered tile and dust everywhere as he flew through the air. He landed on the ground several feet away from Tetsunosuke's and Jacques' fight, but dashed off before he either of them could get a good look at him. Navigating his way through the Seireitei, he finally arrived at the lake to see Hei and Sakuya facing off. With little concern to her current opponent, Kōdo swiftly drew his blade from it's scabbard on his back and shot towards her in an instant, putting himself directly in front of her while he grinned at her with glee. "Hello." He greeted her, his words dripping with blood lust, and then with a single hand, brought his nodachi down upon her right shoulder with a single swing of unimaginable speed, strength, and precision.

"Speed is "weight"... "

"Tch. Stubborn brat." Hei let his hand fall back to his side while he watched Sakuya emerge from her pod after using it to defend against his attack. On one hand, it had obviously been threatening enough to force her to use Segunda Etapa by the looks of things, which said a lot about his power in relation to hers. On the other hand, he would have been happier if she had just died right away, that is, if he were at all capable of such an emotion at the moment. "How annoying, just die already." He was a bit unlike himself at this point, seeing as how his mad scientist side had yet to surface, and anyone who knew of him would recognize this much. However his thoughts were elsewhere, namely on his sister, and at the moment research on Sakuya was far less important than being at her side. She was becoming even more annoying than the likes of those brats Lee and Hibiki. With an agitated sigh in response to Sakuya egging on, Hei slid his right foot forward and stepped off the ground, fading into a Bankai-augmented Shundō, which was at least three steps higher than that of his Shikai, and six steps above his Shunpo. Hei faded out of it a split second later, reappearing to her front as the light from a yellow-tinted mass of blue Reiryoku began to pulsate in his left hand.

"Kaeraito Keijōmane-kō: Sōre-" Even though he was in the midst of drawing his hand back and releasing the Bankai-augmented Sōren Sōkatsui from his hand in a Kamehameha-style wave as the first part of his attack, a sudden movement out of the corner of his eye caused him to strike the air with his left foot before he could get any closer to her and jump back. Just as Kōdo appeared between them, Hei, with his eyes widened in general surprise, lost control of the Sōren Sōkatsui and let it fly into the air until it eventually collided with the barrier surrounding the Seireitei. "Who is that...?" Hei's expression slipped back into the norm as he managed to catch a glimpse of Kōdo's haori before he attacked Sakuya. "11th Division. That's not Asami... Whatever." Regaining his composure, Hei turned away from the two and abandoned his fight with another Shundō, letting this mysterious latecomer take care of what he didn't want to deal with in the first place. Hei headed towards Yuki and Ori, as well as the ever watchful Aurelius, whom he half-expected to encounter today anyway. He arrived just in time to witness as Ori moved to return the favor to Yuki, whom had already entered her Sayō no Anya form. Since he was within range, Hei extended a hand and manipulated all of the ambient light particles in the surrounding area to converge on an area 60 feet in radius all around him, seemingly giving the air a molasses-like consistency which allowed Hei to knock down the body speed of others by four levels and their foot speed by two levels, not to mention everything else would move slower as well.

He timed it so that he could move to intercept Ori's attack before it could hit her, which he did, appearing just between them as Ori moved to release his lightning bolts, albeit slightly slower than he probably intended. As soon as he arrived Hei braced himself, moved his hands in front of his chest and turned his palms to face Ori just as the lightning bolts came out; he knew enough about Yuki's own lightning form to know what was coming next, and knew the metal in his bracers would conduct it. He took the attack head on in her stead, and though the bracers covering his arms and hands served to lessen the damage as well as the heat, his hands and part of his forearms turned up burned to a degree beneath the cover of the bracers themselves. Gritting his teeth and breaking a sweat as the attack ended and finished electrocuting his body, Hei pushed his hands away from his chest, using a last-second Bankai-augmented Sho-like burst of concentrated light to forcefully scatter Ori's body if he was ethereal like Yuki's lightning form was, or forcefully blow him backward if he was solid. Either way, it would buy him a few seconds to at least say something to Yuki. "Damn I hate lightning." Looking backward to his sister, he cast her a small grin through the pain of the residual shock coursing through his body; he couldn't feel his arms by this point, much less the pain of the burns, which meant they were 3rd degree or beyond. How he was going to fish out his regeneration serum at this point was beyond him. "Lightning and heat. How long... do you need... for it?"

It does not seek anything in return; it asks not whether you are friend or foe.
It gives of itself and is not thereby diminished.

"I figured as much..." She thought, as she glanced at the positive streamers, tell-tale bolts of lightning that appeared where lighting was to strike --something she was trained to notice--, that appeared near her head. Noting that Ori had donned a lightning form similar to her own just as he had done with fire, she prepared to sweep her foot around and land a solid kick to Ori's ribcage by cancelling out his lightning body at that single spot. However, the sudden realization that Hei was right behind her and between them caused her to halt her foot in mid-air before she dropped it and spun around to meet him before he used light to blow Ori away from them. Due choice and not a time limit, her Sayō no Anya unraveled and the darkness left her body by peeling off her skin and clothes and floating into the air where it dissolved as it drifted away. Although he was asking her a question, her general concern for him when his concern for himself was absent caused her to look down at his hands instead of answering him. Her eyes were blind to the damage to his arms and hands due to the bracers covering them, but her other senses were not; not only could she sense the cellular damage with Rei's help, but she could smell the burned flesh as well. Of course, both of these were basically useless since she held a great deal of common sense, and lightning burning flesh was pretty common knowledge.

"Dummy..." Her cheeks turned slightly red as she thought about how he had protected her even though she was fine; he hadn't changed a bit, and probably never would. "You didn't have to do that, I can take care of myself." Fumbling with his hands, he took them into her own and turned him to face her as she closed her eyes and cast Zenji on him to fully heal his arms. She was still holding him by the time she cracked her eyelids and stared down at his hands, refusing to look up just yet. "You went and got yourself hurt. Baka, stupid, idiot, fool." She muttered softly; her words were harsh, but negated by the soft, worried tone in which she had spoken. "Don't do that again." By this point she was done healing him and by extension, restoring his Reiryoku, so she lightly pushed him away from her before turning her head to look to Ori. "Ten minutes, I suppose..." Past her bangs, the blushing woman looked down at the Tekkō adorning her arms. Instinctively, she moved her hands to rub her wrist just above the top of the Tekkō on her right arm, trying to alleviate some of the discomfort that came with wearing the Tekkō. They weren't exactly comfortable, probably just another slap in the face added on to the inevitable coma for having the chance to use such a powerful Hadō. "But not yet, it'd be better to dwindle his Reiryoku down some more before using that." Finally, she looked to her brother and returned his grin from earlier with a soft smile. "What do you say, fight with me?"

The winds will blow their own freshness into you,
And the storms their energy,
While cares will drop off like autumn leaves.

Jacques could feel the others around him fluctuating their spiritual pressure. He stands up from the kneel he had landed in, and watches Tetsu get back on his own feet. Jacques chuckled, not to laugh at the Vizard, but because he found it so interesting to fight a Vizard. He wasn't surprised at the speed of this Vizard, already reacting as the scythe came up. He side-steps, twisting around to stab at him, but slashing his scythe away instead. Jacques deflected the scythe again using his blade. Under Jacques' mask seemed to be a flow of dark green, and then the mask would flip back to to launch the Cero from his mouth. As the Cero wrecks forward, Jacques' mask closes and he follows right behind the attack. He rushes forward and just after the Cero's blast, Jacques launches to Tetsu and aims to impale him up through his neck this time. He wanted to see the reaction of this Vizard when he life truly was in peril.

Lee watched her react with quick reflexes to his attacks moving off the ground and releasing a royal blue cero to cancel out his byakurai. Following her with his eyes as she moved to the side via a air walk combined with a dash Lee watched her launch a volley of bala towards him. Dashing forward towards the incoming bala Lee ignored them for the most part as they hit him without any visible damage thanks to his armor of reiryoku surrounding his body. He even simply slapped a few aside as he closed the distance towards the clone unknowing. If not for the sound of her falling through the air towards him for a kick Lee would have had a potentially deadly attack landed on him. Reacting on pure instinct he rolled to the side narrowly avoiding the kick. The moment he popped back up however she went on the offensive sending a jab for his face that he narrowly dodged by moving his head. Seeing her quickly follow through with a knee with crushing force, Lee made a split second decision and stabbed forward at the same time, the increased cutting power from his blade would easily cut her. The stab was aimed for her rapidly approaching stomach. Given that he didn't have time to dodge her attack and attack at the same time he took the knee.

Moving at the last second to try and minimize the damage Lee felt the bone crushing knee connect in full force to his left side. Gritting his teeth he was reminded of the force from one of Hei's strikes that he had taken at one time. Hei's strike was stronger, but that didn't mean that her strike was weak. It was enough to steal his air for a moment or two. Seeing the orb of reiryoku surround her and not knowing what was coming Lee thrust his hands out in front of him. "Danku." The barrier erupted between them and took the incoming attacks without cracking. Using shunpo he moved away only to find a gran rey cero heading towards him. Thrusting his left hand forward he released a surge of water that would collide with the gran rey cero without the power to actually cancel the attack out however he allowed water to come from below and surround him in the middle of a wave of water. Like this it would allow him to avoid the burning portion of the cero and was all he could do in such a short time. It was becoming quickly apparent he would need to use his bankai soon. As the attack hit him he felt almost the full force of the gran rey cero hit him, and despite the water, burn his skin slightly. Wincing in response he immediately started getting in a state of mind to ignore the pain and keep fighting.

"Bankai, Tsunamihime, Himi." Using the technique to freeze his sword and further increase it's cutting power ever so slightly Lee prepared the rest of the upcoming attack. Using another Sekienton to hide his movements Lee took the brief moment to initiate a plan. Yuki's pressure fell on him instantly and for the entire time it was released he was completely immobile. When it was over he sent a hido out so it looked like he was charging forward, Lee then waited long enough for her to use her pesquisa. He figured she would use it to make sure he wasn't planning another invisible bakudo. Then with shunpo he disappeared moving behind her hopefully in secret, and once he was behind her stabbed forward in one swift and precise strike to hit her heart. If his sword connected he responded immediately by using a Tsuzuri Raiden on his sword to electrocute her and maybe paralyze her for a second or two. Preparing another attack in a split second Lee held his left hand towards her back. "Senjū Kōten Taihō." Releasing the hado at pointblank range Lee then dashed backwards to escape the explosion. Hopefully she didn't have a Segunda Etapa. That could prove to be dangerous. Still if all else failed he was more than ready and willing to use the strongest hado he knew. Even if it did result in his physical exhaustion and possibly his death if it ******** I hate this post. Message me if something needs changing)

「人は...大切な何かを守りたいと思った時に本当に強くなれるものなんです」

As the blow connected, the loud clanging of metal hitting metal rang high in Nu's ears, and it was only because that Nu witnessed Arian's normally sealed mouth began to move to speak something that she took the precaution to retreat, her instinct perhaps saving her life. As she was running, it seemed whatever Arian was speaking commanded an attack of some sort, as debris began to suddenly fly, Nu herself being pushed by the shock-wave, hitting and rolling to the ground until she came to an eventual stop. Groaning, she pushed herself up, her legs still rattling, until she saw the monstrosity that was her newest opponent. Instead of armor, the man was now some beast, tail and wings the most prominent feature. He was giving off such an intense heat that the air around him seemed distorted, usually seen in deserts. As he reared his head back, Nu took the initiative and covered her ears, though it only lessened the sound of the raor that more rocks in the air. More then that was the force behind it. Nu was a fire type user, and a Vizard Class Captain, but the amount of pressure the beast was giving off was simply ridiculous. Not the lethargic sense of Yuki, nor the constricting feeling given off by Hei, but the feeling as though the world around was burning, as though she was in Hell itself.

To stack up her odds further, it appeared as though all previous injuries were gone, though it was hard to tell what was injuries on that fiery carapace. It was now in her neature to run, but considering these odds, it was becoming clear that this was getting impossible to win. It seemed that over the time skip he learned quite a few moves, no exactly good news for her at any rate. Physical confrontation was out of the question, limiting her to only lightning related moves and kido. It wasn't easy to find, but Nu quickly ran behind the closest building that wasn't burnt to ashes, those types of building becoming quite rare now that Arian decided to go all out. Her head peaking over, she waves a hand, already incanting as fast as she could. "Limit of the thousands hands, respectful hands, unable to touch the darkness. Shooting hands unable to reflect the blue sky. The road that basks in light, the wind that ignited the embers, time that gathers when both are together, there is no need to be hesitant, obey my orders. Light bullets, eight bodies, nine items, book of heaven, diseased treasure, great wheel, grey fortress tower. Aim far away, scatter brightly and cleanly when fired. Hadō #91: Senjū Kōten Taihō!" To better distract Arian, she sent a clone to rush him while she ran further away from him. Hopefully the air around him would be distorted enough for her to make her strategic retreat without much problems as the clone kept getting closer, a kick aimed for his stomach. As the spears came raining down, she allowed herself to look back, only to see if the spell connected. She hated to resort to guerrilla tactics, but the scale was clearly not in her favor presently and she needed more time to think. If she had known he could have done this, she would have saved her Mask. It was foolish of her to allow this battle to drag out this long. If he still held the ability to regenerate, then she would have to keep using tactics like this until she wore him out. Hopefully a transformation like this would sap some energy.

[Why did I post this at such a odd hour? xD
Blah, sorry Dante for making you wait!~
Curse you and your transformations!

Hibiki Kirisho
- Squad Nine Captain -

================================================

The demons flocked

Noticing the fact that their attacks did nothing to even harm him, Hibiki guessed Zenos’ body was being protected by something other than Hierro, as by this time his Kizashi fragments should have already reduced the Sephira’s Hierro to absolutely zero, no matter how dense it may have originally been. As the cyclone that was supposed to knock him out proved utterly useless, Hibiki could only curse as his eyes strained to make out what Zenos was about to do. The Captain’s eyes managed to catch a shining glimpse of energy amassing at Zenos’ fingertip, before it vanished seemingly into thin air. Acting purely on instinct, Hibiki managed to push himself away from his current area, or rather where he expected the Cero to come flying through. But to his surprise the beam never passed as he had expected it to. Instead, the ground below him suddenly erupted in a powerful and potentially fatal blast of reiryouku, bathing Hibiki’s silhouette in a blinding light that seemed to have disintegrated him completely.

However, from the torrent of energy came out Hibiki who, by some miracle, managed to escape the majority of the attack by using a Shunpo to push himself away from his area, allowing the blast to propel him outside its own scope. But he wasn’t exactly unharmed, as his body dropped onto the ground below, crashing with a thud Hibiki breathed heavily, the entire upper half of his clothing was nothing more than a length of leather that remained from his jacket, and one leg of his pants was ripped apart, revealing the bloody mess his other leg was in. By now he was more or less completely lame in both of his legs, one from the fact that it had its kneecap shattered by Zenos, and the other because its flesh had been severely damaged by the blast.

Dripping blood and sweat, Hibiki lifted his head back up to where Hideki had previously been, and amidst his now crestfallen white hair partially obstructing his vision he was able to catch the disquieting sight of Zenos as he blasted a Cero Oscuras at point blank range from Hideki, ripping apart his flesh and bone before the metallic bindings that held him allowed him to fall to the ground with a sickening thud. Now utterly dumbstruck, Hibiki stared at Hideki’s deathly eyes, he had seen enough action movies to know he wasn’t going to get up from that one, not without aid from a medic like Elisia, no, probably even Elisia or Yuki herself would have a hard time bandaging up to save his life, let alone fixing him so he could go on fighting.

Entirely demoralized, Hibiki’s eyes widened as he felt an insanely powerful reiatsu pressure sweep through them, the feeling was utterly hellish and he was forced to up his reiatsu output to its maximum just so he wouldn’t be debilitated by it, and even then he still felt like he was breathing it sulfur. Though he didn’t know who the reiatsu came from he knew full well that it meant combatants from both sides were going all out against their opponents, even Zenos used his Segunda Etapa, and Hideki used his mask.

”Use it.” came the triumphant voice of his hollow, echoing throughout Hibiki’s mind. He didn’t need to say another word, Hibiki had no willpower left to resist, it was either kill or be killed, and he was determined not to die before here, not until he made Hei pay for his crime, and certainly not against someone he was able to beat. It was decided, he’d throw away his pride to survive this war and see that traitor die. Slamming his left hand onto the ground, the cyclone that still persisted near Zenos’ area began to fluctuate wildly, shifting back and forth from its Fujin and Tengu form. Palming his face, Hibiki amassed a great deal of abominable reiryouku into his hand, before he turned it and swiped his hand across his face in a scratching mortion, summoning his Vizard mask in one swipe, a monstrous looking headpiece that seemed to be a completely different entity to Hibiki.

Before even a nanosecond passed by, an insane amount of reiatsu came crashing down into the majority of Soul Society, with Hibiki acting as the epicenter. The reiatsu pressure felt like a ravenous gale, antagonizing one’s every movement, hell bent on dragging one’s limb to one direction and one’s other limb into another completely opposite direction, as if it was attempting to tear one apart. Lifting his head up and staring Zenos down, Hibiki let out a frightening guttural roar, at the same time condensing the entirety of his reiatsu into a single target, Zenos himself, most likely paralyzing the Sephira while at the same time suffocating him and overriding his brain’s sense into thinking he was being torn apart by the hellish winds. With another roar, this time tainted with pain, Hibiki forced himself to stand up, opening up all of his wounds in the process. Amidst the heavy breathing, Hibiki mumbled a Kido incantation, before he spoke aloud its name ”Bakudo #98: Jiborensa.” he called out, materializing the black chains the effectively bound Zenos in place. Without a word, Hibiki then caused his Bankai to enter its Kizashi mode, piercing Zenos from head to toe in glass-like shards. At this point he already knew it would be ineffective, however the fragments were merely to act as channel points for him to use Su.

Disappearing from his place far faster than one could normally blink, Hibiki appeared dangerously close to Zenos, for both him and the Sephira. Upon arrival, Hibiki quickly sent a powerful straight punch flying towards Zenos’ face, his Mokinrui shielding his fist from being damaged before it shattered. Knowing this, Hibiki merely used it as a distraction as he summoned the entirety of his Bankai into a single Uchiwa ramming straight into Zenos’ solar plexus. Hibiki didn’t know what substance Zenos coated his body in, but with the concussive force that the Uchiwa was capable he very well didn’t care. A single concentrated punch packed enough force to rival it with a bullet train, decimating an entire building in a single strike. Normally this would be enough to kill someone, but Zenos’ immortality, of which Hibiki managed to remember, classified him as an abnormal case.

Without skipping a beat, Hibiki divided the Uchiwa into two, one for each hand, and by the time the metal shrapnel from his Mokinrui would’ve allowed Zenos to see, the Sephira’s vision would be filled by Hibiki’s right hand, striking Zenos with a powerful uppercut. Letting a gargled snarl, Hibiki unloaded a series of powerful hooks aimed at Zenos’ head, the entirety of his physical force backing up each strike as his body arced with each punch. The Uchiwa’s pounding would be like a hammer at this point, damaging Zenos’ internal organs instead of focusing on cutting through the armored layer. After a series of strikes, Hibiki condensed the Uchiwa into his right hand and with a shout delivered a powerful haymaker straight towards Zenos’ face. Stepping forward, Hibiki switched his Bankai’s form into its Kaban mode. Immediately unsheathing the sword, Hibiki released the powerful gales stored inside, adding yet another powerful binding force that would by now absolutely paralyze Zenos. Wielding the sword, Hibiki pushed it straight into Zenos’ eye, maneuvering the blade in such a way that it would travel through the space above one’s eye. Once the blade was inside Hibiki sealed his zanpakuto before releasing it once more ”Cut. Bankai, Tenrai Kazeoni.” he released and reactivated Bankai once more, the violent release effectively dicing the contents of Zenos’ head. With a final animalistic roar, Hibiki activated its Asa no Kiri mode, transforming it into a sphere composed of three rapidly revolving circular blades, capable of slicing through any level of Hierro. The size of the sphere would allow it to slice through the entirety of Zenos’ body, before Hibiki launched it with a spiteful kick, sending it and whatever remained of Zenos crashing into the ground.

Hod Sephira
=========================================== Arian Aes ===========================================

User ImageAnd the flames left the pitiful earth
Filled with ash it lay scorched and dead

Snarling, panting and roaring, it seemed that the once placid form of Arian was now consumed by utter rage and gluttony. Amidst scarlet eyes the beast strained to find his prey, the very effect of his intense fire working against him, causing his vision to wave and dance. Growing more and more agitated, he began whipping his tail viciously against the ground, smashing rock and hurling small debris into nearby buildings, he had only one goal now to completely, and preferably violently, maim and incinerate his opponent.

Peering out into the area like a hound, his eyes finally registered something he could assumed was his opponent’s attack, several bright projectiles hurdling towards him like a hailstorm. Despite his impaired vision, he was also able to make out the blurred figure of a woman rushing towards him. Had he retained some trace of sanity he would’ve easily seen through this paltry ruse, but in his animalistic state of mind he could barely differentiate between the projectiles and the clone Nu sent to distract him.

Deeming both objects to be the same, Arian opened his fang-filled jaw, charging an unholy amount of black energy into his mouth before firing off an insanely potent Cero Oscuras. The scatter-shot nature of the spell made it so that Arian couldn’t target all of them, but he honestly didn’t care and simply aimed at what looked like the center of the spray and fired. Needless to say the clone was disintegrated upon impact, and so was the majority of the spell, however, the ones found on the outskirts of the spray area managed to evade destruction and whizzed by Arian, taking off scraps of his metal carapace before crashing into the ground.

From the gashes blood visibly flowed before it slowed down as the wound began to clot, the beast noticeably undisturbed by this. Letting out a feverishly high breath, Arian looked around to see if anything survived, and much to his irritation nothing did. Discontented, the Sephira let out a beastly roar, before attempting to move from his place, however a sharp and sudden pain in his gut caused him stop as he held his abdomen. Though it seemed like he had acquired a brand new body upon transformation, the wounds from his previous form were still there, still healing underneath the red-hot carapace. Sneering at his wound, Arian stomped on the ground in frustration as he arched his spine backwards, unfolding his bright infernal wings as he let out a resonating howl.

Then, slowly but surely, he began to consume his own wings, breathing them into his gut like water until only a mantle of fire was left in place of the once flowing wings. Utterly annoyed at his opponent’s absence he decided to simply level down each and every building in sight, literally melting them into lava. The attack’s charging complete, Arian let loose the torrent of fire, breathing it out of his mouth like a medieval dragon. Due to the fact that he had no idea of where Nu was, he simply fired it off in front of him, hoping that Nu was there. Once it blasted through the buildings immediately in front of him, he began sweeping it towards the surrounding buildings, much like a fire-hose, save for the fact that it would be the exact opposite of it.

Tetsunosuke Harasawa

Sixth Division's Captain

User Image

Tetsunosuke's face turned grim under the Hollow mask as his attacks were either deflected, or blocked. From under Jacques' mask, the Vizard saw the energy being charged. Tetsunosuke took the chance to ready his chains; he quickly loosened them with his left free hand, and allowed them to fall over his arms (the chain was tightened around his body so that only own loosed chain would allow better control over the whole thing). The Captain launched himself backwards with his feet; he got about ten to twelve feet between them before Jacques' attack was launched. Tetsu was hit dead on by the Cero, the energy would hit him then wrap around him; destroying his cloak thus leaving only his Shihakushō. Tetsu predicted what Jacques would do and moved the chain out in front, so that the link could catch the impaling weapon.

Using his superior strength, Tetsunosuke would hold the chain with both hands (mostly just being wrapped around his right arm); keeping it from impaling his neck, which was now just inches away. Grunting obviously came as he was pushing through what pain he had felt (his Bankai dulled his pain receptors); looking Jacques in the eyes, his own hollow mask's mouth was open. "That's exactly what I would have done, aach!" His voice strained as his muscles flexed. Tetsu charged his Cero at his mouth, and launched it point blank; the blast would allow him to Flash Step away some and change his scythe into a more suitable sword. Within two second, Tetsu had used a Gemelos Sonído that had placed him to the right of Jacques, and left an afterimage. His dilated pupils were visible as his Mask's mouth was breached open, exposing his actual mouth inside that was also opened; there was intensity in his battle cry. He came down on Jacques with his sword, in its Hone Ken form, in both hands; the full cutting force of the strike wouldn't be enough to cut through the Resurrección'ed Arrancar's Hierro. But he didn't care, the feeling of wanting attack Jacques head on had came over him. Tetsunosuke did not know if it was the adrenaline from the fight, or some combat spirit that had arose inside of him.

He felt on equal grounds with Jacques: him being an Arrancar and himself being Vizard. The spirit of the fight was realized as his sword slide over Jacques' armor. 'My attack may not penetrate his armor, but the force of my attack should knock him off balance,' this was the thought that went through his head as he prepared his next swing. Moving his left hand to a position that was in front of the right, he brought his sword back up from the last attack. During the quick successive attack, the battle cry that he had released was still being exhaled; showing speed of his attacks. His second strike was aimed for Jacques' head, the bone that surrounded his sword would break off as it landed on the Arrancar's mask. The armor would force his sword to side of Jacques' face as he followed it through with a Flash Step to the right put Tetsu behind him. Still sliding from the step, and his sword being held his in left hand; Tetsunosuke took his weight in his right foot and pushed with his left. He spun around, and at the same time prepared an attack; which was to jab Jacques in the back. The strike would hit, and feel like he had been shot with a caliber of a bullet that was almost able to pierce the body armor. The battle cry had ended after his Shunpo to the back side of Jacques; only a cold stare was left in his eyes after the attacks.

⋆⋆⋆ HAKASE xELISIA
yonbantaixTAICHO

Her eyes were dry now, although she had seen yet another scene of death, but the sign of her depression showed through the shaking of her hands and the devastated expression plastered over her face. Bowing her head in despair, she simply let Akane say his last words to Suzume, staring blankly at a random spot in the ground. The battle was still raging on as she still knew, but here, she could pretend that time had stopped for a moment. She had always known that this battle would bring many risks, including death, with it but sometimes she wished that she could have been able to die and get rid of all the pain in this way. Realizing what her train of thought had decided to go to, she hurriedly withdrew herself from that, knowing that there would be consequences, as with anything, for something like that. It was only when she was addressed by her married name that she lifted her head and glanced at him, her mind wandering over several things. A million words danced around her mind as she attempted to string together several to form a sentence that would offer some comfort to him, who would obviously be heartbroken now, but there was nothing to say in a situation like this and she settled on for a straightforward expression, “I’m sorry that I couldn’t do more,” before she clambered to her feet. She didn’t exactly want to leave them alone but she knew that firstly, he would most likely need some time to grieve and secondly, there were still healings that would need to be done sooner or later. Others could be dying and she might not even know it, which was something she wanted to prevent no matter what. She paused briefly before she left, bowing to Akane and Suzume before setting off at a brisk pace.

Relief was the main feeling that was sweeping through her as she passed by several groups of fighters, since their side did not seem to be taking too much injury at the moment and there were really not too many places that her skills were desperately needed. Yuki and Ori were two that she passed, firstly because she noticed that Hei was there as well and Yuki was a healer herself, meaning that Elisia would find herself being a hindrance rather than a help. However, panic echoed in her mind not shortly after as she caught sight of the bleeding and badly injured Hideki, her heart leaping out of her chest as it worked overtime. Her medical training kicked in not soon after luckily enough and she darted over next to him, casting a Ryubi no Jōmon to make sure that she did not become a target for Zenos, who was currently fighting Hibiki. As there was no time to waste and she doubted that easing his pain at this moment would help much, she channelled her energy into casting Zenji, which would seal up most, if not all, of his wounds. The time that passed as the wounds healed themselves, felt like an eternity to her and she frantically transferred blood to him by giving him a transfusion of her own blood and using Zōketsu as well. Her robes were by now soaked in red as she cast an Iyashi to ease the pain, waiting anxiously for his recovery. Gathering him up in her arms, she clutched his hand desperately, calling his name over and over again in an attempt to call him back to consciousness. He was alive, just barely, but whether he wanted to fight his way back or simply let go, was up to him alone and no amount of healing would help with that. Her tears, despite the fact that she had thought that she had cried enough already, were flowing down her cheeks at a ridiculously fast rate and her voice cracked as she begged him, “Please, Hideki, fight, don’t make me lose you as well…please…”

User ImageCho gritted her teeth as she and the flaming sword were sent sailing through the air by Kazuma's hand. Her feet scrambled to find some form of footing as she extinguished the her roaring flames mentally. In passing, her eyes caught sight of Shiruba's nails of light as well as she had to endure the sudden onset of her Sotaicho's reiatsu. The woman had probably entered Bankai. Cho sighed and righted herself at last. She did not want to use it but it seemed that she would have to as well as trust Baka to do as he is told. However, just as she was preparing herself to speak to the boy, Cho felt yet another Cero Oscuras being released and none other than Shiruba. Thankfully, despite her inability to get to him in time, the Fukutaicho was able to survive it. With her eyes still trained, she was able to witness his gradual transformation into a brilliant figure, another form of his Shikai, she assumed. However, he did not make a move against the Sephira, probably waiting for the other male to come to him. Cho did not have that kind of time, though. With a quick look around from her place in the sky, the sprite flew down to face Shiruba, her back to Kazuma completely. "Baka-kun," she started, holding his gaze, "I know that you are brave and it is for that reason that I am asking you to run. I will attack and kill him and I need you not to be here when I do that. After my first offense, leave. Even if you do not feel my reiatsu, keep moving forward. Only when you feel a faint resemblance, then you can come back. Do you understand me? I will have no control for the second phase of my offense, I need you not to be here for that. However, when you return, I would like for you to take me to my Division and protect me please." At this point, tears were forming at Cho's eyes. She had always thought that Eriko would be the one to christen this ability but we cannot always get what we want. She looked down briefly and the tears were flowing. "After the first, go. Return after the second. Run after that." With a final nod and a pat on the boy's shoulder, Cho passed her hands against her face to rid it of the leakage and began her walk towards Kazuma.

It was a deliberate stride if ever there was one. While taking these steps, the winds began to circulate around her, slowly at first but even they had to quicken their pace. "I am sorry that I do not know your name, Sephira. It was pleasure to battle against you but like I said, I need you to die if I am to save my master." By this time, winds were roaring against and around her in the form of a colossal sphere, moving only to gather speed. "Goodbye." Immediately, Cho jumped into the air and made a gesture as though she were throwing herself, body and all at the Sephira. However, all that happened was that the ball that had once housed her was now moving through the air downwards toward Kazuma. Stealing a second, she glanced back at Shiruba-Fukutaicho and shouted, "Now!" Once the word left her mouth, Cho faced Kazuma, not to see if her distraction had worked but, to complete phase two of her plan. "Eriko, I love you," she whispered softly in her mind before releasing her reiryoku in the form of a monstrous cyclone. As it gained destructive power, the woman shouted as loud as she could in spite of her voice being drowned out inevitably, "Tsugi no izure ka kara wareware ha tsu no karada toshite sora no ugoki ga teishi suru made odoru!" She waited a few seconds before saying the last piece to make this attack the most real thing that Kazuma had ever faced. "Tsubasa Sentou Ki: Watashi No Gifuto!" Her voice rang out with the last speech sound and the howling winds before it stopped. Everything stopped and with that, Cho and Eriko ceased to exist. Wind was all that remained for now. No one could time when the first hit landed but it did. It came from above, striking the Sephira down at the top of his head. From that hit onwards, four hundred and ninety-nine more rained down on the man's body with similar force and all in less than a minute. The subsequent alternating knee and elbow strikes moved all over his person from every inch of his face to his neck area to his ribs to his heart and guts and every other limb or body part that one could think of in that moment and more. When the five hundredth strike ended, the air was still once more but even that did not last for long as above heads, hurricane winds began to gather very quickly until a much more destructive compressed ball of air had been formed. It did not waste any time; falling immediately from the skies to crush Kazuma under its weight and power. Upon impact, the ball would decompress and unleash all of that habored kinetic energy upon Kazuma's already battered body. Finally, with that completed, natural winds resumed and Eriko's unconscious body appeared on the nearest surface possible. There, she waited for Shiruba to return like she had asked even if she did not know that she was waiting indeed.
