Debating the Next Step
"The Sage says that the next creature that we should consider battling are the Peisio dragons. It's a bit intimidating though, the idea of having to deal with something in the water." He didn't want to admit it to anyone but despite loving the water, loving to go on boats, loving to fish, and to just sit at the shore and watch the goings on, that he had no idea how to swim. Dealing with a dangerous, water dwelling dragon when he couldn't swim himself was a bit on the scary side, "I think we will stick to Eowyn for a while longer, is that alright with you?" He said, nudging against the growing Drakein now, something that had Abellio bumping him back before he gave a rumbling sound, nodding his head. He seemed to understand Junjie's fears and as such saw no reason why they should do anything that scared him, "Thanks, Abellio. I knew that you would understand. I can't say that it's something I like... I really should try to seek out someone to teach me to swim but... eh." There was no way to know if a person would actually be trustworthy enough to allow them to do such a thing.
He felt bad about having such a fear he had but really, what was keeping a stranger from playing nice and then trying to drown him later just because he was a hybrid? If he was going to ask anyone to teach him it would be someone he could trust, someone that he was already friends with, and he wasn't sure exactly who he should go to for such a thing. For the moment it was probably best that he just stick to Eowyn which was as far from anywhere that he would need to have such a skill to survive. He couldn't avoid the Sage's advice to prepare to battle the Peisio Dragon forever but he would put it off for as long as he was able.
Junjie found himself looking Abellio as he trotted along next to him, reaching over to help to adjust the cloak that the feathered Drakein was wearing, realizing that it didn't quite fit him as well as it used to. It even seemed to be a quite of a trial for him to hide himself under his cloak these days when things scared him, something that made him chuckle a little bit, "Huh... you're getting rather big, aren't you Abellio?" He asked of him, lifting a hand to rest it on his head for a moment, then lifted it up over his head to wave it back and forth, "Yeah, you're looking taller, wider, and probably heavier too, huh?" He mused, wondering if this meant that he was going to need to get him a bigger cloak. Yeah, most likely, "Do you want another cloak? A bigger one?" He asked of Abellio, something that had him nodding in the affirmative, giving the cloak a once over, a cloak that was much to small!
Junjie gave a thoughtful sound in his throat as he thought about Abellio's new cloak. Hm, that meant finding another merchant wandering around the area that they were staying. Given that they were mostly wandering between Eowyn and Ayr, the latter of which he went to only to visit with the Sage, meant that they were going to have a bit of a time finding a merchant. They would need to find another one with a caravan like the one that Esmeralda had chewed out. It would take some searching but he supposed that if he was going out there looking for the Firani that he could keep his eyes open for a merchant as well, either one would be a bit on the difficult side to find but he felt like he could do it. Giving Abellio a smile he said, "I think that if we keep our eyes open that we will be sure to find one." No reason why they wouldn't, not as though the caravan merchants were impossible to find, he just needed to figure out their routes, that all. From there it was just figuring out when they would show up next and 'poof' new cloak!
"Come on, best that we head on our way and see if we can figure out where the caravan merchant will be next." He told the feathered Keindred who gave a crooning sound of agreement, falling into step beside Junjie, bumping into him from time to time in a playful manner, tail swishing, helping to lighten the mood considerable. While Junjie was a bit worried given that he wasn't quite ready to go out and do as the Sage had suggested he prepare for Abellio was there to sooth his his worries, to let him know that things were alright, and otherwise perk him up. It was a bit as though the tables were turned, "You know not long ago it was my job to sooth your nerves and now you are helping to sooth mine. Does that mean that pretty soon you will be the one carrying me?" He asked, a question that was met with a snort from Abellio, as though he didn't care for that idea at all. The snort caused Junjie to start to laugh, patting the Keindred on the head, "Alright, alright. Another time though." He told him before their journey continued onward once more.
