Junjie and Abellio weren't quite ready for the first of the Kiandri dragons that they ran across. The creatures were fast, they blended in well with the terrain, they were dangerous, they were skilled, and they were quite impressive. It was worth all the trouble he'd gone through to get the Dovaa Sage to get him to tell him where they were located. The one that came at the two of them during the search seemed to almost come out of the sand the beast blended in so well. When it came charging at them Junjie called upon the aid of one of his spells to help to shield them from it's electric based attacks, though he wasn't able to block it all, getting quite the shock himself, before he was calling up some vines to aid in his escape.
That spell in and of itself was quite the feat to cast, it seemed that on Eowyn that there wasn't too much in the way of plant life, making it a bit of a struggle to call forth some aid from the very rare plant life, and when he did it was just enough to entangle around one of the Kiandri's feet. Not much but at least it was enough to buy himself some time. Instantly he was scooping up his Keinling into one arm, his staff in the other, and he made a hasty retreat away from the snarling, flailing, and very displeased Kiandri dragon.
"Eesh... that one doesn't seem all that happy now does it?" He murmured to Abellio as the two of them hurried along, away from the dragon through the golden sands, "It seems that we are going to have to be a lot more careful from here on out, does it? I can't very well run away from all of them, not in terrain like this." It was hot, it was dry, and he was likely to dehydrate himself if he were forced to flee too many times. He would need to find a safe spot for the two of them to stay, maybe an oasis where there was fresh water on hand. Having a sort of 'home base' just as he'd had on Serenia and Ayr, would aid the two of them in being more well prepared for the next time they ran into a Kiandri.
Once the pair were safely away Junjie planted his staff against the sandy ground, leaning against it, then called up another in his arsenal of spells to heal himself and Abellio of any damage the electric strike of the Kiandri might have caused, "Let's get a little breather, have a drink, then we will continue on our way." He told the little Keinling, petting him on the head, before smiling at him. Settling down on the sand, making sure to sit on his long cloak, he motioned for Abellio to join him. The little Ysali climbed into his lap and he wrapped the cloak protectively around him before the two of them shared some water out of his water skin, "Once we catch our breath we will be on our way." Casting a multitude of spells was always tiring, making this moment of rest all that much more important to the caster. After a while of rest the two of them were back on their feet and off to find themselves an oasis to set up camp at.
