Wisdom in the Face of Death
[ Horses: Jack-B-Nimble / Death ]
[ Rest is Here! ]

[ Status - In Progress... ]

neokitsune
White wings all but glowed in the moonlight as Death floated above the ground. Her eyes were closed as she did so, though occasionally they would crack open to peer around and make sure she hadn't flown too close to the ground. It was the last thing she wanted to be able to bash into a tree after all.

She felt free up in the air, felt like she was at home as she floated over the lands on the wings of what appeared a ghostly angel. It felt as if the binds that tied her down to the earth just weren't there, like magic almost. She had always known that the sky was for her, but she also knew that at Khairi's side she felt the most comfortable.

It was something that tore her up constantly but as long as she had the wings on her back she would always have both wouldn't she? A tleast in theory. She wasn't quite sure what to think about what would happen in years, months, weeks or even days. Death ALWAYS lived in the now, always lived in the constant.

Maybe that was the best place ot live? It had certainly kept her mind off of what had happened in the past...

Quote:
Strange hooves hit the ground at a rapid rate, sounding off the existance of quite possibly one of the strangest creatures to roam this flourished land, one who was both caring and at the same time, cursed into his eternity, almost having forgotten what he had been prior to having been suckered in oh so long ago. All this danced in his head everyday, and on these runs, it would play through his head over and over again. But unlike most days, he was content.

This was just a good run, something to air him out and wear him down. He had slept too much the day prior, and he was bursting with energy that the pascifist usually never had. He was usually so calm and collected - but now he just had to run, to get out and enjoy the night breeze. Green eyes streaked through the night, watching his area as each hoof hit the ground, almost like a miniature earthquake, leaving such a light imprint in it's wake - like a glowstick that accidentally cracks and pours on your pants. With a large, jack-o-lanturn like smile, one that cracked his maw almost to his ears, he turned a corner at a sharp rate, and came to a small hill, which brought him to an open clearning - one that was bathed in moonlight.

Taking a leap over the hill, every item that he wore, his riches and his prizes and his cherishable necklaces, sounded his presence that night, and so did his large size, hooves meeting such wonderful soft ground. This was a good night.

Pyre for Fireflies.
[ Horses: Jack-B-Nimble / Lucario ]
[ Rest is Here! ]

[ Status - In Progress... ]

Quote:
Small black ears perked high, as the sound of rolling thunder called off from a distance, beckoning towards the inhabitants of the area to clear off and find solace, for soon it would be overhead, but no quite yet. Lifting his head slowly, the strange creature known as Jack-B-Nimble watched as the dark clouds rolled in slowly, and took initiate to take towards the forest, and high grass.

Looking around as the forest thickened slowly, he noticed that the creatures of the area had decided to take shelter from the storm, and wondered deep inside if there was another soul who would rather enjoy the feeling of a good downpour, such as he.

Maybe he was as strange as Splend said he was..

Lunadriel
Lucario's eyes darted up towards the echoing sound, that threatned the air of the sky. Hearing thunder for what might be the first time, he thought it to be most interesting. Standing perfectly still, under the protection of the tree, his eyes burst wider as lightning danced through the sky. Parting his mouth a little, he inhaled. Then, the roaring boom of the sky's protest followed. 'So that's what causes the boom.' he said in his mind. Having a desire, for an untainted, branchless view, he walked into the clearing of the wood.

Head held high to the sky, without a single blink, he stood there like a tree. Waiting..

Wait.. I'm Alone?
[ Horses: Resplendence / Shishio ]
[ Rest is Here! ]

[ Status - In Progress... ]

Quote:
Within a small field in the middle of probably no where, and possibly somewhere, stood a large dark horse, with a mane almost white as snow, speckled with blues and took to the wind as easily as a bird would, his dark eyes scanning the area.

Nope. Not here.

Turning his body around once more, Resplendence, as he was called, lifted his head to the sky, hoping that the stallion that he was at this time heavily searching for would somehow be behind the clouds. No one ever said he was an intelligent Stallion. Shaking his head once, mane flying this way and that, he took off on a canter towards the edge of the field once more from whence he came out to, hoping that where ever his hooves took him, he'd find one of his companions - he wasn't keen on sticking by himself. He wasn't a smart horse, but he knew that being in a group was usually safer.

Huroggmeten
Shishio froze, his lips parted and his teeth freezing mid-tear. He had been munching lazily on the new grass of Spring when the sound of pounding hoofbeats had reaching his ears. The rhythm of those hooves was not familiar, and when paired with no nickers of joy or snorts of outrage he knew for certain that those hooves belonged to a stranger.

His neck slowly rose, ears swiveling about as he searched for the direction of the noise. His grey gaze slowly swept the area, taking in every movement, whether caused by a small wind or animal. Shishio was completely still, his breathing slow and yet still adequately serving it's purpose of supplying oxygen to his body.

He would spot this stranger, and decide whether he was friend or foe.

Two Wrongs..
[ Horses: Jack-B-Nimble / Spade ]
[ Rest is Here! ]

[ Status - Done! ]

Quote:
With a moan, the twitchy foal fell from his feet and stared at the ground blankly. Nothing he ever did made sense, so his sudden movement obviously proved this.

"Uhh.." a spasm had hit him so bad that he had fallen and face planted. His next movements involved some twitches, and a few winces. When his body seemed to be chill again, he was too lazy to do anything, so he just layed on the ground.

He hadn't seen his parents in awhile, and most older Soquili were too afraid of him to do anything. He was the coloring of an insultantly blood red, and he really had no idea of that fact. It was strange that he was still alive, and the reality of it all never hit him.

His disguting mix of a body winced a few more times until everything seemed to be ok. He started moving his tail to make sure his body was alright, and he slowly was able to pull himself up again. Growing pains seemed to be driving his body wild, and he scoffed at its ridiculous ways. His mind was starting to adjust itself better, and his insanity was slightly more controlled. But, his speech was lagging, but he didn't care, all he needed the mouth for was to eat.

Quote:
Not too far off from where the foal had been having his physical breakdown, roamed an accursed soul who's eyes light up the area infront of him, as if the mere air around him had lit up like fire. It had been such a long time since the stallion had truely been lost - so this foreign slab of land had made the larger creature comfortable. The unknown was always the greatest place for him, for he himself was part of the greater forces that made everything just slightly creepy.

Hearing the strange sound that emitted from the foal, his head snapped around dangerously quick, curiousity begot the older brute so easily. Taking a leap over a small brush, he found himself face to.. well sort of face with a small colt, who was laying on the ground, every so often a part of him twitching violently, which made Jack worry. Was it dying? Did it have seizure or what was happening. The fact that the colt was so red had paid little attention in his mind, he too was coated in such a violent red in parts.

Frowning widly, his muzzle stretching back as he peered at the smaller one, pacing around it as he watched the foal's body slowly finish twitching. "It would appear you ares sstable once more. Are you allright?"

[HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME >O
Slow and Steady ..?
[ Horses: Tetesi / Zalifur ]
[ Rest is Here! ]

[ Status - In Progress... ]

Quote:
It was another lazy day, hot summer heat and a mid day wind had slowly flowed through the forest all day, but now that it was nearing the end of another day, it just seemed like such a terrible hassle to go to so many places with the heat being the way it was. And that was without mentioning that she was, infact, a dark horse - and the summer sun was never so caring to those with dark pelts.

She knew this well.

With a small shake of her braided tail, Tetesi, the whispering mare - new and bright eyed to this area of the world, was finding a very elongated rest underneath a very comfortable, highly shaded tree. It wasn't that she did not want to take in more of the scenary of the area in which she had found herself in most recently.. it was that the summer heat just made her way too lazy. She was a dainty soul; thin and kind-hearted, but furthest from a strong horse. At the most, all she had was her intellectual value, and the fact that she had a lot of energy.. that she would expend in bursts.

And this was not a burst. Not in the least.

Giving an asperated sigh from her shelter for the day, she lifted her head to the slowly bowing sun, and frowned at it (like a mother would frown at a child she knew she could not reprimand,) and decided to talk to it. Maybe that would help. "You do know this does not bode well, you being so high in the sky and me being so curious today. You make me so tired!" she called out, before feeling to hot and lazy to say much else more. But, once again, she was only received with silence. This was boring.

Quote:
The heat definitely effected Zalifur. He could sleep for days in heat like this. He absolutely loved it. But he could sense that fall was approaching, and even though he didn't hibernate, also meant a good thing. Because that meant snow was approaching, and he could usually pass a large lump of snow with odd black hair on top of it.

The stallion lay curled up in his characteristic ball. He did not forget what that kalona had bothered him about. He wanted to get up and show her what he was capable of but... this was just a wonderful nap. He didn't want to give it up quite yet.

His body was moving rhythmically up and down as he breathed. Hearing something nearby, he couldn't help but sigh also. That just meant more trouble for him. He didn't want to deal with anybody else for today; that kalona indeed pissed him off. Though, he wasn't quite sure why he had gotten so upset about her. He usually never let things bother him... But today was a day for odd events.

Sunset
[ Horses: Boo / Arctica ]
[ Rest is Here! ]

[ Status - In Progress... ]

Quote:
Golden rays of light slanted through the canopy of the trees and illuminated patches of the small grassy clearing in the forest. A black and white mare with turquoise markings lay beneath a large deciduous tree; just beyond the reach of the sun's rays upon the ground as it fell lower in the sky. The day had been rather hot, and the shade of the forest certainly helped. Arctica had wandered into the forest sometime early in the morning after descending the slopes of her mountainous dwelling; for once during the daytime. The mare had stumbled upon this particular clearing by mistake; yet was pleased that she had in fact. The calmness of the forest had relaxed the mare and she had chosen to stay there for the majority of the day. Releasing a sigh, the mare lifted her head and her gray eyes peered around; thinking whether or not she should return home or perhaps even stay here for a while longer; if not for the entire night. Arctica enjoyed exploring during the night; everything was so different when the sun was hidden.

Quote:
It had been one of his favourite things to do since he was a foal - watching a sunset. Slowly trotting up towards the forested area, soaking in the end of day rays. They were always redder than normal, always burned the forest with shades that were only seen once a day.

It also was he only time of day when most families of Soquili were buried away in their homes, far away from here. This made him feel better about being so out and about. Althought he was unwilling to believe it; he knew that he was far to shy at times to talk to others. Maybe it was a curse; not being able to fully converse with othre soquili. He hadn't met another that kept interest in him longer than five minutes.. but then again... who'd listen to a bumbling fool?

It had been those few moments of deep thought that brought him into the same area as the other, and when he finally came to his senses, instinct took over, and a soft, squeeky sounds erupted from his startled throat.

He HONESTLY hadn't expected another soul out tonight.

Peculiar Beings
[ Horses: Tallulah Kaimi / Dante ]
[ Rest is Here! ]

[ Status - DONE! ]

Quote:
Dante had woken up from the sound of whispers...

What he and his siblings were, and what his mother was, seemed to be a large topic of discussion. Anything dysfunctional or different tended to attract others, and he grumbled as he moved away from where the gossipy ladies stood. As he walked, they saw his gray figure, and he heard them chatter about his wings and spikes on his body. That meant that he had his 'father' traits. His father, who was apparently entirely evil, and disgustingly ruthless. His father, who if was aware of the childrens birth, would kill instantly. To his father, they were all dead.

Despite that, Dante wandered around the area alone, and since he saw so many clumps of families around, he knew that it must have been a safe area.

But still.. the eyes of others got annoying after awhile, and he found a shaded area that was far to the right of where the families stood. He actually enjoyed looking and being different, and he hoped that one day he would appreciate all of this staring!

Quote:
She had burst out into the scene from the highest left point possible of the little field that broke the forest in a large gash. A burst of leaves and the sound of metal on glass exploded into the clearing as she cleared the little hole. She didn't know she could do it - it was the idea that it wasn't possible that made her try.

A triumphant smile curved the strange maw she was born with, as her eyes looked at the hole. But it was the sudden sounds behind her that soured the euphoric mood. Turning her head, she could see them backed up, looking at her with those eyes. Whispering those words. She heard it often, those discontent words, what was she, could she see, hear, smell? Strange little creature, get away!

She wouldn't have it today, and, giving a discontent growl towards them; she turned around, and with her lure tail held high, she meandered off, the sounds of the gossippers discomfort with her only fueling her defiance. It was only until she got into the quieter part of the area that she relaxed, lowering her tail to a slightly less defiant, position, before breathing a heavy sigh, and shaking her head.

"They'll rip anything, apart, won't they?" She asked, to no one in particular. Maybe herself.

Always "Bound" to get in Trouble
[ Horses: Tallulah Kaimi / Ezriel ]
[ Rest is Here! ]

[ Status - Done! ]

Quote:
She was... NGG... Stuck.

The fates had played a silly prank on the little filly, and she was not having any of it. It had been such a simple little task. Jump down a little breach in shrubbery, down the little hill she had spent Five! Whole! Minutes! to climb up so she could see how fun it would be to hobble down.

She hadn't been expecting a few very thick vines to have made their home after said shrubbery. Now normally, she would have listened to her father's choice words when she was a much smaller filly. She could imagine him beside her, telling her all the details of what to do, and what not to do, he was a great stallion, and wanted her to be safe in all her.. endeavours.

Look before you leap. Oh it was wise, back then. But what the heck do you do if you looked, lept, and then found yourself entrapped, and entangled in the worse mess of foliage you have ever seen in your (albeit, short) life? This question tormented her as she could almost hear her own voice, distant, ringing through her ears with the same question over and over again. With a mighty snot from her muzzle, she gave another push from the rock face, and attempted to make the ageless vines give away. She couldn't exactly chew through them; as her maw was.. unfamiliar to that sort of treatment. A bright green glow broke through the holes that parted the black fur around her muzzle area. Yeah. Defintally not going to be working that way.

"BLAST!" She yelled out suddenly, as she wriggled in the air, her metal guards (which, also, regretfully had absolutely no major use this time around wink clinked together, almost accompanying the outcry, glass on metal was such a loud sound sometimes.

Feeling rather tuckered out from the outburst, she slumped in her natural cradle, a long illuminated frown and six very unhappy eyes stared out into the unknown, almost begging for someone to help her. She did not wish to be stuck here for an eternity. Especially sundown. Dad hated when she was out past sundown.

Seeking Sanctity
[ Horses: Tallulah Kaimi / Twilight ]
[ Rest is Here! ]

[ Status - In Progress... ]

Quote:
Blood.

Heaving heavily as the stallion thrashed around in the shallow end of the stream near the darkening woods, he dare not head to any open water areas least someone spot him. With eyes of a crazy man, he continued to rub his hooves and legs against the rocky store in attempts to rid his pelt of the blood long gone. Feverishly he scrubbed, as bits of dirt and hairs floated away in the light current...if he continued this disturbing behaviour for much longer he would be lacking most of his leg hairs.

How was it such an act of good intentions could turn out so sinisterly wrong? Was he really just a corrupted hypocrite? How was one supposed to call himself a hero and defender of life when he so needlessly stripped the very breath from the hounds?

Cosette....he figured she would still be up in the cave sleeping from the whole ordeal, yet seeing as being in the mountians harbored such cold weather - any source of water there was long frozen. Thus, in the very early hours of the morning he'd trekked all the way back down to the lowlands...knowing very well he'd need to return as quickly as his wounds would let him before she awoke. Luckily the scar which barely missed his eye upon his brow and cheek had scabbed up, however the puncture wounds of teeth on his legs and the bullet lodged in his shoulder had yet to numb from the pain...yet that was the least of his worries right now.

"Clean...clean...." He whispered, tossing his long mane back which held timbits of canine and his own blood. A deep crimson, his once long and luxurious locks of ivory and teal were ridden with dirt and blood, sticking together awkwardly in some spots. At least Cosette was safe, and although his heart ached to leave her and his newly discovered feeling for the snow and navy hued mare....the dark plauge which riddled his mind with doubt and hysteria about his loss of logical consiousness was the only think on repeat in his mind.

Quote:

It had been a quiet day for the little filly, having taken a day off from all her careless escapades to enjoy the company of her father unit before they took to their own roads once more for another day. It was a comfortable cycle for both he and herself, both boundless spirits who did not do bode well with more than a couple of strings of fate bound with them. It was just how they rolled.

Today brought her nearer to the only element she was never fond of, normally; Water. It wasn't that she couldn't swim, or didn't like baths or the feeling of being wet, it just seemed like such a foreboding entity, always threatening death deep within it's soothing depths. That and sometimes it made her foreleg guards seize up a little. Which was never good.

Leaping over a dead trunk in her way, she was met with a peculiar sight; a stallion who seemed to be feverously scraping away at the watery bed, muttering to itself with an almost insane consistancy. This instantly made her curious, as did all odd things; she had found it was soothing to be with something just as peculiar, having met Dante and learning that it wasn't bad to be weird. Taking a turn from her original path, she trotted down to the waterside, six eyes trained on the larger brute standing in the water, his mantra almost giving her a headache; she could never understand the idea behind mantras.

Clearing her throat, she attempted to catch his attention. "You do know if you keep scrubbing you'll just take all your hair off! Then what?" she asked, almost childishly, her maw streched up in a curious smile.

[ Horses: Tallulah Kaimi / Ezriel ]
[ Rest is Here! ]

[ Status - In Progress. ]

Quote:

"Perhaps."
Came a sudden answer to an almost silent question on the air.

It had been a quiet statement to the questioning winds, the strong and yet at the same time, feminin voice had danced on the airs, as the sound of light footfalls and the faint tingles of what sounded like glass on metal. It had been awhile since the youthful and highly energetic filly - who had since grown into a strong, tall, but yet still brimming with energy and constantly question and challenging the basic rules of life - had been to this clearing. As she took a rest from her long trek, she could only think of two things whilst peering down into the clearing.

The families she left on her adventures had grown; but yet, nothing had really changed at all. Infact, to be honest, she herself had changed the most. For one, she could see more from her height - no more issues with any jumps or hills, no more getting stuck travelling for hours; her infinite 'wisdom' childhood had given her made things easier.

Making sure the mares with wandering taking their rests on this fair evening (To think, the fillies who I saw being herded by their mothers could now be the mothers hearding their fillies, with their sharp words and ideas passed down just one more generation..) she waited another few short moments before opening her mouth, and rebelliously stating one short, and yet, childlike statement.

"COME out, come out, wherever you are~"

Quote:

The once silent and distant colt had grown.

Unlike the small and rather frightening colt he once was, Ezriel had matured growing rather tall as the same stature as his father, Reaper, and was built with muscles, brawn and strength. That deadly, spiked devil tail and adorning horns atop his head only became more menacing and those eyes- those soul-less orbs of blackest-black seemed to hold faint light. To some he was still eerie and strange but, to Ezriel, he didn't give a f#$%.

With his body, the inner battle between dark and light had intensified as well and often left the stallion seething with anger, confusion and toiled emotions. He knew more about himself though there will still so many questions he wanted answers to and ot understand. And currently, the stallion was venturing off into the thick shadows and eveloping darkness to find a certain figure whom he would give his final answer to and ask the questions that had never fled from his mind. He was looking for his father, Reaper. And why? It was only several days ago that his mutant father had given him a choice: to be spared and stand alongside his father and to be an heir to his legacy or to die alongside his family. It wasn't much of a choice yet Ezriel felt that he knew his answer while, still, his mind was conflicted over it.

Stay with his family or be with his father?

Ezriel loved his family dearly but his father- Reaper was so much like himself and no one knew the truth and reality behind him. There was something...a strange yearning to learn about his fathers past as he understood most of the pains that Ezriel still didn't understand or fully comprehend. Would learning more about his father help the stallion better gain an edge or advantage in protecting his family?

But he couldn't leave his family with no defense! Dante wouldn't be able to stand up to him and Meera still seemed a mystery as to what she would do and he couldn't let his father attempt to kill them or his mother. But if he stayed, who would fight against their father or stand between them?

Ezriel continued to drift like a lost soul thorugh the dakrness until a familiar voice seemed to echo through the area with a piercing audible tone. His ears flickered as his voidless orbs glanced around catching a shine of something metallic or glassy.

His crimson brows knit as he snorted slightly, venturing closer.

"Just damn-tastic...I couldn't have been spotted, could I?" He muttered slightly and shook his head. Those long, crimson locks of hair whisped above the ground as he drew nearer still.
