 [Random RP name, LOL XD;]
Small black ears perked high, as the sound of rolling thunder called off from a distance, beckoning towards the inhabitants of the area to clear off and find solace, for soon it would be overhead, but no quite yet. Lifting his head slowly, the strange creature known as Jack-B-Nimble watched as the dark clouds rolled in slowly, and took initiate to take towards the forest, and high grass. Looking around as the forest thickened slowly, he noticed that the creatures of the area had decided to take shelter from the storm, and wondered deep inside if there was another soul who would rather enjoy the feeling of a good downpour, such as he. Maybe he was as strange as Splend said he was..

Lucario's eyes darted up towards the echoing sound, that threatned the air of the sky. Hearing thunder for what might be the first time, he thought it to be most interesting. Standing perfectly still, under the protection of the tree, his eyes burst wider as lightning danced through the sky. Parting his mouth a little, he inhaled. Then, the roaring boom of the sky's protest followed. 'So that's what causes the boom.' he said in his mind. Having a desire, for an untainted, branchless view, he walked into the clearing of the wood.
Head held high to the sky, without a single blink, he stood there like a tree. Waiting..

It was as if the heavens had opened up their gates, to show a magical dance of lights and sounds for those daring enough to enjoy the show, those bold enough to strike against it and bear their faces to those higher and more beautiful beings than those who dwelled on land. But never the less, it wasn't the sound of the thunder that rolled overhead, but the sound of very defined footfalls that finally turned the jagged-mawed Unicorn to regard the other, eyes lighting up the area where the storm had taken over with it's dark clouds.
Regarding the other for only a moment, he turned back, with a soft, but well heard chuckle. "It sssurely is a ssight to see, iss it not? The heavenss are telling uss a story - if I had the ability to create the muss~ic that resides in my ssoul, it would sssing the song that the rain iss playing for uss." he stated, his spirits high and his maw even higher, almost as if he were literally grinning ear to ear.

The sky remained calm for what seemed too long for Lucario. His study was broken by an unexpected voice on the wind. It hit his ears with an air of words that seemed to hang on the winds they rode in on. He didn't stop starring at the sky, and assumed it was another soquili talking. His mind filled with the thought of stories and music, as the words were spoken poeticly. He imagined what the stories might be, and how the music might sound. He wasn't one for having much muse though, so even though he felt the words were great, they didn't quite become the imaginings they should inspire.
As the strange voice ended it's melody, lighting split into chaos in the sky, and then was gone. Instantly, he said "Tell me more." with an expected demand to his voice. Like a child at the edge of it's seat, wanting the story to continue. The thunder boomed when his voice fell silent.

It didn't take him more than a moment to understand the curiosity that was suddenly instilled in the other from the storm, and taking a moment to glance to the other form, he just nodded softly, and watched for a small gap of time, to read the storm, as if reading a book or a music sheet. With flick of his long tail, compass flailing with the wind behind him, he started.
"It sspeaks of worldss beyond ourss, past the mountainsss, singing taless of it's journey, through vass~t praries and large lakes that go for miless. The Heavens grace us with it's dancess, the lightning is it's puppet and it tugss it around the sky for uss." he starts, his usual sharp glance softening as his bright, luminescent eyes watch the clouds, the rain picking up their glow at times, bouncing the light off into the air. Turning his head as the lightning danced before them once again, sending the sky into a frenzy of sound, he couldn't help but chuckle softly.
"The storm came sweeping in from in front of uss.. therefore it comess from lands where the music is sweet, and yet, ssharp with instruments that would make your ssoul quiver. It singss about the ocean, it's mother home, where all sstorms begin." he finished up, nodding softly. "It isss an old storm, it shall find it's home soon.."

His mind swirled like the clouds above. Darkness choked out the remaining evening light in the sky, as the rains loomed heavily above them. He turned, as the voice carried on as he requested. What he saw, was strange, a face that broke the nights air with a glow. His eyes and mouth seemed to dance and shimmer with the rains that fell around him. He nodded once and smiled as he chuckled. He was pleased that the story teller, was as colorful as the story itself.
Looking back towards the heavens, he added on to the strangers melodic words. "It seems to have already found it's home, here before you and I, as it crashes into the earth without edge." he paused, thinking for a moment about the storms purpose. Thunder seemed to drum in a constant fading beat from every end of the clouds.

A light laugh broke from the position, as the unicorn regarded his parnter for this flirt with nature, his eyes skirting over to him once more, internally amusing the idea that atleast he, himself, wasn't such an overly unique soul this time. His newfound acquaintance wasn't too shabby himself.
Whence the statement was finished, he couldn't help but give a nod as a sharp fork of lightning shone throughout the sky, lightning up the path ever so much more, as he turned his attention back "I wouldn't bank on it - they are interesssting - great pride ressides in those billowing black cloudssss. As if it knowsss how dangerous and commanding it can be. We are but two of the few brave watchersss this day, I am sure it will find a ssecluded sspot to finally ressst it's weary ssoul." he answered, watching the rain sheet across the land. "I am ssure Mother Nature will accept hisss final wissshes, definitally watering her plantsss." came the finish of that statement, as he chuckled once more.

Lucario turned his eyes away from the storm and towards the other. His large body following the motion of his eyes. He stood facing the green glowing face, of the dark stallion. The weather proved for a difficult judge in the distance between the two of them. He didn't move closer. Breaking the conversations flow, he introduced himself. "My name's...Lucario." The last of his name held in his mouth, seeming to billow off his tongue.
The sky was still being burned with the images of dancing lights. If the world was crazy, the sight of such a night, and these two enjoying it, would be the norm. For a sunny day, would now seem boring and dull after such a display. Or at least to him it would. A storm like this, is art.

As the thunder opened the sky, like a defiant heartbeat of the old storm, the stallion waiting for the song of the rain to die down before he could return with an intellegent answer. His own heart beat in perfect tune with the thunder and the pelting rain that sang out to him. It was almost heaven on earth - as all good storms had been. But he could feel it starting to end.
Turning back to the other stallion, he finally shook his head a bit, dispersing some of the flyaway mane from his eyes to take a good look through the glowing rain around him. "It's a very powerful sounding name, Lucario. Pleasant on the ears though." he first stated. "I am called Jack-B-Nimble; although I am unsure if that is my birthname. Feel free to use it - I answer it freely, and readily." He couldn't remember when he had received such a strange title - but it had lived on his heart since he was a foal... since before his accursed state.

He listened to the name that was handed to him in such a melodic tone, he had to try it out for himself. "Jack-B-Nimble" he spoke, as it bounded around his mouth and off his tongue. A smirk came across his face. "A name that holds it's ring, just like the stories that you tell." He gave him a nod, as if to say Nice to meet you.
Suddenly, every hair stood on his body, and his senses had a split chance to height in awareness as the air changed. He stood his ground, with his tail erect. The sky did open, but not before sending it's message to the watchers below.
Crack-ckkkk!! It sounded as if the air itself was ripping beside them. The sky lit up as a bolt of lightning beamed down and past them. The noise was not only the sound of the air being invaded by the bolt, but also from it's resting place in the trunk of a defenseless tree off in the clear.
Lucario flared his nostrils as the smell of burnt wood spread on the wind. He felt something hit his back and twitched at it's touch, breaking the short trance the electricity had placed him in. He looked up to see a rain of leaves and tree bits. They were quite far from the tree, which was now being spread across grounds, that even it's roots would never reach.

The energy of the storm had quickly taken over the conversation, the reminder of the power that streamed through the clouds overhead, almost as if it had attempted to tell both the bold souls that although it was an aged storm; it was still with it's power, and would not take being called a weakened storm.
With the sickeningly sweet smell of a tree's last breath as it fell to the storm, the leaves that bypassed them in the air made the glowing one look over head, his fur standing on edge, and his heart racing. After what seemed like forever, the storm's raging song finished rumbling through the air, and the sky returned to it's solumn rain.
With a tight chuckle, the older stallion shook his head softly, before giving his acquaintance a short glance. "I would asssume that we may have offended the storm ssomewhat. It wasss not amused by it'sss age being apparent." he whispered out, just loud enough for the other to hear. A repeat performance of lightning would be far too much for them to withstand. "I wouldn't be ssurprised if it took down a mighty tree... to.. our left I would believe." He stated, looking towards where the wind was carrying the refuse from the marked point.

The whites of his eyes burned through the air. Finally blinking, he looked over to Jack-B-Nimble with a nervous laugh, leaning in to listen to his whispers. "Woah....." His face became consumed with the oddest of looks, not knowing what to think of the moment that just past. "That.........was close." He attempted to shake the whole thing off, jerking his body in a quick motion. His head dropped with one serious nod, and his eyes went wide again. "Jack-B-Nimble, I'm glad to still be standing here with you.. Wow."
Regaining his composure, he could think of only one thing. "Let's see how well this wise storm...." he stressed on the word wise, as if the storm was listening. "...hit his mark." He gestured the idea, with a couple light steps, and a caustios glare to the sky. He had to see what was left of this tree.

A content chuckle filled the air as the accursed soul showed his amusement to the sudden words of kindness and awe to the storm that danced overhead. The question fit perfectly well with what the dark Unicorn had, himself, thought of a moment before, and without hesitation, he lifted his head towards the area of debris, his large eyes still making the slightly lightening rain glow like gemstones falling to the ground.
"Well then we should make hassss~te, follow me, I believe I know where he hasss hit." he stated, starting off on a light trot. This was not time for rushing, it was far too important to make too much haste at a wonderful time like this.

Looking at the stallion with a quirk in his eye, he began to follow. He scanned the area with a keen eye, following the ground as best he could. Bumping through the darkness blindly, he know wished for a flash of light from the vanishing storm. A branch popped beneath his heavy hoof. Glancing down, he could see leaves everywhere. They were getting closer. Nothing he could imagine, would of compared to what he saw. Before he could examine the tree closer, he turned to his company, wide eyed. "Would you look at that..."
The tree itself was amazingly, still standing. The bolt had split the tree in two, almost through the length of it's trunk, curving where the bolt had stopped. Branches that had once grew up, were now hanging to the side, if not missing entirely. Strewn across the ground, was the heart of everything that the lightning had touched. A bed of raw mulch could be seen around the entire tree. The old oak must of been towering in it's years before it was struck. The smell of fresh wood was burning his fist sized nostrils. "Wow..." was all he could muster to say in front of the seemingly wise Soquili.
