 Blood.
Heaving heavily as the stallion thrashed around in the shallow end of the stream near the darkening woods, he dare not head to any open water areas least someone spot him. With eyes of a crazy man, he continued to rub his hooves and legs against the rocky store in attempts to rid his pelt of the blood long gone. Feverishly he scrubbed, as bits of dirt and hairs floated away in the light current...if he continued this disturbing behaviour for much longer he would be lacking most of his leg hairs.
How was it such an act of good intentions could turn out so sinisterly wrong? Was he really just a corrupted hypocrite? How was one supposed to call himself a hero and defender of life when he so needlessly stripped the very breath from the hounds?
Cosette....he figured she would still be up in the cave sleeping from the whole ordeal, yet seeing as being in the mountians harbored such cold weather - any source of water there was long frozen. Thus, in the very early hours of the morning he'd trekked all the way back down to the lowlands...knowing very well he'd need to return as quickly as his wounds would let him before she awoke. Luckily the scar which barely missed his eye upon his brow and cheek had scabbed up, however the puncture wounds of teeth on his legs and the bullet lodged in his shoulder had yet to numb from the pain...yet that was the least of his worries right now.
"Clean...clean...." He whispered, tossing his long mane back which held timbits of canine and his own blood. A deep crimson, his once long and luxurious locks of ivory and teal were ridden with dirt and blood, sticking together awkwardly in some spots. At least Cosette was safe, and although his heart ached to leave her and his newly discovered feeling for the snow and navy hued mare....the dark plauge which riddled his mind with doubt and hysteria about his loss of logical consiousness was the only think on repeat in his mind.

It had been a quiet day for the little filly, having taken a day off from all her careless escapades to enjoy the company of her father unit before they took to their own roads once more for another day. It was a comfortable cycle for both he and herself, both boundless spirits who did not do bode well with more than a couple of strings of fate bound with them. It was just how they rolled.
Today brought her nearer to the only element she was never fond of, normally; Water. It wasn't that she couldn't swim, or didn't like baths or the feeling of being wet, it just seemed like such a foreboding entity, always threatening death deep within it's soothing depths. That and sometimes it made her foreleg guards seize up a little. Which was never good.
Leaping over a dead trunk in her way, she was met with a peculiar sight; a stallion who seemed to be feverously scraping away at the watery bed, muttering to itself with an almost insane consistancy. This instantly made her curious, as did all odd things; she had found it was soothing to be with something just as peculiar, having met Dante and learning that it wasn't bad to be weird. Taking a turn from her original path, she trotted down to the waterside, six eyes trained on the larger brute standing in the water, his mantra almost giving her a headache; she could never understand the idea behind mantras.
Clearing her throat, she attempted to catch his attention. "You do know if you keep scrubbing you'll just take all your hair off! Then what?" she asked, almost childishly, her maw streched up in a curious smile.

Having been much too busy with his near psychotic ramblings and actions; the near retired nomad had been oblivious to the approach of the filly before it was much to late; hearing a small giddy voice ring in his ears. Turning around with a stunned looking in his eyes; they widened soon after but not to her appearance; no no; it was a look of shock that he'd been found out here in such a state. He could only pray thankfully to the angeni who made it a stranger rather than Cosette.
"Well...I suppose i'd be bald. I guess that isn't a good thing for a younger stallion is it?" He replied in answer to the filly, standing upright and shaking his drenched locks of hair. Chuckling softly; he could feel the angry voices and clenching of his heart slowly dissipate back into his mind; his usual self seeping forth. Why him? Why him?
Yet Twilight took a moment to actually look at the Filly before him; a strange one indeed! He would have probably been frightened of her if he'd not heard such a kind voice before seeing the figure. He hated to admit but he was a bit judgmental from the warnings of his father as a foal to be weary of Kalona and those sorts of Soquili. Then again; who wasn't? None the less she looked like some strange concoction with her deer like antlers; lump of a tail and the fact her eyes and mouth didn't seem like....eyes and a mouth. She might have looked scary; yet Twilight found it more intriguing than anything. He could only wonder what her parents looked like!
"Sorry for the display; little one." He grinned sheepishly, before bowing his head regally. "This buffoon's name is Twilight. What's yours?" Smiling genuinely, he trotted out of the stream and to the shore to get out of the current; seeing that his long lock would never get dry skimming on the surface.

The sudden, and slightly hesitant actions that followed after her voice hit the air struck an odd cord in the little filly. Watching as he finally recognized her being there, she cracked a very long smile to him, attempting to show that she was neither a phantom image, nor someone who wanted to hurt him. Truth be told, she could barely hurt a fly, and less because she was short, more because she didn't feel violence was neccessary.
"That wouldn't be very inviting, I think - a bald stallion sounds kind of funny, actually. Not to mention, it'd take awhile to grow back." She answered his internal musing, before watching him emerge from the water, his fur soaked almost to the point of wreckage, but to her, it was just another stallion - she was not the kind of judge so openly. For wasn't that why she, and the colts she had left behind not recently, were so in dislike towards regular creatures?
Shaking her head to both her own internal musings, and his own answer, she looked up to him as he came closer - such a large brute - before holding the smile once more.
"No need to be sorry, kind sir - Fortunately I've seen much worse." With a wag of her luretail, she continued. "But, it just seemed so strange for a kind-looking sir as yourself to be washing away whatever particals so ... vigorously." That was right word, right? Giving a little frown to show her uncertainty to large words still, she flashed back to a somewhat neutral face before finishing her line of thought. "I just got a bit curious, forgive me for barging in so quickly. My name's Talullah Kaimi, but most call me Tal. Or Kai."
