She knew this well.
With a small shake of her braided tail, Tetesi, the whispering mare - new and bright eyed to this area of the world, was finding a very elongated rest underneath a very comfortable, highly shaded tree. It wasn't that she did not want to take in more of the scenary of the area in which she had found herself in most recently.. it was that the summer heat just made her way too lazy. She was a dainty soul; thin and kind-hearted, but furthest from a strong horse. At the most, all she had was her intellectual value, and the fact that she had a lot of energy.. that she would expend in bursts.
And this was not a burst. Not in the least.
Giving an asperated sigh from her shelter for the day, she lifted her head to the slowly bowing sun, and frowned at it (like a mother would frown at a child she knew she could not reprimand,) and decided to talk to it. Maybe that would help. "You do know this does not bode well, you being so high in the sky and me being so curious today. You make me so tired!" she called out, before feeling to hot and lazy to say much else more. But, once again, she was only received with silence. This was boring.

The heat definitely effected Zalifur. He could sleep for days in heat like this. He absolutely loved it. But he could sense that fall was approaching, and even though he didn't hibernate, also meant a good thing. Because that meant snow was approaching, and he could usually pass a large lump of snow with odd black hair on top of it.
The stallion lay curled up in his characteristic ball. He did not forget what that kalona had bothered him about. He wanted to get up and show her what he was capable of but... this was just a wonderful nap. He didn't want to give it up quite yet.
His body was moving rhythmically up and down as he breathed. Hearing something nearby, he couldn't help but sigh also. That just meant more trouble for him. He didn't want to deal with anybody else for today; that kalona indeed pissed him off. Though, he wasn't quite sure why he had gotten so upset about her. He usually never let things bother him... But today was a day for odd events.

Ugh, whatever.
She had to get away from this accursed tree line, it was only an amount of time before she got aggitated from being in one place too long before her legs started to ache. But she was just too lazy. Looking over her shoudler to the destination she had randomly picked to move next, she frowned, it was all the way over there.
Taking a few steps around the bases of the trees around her, she gave a sharp snort, before her hoof stepped into something unfamiliar. Looking down, slow shock filled her mind when her eyes trailed along dark strands of hair, until she finally reached the beginning of the long line. Eyes widening, she had to double take, was that what she thought it was? Her mind took a few moments to decipher the large ball of Stallion, but when she did, she almost jumped back, feeling suddenly terrible about ruining such beautiful strands.
"Oh, I'm so sorry, I didn't see you there!" she exclaimed softly, looking down to the barely moving body. ".. are you still alive?" followed. It was more to calm herself, than to ask so abruptly to a horse she hadn't met till now.

Zalifur heard the steps getting closer and closer and then whatever it was, was on his hair. Giving a deep sigh, he didn't care. The stallion looked up at the female wondering what she wanted and why she had disturbed him. Zalifur never seemed to realize that most soquili disturbed him on accident, but that's his ego playing part.
Blinking rapidly, Zalifur didn't want to say anything in hopes that he could pass for dead, but then he realized he had already moved his head. Oh well... "Yes, I'm still alive. The last time I checked I was." Heaving a great sigh, Zalifur observed the female quietly. "What do you want?" His great jet black hair was scattered everywhere. It looked so messy but elegant at the same time if that was possible.

For a few dead silent moments, the question took it's time to sink in, and her mind took even a greater time to come up with a reasonable answer. What DID she want. She meant to say she was glad to see he was unharmed, but instead she decided to file that away momentarily. This fellow didn't seem like the kind for idle conversation.
Not to mention, this was the first time she had met another since travelling here. "Auh. Ah. What Do I want.." she repeated, before looking down at him again. "Sundown. Ultimately, I'd like for this blasted sun to take it's departure for today. I feel much too lazy to explore this region when it's so bloody hot." She answered, in a flurry, which made her bite back her words at the end. she didnt mean to rant and complain to a stranger, and decided to avert her eyes once again.
"Er, forgive my outburst." She apologized, before deciding that something had to keep this conversation going; even if it was idle. "What is a good sir as yourself doing around here at this time of day, I wonder?"
Not the best, but it would do.

Staring at the mare, Zalifur could actually say that he was surprised by her answer. A lot of soquili have been asked the same question and he has always been bored by each and everyone of them. But he couldn't say the same about this one. Watching her with a sort of curious glint in his eyes now, Zalifur nodded. "Oh, but you're all too correct. The heat is troublesome." The stallion paused slightly, and he had only one word to answer her question. "Sleeping."
Zalifur continued to look at her, even if he seemed a little curious, his eyes were somewhat blank, almost like he was sleeping even though his eyes were open. "What about you?" Usually, he would take the chance to end the conversation and go back to sleep, but he did find her interesting... so far. He wondered how long she would keep his attention as his attention span was quite short.

It almost surprised the dainty mare when he actually took the time to converse with her, beyond whatever he had already regulated towards her. He didn't look like the kind to openly converse with another at a drop of a dime, so she took it as a sign of good fortune and took the initiative to keep this rare moment going.
"Sleeping, what a wonderful idea that is; I haven't taken a fair good nap in a day or two." She answered his retort, her eyes softly trailing off as she remembered the last few days since made her way to this area, her tail flickering behind her in a lazy fashion of a sort. It was the kind of day today, lazy. "I, er, took it upon myself to finally get away from the life I had been draining myself away in and took to traveling. I'm very far from home, as it were, and decided one day that I just didn't feel like going any further. This seems like a wonderful area to grow new roots and whatnot. It's just getting out there and growing those roots. Very time consuming. Not quite ready to take all that time to... you know. Mingle. I guess." she stated to the stranger, surprised that she even accepted to open up to him. He was just another soquili out in the middle of no where, and just left of somewhere and everywhere, but it was almost comforting to have met someone else. She was starting to worry that she had taken a wrong turn into an empty abyss.
Looking down to him again, she hoped that she hadn't bored him entirely too much with that statement, having a general, and yet slightly fuzzy grasp about his personality as of now. "Tetesi. By the way. That's my name." It probably didn't make much sense to have told him, but she was raised right, and never failed to be pleasant. Even if a little blunt.

"Really? You should try it more often. Sleep is amazing." Zalifur couldn't help but smile at the end of that statement because for him, sleep was everything. If he were to stay up for 12 hours, he would probably go insane. Zalifur needed his sleep, period. Zalifur kept watching her with observant eyes and he kept in mind his conversation with Shego. If there was anything he valued more than sleep then his pride took the spot.
The stallion then realized that he was still sitting down. Maybe... he should get up. After thinking that, Zalifur slowly lifted his body off up the ground. He was a little taller then the average soquili and his hair seemed even longer then when he was laying on the ground. "I see." That was all he could get himself to say.
Giving a soft sigh, Zalifur was beginning to wonder if he should just forget his pride just this once. "Pleasure. I go by Zalifur." And then he fell silent.

Tetesi couldn't help but give a hearty chuckle when she heard the pale stallion rave in his little way about sleeping and naps, he seemed nice enough for someone that she had stepped on in the air of confusion. "I will definitely keep that in mind, a good nap could be something I could use in the near future." She mused, before realizing he was starting to rise to his feet - a feat that looked like it was difficult and very rarely happened to him.
Turning her head upwards towards the larger stallion, she gave him a kind smile at the mention of his name, before nodding softly, her hair and braid bouncing with the movement. "Zalifur? Zalifur," she started, taking the name for her own once or twice before giving a chuckle "That's a lovely name, it's very soft sounding. I think it fits you well." she finished, flickering an ear. "I think by the looks of you, I should be honoured to see you rise to your height, it sure is a lovely day for just standing around.." She mused, looking at the now slowly setting sun.

Nodding once more, Zalifur stood on his four hooves, something was was incredibly rare and something he really never wanted to do. But he wanted to prove Shego wrong. "Naps... are good." His naps were never really... naps, he just slept. Looking down at her, Zalifur had almost forgotten how tall he was compared to most soquili. The way she said his name... It was all so pleasant and he just realized how pretty her voice was. ... He stopped and shook the thoughts out of his head. What was he thinking about? He shouldn't be thinking at all especially about her.
"Why thank you. Tetesi is also a very pretty name and suits you." His voice didn't sound as drowsy anymore but that didn't stop his want to sleep. Zalifur was surprised at the mares last comment. "It's nothing. I should be more honored to be speaking to you." Zalifur was beginning to realize that he wasn't sure if he really meant these comments or if he was just playing Shego's game or not. But being confused required too much energy so he just ignored his own thoughts.
