So many new people! (After the first day)
Hello, my trusty pink diary! So I finally get a chance to write in you! Aya-chan and the other maids bought you for me, so I would have something to write in when I started high school – how sweet of them! But anyways, that exactly what I did today! Started going to Ouran High School, that is. It doesn’t seem that different from middle school, but I got to meet a lot of new people today! And see people I already knew!
Like Minori-chan, a girl in my class! She’s really nice, and I want to get to know her better! For some reason though, before we were led to our class by Miss Ayame – that’s our form teacher – she seemed to be feeling a little dizzy. I hope she’s okay?
She wasn’t the only one who wasn’t feeling well today, sadly. Another classmate – Roka-kun – was reacting to his allergies. There was a pretty white kitty in the building earlier, and apparently poor Roka-kun is allergic to kitties. I tried my best to help him, but the most I could do was give him my handkerchief. I did get to talk to him about a lot of things, though – including about my grandmother. It’s still a kind of sore subject but…Grandmother wanted me to happy. I promised her that I’d always bounce back no matter what…
…
But anyways! I met lots of people today – Miho-chan, Takumi-kun (I knew him from middle school! And we’re in the same class again this year!), Chiya-chan, and Kiyoshi-kun – and they’re all really nice! I hope I’ll get to talk to them more eventually, and become friends with all of them, especially Minori-chan!
And this concludes my first diary entry, my pink diary! Certainly not the last one though!
...Annnnd maybe I should name you, diary. How’s Pink-chan? <3

Explaining Simple Matters to Mitsuko is a Pain. (Journal #1)
“Miss Mitsuko.”
Hearing her name, the bronze-haired girl looked up at the older girl who had entered. She had been seated on her bedroom floor, playing – as usual – with her dog and cat when her maid, Aya, had come in and addressed her. Scratching Alimet behind the ears, she blinked at Aya, before grinning.
“Yes, Aya-chan?” The girl tilted her head to the side as a grimace spread over her maid’s face. Aya stared at Mitsuko for a moment, before sighing.
“Miss Mitsuko, you recall that your parents invited old friends of theirs over? And that they will arrive within an hour from now?” Mitsuko nodded. “Good. And you remember that you must go down, and greet them?” Mitsuko nodded again.
“Why then, are you not dressed?” Aya sighed, exasperated. She looked over Mitsuko with a judging eye, a single brow arched.
At this, Mitsuko blinked blankly, a quizzical look on her face. “What’re you talking about, Aya-chan? I am too dressed.” She then turned her gaze down onto herself. She wore a simple pink sweater, a cream-white skirt, and pink bunny slippers. Her hair was also pinned up, though rather messily. This, however, was what she usually wore at home, and she failed to see the problem with it.
Again, Aya sighed. “Yes you are, however, your mother and father’s guests will be arriving soon, and you must greet them.”
“…Yes?” Mitsuko stared blankly.
“They’re very important people. Your parents will want to make a good impression on them.” The maid rose her brows expectantly.
“Huh?”
Sighing loudly, Aya crouched down so that she was eye level with Mitsuko. “Your parents,” She spoke slowly and clearly, “Are having very important guests over. Are you still following?”
She nodded.
“Good. Now then, they’ll be here soon and, being the only child of the Takara family, your parents will expect you to make a good, formal impression on their guests.” She then nodded towards the bronze-haired girl’s clothes. Mitsuko looked down at her clothes again, her eyes lingering on her clothing for a moment before she looked back up at the older girl.
…
“…?”
Aya really wanted to hit her head against the wall by this point. Mitsuko may be clever in school and when it came to studying, but when it came to such simple matters…
Heaving a sigh (she seemed to be sighing a lot, today), she stood up, putting her hands on her hips as she looked down at Mitsuko.
“Miss Mitsuko, the guests will be here in half an hour. To make a good impression, please change into something more formal. I and the other maids will be back in a few minutes, to help you with hair. Please do so quickly.” With then, she gave a single bow, and walked out.
Sitting on the floor, Mitsuko merely stared after Aya, before scratching her head. “Oh. That’s what she meant.” She cocked her head to the side, as Razi, her tabby kitten, climbed up onto her lap.
“Why didn’t she tell me sooner? Oh well. Time to change, I suppose!”

Quite the Party (After Mitsuko's birthday party)
Waaah! Guess what, Pink-chan! I’m sixteen now!
Well okay, I turned sixteen about a week ago, but it was just tonight that I had my birthday party! A lot more people showed up than I thought – Minori-chan, Takumi-kun, Satu-kun, and even Chiya-chan! I’m so happy that they could come! There was also a special guest – Asumi-chan. She’s Roka-kun’s sister, because, apparently, poor Roka-kun couldn’t come but he had his sister drop off a gift. His sister is very pretty!
Ah yes, and while on the topic of gifts…in my invitation, I said that no gifts were necessary but you know what? They all brought me a gift! Maybe next year, if I have a party again, I’ll print, ‘No gifts are necessary!’ in bright, red ink. The best gift they gave me was themselves – the very fact that they came makes me really happy! <3
One thing I’ve learned from this party though, is that heels are hazards! I think Minori-chan was the only one wearing heels who wasn’t hit with the curse! I fell multiple times tonight, and poor Asumi-chan sprained her ankle! She said that she never fell in those shoes before…
COULD IT BE THAT I’M REALLY CURSED!?
Nooo, I hope not! I don’t want to be cursed! And what if I spread it to Minori-chan, and whenever she wears heels, she always falls too!? I’d never forgive myself if Minori-chan was hurt because of my curse!
[[ By this point, Mitsuko is panicking outloud and, worried, her guards and maids rush in.
10 minutes later…]]
Phew. Aya-chan convinced me that it’s unlikely – or impossible – that I’m cursed. She said that if I really were, then Minori-chan would have fallen during my party, but she stayed graceful for the whole evening. What a relief! After I had calmed down, my guards and maids all walked out whispering, chuckling, and shaking their heads. I wonder what they were talking about?
I hope that next year, my birthday is a success! I want to get a chance to make more friends now, too! And hopefully next year, everyone – new friends and old – can make it to my party!

A Random longing for Christmas (Journal #2 - Very, very short and random.)
Stretching, Mitsuko walked through the commoner mall with interest. The last time she had come here was when she had encountered all those people from Ouran. It didn’t seem like anyone from Ouran was here today, however, and Mitsuko had only come solely for the purpose of buying some sweets.
What? Mitsuko liked her candy!
She glanced left and right, eyes lit up with interest as she passed by dozens of stores. How cool these malls were! All these little stores in one building, and…it was so warm. The scent of pizza, perfume, along with other things seemed to swirl around her. It was really quite pleasant, wasn’t it? She couldn’t wait for Christmas though.
Whenever she came to one of these commoner malls during Christmas, there were always decorations everywhere. Sure, the other malls that the wealthy frequented put up decorations too, but the atmosphere seemed…different. While one seemed to be put up solely to look pretty, it still seemed almost empty at times. On the other hand, the decorations in the commoner malls…though they were less impressive in size and beauty, they had a much happier, festive feel to them. And all those happy shoppers running around to buy gifts…Mitsuko sighed. How she loved Christmas.
She snapped out of it quickly, however, when she nearly walked into a sign. This earned a few giggles from others around her, but she merely offered them a sheepish grin before continuing on her way. Well, it was a little too early to be thinking about Christmas. The holiday was months away, after all. Sighing again, this time a wistful sigh, the green-eyed girl continued through the mall before she reached the candy shop.

Taking Alimet out for another walk~ (Journal #3 - Walkin' the dog! An impossible scenerio. xD)
"No - Not again! Alimet! Stop it! Slow down! Heel! Sit! Something!?"
It was like deja vu all over again. Mitsuko had, once again offered to take her husky for a walk, as the family staff had been arguing amongst themselves as to who would 'have to take the monster' out for a walk this time. Either Mitsuko loved her dog a lot, or she had a very, very bad memory of what had happened the last time she took him out for the walk. Knowing Mitsuko though, it was probably both.
"Alimeeeet, stoooop!" Mitsuko tried digging the heels of her shoes into the pavement, but the large dog continued to run, dragging her behind him. Grimacing, Mitsuko hung on to his leash for dear life. the last time this had happened, she had been dragged to the park, and met Katsuo. This time, however, it was far later, and the sun was going to sink within 20 minutes or so. She found it unlikely that anyone she knew would be out at a time like this.
Silently, she thanked Aya for offering to take care of Razi in exchange for Mitsuko taking Alimet out for a walk. If she were to bring the kitten along with her, she was sure that he wouldn't have been very happy at all. Plus, he's probably be pretty irritated with her after, for having taken him along when he couild have been eating, or napping. Razi was generally nice, for a feline, but hit wasn't hard to annoy him, that was for sure.
Lost in her thoughts, the girl didn't even notice anymore that Alimet had paused, to take a breather. The large husky sat down, panting as his tail furiously waved back and forth. Snapping out of her daze, Mitsuko looked down at her dog with a blink, before giggling. "Tired already, Alimet? Thank goodness. Let's walk the rest of the way home then, mmkay?" Taking charge again, the girl moved in front of the dog, and started to walk. Standing up obediently, Alimet trotted after her, tail still waving like a flag caught in a wind storm.
Alimet had decided to behave the whole way back to the mansion, it seemed, as (for once) he didn't try to drag Mitsuko the rest of the way himself. Upon reaching the mansion, Mitsuko was greeted by the usual staff, and she responded with a grin.
"So," Aya said, walking down the stairs to greet Mitsuko, "How did the walk go?"
"Uh," Mitsuko blinked, furrowing her brows. "I can't remember. BI got distracted half way through the walk." She said, while slipping off her shoes.
Her staff glanced at each other, and then the dog, murmuring to themselves. Mitsuko had saved them for a day - who would take him out the next day?
Bouncing up the stairs, Alimet following her, Mitsuko paused to to around. "Oh! And by the way, I'll take him for a walk tomorrow too! It's a little scary to take him for a walk at first, but having him drag you around can be fun after a while too. It's like skiing! On cement!" She giggled, "So, yup. I'll take him for a walk tomorrow too, if it's alright with you guys." With that, she bounced off to her room.
Everyone stared after her. Mentally, like dozens of times before, they wondered whether the Takara family's heir was really sane.

Halloween is neaaar! (Free candy, yay!)
Eee! It's October! And at the end of this month is...dun dun dun, Halloween!
I think we - as in the other Ouran students and I! - should have some sort of costume party! Or, or go trick or treating or something! Halloween is about having fun, and being scared afterall. Of course, it's also about the candy. Can't have Halloween without candy!
I wasn't really sure what I wanted to be this year, though after talking to Minori-chan, she suggested a witch. I think it's a good idea! I'll get a witch costume, though I'll make a few adjustments here and there. Maybe add some pink or white lace, wear some long, fingerless gloves to keep my arms warm, and carry Razi around. Razi is an orange kitty though, not a black one, but that's okay!
I wonder what the others will be, though? And I wonder if the Music club and Host club will be holding some sort of event for this holiday? That'd be a lot of fun!
...
Wah, now I don't know if I can wait until October 31st! It's so far away! Well, maybe I'll make a few phone calls around in the meantime, and see what everyone feels like doing on Halloween night! I'm sure everyones parents will allow them to come to, you know, 'strengthen family ties'.
I wish our parents didn't expect so much of us future...
Oh well. I guess that's what happens when we're born into wealthy families...WELL. Off to make those phone calls!
