Satu stood up on the large stage, his face flushed and his hands were rubbing each other, showing his agitation and nervousness for standing infront of his peers like this. He had been asked to organise this years first year musical because of his connections within his family and his own participation and passion for music. So in the end Satu was left to address everyone of his peers in one room. He breathed in deeply and tapped on the microphone in front of him, trying to silence his classmates who were delightedly chatter to each other.

"Um..excuse me please...could I have everyones attention please?" he asked, his smiled forced and his hands shaking with nervousness. "Some...some of you know me already but for those of you who I havn't had the pleasure of meeting yet my name is Satu, Satu Kimura. I'm a student in class 1B and I have been asked by the staff...to inform you all that, as first year students, we are obliged to organise and perform a musical as a team building exercise. We, as the organisers, must organise every single detail. I need people to give forward names to be leaders of the following groups. A team of set designers and painters, a team of the auditioning of actors, a team for organising the finance and so forth. I will be organising the music as a part of my orchestra, but I will not be team leader. I also need a team leader for back-stage during the show, prop manager, light and sound. If I'm missing anything important please point that out. I have left books at the exits in which I would like people to volenteer themselves or someone else for these jobs."

Satu took a deep breath, becoming much more calm on stage. His nerves finally subsided and he continued with his business. "The next thing I would like would be suggestions and a vote on what our muscial will be. As we are a rather large group I'm sure we could pull most musicals off. The rights to the musical are not a problem since my family has...*cough*...contacts. Please present your suggestions and then we will vote. The most popular musical we will perform. I have also left a sign up sheet outside all classroom. I hope all hopeful actors and actresses will sign up to participate. Auditions will start in 2 weeks. The script for the musical we descide on today will be available in the office from tomorrow. I would suggest to all hopefuls to please practice but please do not seek professional help. It will give you an unfair advantage on others. Thank you. I will now take suggestions for musicals. Please raise you hand and please do not shout over each other." Satu said finally, placing the mic back on the stand and waiting for the start of suggestions.

A musical, huh?

A silver-haired young man watched the blond student onstage, his headphones in, but his ipod off. It sounded interesting enough. Though his first impression of Satu had been somewhat of a timid nature, Roka held his school mate in high regard on account of his marvoulous talent with musical instruments. Still, he hadn't ever pictured Satu Kimura as the sort to stand up on stage and propose a musical. He wondered if Satu had volunteered to announce the event.

Either way, it seemed as though a lot of thought had been put into the organization of the production. It was obviously going to be hard work. Roka had never before attempted a musical before, and he wasn't sure he should start now. Still...would Satu think less of him if he didn't take part? It would only make him seem colder, turning his back to this 'team-building excercise.'

He would have to think on it. But even if he did decide to join...what possible part could he play in the creation of this student-made production? Perhaps it would be interesting to see who else was hoping to do what. With luck, Satu hadn't recognized him yet. He hoped no one would try to persuade him into joining. He was terribly inexperienced at polite refusal.

Mitsuko blinked as she glanced around, having no idea why she, or all the other first years for that matter, were there. Nothing hit her even when she noted Satu standing up on the stage. Instead, raising both arms, she waved furiously to him in greeting. She lowered her arms only when Satu asked for the attention of all the students. Deciding to behave, she stood and looked up at Satu intently, head tilted to the side. What could all of this be about?

Listening closely (and trying not to scream, 'DON'T BE NERVOUS, SATU-KUN' at the top of her lungs), it took a few moments for Mitsuko to process what had been said, before her eyes lit up. Musical? How fun! She enjoyed singing, and could play the piano, which were both a plus but...

This was going to be the kind of event, where parents could watch, wasn't it?

A grimace found it's way to the girl's face. Her parents would never allow her to join the musical - to them, they probably thought of it as a waste of her time, since she was going to be a doctor, not a singer or actress.

Feeling her face fall, she perked up again when she noticed a familar figure in front of her. Slipping through the crowd, she tackled him from behind. "Roka-kun! Musical sounds like fun, hm? Will you be joining?"

She looked up again when Satu asked for suggestions, and a frown found it's way on her face. Well...the fact she didn't know any musicals didn't really help...

((Eh, Sai still needs to meet people, but what the heck?))

Being engulfed by a sea of chattering peers was awkward for Sai, especially since she barely knew anyone yet. Sitting in a chair by the window was all she really did, simply thinking about things she had to go and gather by the time she got home. The light buzz of voices didn't bother her much.

When everyone suddenly became quiet and a blonde boy took the stage, she realized something was up. She faced forward and listened intently as to what he had to say.

Hmm... a musical, eh? This would be quite interesting.

Sai remembered when she attended high school as a freshman back in California. While participating in swimming, water polo, track, and debate, she had friends that were in band and drama. Although she was only there for one year before moving to Japan, she thoroughly enjoyed the productions they put on and the musicals that were introduced to her by them.

But this was Ouran. Could the students have diffrerent tastes in muscials than in the what she liked? If she suggested Rent would they look at her weirdly? She personally liked the broadway version of The Lion King, but that would be costly with the costumes. In the end, Sai decided to wait and hear suggestions.

... but none came within the first few minutes.

The nervous mumble made her twitch. So, she decided raise her hand, stand and speak up. "Satu--Uh, I mean, Kimura-san," Sai shuddered inwardly, realizing that she needed to get used to addressing people properly that way. "Perhaps for a suggestion, we could do Les Miserables?" Truth be told, it was her favorite musical overall. Sure, she worried about the length, the amount of characters and props, but at least it was a suggestion. If anyone else wanted to suggest something but was nervous to be the first one to say anything, now they could voice their opinion.

"OOF...!"

Roka's hopes of being unnoticed were dashed as he was tackled quite suddenly to the ground from behind. Of course, he was aware of his assailant before he even hit the floor.

"...'Tsu...Mitsuko-chan..." he groaned, trying to reclaim the breath that had been knocked from his chest. He paused, trying to think of what to say before realizing it was hopeless to tell her to be more careful. She looked happy to see him, and that banished all thoughts of scolding her from his mind. He was far too sensitive at heart to say a word against her freindly actions...even as inappropriate as they often were.

He couldn't help turning the slightest shade of pink as she lay on top of him, his silvery bangs hiding the surprise in his emerald eyes. "Mitsuko-chan," he tried again, not daring to move, "You seem...excited about the musical," he stated mildly, knowing it must have been quite an under-statement. Still, he didn't really know quite what to say.

"Ah...yes, yes it does seem fun, I suppose. Though...I can't think of any musical off the top of my head that everyone in the school would know." He sighed, his chest rising and falling softly with Mitsuko on it. His own parents had taken him and his sisters to several musicals in their childhood, so he was quite knowledgable in that field. Sitll, he wasn't sure if he could perform any.

"Um...joining?" His brows knitted distressfully. "I-I don't know yet. I might...but I don't think anyone wants to hear me sing, and while Satu seems to have gotten the music taken care of, there isn't much for me to do."

Blinking up at her, he noticed her puzzled expression and smilied, realizing her parents probably didn't take her to too many musicals as she was an aspiring doctor. "You should join, Mitsuko. You'd make a wonderful actress. And I'm certain you'd be good at singing too. Your parents can't protest because it's a student team building exercise," he pointed out.

"As far as the musical..." He put a hand to his chin thoughtfully. "I wonder if Satu would consider us making our own...we could have someone write up a story...and I...maybe I could write some music."

He shook his head abruptly. "Mmm...maybe not. That might be too much work. I just can't see why anyone would be impressed if we put on a musical that's already been preformed. Commoner schools do it all the time, don't they?" Roka's eyes widened as he realized he mentioned the 'C' word.

"Oops...Mitsuko, please don't tell anyone you heard me say that...I think some people think I hate commoners, but you know that's not true. Still, maybe it's better they think that," he whispered pleadingly.

If Mitsuko had been a dog, her tail would have been wagging behind her like a flag caught in a hurricane. "Hiiii Roka-kun!" She chriped, eyes dancing cheerfully. Like usual, she was unaware that her actions may make some people uncomfortable. She was too used to being carefree, and though she had been scolded a couple of times for being so...energetic, it never seemed to stick for long.

Cocking her head to the side as she listened to Roka, the girl nodded furiously. "It seems like fun! And Satu-kun would do an awesome job with it, I know!" Always the optimistic and confident one, she was.

"I don't know any musicals, really." She admitted, frowning. "I never got out to see any. I wish I could have, though. I would like to see a musical someday." Besides, if she wanted to join this musical, it would have helped her a little if she had some previous knowledge about it, right?

"You and Satu-kun could always work together with the music?" She pointed out. "I know Satu-kun is good with music, and so are you I'm sure, but it'd be a lot of work to do alone. Maybe he'd like some help?"

She was surprised as he spoke. For a moment, she was silent, before making a face. "Can you read minds, Roka-kun?" She demanded, teasingly. Then, "I guess if you put it that way, I could join..." She hesitated, "I do like singing. Though if being an actress involves getting a role with a lot of walking, running, or dancing in high heels or something..." A grimace.

It would have been smart of Mitsuko to realize she was still on top of Roka by this point, as they had attracted the attention of a few students around them. Not too many, luckily, and this would sink into Mitsuko's head...eventually.

At Roka's idea, she perked up. "That'd be a good idea though, Roka-kun!" She said, excitedly. "It WOULD be a lot of work, but it'd be fun too! And we students at Ouran are known for being hardworking, if you ask me!"

Mitsuko calmed down enough to listen to Roka's whispering, before giving him an assuring smile. "I won't." She promised, with a single nod of her head. "Roka-kun is a good person. Those who think he hates those who are less fortunate don't know him well enough."

Smiling at him, she blinked and glanced up as another student cleared their throat. "Whoops!" Standing up hastily, she brushed herself off, holding out a hand to help Roka up. "Sorry, Roka-kun! I didn't mean to tackle you that hard!" This apology was...a little late. Just a 'little'.

Grinning at the mention of his recent aquaintance, Roka nodded solemnly. "I'm sure he will. He's quite a talented musician. You should hear him play sometime, if you haven't already. He and I were going to propose a music club to the school board together. Though I'm sure I've already mentioned it numerous times before - please forgive me for being repetitive."

With a sympathetic smile, the silver-haired youth made himself comfortable by folding his arms behind his head. He imagined he would be there a while. "Don't worry, Mitsuko-chan. I'll make sure you get to. I still owe you a favor, remember? For your gracious handkercheif. Perhaps your parents wouldn't mind it if mine offered to take you to a showing? I doubt mine would have enough time to attend a musical with us these days, but I could take you if you'd like. That is, if you're comfortable with it. My sisters could attend with us too, if that's what you want."

Somehow he didn't think Mitsuko was one to worry about being uncomfortable around people, even with guys. Her position at the moment was proof of that. But he didn't want her parents thinking badly of him or his family. If they asked, he'd let them know that there was going to be a musical performed at school and that Mitsuko would be greatly benefitted by attending at least one to see what they were like.

At Mitsuko's kind but empty compliment, Roka heaved another sigh, but with a sheepish expression. "I'm afraid you've yet to hear me play, Mitsuko. Yes, it may be a lot of work for Satu, and I'll help him with what I can, but I doubt it'll be much. I'm not a very talented musician. I taught myself, you see, and he's had tutors. But that's a very considerate thought. I'll keep it in mind."

Blinking, he returned her strange face with a puzzled look. "Read minds? Whatever gave you that idea, Mitsuko-chan? Were you considering the same excuse?" With a playful wink, he tapped her on the nose. "Tell you what: if you sign up for actress, I'll sign up for possible actor, as long as it's not a major role. Mind you, I'll only be doing it to keep an eye on you on stage, and maybe help you out a bit. I've seen my fair share of musicals, so I imagine I have a basic knowledge of how the whole thing works. And I may not be talented at playing an instrument, but singing isn't too difficult and I daresay I've had some experience in acting already."

The image of himself in his sister's dress at Mitsuko's party came to mind. The very thought made his now pierced ears ring in disdain. Luckily, no one seemed to noticed they were pierced yet, but he dare not let them close up in fear that in the future his sisters would repeat the process. He didn't think he could bear such unspeakable pain a second time. Just because it was cartilage didn't mean it didn't hurt.

Used to ignoring the attention and opinions of other students, Roka hardly minded the others' stares. It wasn't as if any of them were bold enough to confront a pair of Class 1-A students about their behavior anyway. And what did he care for the opinions of cowards?

"You think so?" he asked, surprised by Mitsuko's sudden enthusiasm. "We'd have to run it by Satu of course, but I believe you have an excellent point there. What better way to prove how hardworking we are? And this way we can all come up with an original idea together - one all of us can agree on."

With a grateful dip of his head, Roka thanked Mitsuko and relaxed. He could trust her to keep a secret. However, her following words astonished him, so that he wasn't quite sure what to say in reply. "I...you're too kind, Mitsuko-chan," he replied hesitantly, looking the least bit flustered and red in the face.

His blush only deepened as Mitsuko stood, finally aware of the awkwardness of her position. "Not at all! Not at all. I actually find it rather amusing. Besides...my sisters do it to me all the time. I should be used to it by now." Beaming at her in embarressment, he tugged on his silver locks absently.

Happily, the girl nodded her head. "I haven't heard him play, but I'm sure I will soon. I've heard he's very talented though!" Then, she quickly waved her hand. "There's nothing I have to forgive, silly. I think I repeat myself more than a broken record." Mitsuko grinned, poking Roka. "And you can't really deny it."

Thank goodness Mitsuko didn't weigh a ton, or else poor Roka would have been a pancake. At the offer, however, her eyes lit up. "That would be fun, Roka-kun!" She said, with a bright smile, "Though," The girl added, with a small pause, "You shouldn't have to think of it as owing me a favour. You had terrible allergies that day - it would have been silly of me not to help." After a second, she smiled again, "But really, it would be fun if you could take me to a musical! And if you're sisters want to come, I'd like to meet all of them." She said, not quite understanding his comment about being comfortable, and the 'if that's what you want'.

Afterall, Mitsuko was much like a young child still. Naive, curious, and clueless. That being said, she did, at the very least, have a serious side. It just fails to show through, about 90% of the time.

The girl pouted. "Okay, so I haven't heard you play, but I believe you can play well." She declared, with a stubborn nod of her head, before breaking into another smile, her eyes encouraging. "I'm sure you'll be a lot of help to Satu-kun. And even if you're self taught, that doesn't mean you're not good, right?"

Mitsuko gave Roka and innocent smile in response. "Of course I didn't consider the excuse." Well, Mitsuko was a bad liar. Then, listening to him, her eyes seemed to widen in surprise for a moment, before she tackled him in another hug. "Hee! Deal! I'll need your advice onstage if I get a part anyways." Then, she sighed, poking Roka lightly on the forehead. "I'm sure - I know- you are talented at playing instruments, Roka-kun." She insisted. "You just need a little more confidence." Mitsuko teased, giggling.

It took a moment for what he said to sink in. When it did, the girl cocked her head to the side. "You've had experience in acting before?" For a moment, it looked as if she were about to ask in what, but instead, she grinned, "That's good then! It'll help if you join the musical!"

"And yes, I think so!" She nodded eagerly as he spoke. "Should I raise my hand right now, and suggest it? And see what all the other students think?"

Head tilted to the side, the girl blinked, before giving him another of her happy smiles. "Not at all, Roka-kun." She chirped. "You're just a really nice person."

Mitsuko covered her mouth to muffle a giggle. "Your sisters do it all the time? No wonder you took my tackle so well." Then, a small frown found it's way to her face. "You aren't hurt though, are you?"

"It seems he's taken lessons for the violin, piano, and the flute. He's quite well rounded," Roka agreed. He beamed radiantly at her reply, his emerald eyes bright with silent laughter. "Hmm...I don't know...I have some pretty scratched up records..."

Glad she approved of the idea, he basked in the warmth of her smile. "I'm pleased you think so. Very well - I'll arrange it whenever you're free. Perhaps this weekend?" Roka listened attentively, shaking his head. "I suppose you're right, Mitsuko-chan. But it wasn't your obliigation to help, it was your morals, and I do owe you some favor. I promised I'd make it up to you, though if you would rather some other way than this, I don't mind. I'll take you to a musical regardless, however. I think you'll really enjoy yourself."

The corner of his mouth twitched in a half-smile as the idea of his sisters meeting Mitsuko came to mind. "Very well, if you so wish them to come. Though I warn you...they can be quite...obnoxious. At least the younger two. Ever since you sent the invitation for your birthday, they interrogated me about you and now they're dying to meet you. Ah...and all three of them are quite enthusiatic about musicals. Though as you seem to share that enthusiasm, I think it's fair to say you four will get along quite nicely."

"Mitsuko-chan, you've too much faith in me," Roka smirked. "I'd wish you didn't over-estimate me. I'd hate to disappoint you if you ever do hear me play." Her brilliantly vivid green eyes captured him, however, and they gave him some courage. "I suppose not. But it's similar to a child trying to teach themselves how to read. Pretty soon they start making words up and believe that they're actually understanding the printed letters."

He raised a brow at her badly-hidden lie, confused, when she unexpectedly tackled him a second time. This time, his crimson face paled. "'Tsuko-chan...sweetheart...you really need to warn me about these things..." he whispered quietly, though there was a hint of amusement behind his tone. "I'm used to being tackled, yes, but...sisters are a bit different from classmates, you know? And...they're a lot younger..."

Roka wasn't sure if Mitsuko would understand with her being an only child and all, but he didn't think it would be okay to have her making a habit out of this. He didn't mind too much, but he didn't want anyone thinking badly of the girl if she went around hugging all the guys like this. He knew her better than to think the gesture meant anything beyond friendship, but that didn't make him any more used to her mature feminine form clinging to him.

"Advice?" He stared at her blankly. Her gleeful expression won him over. "Well...I'll try. I've no doubt you'll get a part, but you can't blame me if they choose not to take me on, okay? If I'm not accepted as an actor, I'll work backstage and keep an eye on you from there. I just think it'll be easier if I can actually be there to catch you if you trip or something." As she poked his forehead, he stumbled backward slightly, surprised by her action. "Confidence...ah, yes, well...all that will do is allow me to play the piano horribly with confidence. But if anyone can help me in that department, I'm sure it'd be you."

As the bronze-haired girl tilted her head curiously, Roka found his fingers going to his hair again, where he liked to twirl them when nervous. Snatching his hand away to prevent his girlish habit, he grinned guiltily and scratched the back of his neck instead. That's what guys did, wasn't it? "Ah...only a little. My sisters and I used to play dress up when we were younger. I, uh...they tended to force me to play the main character all the time." The main character being the damsel in distress. Always. Of course he wasn't about to tell Mitsuko that. Roka bit his lip as he realized he'd never had any experience in acting as someone who wasn't wearing a dress. Come to think of it, the only role he'd probably ever be good at would be a female one. There was no way that was happening. His parents would never allow it. That was out of the question But he would have try out as a male character anyway - for Mitsuko's sake. It was just unlikely that he would get the part.

"Be my guest," Roka encouraged, gestuing toward the stage. "Better you than me. As Class 1-A's president, I'm sure your opinion is more highly valued than my own. Especially since you're considerate enough to keep in mind the others' opinions." He smiled faintly at her, seeing within her a somwhat naive but very thoughtful leader. Truly, it was the ones who seemed the least probable that made the best leaders.

Disarmed by yet another of her happy smiles, the silver-haired student replied with a small but sincere one of his own. "If that's your opinion of me, Mitsuko-chan," he told her softly, almost sadly, "then I'm afraid maybe you're the one who doesn't know me well enough. But as long as you continue to think this well of me, then I hope you never do."

Turning away from her, he laughed quietly, unable to stifle it. "Indeed. But no, I'm not hurt. Don't worry about me; go ahead and suggest that idea. And sign up for the acting. Please excuse me - I have to go speak to Satu personally about a few things. You just enjoy yourself."

He hesitated before leaving. "Oh - and don't forget about asking your parents about the musical. Call me so we can schedule a time, okay?"

Minori stood in the doorway, hugging her books to her chest as she watched Satu give a speech on stage. He seemed rather nervous; so she kept sending him mental messages through her brain, "Go, Satu!" Although she knew he couldn't hear it, of course. A musical? Eyes widened in interest. The only musicals she knew of were Phantom of the Opera, Wicked and High School Musical. If the last one was counted. But really, Minori had a deep passion for singing. A sigh escaped her lips as she heard him mentioned designers. Pssh. And as always, her parents would push her into that mould. It wasn't as though Minori didn't like designing, on the contrary, she loved it. She just wished she could try something else, acting, for example.

And so, she continued standing there, watching the rest chatter together. Perhaps she would just have nothing to do with this.

Satu Kimura

Satu, who was unfortinatly still standing on the stage, felt his nerves coming back to him. What if no one liked his idea? When muttering ensued the butterflies that had been subdued untill now came back with full force. He suddenly felt quite queezy. It seemd most people could care less about him or his idea. He knew he should have gotten someone from class 1 A to present the idea to the year. After all, he was considered a lesser being in their eyes. But from his post on stage he could see a few people, his friend, looking up at him. Would they shun his idea too, like the rest of the year had? All the confidence he had had a few seconds earlier had now miraculously vanished, making the boy feel as though he was going to faint any minute. He breathed in deeply, waiting, hoping for atleast one suggestion to come.

Then he heard it, someone called him for his attention. He looked into the crowd, trying to focus against the little black stops which had started to invade his vision. Then she was. He breathed a sigh of relief. A suggestion, finally. "Thank you, Shirakawa-san." he said, remembering to be polite while he was on stage. She had asked him to call her by her first name but he couldn't do that infront of the entire year group. His blue eyes thanked her more prufously. "Thats a very good suggestion. I do like that musical..." he trailed off rather oddly. His inner mind had now descided to think about that musical. When it was finally happy with how they could produce it Satu snapped out of his rather odd daze. "Yes-yes, very good suggestion."

He walked over to a little white board that stood in the middle of the stage. His walk was rather unsteady, as he was still a little dizzy with nerves but with a perfectly steady hand he wrote the first suggestion on the board in increadibly neat cursive writing. He walked back to the mic again. "Um....any more suggestions then?" His voice was a little more steady this time. The fact that atleast one person liked his idea gave him a small boost of confindence. Satu stood in the middle of the stage, trying to keep his confident exterior on show, despite the fact that he currently wanted to run off the stage screaming quite loudly. He prevented his urge though and stood there, waiting for another suggestion, his face expessionless and unreadable.

"Wow!" Mitsuko's eyebrows shot up in surprise, before she laughed. "I will have to get him to play for me sometime!" Then, the girl covered her mouth to stifle a giggle. "Not as stratched up and record-y as me though, I'm sure."

Tapping her chin, Mitsuko looked thoughtful for a moment, before giving a nod. "This weekend would be fine," She said, finally, unable to contain her excitement. As a child, she didn't get out all the much, so she missed out on a lot of things. It would be nice to finally get a chance to see a musical. Then, she grinned at Roka. "If you have to make it up to me, then the musical will do, Roka-kun. I don't want to have to take away more of your time by paying back a favour...that I still don't think is a favour." She stuck out her tounge, before smiling. "I know I will. And thank you for offering to bring me." Mitsuko said warmly.

"It'd be nice to meet your sisters though, and I'm probably pretty obnoxious myself, sometimes." She replied, with a soft laugh. "From what you've said, we do seem similar in some ways. I hope we do get along!"

Reaching up to put a hand on Roka's head, she grinned. "I have faith in you because I know you aren't as bad as you insist you are. Besides...you can't be any worse then I am." Mitsuko wrinkled her nose. Yeah. Other then singing, and a teeeny bit of piano, one should never give her an intrument, or else all they'll hear for a few hours is buzzing in their ears. "But the fact you're aware of this," She said, impling what he said about a child reading, "Usually help you avoid doing exactly that."

Hearing his voice lower to a whisper, Mitsuko pulled back, listening to what he said, before sighing. "'Tsuko is sorry, Roka-kun. And yes, I guess I understand that sisters and classmates are different. And they are younger, so they're probably a lot lighter." She admitted. Yeah...she didn't really exactly get what Roka meant. As it was obvious.

Dense. Densedensedense.

"I hope I'll get a part. Of course, it won't be guranteed. And of course I won't blame you if they don't pick you. It'd be silly to blame a friend for something that's technically not their fault." When Roka stumbled backwards, the girl reached out to grab his arm instictively, before noticing with relief that he hadn't fallen. Oops - maybe she should be a little more careful. "I'd be happy to help you, in exchange for you helping me."

Mitsuko blinked as she caught the fact that he seemed a little nervous. Dismissing it, and telling herself it was probably none of her business, she listened intently, before grinning sympathetically. "Forced you to play the main character? Poor Roka-kun. But at least it's given you a sort of experience with acting?"

"Alrighty, then!" She nodded, before grinning. "Roka-kun, everyones opinion is valued here at Ouran. No one will probably value my opinion more than yours."

For a moment, as he spoke, she was silent, but then she gave a little sigh. "I am aware a lot of students probably hide their true selves from everyone else here in Ouran. You are, however, a friend. Even if you've been wearing a mask all this time, or have things you don't want me or others knowing, that won't change." Mitsuko said, with a smile. "It's not really my place to judge others, but you've been kind to me, so I still see you as a good person."

Mitsuko looked thoughtful, "If you're sure you're alright..." Then, she nodded at his suggestions. "I will! And alrighty then, Roka-kun. See you laterrr~"

Before she could turn back, she caught Roka's voice, and looked at him again, before the corner of her lips tugged upwards in another smile. "I will, Roka-kun. It'll be the first thing I do, once I get home..." She then frowned, and furrowed her brows, "If I remember...maybe I should write it down..."

Turning back, she listened to the suggestion that was made, before blinking blankly. Perhaps it really was a good thing Roka had offered to take her to a musical. From what she could tell, none of the musical names that would be thrown out would make any sense to her.

Noting his nervousness, the girl rose her hand. "Kimura-san?" She chriped, deciding to keep it polite as well, "Would it be possible if we made our own musical? Granted that it'd be a lot of work, but that way we have more freedom to write our own music, and make up parts for the actors and actresses depending on their talents." As she spoke, she nodded towards him in an encouraging way. 'Fwah, don't be nervous, Satu-kun!' She thought.

Roka shook his head as he walked away through the crowd, smiling to himself. He didn't care what anyone else said about Mitsuko's mentality. She was far wiser than she appeared - more so than almost anyone else he had ever met.

It wasn't her flattering compliments or her deep modesty; those could be feigned easily by any student in the school. It was her bold and absolute honesty. For some reason he felt obligated to reflect on her inspiring advice. She gave him courage through her words, so that even if he didn't believe in himself, he knew at least someone did.

Sure, Mitsuko may not always have exactly understood what he was trying imply, but Roka decided it was perhaps better that way. He didn't think of it as stupidity or ignorance; more as a satement of her innocence despite her ordinary life. A life filled with its own problems just like everyone else, but with a praticularly upbeat girl not only to live it, but to make the best out of it. How he both admired and envied her for it. It was she who inspired him to do things he would not normally do, such as requesting to be part of the musical.

'Hide their ture selves.' That's what she had said, wasn't it? The statement clearly proved Mitsuko was not as oblivious to the darker sides of the students attending Ouran as some may have suspected. But she was still willing to trust those whom she did not know; those she could not see behind their masks, even when she did not wear one of her own to protect her. That took true courage.

Well, then, who was he to disappoint her? If she thought well of him, he would do his best to live up to her expectations. And not falsely, either. He would be the best person he could be worthy of her trust. Already he felt he trusted her the same. After all, it was difficult not to confide in someone who acted so natuarally sweet and kind. Perhaps...if she really wished to know one day, he'd tell her about his part in his sisters' games. That was, if they didn't blab to her first.

Nevertheless, he was already looking forward to her call, and this weekend. As of late he hadn't found much enjoyment in attending musicals as he used to, considering how many he had already seen. But with Mitsuko along, it was sure to be a fastinating experience. It would be as if he were watching through her eyes and the beautiful performances that had captured and inspired him as a child would be like new. He wondered what musicals she might enjoy watching. Perhaps he could make a list when he got home...there would be much to prepare...and much teasing from his sisters to endure. Not that he minded.

In the meantime, however, he rose to acsend the steps backstage, catching the faint sound of voices beyond the curtain. Satu was calling on people for suggestions it seemed. He would hear Mitsuko soon enough.

Parting the curtains, Roka stepped through to stand beside Satu, grinning at the nervous, blonde young man. "You're a genius, Satu-kun," Roka laughed, gently patting him on the back. "This was a brilliant idea. Everyone loves it! And who better to pull it off than you? Though I figured for now this stage would be too much for you not to share. Mind if I join you for a bit?"

He regarded the blank face of the boy on center stage and playfully tapped him on the shoulder. "You don't look too well, Kimura. Would you like me to write for you while you stay at the microphone? Or would you rather the other way around?" Roka inquired in a low whisper. Satu looked almost about ready to faint. Sure, it may have been difficult for an ordinary student to spot, but Roka found it particularly easy to see through the false show of confidence. Particularly because he practiced it so often himself.

"Just remember: you're not alone in this," Roka reminded him, clasping him on the shoulder. "A lot of people down there are supporting you. You mentioned something about a team-building excersie, yes?" He looked into the musician's deep blue eyes. "We'll make this work, and we'll do it together."

Satu almost jumped a foot in the air when he discovered Roka standing beside him. He had been concentrating so hard not to throw up that he hadn't noticed the boy beside him until he spoke. He blushed slightly. "Um...thank you." he said with difficulty. "Really?" he asked him, quite sincerly, covering the mic with his hand so the people on the floor couldn't hear. "It doesn't seem that they care too much one way or anything." he said as he looked nervously back down at the crowd, most of whom seemed utterly bored. He then felt sick again and looked back at Roka. "Ple-please do." he said, his eyes pleading with him not to leave him on the stage alone.

Satu shook his head from side to side, felt quite dizzy at the movement and quickly stopped before he fainted. "If you would write that would be great. But I think I have to stay on the mic, more for myself then anything else. I think I have to finish this....I don't know why but I really feel I must." he said quietly. It was true though. He had worked himself up so much to do this that quitting now simply didn't seem like an option anymore. He had to finish it or he would simply feel that this whole thing was a waste of time. After all, this was Satu trying to conqour very obvious stage fright. He wanted to end this fear and this was the only way how.

Satu breathed quite deeply as Rokas words comforted him. His face was still increadibly pale but the greenish tint which had formed on it earlier seemed to be getting slightly better. "Thank you Roka." he said, breathing deepily again and looking back into the crowd.

Then he heard Mitsukos voice. Their own musical huh? He had never thought of that before. It seemed like an increadibly interesting idea in his opinion. She was right though, it would be ALOT of work, but he was certainly willing to give 100% if everyone else would be. "Our own musical? Wow thats certainly an interesting idea." he said, his mind lost in thought. "I...I like the idea. I'd be willing to give it a go if everyone else would be." he said, looking down at the crowd and then over at Roka.

"You're very welcome," The silver-haired boy replied with a courteous nod of his head. He smiled guiltily, not having meant to startle his poor, nervous friend.

"Nonsense," Roka laughed quietly at Satu's comment. "They're just as shy as you are. About the performance, I mean. Not all of them can be as enthusiastic as Mitsuko-chan down there." He nodded toward the audience. "Being on stage is a frightening experience. But it can be fun too, and those who know that will be the first to sign up. We just have to remind them that it's not as bad as it seems." He offered a reassuring grin, his emerald eyes dancing with amusement.

At Satu's request, Roka bowed shortly at the waist and went to take up the white board. "As you wish, Mr. Director," he teased, pleased with the choice. Satu was really struggling to do his best, Roka could tell. He admired the determination and resovle that Satu put into his efforts. While he was an expert when it came to playing classical music, it seemed public speaking was something he was working at little by little. No matter. All great things took time.

"Of course, Satu. Anytime," the Toshiro boy replied quietly, watching him. He was a very able person, that Kimura. He would be just fine.

At Mitsuko's suggestion and Satu's glance, Roka merely offered a faint smile with a slight tilt of his head. He began to write the suggestion on the board, thankful to Mitsuko for suggesting it in his place. After all, it was her who had inspired him to think up the idea and her who had encouraged it.
