"Heeeey! Alimet, stop it!"
Mitsuko yelped as her large husky broke into a dash, literally dragging the girl down the sidewalk, as if she were on rollerblades. With one hand, Mitsuko had wrapped Alimet's leash firmly around her wrist and in the other, she propped up a bag that was slung over her shoulder. Inside the bag came a plainative meow, before the orange tabby stuck it's head out. Glancing from Mitsuko, to the source of the trouble, it let out another meow, which the dog ignored completely.
'So this is why none of the maids like to take Alimet out for a walk...' Mitsuko thought, emitting a little laugh despite the fact she was still technically getting dragged around. 'Alimet IS a large dog...' Well, maybe large was an understatement, 'But that's okay. If no one else wants to walk him, I will.' As she thought this, another meow came from her bag, and she added, 'But maybe not Razi. He probably can't take all the excitement.' Odd thoughts to have while being dragged by your dog.
Finally, growing tired of running with so much extra weight, Alimet slow to a walk. Mitsuko almost fell at the sudden change of pace, but managed to steady herself. With a sigh of relief, she glanced around, blinking. "How'd we end up at the park?" Mitsuko took in the sight of the benches and playground equipment with another blink, and shake of her head.
Whoops, they went a little farther than expected.

Finally, he had some time to himself. Time to relax and loosen his tie, so to speak. Katsuo took up so much space on the park bench only because he was laying down. If he actually cared what strangers thought of him, he would have changed a long time ago. Because he knew he'd likely never see anyone he knew in a park, however, he made himself as comfortable as possible. Considering it was public enough for his parents to worry about his safety, none of his friends would be anywhere near it. It was almost the perfect getaway.
If he could manage to ignore all of the other people, that is.
Cranking up his music to seclude himself as best he could, Arata didn't notice the girl with the dog rushing toward him. It was only when she zoomed by that he snapped out of his musical daze. Oh, right, there were other people using the park. Considering how loud the music was, they might be able to hear it, too. Even if he didn't really want to associate with all of the other foreign parkgoers, he knew that he had to at least be considerate to them. Sighing, he turned the music down enough to catch the end of Mitsuko's sentence.
At first, he blinked, unsure of whether she was talking to herself or not. Now that the volume was lowered, he could actually hear what people were saying. The only question now was whether they'd been meaning to think out loud or speak with him. It was also the only problem he had with drowning out the rest of the world. Finally deciding to speak up, he moved to a more comfortable position. "Did you say something, miss?" Why he was talking to her, he might never know. But he might as well, being as he was so rude to shove her and the rest of the park out of his thoughts.

Frowning, she glanced around, head tilted to the side. Well, they were far, but not THAT far, she figured. She could just walk back home, instead of calling and asking someone to pick her up. If she could help it, she prefered not to add to the maid and butlers workloads.
A sudden woof caused her to look down at the culprit - the one who decided it'd be fun to drag his owner and his kitten friend around. She wagged a finger at him. "Bad Alimet. You need to be more obedient!" She scolded, trying to look firm. That was hard for Mitsuko though, as after a second, she broke into a grin, kneeling and stratching her dog on the head fondly. "But you're who you are. We can't change you, hm?"
Catching the voice of someone else speaking, the girl looked up, before turning her attention the the boy who had spoke. Rising slowly, wobbly as she was more vunerable to falling when trying to rise, she mentally let out a sigh of relief as she stayed upright. Then, she flapped a hand towards Katsuo. "Nothing, nothing!" She chirped, cheerily. "Was just talking to mysel - "
Before she could continue, she could feel the tabby kitten wriggle in her bag, it's head poking out. Then, it leapt out gracefully, landing on it's paws. "Hey, Razi!" The girl yelped, trying to pick the feline up. It, however, ignored her and darted towards the bench, leaping up and pressing it's cheek against Katsuo's hand, demanding attention from the boy. So what if he was a stranger? If it meant attention, the little kitten wouldn't care.
"Wah! I'm sorry! Razi, don't bother people!" Mitsuko yelped.

...So she'd been talking to the dog. All right. Her appearance had temporarily taken him away from his music, but nothing too serious. She seemed like a nice enough girl, after all. If a bit quick to switch from firm to overly compassionate.
That dog was huge, though! No wonder she was so easily pulled around by it. Even more of a reason to forgive the minor intrusion, though. "All right. Just wondering." His hands went toward the headphones around his neck to pull them back up. He began moving to regain the spot he'd given up seconds before when the girl had come. It didn't seem as though she needed his help -at least for the moment, so what was the harm in enjoying some music during his short free time before he would have to silence it during the day? "If you were just talking to yourself, then I sup-" What was that? Something small and orange flew out of her bag and was heading straight toward him.
His eyes squinted in an attempt to get a better look at the blur. It obviously had fur and a tail. Too fast to be a dog, so it had to be a... He dropped his headphones, though one had already been on his ear. Katsuo was in an odd position, having been caught somewhere in between laying and sitting. Now that he had a kitten on his lap, there was nothing he could do about moving unless he wanted the feline to fall to the ground. Deciding to do what it wanted him to, he laughed and began petting it. "Don't worry about it! I don't mind giving it some attention, as long as it's fine with you." He smiled to the girl. He didn't mind petting it -though it would have been a lot better if he'd gotten some warning before it hopped up onto his lap.

Holding onto the large husky's leash firmly, the girl cast a firm look at him. In response, the husky merely stuck out it's tongue, panting with a mischevious glint in his eyes. Hiding a sigh, Mitsuko turned her attention back to the boy Razi seemed to have decided that he wanted attention from.
Mitsuko blinked in surprise, before grinning. "If you don't mind him, it's fine with me! I still am sorry though. I didn't expect him to leap out like that!" Bending over the kitten as it turned to stare at her, she stuck out her tongue. "Silly Razi. You're learning bad habits from Alimet now." The kitten flicked his tail, emitted a small meow, before purring as Katsuo pet him. This earned a laugh from Mitsuko.
Her gaze drifting to the boy, she smiled cheerily. "Nice day, hm?" She then furrowed her brows. "Oh! I didn't introduce myself! I'm -"
She broke off with a yelp, as she lost her balance, falling over and landing on her bottom. "Ow..." Confused as to how she had fallen, she glanced at her legs, frowning as she noticed Alimet's leash wrapped around them. Looks like when she was busy talking, the dog had gone for a run around her legs. Like usual, Mitsuko hadn't noticed it until too late.
Rubbing at her side, she gave Katsuo a sheepish grin. "Mitsuko. Takara Mitsuko. Nice to meet you?"

With Razi safely (and comfortably) in his lap, Katsuo began adjusting his vest. The sudden appearance of the kitten had made him jolt slightly, causing the vest to fall off of his shoulder. He should have had it zipped up -if he had, he probably wouldn't have had the problem that he was having now. Managing to continue petting the cat with one hand and adjusting the brown article of clothing, Katsuo kept his gaze on Mitsuko.
"He's not doing me any harm, so I suppose that there's no reason for me to be against whatever makes him comfortable." He blinked in surprise when she stuck out her tongue, thinking momentarily that it was meant for him. Confusion stuck quickly and made him stop petting the cat for a few seconds. He quickly began again once Mitsuko had clarified that it was for Razi. "Better watch out, or they'll both end up horribly spoiled." Though it seemed that he wasn't helping that at all.
When she began falling, he almost jumped out of his seat to try to catch her -a reflex he didn't know he had. Only managing to stop himself milliseconds before he caused Razi to either decide to claw into him or fall. One of his arms flailed in circles in an attempt to stop himself or regain his balance. It failed. Stuck half-standing and completely off-balance, Katsuo fell back onto the bench.
He flopped onto the bench relatively hard, making him lose his air. Taking it back in a deep breath, he put a hand on his chest. "My name's Arata Katsuo. Nice to meet you, Mitsuko." He nodded to her, smiling. "Are you okay?" He asked, looking down at the leash that was wrapped around her legs.

Eying the kitten, Mitsuko's gaze flickered to Katsuo for a split second to make sure he really wasn't upset about the suddenly appearence of the kitten. Satisfied he wasn't that bothered by it, the girl grinned brightly at the boy.
"Well, I suppose if you don't mind, it's fine." Reaching her arms up and stretching, she stopped mid stretch to blink at Katsuo at his comment, before laughing. "Sadly, they're both already spoiled. My maids and house staff tend to spoil them." Only after she spoke, did she realize what she had said. SHOOT. So much for trying to blend in like a commoner. "So uh, you come out here often?" She asked, hastily, hoping he hadn't heard the last part. Her mother and father always told her not to tell others outside of Ouran about their family.
Trying to ignore the pain in her side - she had gotten rather used to it though, after the many daily tumbles she took - Mitsuko caught Katsuo flopping back onto the bench out of the corner of her eye. Frowning, she tilted her head to the side. "Ouch, that looked like it kinda hurt. Are you alright?"
Then, she flashed him a smile. "Nice to meetcha, Katsuo-kun! And I'm fine. I fall often." Nodding, she rose slowly, supporting herself on the side of the bench, and frowning down at the husky. "Bad Alimet. If mother and father took you out for a walk, and you did that, they would be very upset with you." She scolding, wagging a finger. 'Not that they ever would take him out for a walk...' The girl thought, with a sigh as she began to untangle the leash from her legs.

So much for spending a relaxing day in the park by himself. Not that he minded having company. Mitsuko wasn't being bothersome, so it wasn't that much of a loss.
My only problem might come when he has to go. He hoped silently that Razi wouldn't mind leaving the comfort of his lap when it came time for him to leave. "My house staff is the same way. I'm surprised that the animals in my house aren't amazingly overweight yet." Unlike her, Katsuo apparently didn't realize what he was saying. Or he didn't really care -probably the later. "A lot, actually. It's a nice place to relax and listen to music. Especially over here, since not a lot of people pass this far into the park." He nodded seriously with his headphones bobbing up and down.
His backside was slightly sore from the fall onto the hard bench. Right, these weren't cushioned or soft... He'd forgotten that, even though he'd been sitting there for some time. "Don't worry, I'm fine. I landed on my butt." It didn't hurt that much, after all. Not enough to make him believe anything to be in pain for more than a few minutes, at most.
He returned her smile, though still slightly concerned. His fall was a lot smaller than hers was, yet she was worrying about him? Nice girl. "If you're sure, then okay." Continuing the slow petting, he listened to Mitsuko scold her dog lightly.

Razi's tail flickered back and forth as he purred loudly, looking up at the boy with his brown eyes. Sticking out his tounge, the kitten licked at Katsuo's hand with it's sandpapery tounge, asking, in his own feline way, if the boy was alright when he fell onto the bench.
Nodding furiously as Katsuo spoke, what he was saying didn't hit Mitsuko until a moment after. Eye widening, she blinked a few times. "You have house staff too? Then that must mean..." Trailing off, the girl looked thoughtful, a finger to her chin. "Katsuo-kun, you attend Ouran High School as well?"
"And it is a nice place." The girl agreed, whole heartedly. "I don't get a chance to come down here often, unfortunately. I just happened to get dragged down here today." Literally dragged, as Katsuo was aware.
Continuing to unwrap the leash from around her legs, Mitsuko tilted her head, frowning. "You sure? The bench looks rather hard..." She eyed the bench with a frown.
"Yepyep, I'm fine!" She chirped, finally getting free of the dog leash. "As I said, I usually fall." She paused, to grin. "I really am a klutz."

Katsuo hadn't been expecting the rough cat's tongue to suddenly make direct contact with his skin. The feeling sent a chill down his spine, making him sit up a bit straighter. Once he figured out what the source of the feeling was, however, he looked down at Razi with relief. The small cat obviously hadn't meant any harm in it -quite the opposite, really. Mitsuko's question made Katsuo nervous for a few seconds. Hadn't his father told him something along the lines of not telling just anyone about where he went to school? But wait, she'd said... "I actually just transfered in. I wouldn't have guessed that you go there."
"Yeah, it is. I have yet to find a better place to relax." He actually hadn't had nearly enough time to explore the city -even though it was his own home town. "It is, but I'm sure that it's no big deal." He nodded, affirming his own thoughts. Her constant falling concerned him slightly, however. "Yikes. That's really unlucky." He smiled again.

Tail twitching in what seemed like amusement at the boy's response, Razi let out a small meow, before turning to watch his owner, and then Alimet, with could have been described as embarassment in a cat's expression.
Wrapping the end of the leash around her hand a few times, Mitsuko looked back up as Katsuo spoke, before grinning, and clapping her hands together. "I thought so! What class are you in, Katsuo-kun? I'm in Class 1-A." She paused, before tilting her head. "And oh? Why wouldn't you have thought I attend Ouran?" She asked with a grin, curious.
"This park is rather nice. So it the garden at Ouran, but I suppose you wouldn't want to spend all your free time so close to the school hm?" Sitting at the edge of the bench, Mitsuko stretched. "Mm. I think I was born clumsy. I walked into a few people, and a tree on my first day of high school. That, and the same morning, I tumbled down my stairs at home." Even as she said this, she had the same, silly smile on her face.

Katsuo's hand was beginning to cramp up from all of the petting he was doing. He took a break for a few seconds. Razi probably wouldn't mind, would he? Especially since he started up again only a few moments after.
The teen was relatively astonished to find that another Ouran student was actually in the park. He had yet to actually go to his new high school, but if it was anything like his old school -full of rich kids with annoying attitudes- then it was amazing that they'd be seen in public, let alone walking their dog. "I'm in 1-B, actually." So they wouldn't be in the same class. Oh well. It'd be too coincedental if they did. "It's just that I had a certain image of an Ouran student in my head. Luckily, you don't match with it." He was glad of that.
"You're dangerously clumsy, then." His eyes widened with the slightest bit of concern. He didn't believe in bad luck, but if he had... No, that wasn't right. Her family was prosperous, not to mention the fact that she was happy. Obviously so, too. "And that was just your first day? I hesitate to ask what happened in the days following it."

The cat's tail twitched lazily as he was pet. Even when Katsuo paused, the feline didn't bat an eye. He had been certain the boy would resume his petting after a few moments. Afterall, he was too elegent a cat not to admire and pet - or so he self claimed, as a cat.
Oblivious to Katsuo's thoughts on his previous school, the girl happily swung her legs back and forth while perched on the edge of the bench. When he spoke, she turned to listen intently, before sighing as he face fell. "Aw, 1-B? Darn! You won't be in my class." Then, she paused, looking thoughtful before another grin spread over her face. "But we'll see each other at lunchtime, right?" Shuffling a little farther back onto the bench, she turned her attention to the sky, listening to his words thoughtfully, before emitting a small laugh. "I've been told that a lot, actually. But everyone I've met at Ouran so far are really nice! I'm sure you'll agree too, once you meet all of them!"
"Yepyep! Mother and father always did call me the walking hazard! They're both doctors, so they had their work cut out for them when I was younger, since I would constantly hurt myself." Mitsuko made a face, "And even now, some of my maids follow my around because they're always on edge that I'll suddenly fall."
Brushing some of her hair out of her face, the girl nodded. "Yep, the first day! I don't think you'll want to hear about the other days." She paused, to grin sheepishly. "They're worse."

Idlely, Katsuo began to think about his own pets while continuing to pet Razi. He'd never actually spent enough time with his own animals before -maybe when he got home he would give them more of his time. He wasn't even sure if he saw them enough for them to remember his face.
The park was a really calming place, even with the impending school days coming up soon. He wasn't nervous about them, but had he been bothered by the thought of transfering schools, he would definitely frequent the park more often. "That means we won't have any of the same classes, right?" He shrugged. The class system was still too complex for him to bother with. "Yeah, I'm sure we will. We'll might see each other around the halls, too." Noticing her gaze turn to the bright sky above, he looked up as well. The weather hadn't started to turn grey and cloudy yet, so it was still nice outside. "Glad to know I'm not the only one who thinks so." He paused, wondering. "I'll just have to take your word for it, then."
"You're lucky to have doctors for parents, then. Saves you a trip to the emergency room." He grinned lightly. "Yikes. It's no wonder your maids follow you around - I'm surprised no one watches out for you in school." He wouldn't be surprised if someone was guarding her secretly, though.

Razi suddenly stood up, arching his back in a stretch, which was followed by a yawn, revealing tiny, but surely sharp, white teeth. His stretch catching the attention of Alimet, the large husky padded over, head cocked to the side as it put one large, furry paw on Katsuo's knee, and peered up at the cat and the boy.
Hiding a grin of amusement behind her hand, Mitsuko tried to wave the husky away from Katsuo, but the oblivious dog stayed where it was, looking at the boy with curiousity. It wasn't that often he saw a stranger. When he was taken for walks, it was usually around a quiet, secluded place, and he wasn't allowed to approach strangers. Not unless, of course, he was with Mitsuko, who tended to randomly start up conversations with people she didn't know anyways. One could imagine what a handful Mitsuko would have been, if she were like that as a child, t hough as a kid, she never was allowed out that much, and wasn't as cheery as she was now. Something had caused her to change.
"Nope," She sighed, regretfully, "No classes together. But yeah, we'll see each other in the halls and at lunch!" She chirped. "You should sit with my friends and I. I could introduce you if you'd like, though a few of them may be in your class." She flashed another of her bright smiles.
Mitsuko stuck out her tounge. One could see why someone would be surprised in hearing she was from Ouran now, seeing as she didn't seem very...Ouran material. "My parents are busy all the time, so my grandmother was usually the one to treat my little injuries. She can't do so anymore...but I also plan on becoming a doctor when I'm done Ouran." She informed, with a furious nod. "It'd be nice to help people." She then looked thoughtful. "I think my friends try keeping an eye on me, but I can suddenly fall unexpectedly, and they wouldn't have seen it coming, until I'm wincing on the floor. Thought that counts though!"
