Out in the Snow

The heavy snow from the night before that had locked the lot of them inside their home until the following afternoon due to how much of it had fallen crunched under the boots of the Ice Tribeswoman as she wandered along, enjoying the fresh, crisp air as well as some time out. There was nothing that she hated more then being cooped up during a storm in the first place but it was made even worse being locked up with her family of all people, it was so very dull, not to mention more difficult to get her way on things of late due to the appearance of her younger half brother. The existence of the boy was something that had only come to light recently, something that had thrown Eira for a loop, and she was still getting over the shock of it. Only their father was really dealing with it in a somewhat good manner, though she supposed that the circumstances that brought the little halfbreed into their midst wasn't something that had put the man into the best of moods. The only reason the little kid was around was because his mother had passed away. It was most certainly something that Eira should be able to sympathize with, she probably would too, were it not for the fact that things had turned out of the way they had. Just dealing with the boy who seemed to never speak, instead choosing to spend his time clinging to their father, put Eira on edge. It had been some time since her own mother had passed away, causing it to just be her and her father for the longest time until the man had shacked up with Makani's mother.

No matter, she thought to herself, lifting a hand to wave it over her head as though to rid herself of the oppressive mood that was hanging over her. Now that she had escaped from all of that family drama for a while she meant to enjoy her time away even if it were a bit on the cold side. To say that it was cold was really saying a lot given that it was always cold in Zena. She didn't mind though, she would wade out into waist high snow at this point if it meant putting space between herself and her half brother. She knew it was probably childish of her to want to snap at him to stop clinging to 'her' father and she was sure her father wouldn't really be all that pleased with her for picking on him. The kid must not have been a surprise as far as Herluin went, he had to of known about him. She couldn't help but to wonder why he hadn't ever told her about the brat. The answer was glaringly obvious of course, she'd never been interested when the man told her about his love of the Wind Tribe woman, never wanted to meet her, never wanted to go to Sauti. Eira supposed that if she didn't want to meet with her father's woman he must have assumed she wouldn't want to meet with that woman's child either. It was true but they were stuck together now, weren't they? What she was supposed to do now, that she didn't know. For now she meant to just try to enjoy herself, to think of things that weren't her new little brother and how she was stuck with him until she was finally able to move out on her own.

Taking the time to look around herself, her brightly colored yellow eyes glittering as she did so, she had to admit that she did appreciate the look of all of the freshly fallen snow, the way that it covered everything with white, leaving it looking quite pure and beautiful. It was enough to help to calm her and aid in shoving aside all of what was weighing her down at the moment. Sure, the pretty look the snow had to it at the moment of would only last until the villagers and their various pets started to mill about, leaving behind a crunched up mess but for the moment she was able to enjoy the sight. That was until the few beams of sunlight that were daring to peek through the thick clouds overhead reflected off something, causing her to turn her head quickly to see what it was that was glittering so brightly, "Ohhh, so pretty!" She murmured to herself, walking over to the line of icicles that were hanging off the edge of one of the many houses, glittering like so many wonderful jewels. Looking them over closely, hands resting on her hips, the Ice Tribeswoman decided then and there that she just had to have one of those beautiful icicles! Sure, it was likely to melt the moment she brought her glittering prize inside due to the heat of the fire but until then it would serve as rather wonderful prize that she could call her very own. The problem being that they were all some distance over her head, weren't they? Getting her hands on one of them would require a whole lot of work on her part, wouldn't it? That really was the last thing she wanted to do at the moment. Alright, how to go about this?

Eira was just starting to think about what the first step might be when she heard a the mix of chattering male voices and feet crunching on the snow, causing her to look away from the icicles she so wanted and over toward the group. She starred for a long moment, watching the group of young, male Prentices, and then her dark lips twisted up into a bit of a grin. Well now, wasn't she a lucky one? Alright, time to put this plan into motion she thought to herself as she gave the glittering shards of ice her full attention once more, lifted her hands up over her head, and started to bounce up and down cutely. She was quite good at making it look as though jumping in place might actually aid her to reaching the thing that she so wanted. It was foolish to think about, there was no way she could ever jump that high, but still it did the trick as the group came over, all of them seeming to be more then happy to help. Boys, they were far to easy to deal with she thought herself, doing her best not to grin as they set about plotting out how they were going to get the icy treat for her, as though Eira was actually a sweet damsel in distress like the ones that you heard about in all of the stories.

It was a part that she didn't mind playing it up if she got her own way, that was for certain, and given just a bit of bouncing around had gotten these three to run over here like a bunch of Raptrix pups, all eager to please. It was actually rather cute of them she noted and decided that it was something that she would need to do more in the future. It wasn't all too long before the group had secured her the biggest of the icicles, handing it over to her. All of them had big, dumb grin on their faces as though they had accomplished the most amazing task known to man, woman, or child which had her smiling at them in return. They really were so cute she thought to herself, for a moment debating on whether or not she should pat them on the head as one might would do for a favored pet. She didn't want to insult them though, not when they had gotten her the icicles that she had wanted, and just in case she needed them in the future. Giving the trio a bright smile she clapped her hands together and exclaimed, "Thank you! You are all so sweet!"

Stepping forward Eira hugged the sparkling icicle to her ample chest for a moment before she stepped forward, giving each of the handsome young men a kiss on the cheek, "You three are my new heroes!" She told them before she turned on heel, on her way once more given that it would seem the kisses had stunned the three of them. Boys really were too cute she thought to herself as she walked along, her attention falling to the icicle that she was holding. That they would go out of their way to get such a thing for her, even when it had been in such an inconvienient place, showed how sweet they all were. She would need to see about employing their help again in the future, likely the next time that she found something that she wanted and was unable to get on her own. All she had to do was act sweet toward them, give them all kisses for rewards, and she would get her way! It was a wonderful discovery that all but made up for the fact that she knew that she was going to have to deal with the little halfbreed that was her brother once she got home, "Will be nice when I can just have a place of my own." She muttered to herself, lifting the icicle up to give it a lick, thinking to herself as she did so that it could use some sort of flavoring. Maybe she had something at home she could dump on it to make it taste better? Better that she ate it then wasted it by letting it melt away, especially given how hard the three prentices had worked to get it for her.

What to do Next?

It was a strange sort of thing, to think that she would actually make some sort of peace with her little brother despite how rocky things had been between them for the longest time. It was a miraculous thing and yet somehow she had done it! It was going to take a ton of work on her part, well on both their parts, if they were wanting to keep the truce going but she felt it would actually be worth it. As she started to deal with the boy in a more amiable manner she noticed the fact that their father seemed to become a lot more relaxed. It were as though a great weight had been taken off the man's shoulders, likely because he had known that the two of them hadn't quite gotten along until this point in time. He was probably worried about them both, especially given that to end up in such a situation was due to the both of them losing their mothers. It wasn't the best way for the two of them to have met but that was in the past. Such mistakes, like not introducing them sooner, wasn't something that Herluin could fix. It was instead up to the two astranged siblings to work it out for themselves. Finding some sort of peach, and seeing their father's pain eased through that peace, was yet another reason that she wanted to continue to try her best to get along with the boy, even if there were times that he irked her.

Glancing over at the sleeping boy from where her room was located she couldn't help but wonder what it was that annoyed her most. She supposed that when he was asleep he was cute enough, but then again that could be because he wasn't toddling around making a mess of the place. When it came down to it she was pretty certain that it wasn't due to his mother not being her mother, it was something else, something more... and she was pretty sure that she could at least guess what it was. It was the fact that he was so damn helpless! Men should be big and strong like their father was and Makani, he was far from being anything like Herluin, to the point that there were some in the village that questioned if the boy was even his son. It was foolishness of course, there was no way that her father would bring home just any little stray and he'd nearly clobbered the one person stupid enough to say such a thing to his face. It was just something that annoyed her to no end, having people talk about her father in such a manner, and she wondered what her father thought what he would do about it.

She also couldn't help but to wonder what Makani thought about all of it. Surely he must know that people were talking about him behind his back...? Or was he too young to really understand what it was that they were saying? He was sure to realize it one day, of this she was sure, and then what would he do? Perhaps he would do what she meant to do, that being travel once she was more then just a prentice though it was something she could do a lot sooner then Makani himself who wasn't even a recognized prentice yet. Either way a day would come when he was given the choice of what he would do in life, though with his limitation she wondered what that might be. There must be some sort of job here in the village that suited him despite his issues? The question being would the people of the village allow for such a thing?

"Ugh, some of those women annoy me to no end." She muttered, which was actually a grand understatement given that there were very few, if any, amongst the women of their tribe that she could stand. Most of them just caused her the overwhelming desire to wrap her hands around their necks and squeeze until their eye bugged out. Not a very unladylike thought but she couldn't help it when it came to some of them and the way that they tittered behind their hands like a bunch of brainless birds. Some of them were just... bitches. A thought that caused her to chuckle softly to herself since Eira knew full well that she was exactly the same in their eyes. She was a very sexist sort of woman, one that much preferred the company of the opposite sex instead of the same as her, saw them as little more then competition in all aspects of life, and only rarely did she play nice with them, that being when they were older then her and held rank. It was during those times that she would smile and play along despite her dislike of them. She didn't care what they thought of her though, she could hate them, they could hate her, and let the best woman win. Which of course would be her. It was just when they started silly rumors about someone as loyal to the tribe as her father that made her want to lash out at them.

Sitting up slowly the yellow eyed Eira set to studying her sleeping half brother once more, her anger easing down to a mere simmer for the moment and it wasn't really pointed at him. If anything she found herself thinking that maybe what they needed to do was figure out what Makani might be good at. Surely even some blind halfbreed must have some sort of skills that would be useful to the tribe, useful enough that people would be able to look passed what he was and instead focus on what he could do. It was something that they would need to look into soon. As mean as it started it seemed that she would need to start to run tests on him without him knowing, to get a feel for what he could accomplish when he was given a task. It would just be something that she would need to work on when their father was around, almost positive that experimenting on Makani wouldn't sit well with Herluin and the last thing she wanted was to ruffle his feathers.

Tendaji's Most Beautiful Dancer!

Eira was glad to be back home in Zena, sure Sauti wasn't that bad, at least not as bad as she'd figured it would be, but it still wasn't her home, it wasn't Zena. The sound of snow crunching beneath her feet was a sound that she found to be a relaxing and reassuring one, one that said that she was back where she belonged. The more she thought about it though the more she found herself thinking that maybe a little travel wouldn't be that bad a thing. It was a strange sort of thought and not one that she had really thought about a lot, not really, and she was certainly not planning on leaving Zena, never to return, but still... maybe little trips from time to time wouldn't be so bad? Not to mention that she thought that she might have finally spotted something that interested her in Sauti, the women that were dancing around in the long, flowing skirts with the pretty designs on them. While she had zero interest in those women she loved the clothing, loved the attention that they got, and it was a job of sorts.

After that she'd found herself thinking on it a lot, how nice it would be to be one of those pretty, dancing girls, to perform for others, and that way instead of having to risk herself by doing dangerous things she would be able to instead enjoy herself. She didn't want to become a hunter, didn't want to fight, didn't want to risk getting hurt or scarred up. No, that was something that the men were supposed to do. They could be the hunters, the fighters, and she would be a dancer she thought to herself, smiling all the while. When she closed her eyes she could almost see it, her in one of those pretty outfits dancing for her people or even being a traveling dancer, all she needed was some sort of bodyguard was all. She would need to see about finding one of those. For a moment she considered Borra... but then again he wasn't exactly the toughest man that she'd ever met. If anything he was a little too childish to really strike fear into anyone, huh? Hrm... someone else then, another member of her tribe perhaps? What were the odds though of finding a member of the village that wasn't planning to be a hunter? It seemed to be the thing that they became the most often here meaning that she might need to look for outside help.

Now that was going to be the most difficult of things if you asked her. Eira far preferred her own people to the other tribes she seen, though sure she'd admit freely that Natsu of the Wind Tribe and Aldr of the Shifter Tribe were nice to look at, just not the sort that she would settle down with. Still, having one of them as a bodyguard might work. It would give her someone to look out for her while on the road, someone that would protect her from the various dangers that Tendaji had to offer, without it being somene that might sidetrack her from what she was doing due to being too handsome. It really was the perfect plan! Alright, then, she was going to get an outsider to help with the security of her show, now for someone that would play the music that she would dance to... now that was a good question, not every day that she met someone with that sort of talent. It meant that she might need to seek them out and try to get them to join her in her travels, something that might prove to be a bit of a bother but she didn't mind, not if it made her show the best around!

Alright, she had some of it figured out, now all she had to do was find herself a good teacher. Thinking on it she knew of a couple older women in the village that danced, not as often anymore due to their age, and found herself debating on asking them. Given that they were older women they might be something that Eira could deal with easier, she didn't have to deal with those her age after all, and it would still leave her the most beautiful person in the room. That was another thought that she found herself liking. Alright, the planning phase was coming along smoothly she thought to herself, wanting to hop up and down in joy but refrained, not reason to act overly childish, not when she had other things to do. No, she would celebrate after she had talked to everyone that she needed to talk to, only then would she let herself celebrate. For now it was all just a dream she had growing in her mind, something that she would need to work hard at to get it to manifest itself. It was likely the first time that she had plotted out something that would involve so much hard work on her part, it would be different but she also felt that it would be worth it.

So, step one, it was going to meet with those older women, talk to them about what it was that she was planning on doing. She would need to get their advice, their teaching, and various other things which would mean listening to them. It was different for her givne that she rarely gave other women her attention for all that long save to compare herself to them, but surely it would be worth it? At least she really felt that it would be, it meant that she was going to one day before the most famous and well loved traveling dancer in all of Tendaji! With that glorious thought in mind Eira was turning to look over at her father and Makani she said, "I am going to go on a walk, I will meet you two at home." She said, giving them a smile before she turned on her heel and hurried off in the direction where those particular women were found most days, leaving the men of her family curious as to what it was that she was up to now. Neither really questioned her though, sure that it was nothing all that important, if only Herluin knew he might have had a chance to stop his daughter before she set herself on a path that he probably wouldn't like the sound of.

The First Step

Eira woke up the next morning feeling rather good, even after spending the day chasing after some dumb animal to get back a necklace that wasn't even hers. It should go to show that she was starting to prove herself to be a good older sister even if she had been a rather poor one when Makani first showed up. She could only hope that the blond brat understood how lucky he was to have her. To think that she would be stuck doing something so undignified as running around in the way that she had! Bah, running was for children and hunters, not for ladies, but she had still done it to make sure to get Makani's precious necklace back. She'd never admit it but she knew where the boy was coming from... if it was her necklace that had been stolen she would likely have broken down into a mess of tears as well. Both necklaces represented the same thing, a gift from someone important that had been lost and would never return again. They had to take care of the necklaces because it was all that they had left of their mothers... it really was a sad thing that the one real, solid thing that they had in common save for their father was something like that. It was a pain that neither of them should have had to feel let alone share with someone else she thought to herself. Bah! But no matter, she wasn't going to let that get her down when she was in such a grand mood, damn it!

"Come on, Flurry, I feel like going for a walk." She said to her sprite, pulling on fresh clothing real fast before climbing down out of her second floor room, brushing herself off once she was on the ground floor. Looking around she realized by the quiet that nobody else was home, likely Father had gone on a walk with Makani who had been so inconsolable yesterday. Today was likely a better day for him as well. She felt a little bad for their father, having to deal with the tail end of that who debacle, having come home from a hunt to find Makani in such a state. That the man had been able to calm him even to the point that he had was impressive she thought to herself before she walked over to the counter, rifling around through the food sitting there, fetching herself a thick slice of bread and some of the dried fruit that they traded for with the merchants from Sauti. It seemed to be the best thing to come out of that place she thought to herself idly before tossing some fruit into her mouth, chewing as she walked over to where her boots were sitting.

Eira slipped her dainty feet into the large, fluffy boots that her father had gotten for her, made from the hides of beasts that he'd killed himself in fact. It was due to things like this that she was certain she wouldn't be marrying for a while. She wanted a husband who was as amazing as her father, if not more so, and she doubted very highly that there was anyone out there as good as him. It didn't help that half the men that she ran across tended to be 'like that' and it really worried her on her odds. Still, after meeting those men from the troupe, two very handsome, powerful, muscular, and most importantly straight men, she felt that at least there was a chance. Not that it was important that she find such a man straight away though, she couldn't say that she wanted to get hitched now, not when what she really wanted was to get a troupe of her own together, one that would one day rival that of the woman she'd met yesterday.

Turning to look at the sprite that was following her about she said, "I am going to be a rival to Lyriala one day, you just watch! We are going to get together the best troupe that there ever was." She said, grinning to herself, before she gave a thoughtful sound, "The first thing we need to do though is to find others that are good enough for our group. A shame that the only ones we know that well are a touch useless..." She thought it over a moment. There was Makani who was blind, Borra who was a bit of a ditz and rather childish, his sister had slept through their visit, and various other members of the village, "Hmm... I am starting to think that maybe we will need to invite others, those who aren't a part of our village or tribe, to join us." She mused. While she had nothing against outsiders, to a point at least, she wondered how difficult it might be to coordinate some sort of try outs with the other villages. She would likely need to start out soon if she wanted to do so... but she couldn't really go at it alone. A beautiful woman like her, all alone in the world, it just wouldn't work out... no, she would need to find others amongst the village first and then set out.

"Hm... I really thing, as much as it pains me to say this, that maybe we should bring Borra." She said to Flurry who gave a little, musical laugh at her. It was something that her giving him a dark look before sighing, "Hmm... maybe he and that beast of his could put on an act? Though I don't know if his raoti listens to him nearly half as well as those beasts listened to Radaz yesterday but I suppose that it wil have to due until we can find others with more considerable talent." She muttered to herself, stretching out all over before she turned to look over at Flurry, "I say that we put him on the list as a potential member of the group and then search for others that would be useful to us. What we really need though is hired muscle so if you see any one like that let me know." She told the sprite.

Popping the rest of the fruit into her mouth, bread still in hand, she pulled on her cloak before heading out the door. There was much work to be done if she was wanting to really become a troupe leader who could rival Lyriala and that meant starting out now, working hard, and becoming as famous as she was beautiful! It would of course be difficult to become that famous but she felt if she put her mind to it she could do anything, this particular challenge included.

Heading Home

Eira was currently in quite the grand mood! She had done well in finding the first three, founding members of her troupe, save for herself of course. It was the first step in making her dreams a reality and it was something that had her smiling in delight from ear to ear. She wanted nothing more then to jump around, throw her arms in the air, and otherwise show her glee as more then just a smile but she wouldn't. She didn't want everyone looking at her like she had gone crazy, not when she had worked so hard to build up her reputation to where it was today. She didn't want to sully it by looking like a child in front of those who lived in her village, she had to be careful. She would cheer in delight when she got home and was safely behind closed doors she thought to herself, smiling as she made her way back from where she'd spent the better part of the afternoon.

She and Gyuri had sought out Borra and Sinny, talked to them about joining the troupe. It had been a little touch and go after first, what with Sinny not being too thrilled with the idea and Borra being possibly unable to come due to issues with is family. They had come up with a wonderful, if devious, plan for how to get the two siblings to come with the troupe on the road. It had taken some deep thought but they might just work! It made her count her lucky stars that she had gotten Gyuri to join before she talked with the siblings, it had aided them greatly the plan was that Borra was going to be 'training' with Gyuri in the ways of battle! Something that they all hoped would be the perfect cover since Gyuri did seem like quite the wonderful warrior, and a giant at that, who would think him anything but a good teacher for Borra?

Borra seemed to have zero interest in actually battling though, in fact he wanted to make music... which was, apparently, a bad thing? She couldn't understand it but then again she supposed that he was a son while she was a daughter. She was able to get away with more frivolous things while he couldn't, he needed to instead go down the path of a warrior or something. No matter though, he would trail after Gyuri, appear as a loyal student to him, and they would leave the moment they were ready to do so. They weren't going to be here all that much longer, in fact she wanted to travel as soon as possible before Borra's father found out that he was joining them not as a warrior but as a musician.

Thinking on the issues that Borra's father seemed to have with his son had her wondering what their father thought when it came to Makani. Did it bother him that his son wasn't going to be able to follow in his path and become a hunter? Born blind seemed to make it so that he was unable to be a fighter of any sort, did that bother their father? She would guess that it did in some ways, but there were likely other things that probably bothered him a lot more then that. Things like Makani being vulnerable in a dangerous world for instance. Being blind meant that more things were a threat to him, that he needed extra protection, at least that was what she felt. She wondered if he would be forced to live forever at home if he didn't tag along with the troupe. It wasn't as though it were Makani's fault that he was born in such a manner but it would heavily influence his life from here on out.

Unless he decided that he wanted to stay behind with their father she meant to bring him along with her troupe. She could just see it now, they would be the only troupe with a genuine blind act! There were others out there but they tended to be only blindfolded, not truly blind. The problem being there was always the chance that people just wouldn't believe that he was really blind even though he was. Especially if he did really well with his act, they would likely think he was faking or something. It really wasn't something that she would worry about presently though. She wanted to think positive for the moment!

"Mmm, I should see about chatting with him." She mused to herself, then upon seeing the house she quickened her steps, wondering if he was home yet. She herself had only recently parted ways with the siblings at their place, and then parted ways with Gyuri when they got to the path that would lead him home. It was now just her but she was nearly home as well, something she'd be grateful for since she wanted out of the cold and under some warm skins in front of the fire. Once she got inside she'd find Flurry and tell him the good news! About all the new members of the troupe and how smoothly things were going! She would even tell him her plans when it came to Makani, provided of course that her brother wasn't home. If he was then she'd tell Makani himself first. It was probably silly of her to just assume that he would be alright with becoming a part of the troupe but at the same time why wouldn't he want to be a part of it? It would be good for him! He needed to get out more! At least he needed to get out more in a way that didn't involve him seeking out news about that thrice damned merchant that had stolen his heart before running away. How she wanted to find the the merchant and then shake the guy until his eyes crossed! Not that a lady like herself would do such a thing, of course.

Eira pushed the door to the house open, kicking the snow off of her boots as she arrived, then stepped inside. Once the door was closed behind her she stepped out of said boots, setting them aside, and then called out, "Flurry, love! I'm home! Did you miss me?" In an instant the pretty sprite was rushing over to her, hugging himself to her cheek before he settled down on her shoulder. She gave a soft laugh, lifting a hand to pat him on the head, "I missed you too. So tell me, is Makani home?" When Flurry shook his head at the question she made a bit of a face, "Likely off looking for that fool merchant of his. No matter! I will talk with him later, for now how about I tell you how my day went?" Flurry seemed to enjoy listening to her talk, something that worked out well since Eira talked a lot.

Planning a Trip

Eira stretched out all over, giving a great yawn, as she headed inside the house. It was quite cold outside and she had been playing in the snow for some time. It had been a while since she'd done something like that, it wasn't really her, but at the same time it had been... well, fun. What better then having a legitimate excuse to throw snow at other women. She had scored a few good hits, even knocked a couple of them over with the snowballs that she had thrown. Really, it was a good day as far if you asked her. It had her smiling from ear to ear as she headed over to the fireplace, "Phew, I am so cold." She murmured to herself, tossing a few logs onto the fire, poked at it with the fire poker to get it going from coals again, before she turned to look up toward the raised area that was her room, giving a whistle, "Flurry, are you home?" She called out, her voice calling in the little blue sprite that came over to land on her shoulder, nuzzling against her.

"I missed you too." She said, walking over to the front door, stepping out of her boots, shrugged out of her cloak, and put them away where they went. Each of them had a place to put their things, it helped so that Makani wouldn't get mixed up. There were a few times when he was younger that he'd wandered off with her more fancy colored cloak because he got it mixed up with his own. There were also times when he'd taken their father's cloak though that was when he was much younger and wanted to hide in it. At the moment she would love to do the same if her father was home and the cloak was free to hide under. Given that he was out, most likely hunting again, she knew that she would have to find another way to go about warming herself up.

Walking over to the ladder that led to her space she climbed it, settling down on the pile of animal skins that her father had gotten for her over the years. She flopped back on them, something that drew a squeak from Flurry who ended up on his back, tangled in her hair. It had her laughing a bit before he looked over at him, "You are too cute, Flurry." She said, reaching out to untangle him from her long locks of hair, letting him fly free of her grasp when she got him free, "There you are." She told him, smiling as he pointed at her and seemed to be scolding her about getting him all tangled up in such a manner.

"Gonna scold me? Here I thought you would love to hear about the fun snowball fight that I was in." She told the sprite knowing full well that she really needed to get more friends since she spent a bit more time with Flurry. She was just busy was all, it wasn't easy getting things prepared so that she could become a Mistress of a Troupe after all. That was her excuse at least for not bothering to go out and make many female friends and it wasn't as though she didn't have any female friends, there was Sinny after all. Sure, she highly doubted that the two of them would ever be considered best friends forever or any of that but she liked her well enough, more so then any of woman she'd ever met for sure.

Giving a smile she said, "Think things are falling into place pretty well!" She told Flurry, "I have myself, the dancer and the mistress of the troupe, Gyuri to be the muscle, Borra to do animal tricks and music, and Sinny who is... well, a wild card of sorts. I have to figure out what to do with her... given that severe look of hers maybe she can work with Gyuri? She almost seems like the dangerous, bodyguard sort. I bet that she would work well with Gyuri, able to actually speak up and talk down to anyone that might want to cause trouble where as Gyuri will probably just throw them out bodily." A mental image that always made her chuckle.

Rolling over onto her stomach she looked over the edge, checking the fire, making sure that it was still going. Upon seeing that it was going strong she gave a smile before she crossed her on the arms in front of her, resting her head on them, "It's good that we have them but now I will need to see about getting more acts. I know that Borra and I might be able to draw some people but I think we need more then just the two of us." She mused to herself, kicking her feet in the air while she thought about it. Going out, doing the foot work, finding more members for the group, that would be the hard part. She didn't tend to go too far outside of the town she lived in, aside from a few trips to Sauti, but if she was going to really expand then she was going to have to likely go further.

"Alright, come on, Flurry, love. I think that I am going to look over Father's map, get a good look at it, and figure out where some good places to hit might be." She glanced over toward where it would be located, rolled up and tucked away into a cabinet, "I probably can't ask you to get it for me, can I? You might be a little small." She mused to Flurry who landed on the blankets next to her, giving a shake of his head. She didn't quite think so, such a shake she thought to herself before she lifted up, crawling over to the ladder, swung a leg over the edge to rest it on the rung of the ladder, and set to climbing her way down.

The moment her feet touched down Flurry left his perch, flying down, and landed on her shoulder, and relaxed there while she went to fetch the map. It was opened up, unrolled on the floor, and she knelt down to look it over, "Alright... let's see..." She mused, looking the map over, "I think that we might benefit by getting people from each area if possible, everyone has their own look after all, meaning that everyone has their own tastes. We will need to account from that... well, other then here maybe." She tapped a finger against the Chibale Isles, "I hear that they are scary, not to mention all giant warrior women from the stories I've heard. We might not want to try to hire them on if they are half as bad as Father's stories."

Lifting her gaze to look at Flurry she then said, "I think that we should get some Shifters to join. I hear that they can actually change their skin colors depending on the time of day. Crazy, huh?" She gave a grin, then looked down again at the map, "That leaves Wind Tribe, which look a bit like Makani but with lighter skin, and then Leaf Tribe who are like them but with brown hair instead of blond. A little of every troupe will help our people or at least that is what I think. What do you think?"

Flurry glanced at her, looked at the map as though deep in thought about it, before nodding his head. It seemed that even the little sprite agreed. Eira gave a little laugh before she sat back on her heels, "Alright, I think it sounds like a very basic plan. What we need to do though now is to chat with the group and decide where we are going to start recruiting. I'd say Sauti makes the most sense, its the closest, then Tale, over to Jauhar, and back again." As she spoke she slid a finger along the surface of the map. She knew that she would need to talk with the others, Sinny especially, and make sure that they got together everything that was needed for such a long journey.

"I wonder if Father will let me borrow the map." She mused, knowing that it would be quite useful, to have something like with them. It would help them to find the different towns in each country, and within the towns they could find people to join them. She needed more dancers, more musicians, and any sort of acts that were different then what they had thus far. So much work, but if she could one day do what Lyriala did, then she would be happy.

The door in front of her creaked open, letting in a cold breeze that caused her to give a squeak, jerking her head up to look. She half expected to see her brother there, he was on his way home as well but likely stopped by to see if the merchants were about, but instead of Makani it was, "Father? Ah! You're back!" She said, pushing up to her feet, hopping over the map, and hurried over to him to give him a big hug before looking up at the giant of a man, giving him a bright smile, "Do you think I can borrow the map when I go on my trip to find new troupe members?" She gave him her best cute look, wanting nothing more then to get her father to agree with giving her the map.

He starred down at her for a moment, looked over to the map that was laid out, before giving a bit of a sigh, "Shaking me down already, Eira? At least let me take off my boots." He teased, patting her on the head before he turned to close the door behind himself, kicking off his boots, hung up his cloak, then asked, "Where is your brother at?"

Eira gave a shrug, "We were together on the way back from the snowball fight but he wanted to go and 'check something out real quick' which means go and see if that idiot of a merchant is around. I really think that you should take that spear of yours, hunt him down, and stick it in his..."

"I get the gist." Herluin said, lifting a hand up to wave it, cutting off whatever it was that she was about to suggest since it would most likely be a cringe worthy injury that he didn't want to think about. Walking over to the fire he settled down in front of it, allowing himself to warm up, "I know that Makani seems to spend an inordinate amount of time waiting on the guy but he was really kind to Makani when they met. He just wants to spend more time with him. Regardless though he needs to really move on, standing out in the cold waiting for someone that might not come by isn't a good way to spend his time." If anything Makani should be home where he would be safer. The boy seemed to forget at times that he was more vulnerable then most, something that made Herluin want to just protect him that much more.

"As for you, young lady, I know that you are wanting to take your trip, it's something I am still thinking on. A woman your age doesn't need to be traveling about alone, especially as far as you want to go." He said, shaking her head.

It was something that caused Eira to give a little sigh as she moved to roll the map back up, "I won't be going alone. I have a decent sized group now. I just want to get more people or else we won't be as interesting a group as the one that Lyriala has." She told her father, turning around to face him, "So! Can I have the map? Please, please? It's really important, so that we don't get lost!" She told him, hugging the rolled up paper to her chest.

The man gave a sighing sound, "Fine, fine, but only if you go and fetch your brother. A storm is going to come rolling soon and I don't want him standing out there waiting." He said, turning to look at her as she hurriedly put the map away, then went running to get her boots and cloak, "At least pretend that its because you are worried about him and not because you want my map, Eira."

"I do care about him!" She said, sliding her feet into her boots before she gave a grin, "Though I do want the map too! Flurry, come with me! Let's go get Makani!" She called to her sprite. The creature flew over to her, landing on her shoulder just before she closed the door behind herself.
