At the moment there was nothing that Eira loved more then the days when her father was home and the snows weren't falling because those were the days that she made sure she had something to do far from home. It didn't matter what it was, be it going on a long, quiet walk with Flurry, visit the traveling merchants that came by from time to time, or chatting with some of the other prentices of the area. So long as she was far from home. Sure, she was getting along a little bit better with her half blooded brother these days but that didn't meant that she didn't want a bit of time to herself. Being an older sister was far to difficult she thought to herself, sticking her tongue out before she looked over at Flurry, "So, what do you think that we should do now, hm? Maybe we can find someone to boss around." She said with a little giggle. Nothing better then getting cuties to do her bidding she thought to herself, clapping her hands together gleefully at the thought.

Flurry gave a little flutter of his wings and a musical chuckle as though agreeing with her that it was in fact a wonderful idea that she had. He was the sort of critter that was only too happy to follow her lead because so long as she was happy then he was happy. His agreement with what she was talking about even got him a little scratch under the chin and a kiss on the cheek so that was more then enough for the little sprite.

"You really are a sweetheart, aren't you, Flurry? I remember now why you are my favorite of all the cute boys that I meet." She said, ever biased when it came to who she wanted to spend her time with. Thus far she had yet to meet a female that didn't completely grate on her, but the guys, they were completely different and far more interesting.

[ aldr ] It was cold. Too cold.

Though the snow wasn't falling, and only a thin glistening layer of the pure-colored powder was visible, it was safe to say that Aldr would rather be dead and gone than have to endure anymore of this harshness that slunk around him- filling his lungs with its icy shards and wrapping freezing fingers around the bare skin of his arms. Though he'd managed to clothe himself in a hooded vest made of some brown creature's furry pelt and a pair of thick fur-lined boots, it did little to protect him against that of Zena's climate and he'd give anything to be able to turn back around and revisit the arid region of Sauti he knew was only a few hour's walk away. Still, he'd given himself a mission and was- as always- determined to complete it. The north-eastern most point of Tendaji- a point was so close he could taste it- was whispering in his ear sweet nothings and who was he to ignore it? It was, after all, his first time reaching this far away from home and he'd be an idiot to turn around now.

Still, a shifter could only take so much cold before his teeth began to chatter, and night was creeping closer and closer. He'd probably have to find shelter soon, make the rest of the trek when it was safer- warmer. It was a thought that occurred to him only after he'd passed by a tunneling system of caves... which meant? It might be a while before he found another.

      "Tch."

Aldr grimaces as he stops at the top of one of Zena's icy rocks; pale eyes scanning the mountain range for anything he could turn into shelter. He was too stubborn to backtrack, despite the numbness that had overcome his fingers only minutes before, and though there was nothing particularly interesting in sight- besides the vast expanse of white on white on white- he guessed there had to be something around here... right? He's about to start walking again when a unfamiliar voice is carried by the wind to his pointed ears- a voice that has him turning towards its source and grinning when he notices that it's a woman from the ice tribe. A woman that would, undoubtedly, know this terrain like the back of her hand.

The slender male slides down the rock, landing easily in a slight crouch and flicking a loose strand of hair off his forehead. He lets a confident smirk lift one side of his lips, but does not approach the woman anymore than he has to. Not, at least, until he knows whether or not she's dangerous.

"I'm guessing you haven't met very many 'cute boys' then, hmm?"

A squeak of surprise escaped from Eira as she whirled around to face the one that had spoke to her, starring at him for a moment, before she gave a thoughtful sound, "Ohhhh, would you look at him, Flurry." She murmured, taking a few steps closer to the dark skinned male, her amber colored eyes going quiet wide. He really was an interesting looking guy, wasn't he? He had such pretty silver hair, blue jewels and eyes, and that dark skin of his was nice too. He was a foreigner for certain and one that she had to admit that she was instantly fascinated by given how different he looked compared to all of those that she'd seen to this point up to and including her mixed blood brother. She'd never seen anyone like this guy before couldn't help but want to learn more about him, "Wow! Well, if I haven't met a real cutie before I certain have now." She said with a little laugh, giving the stranger a wink.

"So, cutie, where do you hail from?" She asked, curiosity showing clearly in her tone as she moved forward that much closer to him. Definitely not from Sauti, that she was sure of. The people from the Wind Tribe were far too pale for him to be from there, not to mention that their jewels were a pale pink color. He had to of come from beyond there but given she'd never been outside of Zena, or even all that far from her own village, she had no idea where it was that this traveler might have come from. Of course that just made it all that much more interesting to her, like some of mystery that needed to be solved.

Aldr smirks at the light-skinned female, slipping a thumb into the waist of his pants as he looks at her; he was the perfect actor, all hooded eyes and easy grins. It helped, too, that she hadn't encountered a Shifter before. It made him that much more desirable.

"I hail from Jahuar," he responds, taking a step closer while keeping an eye on the animal by the Ice girl's side; just in case. "A rain forest to the west." He adds, tilting his head as he takes in the Earthling's face and figure, his own pale eyes roaming up and down before finally landing on her curious gaze. "I'm traveling to the Northernmost post of Zena, as I've never been, but," he sighs, looking feux-dejected while running a hand through his silvery locks of hair. "I fear I might have to turn around, as night's falling and I've yet to find anything sufficient enough for shelter. My body's not used to the cold that Zena provides, you see. The rain forest of my home is humid, warm. Far different from the icy mountains here..."

Lifting a hand up Eira gave Flurry a little scratch under the chin with one finger, able to tell at a glance that he was jealous of their new friend. Once she was done appeasing him she looked back to the Shifter, giving a nod as he explained that he was from Jauhar that was far to the west she was guessing since they never had rain in Zena, only snow, "Sounds interesting. You came here from that place all on your own?" She asked of him, finding that even more interesting then the place that he'd come from. Didn't that mean that he must be a rather impressive individual? To go on such a long journey all on his own? Needless to say that she was impressed, to be able to go on a journey like that, how she envied him a little. She knew full well though that while she was still a prentice that she wouldn't be going anywhere that far away on her own, not on her father's watch.

When he continued on about how he was heading ot the Northernmost part of Zena she looked curious, "Are you now? Anything in particular that you are looking for?" Save for a lot of snow, ice, and the occasional Mammu. She was far more interested in learning more about his home and hearing about what made a 'rainforest'. Just the description alone was interesting enough to make her want to know more about it.

"Ahhh, you are looking for a place to stay? There are places that might take you in for a night in our village if you aren't staying for long." They seemed to prefer outsiders only in small doses she thought to herself, not saying those exact words out loud though since she didn't want to chase the guy off straight away. At the mention of how his body wasn't used to the cold that Zena provided, that his home was humid and warm, her curiosity continue to climb, "Really? That must be a strange place that you live in." She mused, suddenly wanting to see it for herself... but knew that it wasn't happening any time soon. Perhaps once she became more then a mere prentice she would be able to do some traveling? Until then she would just see about milking this guy for information about the places that he'd seen she decided, "Here, I can lead the way to the village. It's not that far from here."
