Bathtime! - Aurora Namid solo rp - word count 802 -A sound reminescent of a purr escaped the girl as she slipped further into the warm bathwaters, sinking until only the tips of her shoulders and head remained visable among the peaks of ivory bubbles. The water was so refreshingly warm, like a blanket swallowing someone up in it's comfort, and the sweet scent of melon radiated from the bathwater to fill the room. Eyes lulling shut Aurora caught one last glimace of the nightie folded delicately on the sink.
She was glad now that she'd taken the time to fold it, instead of leaving it in a crumple on the bathroom floor. Sure she stood there cold for awhile, debating, and finally folding the thing. But had she left it there, she just KNEW she'd be staring at the heap from the bathtub, frowning and fretting and taking the pleasure out of her bath time. It was silly to worry about creases and clutter. Streching her legs softly until they touched the cool porceline of the other side, Aurora felt her body and mind relaxing.
It was a special little reprieve of hers... a treat when all else seemed done for the time being. It was one of the few times that thoughts didn't seem to fly a mile a minute, when responsibility could be tossed away for a little while.
Dipping beneath the water as her cheeks puffed up with air, Aurora swished her head back and forth, letting the long strands each soak up the water and sweet scent, free from the braids and decor that almost always kept them captured. When she finally emerged once more, she leaned against the edge, fingers running through her locks to untangle and seperate strands. Brush.. brush.. brush.. until everything was smoothed and soothed and then it was time for shampoo, cool green goo lathering to a sweet smelling pile atop her head. Giggling as bubbles tickled down the sides of her neck and shoulders, she freed herself of the more playful of the hair care supplies, rinsing it clean before she searched around for the conditioner.
Not much left really.. Aurora made a mental note to go shopping as she worked the conditioner up into her hair, bundling the whole mess high up on her head to set for awhile and moisturize. She needed more of the essentials for sure, but certainly it wouldn’t be a bad thing if she splurged a little on some extras.. some bath salts maybe.. or ohhh! If they had her favorite type of bubble bath! Maybe she’d even be able to find someplace that could monogram her new bathrobe? Her eyes danced across the crème colored fluff that hung alongside the towels, quite possibly her favorite of her newest set of ‘house’ warming gifts from her father. Papa was so silly.. to send her ‘house warming gifts’ for each dorm she’d moved into over the years.. Of course silently she adored it, smirking gently as she imagined the discontent ‘Nancy’ probably groaned about whenever Papa did it.
Sighing with soft contentment, she brought her attention back to the task at hand, lifting her leg from the mountain of bubbles to run the razor across. Once and twice, careful attention to her knees and ankles, Aurora ran her hands over her legs carefully inspecting, setting the razor down in exchange for the loofa, pouring a generous amount of the creamy soap before she began to bubble it up between her hands.
Washing each inch, Aurora finally ducked her head down one last time, rinsing the conditioner from her hair as her toes searched for the chain of the drain, giving it a delicate tug when finally it was found. Inspecting the delicate wrinkles beginning to mar her fingers with soft amusement, she waited until the water was almost gone before lifting herself as she turned the showerhead on. Cupping her hands to catch handfuls of water, she carefully helped guide the bubbles from the edges of the bathtub down the drain, shutting it off only when it and she was finally completely soap free.
Yawning as she dabbed at her skin softly, Aurora dried herself, wrapping her soaked locks into the towel before she pulled on her new robe, allowing herself a silly little spin to let the fuzzy fabric swish around her. She couldn’t wait for classes to actually start up for her, but for today she was happy to be free of them. It was late after all, and if she didn’t get to bed soon enough, she might even sleep in past 8. Perhaps she’d do her last minute shopping tommorow. And take a look around campus. Maybe start looking into the books she needed for class ahead of time? So many things to do, and not nearly enough hours in the day.-

Halloween costumes - Aurora Namid solo rp - word count 572 Dear Diary,
I would like to discuss with you the absolute abomination that is female halloween costumes. Perhaps I did not get to see it as often back at home, it was after all far too cold for such daring things, but what I have seen here all seems horrendous.
I had no real idea of what to be this year so I went ahead and browsed the things they had in various shops within the mall in search of something fitting of celebration. As of yet I've not decided what I'd like to do for the holiday, but one should always be prepared. The stores had aisles of costumes maids, faeries, bunnys, witches, and vampires. All perfectly fine in idea. But the execution! If only you could have seen my face.
The very idea behind most if not all of the costumes are completely sexual and objectifying. What about a bunny requires she wear nothing more than a bathing suit and tights? Since when did faeries start wearing sheer fabrics and trade their innocence for sleaziness? Male costumes covered the body and ranged from respectable to simply silly subjects. But the female costumes, no. All of it was sex on a hanger. Even the gowns that reached all the way to the floor somehow exuded the aire of all the other costumes.
Perfectly respectable professional uniforms were mutilated into tight fabrics that cut far further down then they should, with skirts and boots that reach far higher than any true lady would ever wear. Police woman, teachers, nuns, I'm sure they shudder at the mockery of their uniforms. I shudder for them as well.
Since when did Halloween become the day to bare all your goods for the world to see? And more upsettingly, why is noone saying anything against it!? The girls I saw seemed happy to try on such filth, and I fear that the sweet girls of my academy may too be swayed to such indecency. I can only imagine it must go back to lecherous men. Men, pushing this trend along, creating all the costumes that get placed into stores, shuning females who refuse to wear enough fabric to even cover their naughty bits. What hope does any young girl have to respect herself when even the children's costumes are tiny? I could spend my whole day on the 31st scolding all the girls on their inappropriateness, but can I really blame them..? If there is nothing else for them to wear?
I myself will be making something. I know... I don't have a whole lot of experience making complete outfits, but I've done enough mending in my days, and I'm sure if I visited a sewing shop I could find a pattern to work with. I need only decide what exactly to be.
I could be something similar to what I saw in the stores.. only done in a more lady-like and respectable fashion. A mail carrier perhaps, or a witch that actually looks spooky not sexy, or perhaps even a cat in full fur.
But perhaps it would be better to do something beautiful. Something stunning and regal to show whoever see that one doesn't need sleaziness to be worth looking at. A Victorian dress would be nice, but perhaps out of my league for a first full clothing attempt.
It will take some thought, but I know I'll think of something good and respectable.

Power up - Aurora Namid/Sailor Polaris solo rp - word count 1217 Her breath hung crisp and white before her in the cool air, her muscles tense as Aurora squeezed her eyes shut, hand pushing hard against the wall. And just as suddenly it was gone, the tension in her body melting as fluidly as her blades glided across the ice. Arms posed and pinned before melting like ribbons in soft swirls, her braids extending far from her body as the extended tip of her toe allowed her to spin around and round in slow circles.
It was almost like home here in this quiet and cold ice rink. Life was like it used to be before, simple and easy, a beautiful routine almost like a ballet. Soon enough she knew she'd have to go back. To school, to responsibility, to growing up and figuring out just what it was life held for her. But for now it was just as before. Eyes fluttering open finally Aurora glided across the empty icerink, enjoying the coolness against her bare legs. Foward, backward, spinning in loose and tight circles.
'Miss' came a call from the corner, Aurora turning quickly to spy an aged man in dark blue and a name tag, hand beckoning her to the edge of the rink. Skating to the edge questioningly, she paused at the edge, only to have him place something in her hand. 'I think this fell out of your bag Miss.'
It looked like a fat pen kind of.. the sort that was decorative and flashy to induce conversations. Gazing at it more intently, specifically the small balls that circled the top of the pen without actually even appearing to be held there, when her eyes finally lifted he was already gone. Oh well, she'd return it to the lost and found when she was done skating. Getting in and out of skates was a hassle and a half. Not to mention, she wouldn't be there much longer. Tightening her fingers around the pen, to make sure she didn't drop it, Aurora glided back out to the center of the ice. Leaning forward, the girl lifted one leg behind her, arms outstreched in balance as she crossed the ice. Her balance however was lost as a blood curdling scream filled the air, tumbling onto the cold, hard ice. God! It'd been forever since she'd fallen while ice skating, but the sting on her skin was well remembered. Pushing herself to her knees, and finally feet, Aurora looked around for the source of the scream, pausing when she saw a dark figure standing over another.
Dark blue... the familar dark blue uniform of the older man, gave Aurora the courage and gumption to move forward, speeding towards the edge of the ice. Something definately wasn't right, she could tell that from a distance. But what exactly was up? Was some street punk in here harrassing the old man!? Had she become part of some stick up? "Hey you!" She cried out loudly, and the dark figure turned, an inhuman growl filling the air.
Her heart pattered in her chest like crazy, trying to dechiper the strange thing that stood before her. Definately not human! Unless like... he'd suffered full body burns. The older man lay crumpled on the bleachers by him, and something glowed softly between the 'monsters' hands. "I.. um.." Aurora tried to backpedal a bit, true fear and confusion touching her, but it was too late. With a leap just as unhuman as his face, the beast flew over the railing, landing on the ice with force to dent and crackle the solid ground below him, sending spider cracks across the ice. As another roar rumbled through the air, Aurora pivoted, pressing her blades against the ice as quickly as she could. Her feet moved faster than she could remember ever going, and yet the beast continued to brace the distance, destroying sections of ice that soon left the girl stranded.
As Aurora turned to face her attacker, trying to look as brave as she could muster despite her complete and utter fear, the PA equipment began to crackle, a voice calling out. "Aurora"
How.. how'd they know her name!? Who was it? Atleast she wasn't alone. They would help, wouldn't they!?
"Aurora! Hold that wand up and yell Polaris Power Makeup!"
She glanced down at the pen frantically. Wand... was this the wand? No time to think. As the monster leapt once more, straight at Aurora, she lifted the pen high above her head, shouting frantically. "Polaris Star Power"
Colors, lights, and sparkles flashed before Aurora's eyes, stripping her skating clothing unbenonced to her before covering her once more in something similar and yet... Tightness at her knees, made her double over forward, hands smacking the ice. Luck disguised as pain, as the creature flew over her back, landing with a snarl as it pivoted around once more.
"You've got to fight back!" The voice from above urged. Aurora didn't have to be told twice. Shoving herself up, she ran as fast as she could, blessing the grip on her boots that she wasn't sliding too crazily on the ice. She could hear him behind her, his breath, the heavy sound of his feet. She just had to find some sort of weapon. Chairs... railing... all fastened to the ground. And then she saw them, the rack of skates.
Aurora ran and ran, until suddenly, there was nothing but air beneath her, a pressure on her ankle as she watched, in what seemed like slow motion, her descent towards the ice, pulling her arms forward to break the fall. She hadn't hit her head... but it rang nonethless, the weight and heat of them monster on her back the only thing keeping her from the dazed condition that might have otherwise come.
What was she going to do? Openning her mouth to scream in despair, she was surprised to find words forming.- "MAGNETIC FIELD!!"
The skates on the nearby rack began to shiver and shake, and then suddenly they were airborn and coming at the two. Digging her face into her arms defensively, the girl cowered until she felt the weight on her back loosen, eyes turning back in surprise.
The monster stood, hissing.. the blades of skates dug deep into his skin. He seemed to try to claw at them, and then suddenly he was gone. Like dust carried off by the wind.
Aurora remained on the ice until she finally began to shiver from cold instead of fear, only now noticing the strange new changes to her 'skating outfit'.
The place was wrecked... the man.. still lay over on the ground. And she had NO clue what was going on. Lifting herself, she made her way to the payphone that hang on the wall, tapping the emergancy numbers and praying she didn't need coins for it. She breathed a sigh of relief. "Hello.. there has been some sort of accident at the skating rink." She stated softly, before hanging up the phone without another word.
If she knew how to help the man... or how to explain.. she might have stayed. But she didn't, and she REALLY didn't want to get in trouble. Grabbing the first fairly large coat she saw, Aurora fleed. Back home. Back to reality.. or something.

My afterschool activities - Aurora Namid solo rp - word count 531 -Aurora lay silently, watching the moonlight filter through the sheer fabric of her canopy. She was safe, warm, tired, curled under the soft feather filled blankets. It was just like any other night as the fidgety girl tried to sooth herself to sleep but tonight... tonight something was different. As she tried to will her eyes shut her toes clenched and released over and over her mind replaying the events of the day.
What exactly had happened today? Why or how? She'd never been one to believe in superheros... or any of the monsters and magic that the day had brought about. And why in the heck hadn't she known before today what lie inside her...? Aurora shifted from one side to the other, a frown maring her face.
What had begun as a simple day to treat herself with ice skating... had become a day that would change her entire life. She was a hero now. A sailor senshi. Protecter of goodness, fighter of monsters.
It was strange.. she didn't really feel any different other than the sheer confusion and adreneline. A hero. Could she even do it?
The thing she'd done today... causing those iceskates to fly across the room, that was certain impressive. But really.. logistically. With everything else did each day did she have time for playing hero? As it was she hardly slept.. what would she have to give up to fight the forces of evil? Could she really turn down being a hero though? Once power was bestowed... surely it was her responsibility to do something.
No.. just as she always did Aurora would have to give her all at this new task. Her newest 'after school activity'. When and how.. that would come in time. But one thing was sure for now. She, Aurora Namid, little girl curled alongside a seal stuffed animal, she was Sailor Polaris now. The North star, the guide to all those who looked for guidance. Aurora never bucked responsibility, Polaris would be the same.
Being a good role model had always been such an important thing to her. Being a super hero well... that was probably about as extreme as it got when it came to being a role model. She'd do the best she could she promised. Protect the innocent... defeat the bad guy... rally the allies into something greater. IF she had allies? She assumed she must, considering the mysterious voice that had crackled across the PA and saved her life. Plus the rumors... Aurora nearly laughed as she thought of the rumors of 'terrorists' roaming about. That was her now wasn't it?
Sighing gently, she shifted again, laying on her stomach as she buried her head into her pillow, ivory hair spilled out around her. She really needed to sleep. She had to get up early tommorow to make sure she got her homework done. Sleep sleep sleeeeeep.
Attempting to will her mind away from the troubling and exciting topic it seemed stuck on, Aurora thought of the only thing she could, slowly beginning to count within her head. 1- 1000 ... 2- 1000... number after number until only numbers filled her mind, her breaths becoming heavy and slow.-Patrol Practice - Sailor Polaris solo rp - word count 484 -The new senshi padded down the alleyways quietly, eyes diligent for signs of evil, though it was becoming quite obvious the lack of enthusiasm on her face. Oh she had STARTED quite enthusiastic. Had been very excited in fact ever since she decided walking between dance class and math class that a good super hero should go on patrol for evil whenever possible. She'd continued to make plans throughout the day, moving around things on the small mini planner until the swatch that made up her evening was blank and clear.
Unfortunately.. the whole patrol thing had turned out to be far less exciting and productive then she could have hoped.. Three hours had passed by without incident. No screams for help... no giant monsters of doom raining destruction upon the city. Not even a freaking vandal or litterbug passed before Sailor Polaris' watchful eyes. No... the senshi found herself simply shivering of cold and boredom. It was a serious let down after hyping it up so much over the day.
Atleast she was moving though. The walking and sneaking around kept her pretty warm and gave her a bit of exersize. Just thinking of simply sitting and watching for over three hours made the senshi shudder. No.. walking was totally better.
The loud clang and clatter of metal nearby caused Sailor Polaris to pause abruptly in her step, head whipping in the direction of the sound. And without missing a beat she was off, tearing through the alley as she listened the best she could for more noises, turning when she heard another loud clang.
Huffing and puffing, heart jumping out of her chest, the ivory haired senshi leaned against the wall as she swung around it, trying to look as intimidating as a breathless little girl could look. That was... until she found the culprit of the sound that had grabbed at her.
A groan of dissapointment and discontent exhaled into the slowly lightening sky. Cats.... stray cats... knocking over trash cans. Aurora felt she could almost cry. Striding up to the cans, she pulled back a foot, clipping the innocent can with a loud thud, feeling her aggression drain along with her adreneline. One of the cats ignored her.... the other fleeing, only to return a few moments later.
She was tired... the slighest hints of pinks could be seen on the furtherest horizon... and she'd wasted the entire night. So much for a patrol. So much for a superhero. Pivoting around slowly, shoulders uncharactheristically dipped downward, she finally made her way back towards the Academy, eager to be back inside before someone could wake up and find her. Polaris wasn't really in the mood to explain her strange appearance right now.
Perhaps this wasn't the best idea after all. Aurora would have to brainstorm something else up later. But for now she was just going to go to bed.-

"Police chases and stolen kisses" - Aurora Namid solo rp - word count 1097 -The sound of sirens was deafening in her ears, drowning out everything but the loud poud of her own racing heart in her ears. She was already out of breath... her lungs and legs on fire from exercion, but the dangerous sound of the police kept her running through the cool night air, whipping in and out of alleyways.
Noone had given Polaris the note regarding the police. Regarding the fact that the police tended to rewards their fellow 'crime fighters' with the raising of guns and threat of arrest. The ivory haired senshi in fact.. had stared dubiously at the officers when they'd arrived to the scene of the recently ended battle and began to call out horrible things on their megaphone. Terrorist? Criminal? Under arrest!?-
"But... I'm a good guy!" -She'd lamented, obviously confused, hands crossing protectively before her chest. Self preservation had thankfully kicked in, causing her to flee as soon as she saw the glimmer of lamplights on the raised guns.
It'd been easy enough to get away on foot thanks to the enhanced speed that senshi were gifted while in uniform. However cars were a different story. The squeals of wheels and wail of sirens were a troubling reminder, and Polaris found herself fleeing down any narrow alley she could find. But everywhere she turned they seemed to be. Her breath was labored, her body moving on pure adreneline alone, and as she turned down another tight alleyway she stumbled over some trash, crashing up against the wall, chest heaving.
Go go go she willed her body, but now no longer in motion it seemed less inclined to obey and resume motion. The wail was getting louder, closer. Her eyes shut in despair, and suddenly a hand fastened around her wrist, dragging her into the darkness.
She would have screamed if she hadn't been so out of breath and a hand hadn't been pressed to her lips. She shifted uncomfortably, trying to rip free as a warm body pressed against her back, falling limp only when a soft masculine whisper assured her.- "Shhhh... the police won't find you in here"
-The hand left her mouth, a lighter lifted to let a dim light flicker through the dark room, maybe a maintance closest? She could see the door to the alley and a clutter of stuff, the sound of sirens still quite loud. She could see her savior, and her initial reaction was to shiver, tugging subconciously at her seethrough skirt. He looked like trouble.. a try punk.. the kind of guy she'd walk straight past and not give the time of day.
His hair was spiked, thick jacket and grimy shirt, bits of metal could even be seen gleaming from his nose and ears. He settled himself on the ground though innocently enough, flicking the lighter off and on as his fingers grew warm. And Polaris made her way to the ground as well, trying to put herself as close to the wall as possible, trying to spot anything she could hide behind incase the police should open the door and check. She was strangely soothed again as his voice spoke in a soft whisper, helping to cover a bit of the noise from outside.- "Had a few run ins with the law myself. Totally misunderstandings though."
"They should give up before too long."
-He edged closer to her position as he spoke, until his leg was touching hers, and she felt herself shiver again, too irrationally terrified her pursuers would hear her if she spoke.-
"You look cold" -The jacket was already coming off, the weight of it touching the senshi's shoulders, and softly she sighed.. a sound of relief and thanks. Her breath was finally calming and returning, her heart while still pounding in her ears was slowing subtlely too. She didn't pull away as she felt the warmth of his shoulder touching hers too, fingers gripping the edges of the blanketing jacket.
The sirens wailed, no longer seeming to move, and she could hear the sound of shouting voices echoing through the alley. The clatter of a metal trashcan made her jump, the male figure grasping her arm now, hissing a soft 'shhhhh' in her ear. The whole sensation sent bumps down her spine and arms, her eyes flicking back to him.
He'd save her. For no reason other than helping he had saved her. Her eyes searched his face in the dim light curiously. By all her experience and judgements he shouldn't be doing any of this. Robbing her maybe.. but this..
Guilt overtook her adreneline and worry, silently chiding herself. The sirens had began to fade, until all that was left was the 'silence' of city streets. She continued to stare silently at him for a long moment, before finally tentatively whispering.- "Thank you.. I really.."
-Lips pressed against lips, causing the immediate surprised release and regrip of the thick fabric as Polaris attempted to shrink back for the action, only finding herself more trapped than before. It wasn't terrible.. the soft pressure that carressed her bottom lip, the warmth of his body leaning over hers. In fact.. she almost felt like she was melting into the comfort of the action.. her eyes fluttering closed. He'd saved her... surely a white knight deserved a kiss. And considering he'd started it himself... She wasn't entirely sure why.. but that thought alone sent a flutter of butterflies through her chest and a shiver down her spine.
A gloved hand reached upwards to place fingers on his cheek. And as quickly as it started it was over. The tender motion became a slap as a hand brushed underneath her skirt and another settled upon her bodice.
Stupid girl.. stupid stupid girl. Of course he hadn't saved her just to save her. Her lips burned along with her eyes. The comfort she'd felt before was gone, replaced with a feeling that was downright dirty, as she scrambled across the floor, going so far as to kick his arm away as he grabbed at her again. At first he was angry.. spouting the fact that he'd saved her. And then there were the sorries. It didn't matter, she drowned out his voice as she crawled across the floor and pushed herself up and out the door into the cool night air.
The tears were warm against her cold cheeks, fleeing for the second time in one night. Even white knights it seemed... were nothing but horrible men in the end...- ---------------- Sugar is Sweet - Aurora and Millahttp://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=17216227Regular - Aurora word count 1890 Quote: Aurora and Mili enjoy a fun night of relaxing playing a game of Risk and and baking a cheesecake. Scouting is dangerous work - Aurora, Charys, and Astraeahttp://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=17233627Regular - Aurora word count 2166 Quote: While volunteering at the hospital for extra credit, Aurora meets Charys and Astraea, and gets a lesson on the Negaverse. She makes a promise to do her best, and try to look out for the other scouts. ----------------
This is some serious stuff... - Aurora Namid Solo rp - word count 527 One would have thought that Aurora's previous experiences would have clued her in to the dangers of being a sailor scout. The fact that she'd almost died out on the iceskating rink. The fact that that poor boy had almost died being flung against a car. And yet somehow the novelty, the excitement, and the sheer luck has blinded her to an important fact. As much as she believed that good would always triumph over evil and the bad guys could never win.. this was not necessarily the case. She'd learned that today, and her mind was heavy from the conversation she'd had with Astraea and Charys.
Almost like a child.. she'd come to the conclusion that her winning was something destined to happen, that it really wasn't possible for her to lose. It was as if she had lost her family and her home only to be dropped into some sort of girlhood fantasy. Not the sort where you waited around in a castle for a prince to come and proceeded to pop out babies, no, the sort where woman kicked butt and took names. Despite the few close encounters, it indeed seemed like a dream, like some fun gift. She was Sailor Polaris after all, defender of justice, gifted and blessed with super powers to smite evil. Charys however was gifted too. Gifted and lying in a hospital...
Aurora rubbed her eyes gently with the back of her hand, trying to will away the stress headache that was beginning to creep up on her. She sighed as she crossed the street at the sidewalk, looking down at the ground. Astraea had said that people... regular old people were filling the hospitals. What she thought had just been evil demons was something more.. just mere playthings of an organized evil force. If she could barely beat a demon... a youma.. what in the world would she do against one of those 'Negaverse'. How would she even spot one?
A nervous stomach was beginning to accompany the growing headache the more she thought about it. And obviously.. her mind refused to go anywhere else. She just had to face the facts. Aurora Namid was no quitter. Even if she sucked at something, she saw it through to the end, and this was no different. In fact, it was like everything else ten fold.
People were DYING because of these negaverse. Senshi were being hurt, possibly killed too. This was not the sort of thing one could ‘quit’. If anything she’d have to be more diligent.
Stick together. That is what Astraea had said. She would just have to find others. Located others in their senshi forms.. maybe even in their regular lives. She would have to find them and they’d all have to work together. She could feel her optimism rising, trying hard to persuade herself from the sudden thought that “There was no way a group of senshi working together could lose”. No. One never knew what was going to happen. And one always had to be prepared to lay themselves on the line. This senshi stuff, it was serious business. As serious as it came.
