Ah, it was the time of week she looked forwards to, each and every week. The ice rink was only free for her to train individually two times a week, Thursday evening and Sunday mornings. Whislt the Sunday mornings were hard - getting up early was something no teenager enjoyed - the Thursday evening sessions were the ones she really looked forwards to, much preferring to skate under the lights rather than by the sun's rays, as she did Sunday mornings.
Pulling her skates on, beginning to lace them, Serenity couldn't help but smile. It had become routine - twice a week, every week, but that didn't mean it got any less exciting. Every time she was here, lacing her boots, her heart gave a little flutter, she bega to breathe a little quicker, and her jaw muscles instinctively twitched her mouth in a wide smile. She loved it. Pulling the laces tight and securing them in a bow, she used her arms to pull herself up, waddling a little awkwardly towards the edge of the rink. She glanced up at the ice, pleased to see it free of small, wobbly children, and with one push she was off, gliding effortlessly over the surface. It all came naturally to her, years of practice in perfecting her moves leading to perfect grace and elegance, as she moved her limbs in a beautiful dance, performing a quick jump, twist-in-the-air and land, legs bending momentairily to catch herself before she was off again, spinning and twirling.
It was unlikely she'd even notice if anyone started watching, she was so engrossed in what she was doing.

-Skates hanging from her shoulder by tied laces, Aurora made her way into the familar icerink tentatively, eyes carefully surveying the area. Any and all damage done during her last visit... seemed to have been dealt with, and she breathed a soft sigh of relief.
She should be working ahead on her class reading, or out and about trying to find fellow senshi. But her mind was heavy with thought, she was stressed. Skating had always been something she did to destress. Something about the cool air, the silence, the feel of gliding over everything without anything to hold you back.
If she wasn't supposed to be here, she didn't quite realize it. Aurora yanked off her coat, revealing an outfit that only a true skater or gal from Alaska would dare wear in this icey stadium, and pulled her ivory skates on one by one.
Tiptoeing her way across the padded floor, Aurora paused at the edge of the rink slowly, watching the single figure that glided across the ice at the moment. She obviously knew what she was doing, body moving to match the fluidity of the ice, body lifting high into the air when she jumped. Perhaps even better than Aurora was.
Continuing to watch the girl lightly, she stretched her legs lightly, trying to fight back the fear that her plans of skating would once more be destroyed by a nasty youma.-

Unaware of the other girls' presence, Serenity continued with her skating, performing several more jumps and twists before one had her land in such an angle that she spotted Aurora, eyes widening just slightly as her mouth formed a small 'o' shape, Serenity coing to a sharp halt - she sharp that small fragments of crushed ice flew up from underneath her skates. She paused where she was for several moments, looking at the girl carefully, before a somewhat shy smile spread onto her face, as she gave herself a push, sliding across the ice towards Aurora. Again she stopped a comfortable distance away from the girl, attempting to make her smile a little less shy and a little more friendly.
"Uhm...Hello?" she offered, giving a small, shy little wave as she studied the girl, trying to do so subtly. She recognized her...the white hair to match Serenity's, the dark skin...she'd seen her at school. Her smile widened as she suddenly was met with a slight wave of familiarity. She couldn't remember the girls name, but yes...she definitely attended the same school. She remembered spotting the white hair and marvelling somewhat at how long it was, and how similar in colour it was to Serenity's. She'd thought she was the only one with such an odd hair colour.
Noticing the skates on the girl's feet, Serenity's expression brightened considerably, "Oh, are you a skater too?" she asked, excitement clear in her voice. Serenity wasn't one to outright complain that her individual skating session had been interrupted - her mother might, since good money had been paid to hire out the whole rink. But Serenity wasn't planning on telling her mother the details. Blinking, her pale eyes flashed a little as she realized she hadn't yet introduced herself, a shy giggle escaping past her lips, "Oh, I'm sorry! I'm Serenity - Serenity Kinderman."

-She didn't know if she'd really expected to be greeted, but Aurora did not appear to be perturbed in anyway by it. Surprised perhaps, upset at all no. She did feel a little bad about cutting the girl off in the middle of her routine though.
Stepping around the edge of the wall, she let her blades touch the actual ice, reaching a hand out to return the greeting.- "Nice to meet you Serenity. I'm Aurora Namid."
"And in Alaska, skating is like.. one of the three things we have to do for fun." -Her smile cracked wide, as she replied to the question in a way that she thought was a little funny. Even if not, it was friendly and pleasant.-
"You go to the Academy right?" -She asked lightly, trying to confirm her own vague familiarity with the ivory figure before her, pausing only a second before she added, geniunely.- "You're very good by the way. I love to skate but I've never put much into learning the very difficult tricks." -In a way, skating was more like a special extension of dance to Aurora.-

A hand was extended and Serenity took it, smiling as she shook it gently before releasing, not wanting to hold it for too long. She had a habit of doing that, she'd been told. She listened as Aurora - oh, what a pretty name! - spoke, and for a moment Serenity wasn't sure if she was joking or not. Alaska? Did she actually come from Alaska, or was she joking? The white hair, the dark skin...it did make sense, a little. But oh my, her hair was so much longer than Serenity's. "Ohh, Alaska? I've been there skiing - it was fun!" Serenity offered, not wanting the conversation to die merely because of her lack of contribution.
"Do you come from Alaska, then?" She couldn't help but ask, wanting to satisfy her own curiousity. She should really get a little better, at realizing if people were joking or not. Sarcasm wasn't something she was good at identifying. A nod came in response to Aurora's question, Serenity's smile widening slightly. "Yes, I do. I thought I'd seen you around."
Compliments were one thing she always felt embarrassed by, though. She felt bad - she knew she was a good ice skater. She wasn't arrogant, but she did know that. And she felt bad that other people weren't as good as her. But despite this she smiled, trying to ignore the slight pink colour that had flared up on her pale cheeks, nodding her head a little in thanks. "T-Thank you." she replied, gliding backwards a little to give Aurora space to step onot the ice, if she wished.
The difficult tricks? Serenity liked to think of things in stages - you learnt one trick, then others built from that, so new tricks were never difficult. They were just as easy and as hard as the last one. "I could try...help you, if you wanted? Help you learn them?"

-Aurora nodded at Serenity's statement. It was common enough. Most never went to Alaska, it was relatively far off, without much in excitement to make the trip worthwhile. But those that did usually did so for skiing. And she confirmed her question with another nod.- "Mhmmm, born and raised there."
"My daddy ranches cattle and reindeer and that kind of stuff, so we were always pretty stuck there. Though in the past couple of years I've been hoping from boarding school to boarding school."
"So far I think I like the Academy the best, but they were all fine."
-Watching the obvious shyness cross the ivory colored girl, seriously her whole body and hair seemed to be made of beautiful glistening snow, and the slight hint of color at her cheeks, she cast her gaze away, taking a step, and then another on the ice, letting her feet move until the blades came to a stop. No need to make her uncomfortable.- "That would be fun actually. I haven't had a skating partner in a long time. I'd be nice to have someone to skate with now and again, and it never hurts to learn something new."
