Ever since Eve Summers had learnt she was Sailor Flora, Senshi of Spring, she still only had rather vague knowledge about her whole new life, for school was keeping both Rea and her so busy that they were pretty much too tired to talk about their secret lives. Eve had managed to squeeze in questions in some brief moments but still wasn't satisfied. There was a burning curiosity in her to know everything now that she had been awakened, from the talking cat, to when Rea had discovered she was Sailor Pegasus, what in the world was the Negaverse, and most importantly...

Could they wear anything over the uniform they transformed into? It was crazy to expect them to fight in cold weather in their short skirts, could they?

So, one fine afternoon on the weekend, the two were not out like most others were, but seated in their dorm, and Eve insisted a full length explanation from Rea about this all. "Senshi of Spring." She muttered as she lay on her bed, face up. "I kind of wanted to tell the kitty that it's Autumn time now." A pause. "I'm just really boggled by all of this, you know? A talking cat comes up to me and gives me a pen," At this, she twirled it in her fingers, staring at it absent-mindedly, "and I learn that I'm a magical girl that needs to help and save the world, along with my roommate and her date."

"I don't blame you," Rea replied quietly, playing idly with the dwindling pile of candy left over from Halloween, "When Astraea throws this stuff at you, you kind of blank. It's such shock, and you don't even have time to think about it before you're thrust into some battle."

In their small dorm, the strawberry blonde girl had become much more comfortable with her blonde roommate than she had with any other she had ever had before. Even her last roommate, it had merely been mutual understanding. With Eve, it was as if she didn't need to be so guarded. She had spoken more to her roommate this semester than she ever had to her other roommates combined. The fact that her cheerful, sunny roommate had turned out to be Sailor Flora, Senshi of Spring only furthered her comfort with the girl, especially now she didn't have to sneak around her. It was nice, and something she didn't take for granted. Still, she sat on her own bed this afternoon, just in case Eve needed her space, although she had tossed the blonde girl more than a few subtle hints to let her know she was welcome on hers at any time.

Smiling faintly at Eve's comment, Rea tossed a leftover Halloween candy gently in her direction, more than a little pleased that she had used the term 'with.' "It makes perfect sense. Awaken the Senshi of Spring in Autumn. Just about as much sense as talking cats," She replied, playing with a piece of candycorn, breaking it into little pieces and pausing, her tone becoming a little more serious, "Thanks again. For saving me back there. That's more than I ever did my first battle."

"Eeeeeh." She mumbled softly, turning to lie on her side facing Rea, propping herself up with an arm. "I think I'm still surprised that she's a talking cat."

The blonde girl sat up, catching the candy in her palms, unwrapping it as she spoke. "Are things really that bad? With the monsters, wait, youma, was it? And Negaverse and that Sailor Nea. She's confusing me about this whole good guys bad guys thing." It wasn't only her; the whole city was confused too, apprehensive and afraid. Something Eve could understand, but was totally annoyed with, now that she was involved in all of this.

"Are we allowed to wear like...coats over our uniforms? I think we'll die when winter comes around and the youma start rampaging about." Ugh, winter. A season which she preferred to stay in the comforts of a warm home and delight herself with warm beverages. Even if she went out for Christmas shopping, she usually bundled herself up with coats to ensure she didn't catch a cold.

"I didn't really know what I was doing, really." She confessed. "But what was your first battle like?" Eyes lit up and she scooted over to plop herself beside Rea as she popped the candy in her mouth, chewing as she looked at her roommate expectantly.

User Image -Aurora had been surprised, to say the least, when she'd looked up the two names given to her by Astraea in the student directory, and found them linked to the same number. Roommates. Something she, as of yet, still did not have, though she supposed Mili could be considered half a one anyway as often as the two visited each other.

She was minutely jealous even, of the thought of having someone to share secrets and thoughts with. It was something that nagged at her from time to time. As Aurora stood at the door, she wondered if it was some coincidence or if the two had been senshi for awhile, had requested to be together?

It'd taken her a couple days to decide on how best to set up this little encounter, and in the end, she had failed to come up with anything good. She didn't know the two by looks well enough to try and 'accidentally' run into them. And it was a little late.. to be bringing around 'dorm warming' gifts, not to mention they might not even let her in the door. Wavering for a moment longer, she finally knocked delicately on the door, before her fingers interlocked behind her back, preparing herself for embarrassment.-

"I haven't had much trouble with the youma, but then again, these last couple weeks I've managed to stumble into another senshi, which has helped considerably. Although..."

Recently, things had been getting a lot worse. Youma had been popping up an exponential amount more than they had before, and suddenly negaverse lieutenants were on the move. She didn't know if it was the fact that they had been recruiting, or whether they had just been biding their time, but it felt as though a storm were coming, one that she felt was getting increasingly more difficult to battle off. So many close calls recently... but she wasn't going to tell Eve that. Not right now. There was no point in scaring her.

"They weren't always so... big. At least, they certainly weren't when I found out I was a senshi," She replied easily, picking apart another piece of candycorn, starting to make a 2-D jack-o-lantern with them on her bed, "Actually, it was pretty pathetic. It was about the size of a dog, with several rows of eyes. It actually exploded when I attacked it -- apparently it was too small to handle the energy blast. I felt pretty bad afterward -- felt like I had exploded a pet dog. A ravenous pet dog about to bite me in two."

She grinned at Eve, a rare occurrence, amused for the nth time at how cheerful and intrigued her blonde friend got at times. "As for winter, I have no idea. I think we have a higher tolerance for it, just like we can run faster, jump higher, etc. I guess I never noticed." She hadn't exactly been very active until very recently. Patrols had mostly been her duty, or so had said Astraea. She was to keep an eye out for anything suspicious. Rea had done it well enough, but she had killed very few youma. They hadn't been so common back then. Now...

The knock at the door brought Rea from her daydream, and she got up, going to the door. "We expecting visitors?" She murmured to her blue-eyed roommate, opening the door a little, looking visibly wary.

"Ew." Eve commented, bringing her legs up on the bed and hugging them to her chest. "I shudder to think if they would get any bigger." The one they had fought in her first battle seemed huge enough, and if it continued growing, it would probably be the size of Godzilla. Then what, the senshi would have to combine together to create one ultra-big senshi robot to save the worldddddd.

Honestly, Eve didn't rule that out as a possibility. They had talking cats. What could be more surprising?

"Still," She shuddered. "They're monsters. It would have terrorized more people even if you hadn't stopped it." The girl gave her roommate a reassuring pat on the back. There was nothing to feel sorry for destroying those things, especially when the last one had got her friend.

"I hope so." She sighed. "Or I'm telling Astraea that I am going to bundle myself up in furs, despite the dress code."

At the knock, she jumped, as eyes snapped towards the door. Ooh, she hoped they hadn't been talking too loudly! She shook her head vigorously at Rea (this was supposed to be the time which she could ask Rea everything about her new secret identity after all), looking confused as she tilted herself to try and see who their visitor was.

"Hello ummm.. Hi." -She piped immediately as the door showed a sliver of light, eyes kept at the wood frame instead of the actual person who peered out at her. It seemed.. without even meaning to, her sheer embarrasment at asking the coming question made the lie look all the more believable, a soft color touching her cheeks, as her voice asked in a whisper, trying to make sure noone else would hear.-

"Do you... um."

"Have any feminine.. products..?"

-Now... living in an all girl dorm, it truely wasn't the strangest or worse thing she could ask. But Aurora had grown up in a house full of boys. A place where her little 'monthly visit' was a horrible, terrible secret. Surely it was a horrible and dirty thing. And any good person would help out another girl in this sort of need, she'd concluded. She hoped atleast.

Her eyes lifted finally, pleading with the other girl to let her in and help end her embarrasment. In fact, she quite looked as though she would die, if such a thing were possible to die from.-

"It snuck up on me this month.. and... I would hate to.. you know. Dirty my uniform before I can get to the store and get some..."

A sharp nod in Eve's direction, and she gave the light-haired girl a slightly cold look, quirking an eyebrow as she murmured a hello, not responding back. That was generally the way Rea operated, earning her many a rude nickname. The stumbling over words did not earn Aurora any points in the Marshall girl's book, although her look stayed the same. Shy was alright in her book -- she understood reservation toward people, probably better than most. But she didn't care for hesitation, which was all that Aurora was showing, from the downward turn of her eyes to the few umms that had been scattered into the sentences.

She was either very insecure, or she was worried about something.

It was not until she uttered the words 'feminine products' that Rea's expression evened out a little, slightly less cold than it had been before. Giving the girl one last nonchalant look, the strawberry blonde girl turned back towards her room, silently inviting her to step inside. "Tampon or pad?" She asked easily enough, letting the door swing open a little wider as she headed back towards her bed, not bothered by the subject matter. She said little more than this, however, her eyes falling to Eve in silent communication. She was a natural born communicator, negotiator, and generally all around people person. If she could make Rea feel comfortable, making this girl feel less... terrified, was the word that came to mind... was right up her alley.

Meanwhile, she went to her beside table, taking out a rather cute container disguised as what looked like an old-school cigarette container. She found that rarely people recognized it as either, however, usually assuming it was for make up, and it therefore made a great way to conceal her things.

She didn't recognize the girl; but Eve thought she had pretty hair, when the door swung open to reveal who it was. (She couldn't exactly see very well through the small crack initially.) Her first instinct was to ask 'How about your roommate?' but bit back her tongue, thinking it too rude. They were all girls after all, and she sympathized; hell, she hated it when the time of the month came. Especially when the cramps decided to pay a visit along with it, ugh.

"Tampon." Eve repeated, making a slight face. "I've never used tampons myself; I find the notion of stuffing a cotton wad up there incomprehensible." She gave the girl a smile, bouncing slightly on Rea's bed. "So! School's been okay for you?"

-Aurora took note of the two girls, making a visual note of their appearences and the general attitude at the moment, as best she could without looking like a creep. And as soon as she was allowed in, she quickly slipped in, moving as far away from the door as she could.-

"It's been pretty nice. The academy is a wonderful school. Lots of exciting things to do." -Her eyes settled on the girl that offered her opinion, nodding softly at the notion. It was true... when one really thought about sticking things there it was a little unnerving. But for Aurora it was even more unnerving to let the filth get out of her, squish around freely on a pad that touched her skin. Better to catch it all ahead of time. Just thinking about it all made her shiver just a little though, so she turned her attention back to the helpful girl, smiling sheepishly.-

"Actually I don't need either. But I greatly appreciate it, and I'm sorry for lying to you both."

-As if afraid she was going to get immediately kicked out, because obviously it was a very good possibility after her statement, she continued on quickly, barely pausing for a breath.- "You are Rea Marshall and Eve Summers, yes?"

"Astraea sent me." -Cryptic, softly spoken. If they were who she thought, then they'd take the bait. And if they weren't.. well.. she could play it off as crazy. Certainly she'd acted enough of that already.-

The strawberry blonde girl ignored the general feeling of being watched, snapping open the tin and pausing when she said she didn't need either. Blue-green eyes lifted to the darker girl, eyes narrowing slightly, muscles going taunt as she prepared herself. The sound of their names did little to relieve the tension -- it was only after the whisper of the guardian cat's name that she released the breath she hadn't known she'd been holding, relaxing, although she gave the girl a slightly scolding look.

"Why didn't you say that in the first place?"

The words weren't hostile as much as they were annoyed, her expression flat but not accusing. The mention of Astraea had settled any fears she had had of this girl being dangerous -- she trusted Astraea, despite how the cat seemed to hate her. (Then again, she got the vibe that she was like that with everyone.) Had this girl just said that from the beginning, Rea wouldn't have felt so suspicious, and all of this could have been avoided.

Well. Maybe.

Sitting back down on her bed next to Eve, she quirked an eyebrow at Aurora, inviting her to go on.
PostPosted: Tue Nov 03, 2009 10:58 pm

Lying? Eve's eyes widened and she released the grip on her legs, all the while staring at the other girl rather suspiciously. Why would she feel the need to lie about having her period and coming in to borrow the necessities? Had both of them done something wrong; oh no, it wasn't the whole senshi thing, was it? Really, being a hero with a secret identity wasn't a very easy thing when you had to shout the henshin to transform. (Could they whisper it? She never tried.)

She was somewhat right, and she immediately bolted up from the bed after the girl said Astraea's name, peering outside into the hallway to make sure no one was around before shutting the door and locking it. She silently agreed with Rea's question, though posed one of her own, "Who are you?" It was better to be wary, she thought, as she made her way back to her original seat.

-The door was closed, and Aurora was feeling obviously uncomfortable, both from the less than glamorous deception and the dual pairs of the eyes watching her like a hawk now. One hand gripped a braid roughly, wrapping and unwrapping the end over her fingers subconciously.

A momentary grimace touched her when the scold came, but it faded with a soft sigh, answering their questions lightly.- "I'm sorry, it wasn't the best tactic, but I couldn't think of much else. I needed to make sure you guys were the right people, and speaking about it in the hall seemed a little dangerous.."

"I'm Aurora Namid. Sailor Polaris." -It was weird how easily the words slipped out of her mouth, despite the fact that she was revealing her secret identity for the first time ever... to a bunch of strangers no less.-

"I met with Astraea and Charys at the hospital. They told me to hunt you two down. To warn you and all of the Crystal senshi I could locate."

She didn't fail to notice when Evey's eyes grew wide when the girl admitted she had lied, resisting the urge to smile. The blonde girl just came across as so adorably innocent and sweet, and that suspicious look just seemed out of place with her normally cheerful disposition. She always knew that being a senshi was much like being a spy -- you had to always stay alert and be suspicious of people. But when she was with Eve... sometimes she had to remind herself.

"Rea Marshall. Sailor Pegasus," She mirrored Aurora's introduction, obviously dismissing the initial lie in favor of hearing what she had to say. Upon hearing it, however, Rea almost wished she hadn't, her blood running cold, face paling visibly. Hospital? Charys and Astraea were in the hospital? Irrationally, she wanted to grab Evey and run all the way to the hospital, right that second. Instead, she continued to sit there on her bed, forcing herself to breath slowly, calmly, and try not to look too shocked or distressed by the news. Maybe she didn't mean Charys was in the hospital. Maybe she was visiting another senshi who was in the hospital. Maybe she was visiting a random civilian who was in the hospital.

Her veins still felt like ice.

Knowing Eve would have many the same questions she did, and probably portray them much better than she ever could, Rea opted to stay silent, listening quietly, letting her beloved diplomatic roommate take charge.

Eve didn't regard this new identity as flippantly as one might have thought she would; for her first encounter with a youma was enough to scare her into opening her eyes to the harsh reality and challenges of being a senshi. It was lucky there had been two senshi around with her, but the memory of the police aiming their guns at them had truly frightened her. Damn that Sailor Nea for making her introduction into this role more difficult than it already was. And as Rea would know, she was still sulky about the whole thing with the seasons.

"Eve Summers, Sailor Flora." She piped up lightly after her roommate had spoken. Her expression fell into distress and fists clenched, gripping the bed covers tightly. "H-hospital? Charys? In hospital? With Astraea too?" One hand made to settle on Rea's and grasp it, and Rea could almost feel the slight shaking of her palm. "How did Charys get into hospital?" The last time she had seen the other senshi, she had looked pretty beaten up. And now...she was in hospital...Eve hardly dared to imagine how she looked like now. "Is she okay? What happened?"
