Aww I want for Cwismas...Participants: Rhapsody and Lasuk
Location: LizzyMoo's Home (indoors)The weather was starting to get a bit cooler, which was a relief for some long-furred critters in LizzyMoo's home. It meant that they could stay outside and not sweat up a storm or have to pant to cool down. For other creatures, it meant they had to spend more time indoors so they wouldn't catch a chill. And even further still, some of the household pets just had a different idea all together.
Enter Rhapsody, the rather simplistic Lacewing Kyunru with not much sense to her, but a good heart. She might have had a fluffy tail and a fluffy puff of hair on her head, but otherwise, she had relatively short fur. She had no plans on going outside, yet she still had the largest of smiles upon her maw. Trotting over to a white pile of fluff that was curled up asleep, she suddenly just flopped over on top of it with a big giggle. The pile of fluff snorted and jostled a bit before lifting its head.
"Lasuk!" the kyunru exclaimed, pronouncing the Winter Kyuria's name as she had been taught. She cuddled and nuzzled, and almost seemed like that puppy dog that had been waiting for its master to wake up.
Even though Rhapsody seemed very excited, the fluff-ball didn't seem as enthusiastic.
"What do you want, kid?" he somewhat yawned out, a trace of annoyance in his tone.
"Cwismas is coming Lasuk!!"Lasuk would have blinked if his eyes actually opened up a bit more than a squint. He somehow did not follow the logic of waking him up for a holiday that was a bit more than a month away.
"Umm... Rhapsody, not to burst your bubble, but it ain't going to be here for a while still..."Stomping her paw gently down onto the ground, she shook her head from side to side, childishly arguing back
"It is TOO coming!! Cwismas is awmost heew!" She was still in place on top of the white fluff ball that was Lasuk, and didn't seem to have any intent of moving.
Had this been any other female, Lasuk might have been a bit more interested, maybe even a bit inclined to cuddle. However, this was
Rhapsody. She might have been cute, but it wasn't the same level of sophisticated beauty and elegance one would find with other female Kyunru or Kyuria. Shaking his head, he didn't even bother to push the kid off of him. It would have been pointless anyways, since she was always crawling on top of him affectionately. He never knew why, just figuring it was a kid-thing to do.
"Look, Rhapsody... why are you so insistent that Christmas is coming? It ain't going to be here all that quickly at all, unless months go by as days for you..." He couldn't help but flick his ear slightly in annoyance.
A small pout formed on the kyunru's maw, but she didn't seem daunted in the slightest. Her arguement was a good one, or at least
she knew it was a good one.
"Cwismas comes when it stawts getting cohdew, and it is stawting to get cohdew! Cwismas is coming!!" She apparently deserved some sort of treat for knowing this, for her tail started to wag feverishly.
Hasn't this kid ever looked at a thing called a calendar? Lasuk shook his head again, seeing this argument was going nowhere.
"Look, Rhapsody... we still have a while until Christmas. We need to get past your birthday first, which is in about 2 weeks. Then we have to get to my birthday." He paused and smirked a tiny smirk at Rhapsody.
"Hey, kid... I wonder if you remember when my birthday is? You are only a runt back then.."Rhapsody's eyes got rather large and once more another big smile found its way to her maw. Her birthday, and then Lasuk's birthday too?! So much fun to be had in the near future. The excitement seemed to be getting to her, for her body was now wiggling in place.
"I was nevew a wunt! I was wittehw, yes... but not a wunt!" she pointed out before asking
"When is Lasuk's biwthday?"With a fox-like grin on his maw, he uttered
"My birthday is the day I arrived here last year... one day before Christmas!" He puffed up slightly, only to be squished by a now squealing-and-bouncing Kyunru.
It would take a while for Rhapsody to calm down, but when she did, she paused her bouncing and exclaimed
right in Lasuk's ear "Oh no!!! I don't have a pwesent foh Lasuk yet!!!"With a hop, skip, and bound, the lacewing was soon enough gone, leaving the Winter Kyuria wondering if he would have been better off not even mentioning the whole issue of birthdays.
