Oh, he was just hitting ALL the right things, wasn't he? Leah batted her eyes, tail swishing behind her as she tilted her head slightly, a smile gracing her lips as she slipped her hand into his.
"You may, though, I think I rather give it after our dance~" She was always a slight tease, her tail tips curling into a heart shape as she softly purred. Aaah yes, how could Ama give this up? This was the life! Being pampered by a handsome stranger and treated ever so delicately... Leah couldn't imagine throwing that aside for a long time, permanent relationship! Even Ama found that disgusting until lately... Luckily, Iron was okay. She still wondered why Iron was special enough to kidnap her brother's affection, but fine. Different lives fit different cats.

Addie couldn't help but flush when his hands prevented her from falling and he got a glimpse of her face. Pretty! It wasn't like he wasn't used to pretty people, no, but touching one? Oh man, he couldn't wait to tell Dakota later! They'd probably laugh it off, but it was a big deal for Addie! Especially because she handed him a flower, too. Addie delicately took the flower, face lighting up and tail idly flicking behind him.
"Oh! Thank you!" He chirped, fussing with the flower until it fit behind his ear for the most part. "Adrian, but everyone calls me Addie. May I ask for yours? I'm terribly sorry, again! I really need to start looking where I'm going, but the dance is so distracting!" And the rambling began.

Leddi had begun hiccup-sobbing, clutching her new familiar perhaps a little too tightly in her terror. Thankfully, a voice distracted her, causing her head to snap up, ears to perk, and her grasp on the kidden to loosen. The familiar let out a soft bleat, flopping their head into Leddi's lap in exhaustion.
Mentally, Leddi noted the ears and tail, trying to flip through her brain to figure out if she ever saw the neko back in the village. No, not that she remembered... it didn't help most of her memories involved crying, or trying to avoid her over-protective brother. Then, her gaze locked on the sweets, her own tail flicking ever so gently as she blinked back tears, rubbing at her face before squeaking a tiny response.
"'m Leddi. T-thank you." The kitten reached out, plucking a sweet timidly before flashing a bright smile, tail swishing behind her. "You're nice." She added, breaking a tiny piece off the sweet and placing it in her lap for the kidden, nibbling on the rest. Ah, the tears had stopped, for now.

Freya had clammed up, stiff in the ground and clutching her plush for dear life. A voice cut her thoughts, head turning slowly as she peeked through her bangs to see... a baphomet? Someone her age, for the most part. Turning her head away to glance around, she made sure he was addressing her before looking back to him, tendrils flicking.
"Yes." She murmured back, voice so soft it was almost cloud-like. She failed to understand that the simple answer didn't help the other out much. She could, directly, ask for help, or even explain why she was lost, but instead a singular word answer had left her lips and she was once more returned to nervously looking around, bright blue eyes hidden behind a cascade of hair.

Cheshire snickered, waiting by the table after he had set the last lego down. He almost didn't spot a nixie trying to speak to him, but that sweet had seemed to alert him, head snapping when he saw the delicious cotton candy. Oh. It was being held by someone his age, and that someone was talking to him. One ear flicked at the question, eyes lighting right up within seconds. Ohoho, what an excellent question!
"Excellent question! Look at their shoes." He gestured towards the crowd, pointing to each junior and senior nearby. "So many are dressed to impress, which means they're wearing those stupid shoes with the tall heels. If those heels step on a lego, well, boom! They fall down!" Wait, teacher, where?! The neko leapt from the table, hiding behind the nixie.
"But, you didn't hear that from me, yeah? I'll get in some fierce trouble if they catch me pulling another prank." The cat mewled, hands placing on the nixie's shoulder as he peeked over them. Phew! The teacher hadn't spotted him!

Echo nodded faintly when he confirmed she had not been too late. Ah, good. It wouldn't do to leave him waiting for her. Her eyes had finally drifted from the plushie, focusing on her surroundings when movement caught her eye. Hm? For her? For a brief, almost missable second, Echo seemed to perk up, hands reaching out and scooping the small plush up, bringing it to her chest out of habit. She held it delicately, clearly enamored with the gift, though her face remained neutral.
"Thank you." She hummed, interlacing her claws over the plushie and twitching her tail faintly behind her in modest delight. She loved plushies, and her room was practically covered in them. Pleased, the imp's features seemed to soften, just a tad, her eyes flicking over his outfit before glancing towards the dance, returning back to Liam.
"I am not a very good dancer." She admitted softly, eyes traveling back to those dancing before glancing back at Liam. "Please tell me if my dancing is off-putting, later. I don't wish to embarrass you."

Ah good, they were okay. And amused. Good. Good good. He gave a small smile of relief, head canting to the side.
"I suppose. I'm surprised the dance hasn't turned into one. It isn't often we are gifted with a more quiet event." The hybrid nodded at her name, mentally storing it away. Pandora. What a nice name! It had a rather energetic aura to it, one that wasn't exactly off-putting, either.
"I'm Eques, pleasure to meet you."

"The puzzle game sounds like fun!" Samara craned her head, trying to spot the booth Heru had been looking at. She skipped a few steps towards it, paused and turned to make sure Heru was following, then continued forward when she saw he was. When they got to the booth Samara was surprised to see that there were some literal puzzles. Apparently when you fit the pieces together you could form an actual little knickknack-like object. The booth attendant apparently specialized in crafting them. Samara picked a puzzle and began to work on it, examining the pieces closely and carefully fitting them together. It was a new and interesting challenge compared to flat puzzles. After about five minutes straight she triumphantly held up a completed figure of a kidden. The booth attendant, with a smile to match Samara's reached under the covered booth and pulled up a real kidden. She jumped, squeaked, and admired the pretty familiar. It was so tiny! She carefully picked it up and set it on the ground. It immediately sniffed at hers and Heru's feet, then tried rubbing its horns against Heru's legs. "Silly, you just had to ask," she admonished, pulling the kidden away and giving its horns a scratch. The familiar went nearly cross-eyed in bliss.

Laurel laughed and playfully gave Flax's shoulder a gentle push. "Flirt," she declared in tones both teasing and loving. "How do you know they aren't attracted to me cause I look like something tasty they'd like to eat?" It certainly seemed more likely to her than them being attracted because of her beauty. She didn't think she was anything special to look at, though the compliments did make her blush. She was also pretty glad she wasn't a collector of magical items, considering what she knew about what aetherjellies actually ate. She looked around the room, feeling a bit better for having rested. "Want to try some games and relax a bit more, or maybe just walk around outside? It's probably cooler out there anyway, and I don't think I'm up for dancing any more just yet," she said with a laugh. A slight smile crossed Liam's face. He quickly tried to stifle it, not wanting to alarm anyone. He'd noticed it sometimes made other people uncomfortable when his fangs showed. Given how many races had sharp teeth he doubted it was the fangs themselves and more the venom they contained. Probably the same reason some people seemed on edge when they noticed the rattle at the end of his tail. He didn't think Echo cared, but he was still a bit sensitive to it and hid them out of habit anyway. It hadn't been too hard, since he rarely smiled since coming to University... Well, he was pleased that Echo seemed to like her gift. He hadn't been sure if she was the type who would like plushies or not. Girls usually liked cute things, but some were good at pretending and.....steering away from that train of thought. "I think my own dancing should be able to make up for that," Liam said, giving another, more careful smile. "It's all about how you lead, and as long as you're having fun we're not judging skill. I'm pretty patient, and could probably show you the steps." For the first time there was a hint of actual humor and warmth to his eyes. "Best part is that I have no feet for either of us to be stepping over."

As the group approach the scent of flowers flowed out to meet them. Florence gave an appreciative sniff. He loved gardening and helping his parents out, but he still wasn't really big enough to help with pruning the thorny rosebushes. They always smelled so nice and looked so pretty though. This person must have had lots and lots of rosebushes at their place to have so many bouquets! He wandered up to the booth and propped his elbows in the counter, pulling himself up slightly to get a better look. Quartz was content to just stand a bit back and crane her neck, while Vincent had no trouble seeing over the counter. There were so many different colors, that for a moment they were all a bit overwhelmed! How did one even begin to figure out which to pick? Quartz turned to Annie. "Which ones do you think your mom would like best," she asked, still trying to figure out her own answer. smolderingskies XD The one time I don't get any even rolls...

She sorted through the lockets, trying to find one that would be most fitting to her pure fey child. She seemed to struggle at it - so focused on searching, she was unaware of the skyfish that started to circle around her head.

Atoli had given up on picking a locket for Papaya and instead watched Estys do it instead. Noticing the skyfish that had appeared to have taken a liking to Estys, she tugged on her mother's arm to get her attention. "M-momma, look at the skyfish....It's so pretty...." she said, entranced by its fluid movements. She got on her tippy toes and tried to bat at it a little to get it to move closer to her.Points Estys (Senior) : 20 + 20 + 19 + 17 + 20 + 14 + 20 + 14 + 20= 164

Brynn grinned wolfishly, thinking that the flower looked nice behind Addie's ear. "I'm Brynn," she said, casually grabbing a cotton candy from a passing candy cart and allowing a piece to melt on her tongue. "Oh! Well, the dance certainly is distracting." She giggled, batting her eyes at him. "I've been looking for a partner all night and haven't been able to find one." She let that notion hang on the air for a moment, offering some of the cotton candy to Addie with a gesture. "But, oh well, let me help you - where are you supposed to be heading?"

Jeanette beamed at her new acquaintance as she took the gift, before shoving another in her own mouth, ears perked up high. One of her favorite things about these parties were the food they provided at them! It was one of the only reasons she even came down from her dorm to go to them."It's nice to meet you! You seem pretty nice, too." She watched as Leddi allowed the Kidden to eat from her lap, and cocked her head curiously, brown eyes locking on the fellow bakeneko. "Have you thought of what you're going to name it yet?" she asked, her tail flicking back and forth.
