Food || Lina loves Earth food. Lina loves Earth food so, so much. She likes eating, and she's learning to cook, and she would like to get her hands on all the recipe books ever, please. She's not very experimental in her cooking yet, because recipes are obviously important documents and rules that must be followed, but she does like to play around with presentation when she's sharing with other people. And oh, Lina loves sharing her food. Please try her new recipe she promises it's good the Internet says so.
Novels || Specifically, Lina really loves romance and especially erotica novels. Sure, she gets very blushy and embarrassed when she reads them, and they tend to get shoved under things when other people come in, but they do give her a lot of joy. And humans are so creative with their words, and their storytelling, and their romance! Best of all, there's a formula, and romance novels always end happily, and that's all Lina wants in the world.
Virtues:
Loyal || Lina is devoted to the people she loves and cares about. She is devoted to Velencya, and to the Vanguard, and to their goals, and she will work incredibly hard to get towards those goals. Especially in the wake of her sister's death, she wants to honor the loyalty Velyria had towards their people, and so Caelyna will not be shaken.
Tactical || Caelyna is a thinker and a planner, and she likes to go into things with an idea of what she wants to come out of them with. She's always looking ahead to the next step, the next choice, the next plan; it's all about the bigger picture. Not to say the details get abandoned, because they're important too--you can't build a puzzle without all the pieces, and Caelyna always wants to have as many pieces at hand as she can.
Flaws:
Overworked || Caelyna wants to prove herself. She wants to demonstrate that she's worthy of her position in the Vanguard, and make sure that no one can ever argue she got there by nepotism. So she will take on responsibilities, push herself, and generally work incredibly hard, often to and past reasonable limits.
Self-Critical || Caelyna can be quite harsh on herself, to standards she would never even think to apply to anyone else. Every mistake must be picked apart, every poor decision overanalyzed, every bad choice turned over for anything to learn from. She would say that she's only trying to improve herself by doing so, but the end result is that she does and will tear herself down and over-weigh her mistakes in ways she would find absolutely unacceptable if anyone else did it.
CIVILIAN GLAMOUR: PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
Velencians use a device that gives them a synthetic appearance; they typically only have one standard civilian appearance, however if it is compromised they can create a new one with minor plot approval. Because Velencians look different from humans, their civilian glamour can change their hair, eye, and skin color, as well as the shape of their pupils and ears to match humans. They will always be the same size and shape as their true form; this is just a cosmetic screen over their appearance to make them fit in on Earth. Tattoos can appear differently between forms; they can be programmed to exist or not exist. Hairstyles can change between civilian and powered form but should always have the same length. Unnatural hair and eye color are perfectly fine, and there is no need to say they use hair dye or wear contacts - your character is free to have been born with blue hair if you want. Genetic heterochromia is allowed, but please consider that this is still considered an oddity in our game environment; you are free to play with it but we encourage players to be considerate of this fact! If your character is intended to have different colored eyes due to injury, please make sure you have done adequate research and include relevant information when you post a quest, or PM the shop mule, The Space Cauldron, for help! Because civilian art isn’t required for play, this part of the form will be helpful in making sure others know how your character appears if you don’t yet have art for them.
Appearance: Brown skin; hair and eyes the same color as her Velencyan form, though her eyes no longer have cat pupils!
Clothes: Caelyna is still learning about human styles, and will often mix and match things a bit eclectically as a result, especially since "personal style" was not so much of a thing on Velencya. She's found she likes bold colors and fun patterns. which means she is sometimes....very....bright.

Uniform Colors: The base color of all uniforms is always Thistle.

Weapon:
Cadet Weapon: A sci-fi baton, very fancy and glowy. On contact, it can deliver a minor electrical shock that can tingle or numb the area for 15 seconds.
Corporal Weapon: A short scythe with an energy blade. The blade has an electrical charge, and can cause a moderate shocking sensation that leaves skin tingling or numb for 15 seconds upon contact.
Commander Weapon: A full-size scythe with an energy blade, powerful enough to slice though a bit unweildly for stabbing. It can be charged with electricity, and causes a nasty shocking sensation upon contact; tingling, numbness, or discomfort can linger for 15 seconds. Successive hits may cause electrical burns at player discretion.
Backstory Meta recruit!
Caelyna is the much younger sister of the now-deceased Commander Velyria. Their parents were born on Velenia, but Caelyna’s older sister was one of the first generations born on Velencya itself. Thus, she has been raised with stories of the old, living world that her parents love. As she grew and became determined to join the Vanguard so that she might work towards fulfilling her parents’ dream of returning to their home, she worked with her sister, the other Commanders, and eventually Commodore Lyndin to ensure that her skills were more than adequate for the task. Her sister’s respect and admiration for the Commodore transferred to her, and when she was asked to join a major mission to Earth with Lyndin and their newly-returned King, Caedus, she was all too eager to do so.
Her sister’s death in the conflict on Earth has only further strengthened her resolve to carry forward the dream of a living home for their people.

Commander Velyria: Older sister, deceased. Caelyna admired her sister, and strove to be someone Velyria could be proud of. With her sister gone, she carries forward Velyria's goal of saving their people and their home.
