History

Her mother was a rouge and wandered about the lands carelessly. Kichea never met her father. It never crossed her mind to ask about him. One morning after a short nap, Kichea awoke to find her mother gone. After searching for days she realized she was now on her own. As a young rouge cub she was very busy trying to stay alive. Her mother was not around long enough to show her the boundaries of different prides, so when wandering she never knew what or who she was going to cross paths with. She ran into a few lions and cubs but did not spend enough time with them to remember much.

One day she will never forget though, was the day she met Palesa and Tanaka. She was frightened of the coming storm and trusted the two adult lions to protect her as the nice lions she had met before would have. These two were much different though. Tanaka had enjoyed tormenting the frightened cub by scaring her more. Then when Kichea raced to Palesa for protection, Palesa just walked away and left her open to whatever danger Tanaka presented. It was a horrible experience for Kichea but she learned that not every lion is trustworthy and that‘s something not often taught to rouge cubs without fatal consequences.

As Kichea became older she realized it would get harder trying to make it on her own. Especially if something happened to the large rodents she often depended on for food. Knowing this she keeps an eye open for openings in prides. Although this is still sort of hard to do since she still hasn’t learned the boundaries yet.

Though she was a bit older, she was a still only a juvenile and when she met Nyekundu his pride sounded like a dream come true. He was kind to her and the other juvenile lioness who accompanied her and he spoke of a wonderful, growing pride in a beautiful oasis. She followed him through a winding jungle and across the everchanging dessert sands. The only way to leave the oasis was to follow the stars, which Kichea didn't even care to look at because she trusted him so.

Kichea lived in his oasis, with not much but a short meeting with another pride member. She didn't think much different of the place until one day as an adolescent when she seen the true side of Nyek. Lounging by the edge of a pool, she had started socailaizing with a few other lions that had gathered there. Nyekundu called a meeting in which he marked each one of them, each one of his slaves, and scared them. Leaving a deep scar of 3 V's on Kichea's hind leg. It was then, that she realized what she had gotten herself into again and that she had to escape.

Time in the oasis passed by slowly and with many of Nyek's guards and followers constantly on the watch, there was hardly any time to plan any type of escaping. Being as stubborn as she is though, she didn't give up hope but was being to wonder why she didn't. Then, one dark night she was forced to breed with Tamariku, a lion who she hardly knew, by Nyekundu. Riku promised to stick by her side and she knew she was blessed by the gods to get stuck with him.

Before she knew it she was preganant and Riku gave her a den to hide from the others in. Soon she gave birth to two beautiful cubs, Tui'lian and Nakawa. That day Riku and she made plans to escape the oasis as soon as the cubs were old enough. Their plans were soon cut short when Nyek found there den.
