((Please note this thread is for Matamani pride members only. Though the pride is not confirmed yet I thought it might be nice for us all to be able to rp together ^-^! Please DO NOT post here unless you have been recruited as the oasis is near impossible to find without a guide.
Currant time ::
With Afu's pregnancy, Nyek has found himself feeling rather cocky and proud and has taken a brave step towards the mistweavers lands. Nyekundu is currantly not here, but he isn't too far away. He is out in the jungle with the mist weaver cub Moses. He will return soon. However feel free to rp together casually, introductions etc!
feel free to post))
Through the jungle, a place not often traversed by lions, accross a revine, which, though jumpable is an obsticle in itself, to the edge of the white sands. Few even know the sands are there, noone usually comes quite as far as this in to the jungle.
Accross this barren desert where the sands constantly shift covering tracks and scents there stands an oasis. It is a large oasis, one which once upon a time must have housed many men. Walls of stone lay crumbled and the ground is paved partially with cobbles. Grass grows between these stones though in the center there lies a very large pool. It has a stone step leading in to it though it is unclear where it is being fed from the water is crystal clear.
Once through the innitial old mans city of the oasis, lands stretch for a good couple of square miles. Beasts of varying sizes live on these lands and feed the pride. Some migrate others stay. Prey is bountyful, as the spring which fuels the great crystal pool keeps the grasses green. There is no need to leave the oasis for food or drink.
This is The Mtemani oasis, The home of the ambitious, the lands of Nyekundu and Afu.

Malika'eusi found herself roaming the lands of her new home. She still hadn't competely gotten used to the fact that she now had an offical home. Soon the white lioness found herself in one of the crumbling buildings. As her sight settled on the pool of water in front of her she was amazed.
Taking steps toward it she took a comfortable seat not to far from the waters edge. After that she watched the water unsure if anyone else was around

Angamika stretched lazily in the shade, disconcerting silver eyes watching the female. Malika'eusi was her name, he had picked that much up; he had not spoken to many of the new younglings that Nyekendu had picked up. "Off you go now," he spoke softly to the small snake curled lovingly around his forepaw. "Go tell your kind to keep their eyes open, as always." Master commands, came the adoring sibilant voice as the thin snake untwined herself and slithered swiftly away. Stretching again, his frame a lot lither and delicate, almost more feminine now he was losing his cub chubbiness, Ika strolled into the sunlight, almost unconcernedly, tail flicking lightly against his pale-marked fur. "Afternoon, dear," he said aimably, turning those odd silver eyes to Malika.

Startled by Angamika she scrambled to her paws. She didn't know many of the others that resided in the pride so the male infront of her was someone new to her. Stuttering for a moment she finally finished speaking."H-h-hello, sir."
She bowed her head respectfully since she did not know what his rank was she found it best to be respectful which she would have anyway regardless. "How are you sir?"

"I'm rather finding the day to be quite delightful, Malaika'eusi." He yawned delicately, padding down to the water's edge a little way away to steal a few laps of the cool water. He looked back, his eyes mirrored and his smile happy, blinking to leave black hollows where his eyes were for a moment before coming slowly back.
"And you, dear?" A touch of amusement was in his tone; she could not be that much younger than him, but he rather liked the sound of 'sir', and inwardly he gauged carefully the reaction the pale lioness might have to him knowing her name.

Her ears twitched at the sound of her name. Since she had not met the lion infront of her she didn't understand how he knew her name. "H-h-how d-d-do y-y-you know m-m-my n-n-name?" She had begun to stutter again, something about herself that she hated the most.
"I-I have just been admiring the beauty of this pool of water..." Somehow she had managed to stop stuttering something she was getting better at avoiding, yet it still happened when she was nervous or afraid.
"May I ask what your name is sir?" Her purple eyes seemed to dance as she asked him that question but then it faded.

"Angamika is my name, but you may call me Ika if you wish." His tone was lightly amused as he sat neatly down on the stones nearby, patterned tail wrapping elegantly around himself. "And as for your name.... the writings tell me many things." A hint of mystery wound solemnly around his voice, and his eyes were engimatic. "But admiring the pool? It is beautiful, is it not?" He looked across the water, the long shadows thrown by the ruins around them striping the sand and water with patches of dark and light amidst the sunshine. "You have a pretty mind, lonely as you are, pet."

"Angamika....It is a pleasure to meet you." Malika'eusi spoke to him cheerfully, but his next words left her confused "The writings tell you things?" She asked him as she tilted her head. Everything he said was interesting to say the least.
"It is truely beautiful." The white lioness muttered softly, more to herself than to him. "A pretty mind you say? How so?" When he said lonely it about struck her, despite the fact she now had a home she didn't exactly know anyone and she was lonely "How did you know?"

"Now, now, my dear," he chided lightly. "Didn't I just tell you the answer to that question?" He turned his face towards her, the cool silver stare suddenly becoming more unearthly. "I am born of these ruins, born of the writings that wind their way around every column, every stone. I knew of Nyekendu's coming..... just as I knew of yours." His eyes flashed slightly, before he started washing one paw unconcernedly, the slightly bizarre atmosphere breaking. "And if you can take the time to admire the beautiful surroundings we are in, then of course you have a pretty mind," And his voice was now aimiable, his face all clear smiles.

"I'm having difficulty understanding some of the things you say Angamika...." Malika replied when he asked her the question. It was true, some of the things the male said to her didn't make much sense to her. Sitting down she watched him carefully as she listened to his words. "The writings told you of Lord Nyekendu's coming and of my coming?" She paused letting her next words form in her mouth. "That is interesting, have you always been able to do that?"
She was full of questions because she was simply amazed by him. "I have to thank you for the complement, although I can't see why anyone wouldn't be able to see the beauty of this place."

"And an innocent mind too," and Ika's voice was almost avuncular, his face still fixed in that light smile but his eyes unreadable silver mirrors. "I like you, little Malika'eusi. This place suits you." He says nothing more, the comments even more engimatic as he continues washing one paw idly*

"Innocence is a virture....to some..." Malika almost whispered since her voice was so soft when she spoke. A smile had creeped onto her features while she had been listening to what he had been saying. "You are by far the most interesting lion I have ever met."
Silence followed her words she thought of something to say in response to his words. "I love being here it feels as if I am finally part of something....I have to say I like you too." Cheerfulness had not left her voice

Ika's reply is solemn, and he winks, one eye becoming startling black for a moment. "That's because you'll never meet another like me, dear." He smiled sunnily. "And don't be discouraged. Though some lions here may have seeming rough natures, I can understand them wanting to live in my ruins. Now you are here, you are indelibly a part of something."

"That may be true, I have so far only met a few, but still I believe you may be the most interesting lion I have met, and the most interesting that I will meet." That was the white lioness's conclusion since she wasn't sure she would meet many later, yet she still believed what she did. "I hope you don't find me odd it is just one of the ways I am."
"Everyone has a rough nature to them, but they also have a kinder nature although some refuse to show it at all." Pausing she thought about her logic, and wondered if it made any sense at all. "It feels nice to be apart of something..."

The young one was so innocent... inwardly Ika shook his head. He knew Nyekendu, though a strong power to utilise and hide behind, did most probably not have that kinder nature she was trying to see in everything. For that matter, did he himself even have one?
Angamika laughed lightly. "Of course it does. Tell me, Mali - may I call you Mali? - would you like to learn more about this beautiful oasis that finds itself in the middle of the harsh desert?"
