You are unsure of how you actually fell asleep, but it seems as if the combination of the heavy fog and strange atmosphere around you caused all your sense to dull and fade away. Your limbs feel heavy, and it takes a while for your sense to focus again.
Something is wrong.
You are in a room of sorts, more cave than room. There are signs of this place being lived in, few objects far and in between. There is a door where the cave exit should have been, though it doesn't seem to want to budge.
The cave is decently lit, and at the end is a carving on the wall. It seems to mean something, but you are unsure. In fact, it is uncertain how you got in, or how you will get out.
"No hard feelings," a voice suddenly calls out, it booms it, as if the recipient was quite large. The cave shakes terribly, it practically collapses, though the door does not move, "there is one last test to gain our trust. This has been our village for a long time, and it is not so easy to open ourselves to outsiders. Prove yourselves, and the door will open. Solve the riddle."
Silence now. And for minutes later, nothing else.

WELCOME TO THE PUZZLE ROOM:
gaia_star Mechanics will work a little differently this time! The main puzzle can be solved entirely ocly, but in order to gain clues about what to do, your character must ICly interact with the environment around them.
gaia_star You must do an introductory post of your character being in this thread to participate in the puzzle event!
gaia_star This is the layout of the cave. Your character can interact with ANYTHING in the cave (or anyone, by quoting them). If you wish to interact with an object, type your interaction words in bold red.
-For example, Steve took a look at the table and knocked on the surface. A GM will respond ASAP. If your character is successful in finding an IC clue, it will help solve the actual puzzle element. All information gained ICly here ANYONE can use oocly for the puzzle!
gaia_star This image above is the start of the main puzzle. This part can purely be done OOCly. Take a good look at this image and figure out how to solve it. Here are the puzzle rules.
1) All images are located in my folder: (http://zoo.thesporkedken.com/puzzle/) which is obviously hidden.
That means in order for you to find an image, you must solve the puzzle by taking the answer you think it is AND adding .jpg OR .png to the end of it. Whether it is .jpg or .png is entirely random, you must figure out which extension it is!
Let's have an example. Here, for example, is the first clue:
What do you think the answer is? Let's consider it being: 3 and try entering it into the URL as 3.jpg
(http://zoo.thesporkedken.com/puzzle/3.jpg).
Again, extensions may be .jpg OR in special situations, .png. Keep that in mind! There are also clues that may throw you off of the true puzzle! Sometimes you may have to use other features of the shop to figure out the answer (this includes potentially info threads and minis site).
gaia_star Answers to this part will always be a series of numbers. So like 3.jpg or 4424.jpg or 623242.jpg. They will always be in this the folder http://zoo.thesporkedken.com/puzzle/ so make sure you have the right folder extension!
gaia_star The goal is to obtain runes. When you have enough runes (5 minimum), you can attempt to solve the final puzzle: with the runes you own. You cannot use runes you DO NOT own or you will be disqualified!
gaia_star When you think you are ready to solve the final puzzle, place the runes in the proper slots in the image above, and PM Zoobey. There is a 1 hour penalty for WRONG ANSWERS, so think carefully! A PM will respond whether you are right or wrong!
gaia_star When someone has solved the answer, the door will open. All will be able to leave, and only then will prizes be handed out.
gaia_star In the event nobody solves the answer, raffle tickets will be given out to all participants but they will not be eligible for the premade
gaia_star Good luck all! The minimum requirement for participating and getting RP points + raffle tickets is simply 400 words of RP in this thread!

Vaudrey did not recall falling asleep, but he was awake now and it was unnerving; like arriving in the middle of a dream where one could not remember how they had gotten there in the first place. A sudden appearance into -
- well, wherever he was. He pushed himself unsteadily to his feet, feeling terribly heavy all over, and brushed a few stray locks of hair away from his face. His eyes flickered from side to side, dark gaze sweeping across the cave walls and the sound of the voice made him stumble, his heart thumping in his chest.
"Riddle?" Vaudrey wondered aloud, and he did so love riddles. This was not fighting some enormous beast, nor collecting something for someone - this was logic, he supposed, and he very much enjoyed this sort of thing. Whether or not he would be able to figure it out, well...
That remained to be seen.
Tentatively, Vaudrey shuffled over to the nearest object and tapped lightly on the coffin lid.

Lock rubbed his head, unsure of where he was. For a moment he thought he was actually back at his dorm, but then he realized that the ground was way too hard for his bed.
He summoned Voodoo as his next action, groggily sitting up, trying to be on his guard because he was unable to shake the paranoia in his head. If someone was going to jump him, he wanted to at least have his familiar out, annoying as she was.
A voice filled him in at least partially about what their purpose was. Solving a riddle for ... their freedom?
He ground his teeth, standing up from where he'd been placed. It seemed there were others in the cavern too. "Shun? Piper?" He hadn't even seen Brenley since the snake-bus. s**t. This was probably not good.

Andrew woke up. The first thing he realized was he really did not want to gain the villager's trust. He didn't give a s**t about them, he just wanted the bus fixed so he could leave. One would thing they would hurry up and help them fix things so they could leave forever and not come back.
The second was that he was trapped in a cave, and very unhappy.
Finally re realized this was a puzzle of sorts. While he did like puzzles, he did not like being trapped while figuring out puzzles. ugh.
Andrew checked out the door and then Walked over to look at the runes.

There were a large number of upturned runes. Most of them were blank. There was only one that actually seemed to be carved, though it was also glued to the ground. There seemed to be a sheet of paper fastened underneath it, covered up.

Vaudrey clutched at his chest with taloned fingers and and almost wilted right then and there, peering over the side of the coffin at the villager inside. "Sorry?" he repeated, craning to hear, wings flapping behind him. "The key to the door is what now?"
He tried poking the sleeping villager awake.

Despite all efforts, the villager would not wake, though he did repeat the same phrase over and over again, much to everyone else's annoyance.
There seemed to be a sheet of paper near the runes. Most were blank and one looked odd. Andrew tried to pick the piece of paper up without tearing it. He also attempted to pick the rune up till he figured out it was actually glued to the ground.
For now he was ignoring the other creeple.

He woke up, stared around, and immediately wanted to close his eyes and go back to sleep, hoping this was a dream. He was unsure how exactly, or heck even where exactly, he fell asleep. He felt heavy, no really not just from turkey steaks, but actually HEAVY.
Scared out of his wits the kitsune bolted up as the voice sounded and the walls shook. he even gave out a little hiss in irritation, his fur sticking up all over the place. Remi wondered how he stayed sane with all these odd predicaments he got himself in to. Just another day! Glancing over he noticed a familiar face, and laughed at the irony of it all. Didn't he jsut recently inform Vaudrey it took a lot more then book smarts to graduate from amity?
Still it seemed they had to do things to get out of here.....so. Approaching a seemingly giant hole in the ground he crouched down and called out. "Hellloo?" Secretly he hoped no one answered.

Puella wasn't really sure what was going on.
Sure, she was tired. She'd done a lot of things for these villagers, and it wasn't that surprising she'd fallen asleep. Maybe it wouldn't even have been surprising if she'd fallen asleep standing up. She'd climbed a lot of mountains and fought a lot of weird beasties and carried a lot of heavy stones that were even taller than she was. But, Puella was pretty sure, she'd have remembered coming here.
"But...where are we?" she asked, not really expecting an answer.
But it was a riddle, right? So that meant they weren't in danger...maybe. She hoped. They just needed to figure out how to leave. She nodded to Vaudrey knocking on the coffin, and turned to the water herself. Carefully Puella entered the water and tried to see to the bottom. She remembered how to swim, right?

Vaudrey's shoulders had slumped a little, but he gave a heavy sigh and decided that his attempts waking up the villager was so far having no effect whatsoever. There were others in the chamber with him - Vaudrey beamed a bright smile at them all - and then attempted to look inside the coffin to see if there was anything else other than the villager.

A small army of angry bat minipets flew right out. They did not like being disturbed. Below, they could hear the strange tick tick tick of something.
A few shakes of her head brought her vision back a little better before peering around at where she exactly was. And what a place she had ended up in!
A dank cave. Great.
Well, even with the cave looking like someone had been living here, it didn't look all that safe. Crystals lying about, random items strewn about.
And this puddle. Silannas looked down into the puddle before squatting to get a better look.
