CURRENT NEWS:

Finished! No more prize items can be ordered. Thank you!

Take our feedback survey!

PRP/ORP/BATT posts can count towards karma/credit rewards until the 31st, when we will lock this thread and not take any more prize entries. As long as you have gotten your posts done and filled in, they can be counted.

And with that, another chapter in the squishy struggle of our troll's lives has come to an end. The trolls aligned with the military have been struck by an unlucky spaceship, while the Phoenix Initiative supporters (and bewildered tag-a-longs) have slipped through the grasping hands of the empire, and discovered a sanctuary. There will be continued mule posts in both threads until activity in them drops off, or we reach Sept 20, when there will be one final mule post in each thread. We will be leaving all meta ORP threads / Hunt threads open until Sept 20 to finish getting stuff tied up in them, then locking and moving all summer meta mule threads to the archives.

The newly discovered swamp town ruins will now be available as a location for trolls to live! Trolls who start here as children must have been either hatched from the Initiative's mother grub, and start automatically as 'fledgeling members' of the Initiative, or were quest children who ended up discovering the place via this meta. We will also be setting up a thread where users who's trolls have connections to the Initiative can request to move their hive permanently here, getting a new cert background. This thread will also be available for other trolls to request new certs for trolls who have been displaced by other reasons during their lives and would like their cert's background location to reflect that.

Before we go onto prizes, We'd like to thank Katanari for lending his troll and words for this event. We couldn't have kicked it off with such a bang without you! As always, we love to have trolls from non-staff taking a step up into the meta spotlight. If you have gotten inspired by this to approach us with your own characters and plots to give us something fun to work with, we welcome you with open arms.

In addition, here is everyone who through event activity, qualify for the new troll & alt art prizes below.
Thank you all for your endless, or close enough, stamina, effort, and creativity. Italics denominate those who joined with a quest troll!

To make this summer spicey and exciting, we'll be combining the usual premade and powered troll rewards with the mini/winter meta's item reward systems.

All troll art prizes will be decided upon by a random number drawing. Premades & customs will not be favouring newbies over veterans. For all rewards that are based on if you posted in various parts of the meta, you must have filled in all placeholders by the time you submit your forms in this thread! We will be going back and checking to make sure that there are no empty posts. Please remember, new PRP threads and posts in the ORPs started after this rewards post was posted on the 25th will not count for rewards. You have until the 31st to finish up existing PRPs and fill in reserved posts for rewards, however!

To see how many growth/battle points your troll can claim, check the spoiler below!
Did you...
...post 500+ words interacting with other trolls before, after or before & after the boss battles in the Phoenix Initiative ORP? (+1 rp point)
...post 500+ words interacting with other trolls as a child in the Phoenix Initiative boss battles? (+1 rp point)
...post 500+ words interacting with other trolls in the Dark Swamp ORP? (+1 rp point)
...post 500+ words interacting with other trolls in your Wild Hunt map? (+1 rp point)
...post 500+ words interacting with other trolls in a Meta-Inspired RP/ORP? (+1 rp point)
...post 500+ words interacting with other trolls as a child in a Dark Swamp mini-boss thread? (+1 rp point)

...post at least once every round or hit 0HP as a teen or older in the Phoenix Initiative boss battles? (+1 bat point)
...hit 0HP or had an enemy hit 0HP as a teen or older in a Meta-Inspired BATT? (+1 bat point)
...hit 0HP or had an enemy hit 0HP as a teen or older in a Dark Swamp mini-boss thread? (+1 bat point)

For meta-inspired rps/orps, batts, etc, you can get as many points as threads where you met the requirements.
Any rp done in this meta cannot be counted for trolls who participated as a quest profile. It is canon and can be kept in their journal when they are full shop trolls, but cannot be used to count towards growth.

To see how many event points you potentially collected from your activity, check the spoiler below!
Did you...
...participate in at least three rounds of the opening battle? (+1 EP)
...write enough in the swamp ORP to qualify it as a rp? (500 words) (+1EP)
...make it, one way or another, out of the Wild Hunt? (+1 EP)
...and did you do all three things above? (+1 EP)
...with a quest troll? (+3 EP)

Points are, as always, per user not per troll.

To peruse the premade powered/mutant trolls, see what customs we're offering, and find out who won MVP latent powers, check the spoiler below!
For this event only, you may only enter for this or the alt art below. Not both!
All new trolls this event, including customs, will fall under the rehoming rules.
Users can enter into both the premade and semi-custom drawings, however they will only be allowed to win one.
If their name is rolled for both, they will be asked to pick which they would like, and the other will be re-rolled.

We have four premades to give out this meta. Fun stuff! As always, their gender can be decided upon by their owner. Their teen art will be on templates.
First we have a blind medium who can speak with and control the spirits of the dead, a redblood, with the symbol of a ghost's triangle headband.
Secondly we have a troll with the power to create temporary clones of themselves, a greenblood, with a paper cutout symbol.
Thirdly we have an elusive winged mutant, a yellowblood, with a bug zapper as a symbol.
Fourthly we have an aerokinetic troll who can control the wind, a greenblood, with a breeze symbol. This troll comes with premade teen art!

We have four semi-custom trolls that people may win this event! These trolls must be one of the following: seadwelling purpleblood, jade greenblood, powered, or with a wing mutation. As they are semi-customs, their teen stages will all be done on templates.

Jade green blood? Jade green blood! As a jadeblood your troll will
1) be able to go out during the daytime when the sun is up and not suffer adverse effects from it. They will however still be at risk from undead attack.
2) be able to become a rainbowdrinker naturally. This means they will not have to pay an ep cost/have to go through Vrykol. They must die as a teenager or older for this to come into effect!

3) have the option of having a virgin mother grub lusus. if she is chosen to die during the shop (this is not necessary, her lifespan is shortened vs a true mother grub, but it is still possible to be long) then staff will work with you to decide on if anything happens with/what happens with her matriorb.
4) be required to have the jade blood hex from the create-a-troll thread

MVP powers!
Congratulations to the following trolls below! Due to receiving the majority of player nominations, you are the champions of the 100 meter feels-off of this meta. Your trolls now can unlock latent powers that were lying dormant in their bodies up until this point. To see what alt art prizes are up for grabs, check the spoiler below!
For this event only, you may only enter for this or the new troll prizes above. Not both!
For this event only, you may only enter for this or purchase a sewing dummy. Not both!

While your troll can get a sewing dummy and get meta-themed alt art in the item prizes, we're also giving away general alt art, that doesn't have to relate to the meta.
This can only be for their current stage, and will be either on a pre-existing template, or the lines will become a new one if your troll's body type does not match to an existing one.

2 Wiggler's First Alt Arts
Do you not have alternate art for any of your trolls yet? The first two alt arts we give away will exclusively be for people who fall into this category.

3 Alt Arts
These three will be rolled for among all people who enter for alt art of a troll, including people who entered for wiggler's first and did not get anything.

To calculate how many item prizes you can get, check the spoiler below!
If your troll was a Royalist, they are rewarded with Credit that may be spent at the nearest military supply post.
If your troll was a Rebel, they are rewarded with Karma, which will influence the items that somehow find their way into your troll's life.
The difference between these is simply roleplay fluff, they're the same system!

Did you...
...reach 500 words interacting in a ORP/Meta-inspired RP? (+1 karma/credits for each, maximum of +5)
...and complete the ORP/Meta-inspired RP? (+2 karma/credits for each, maximum of +10)

...pvp with another troll (took and gave min 1 hit) in the opening battle? (+2 karma/credits)
...end the first battle with no strength left (0hp)? (+2 karma/credits)
...participate in at least 3 rounds of the battle? (+1 karma/credits)
...participate in every round of the battle? (+3 karma/credits in addition to the +1 above)

...play your own troll's roshambo battles against enemies? (+2 karma/credits for each, maximum of +10)
...played roshambo battles for someone who was away, against enemies? (+1 karma/credits for each, maximum of +5)
...played your troll to the end of the Hunt and they were directed to leave the field? (+5 karma/credits)
...escape from your captor/loose your prisoner in the ORP afterwards? (+2 karma/credits)

...reach 500 words interacting in the swamp ORP? (+1 karma/credits)
...fight someone else in the swamp or a meta-inspired swamp BAT thread? (+1 karma/credits)
...fight the easier swamp mini-boss? (+3 karma/credits)
...fight the harder swamp mini-boss? (+5 karma/credits)

PAST NEWS: (from oldest to newest)
Quote:
Part 1
The military isn't sending out pamphlets. There's no bullhorn-touting drone parading around the streets, aggressively flexing in your face and telling you to do your duty.
There are no disasters, no mysterious weather phenomena, and no sensationalist news stories about rampaging lusii. In fact, everything seems to be fine.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.
Path 1.1 If your troll participated in pro-royalist activities during their last meta:
It's time for the third quarterly tri-sweep physicals. As a registered member of Alternian's reserve troops, you'd be mad to not miss out on the free healthcare provided by the army. It's the best any troll could get, and unlike the back alley 'doctors' that aren't affiliated with the royal troops, you don't run the risk of ending up one limb and several hundred beetles shorter than you had been at the start. As always, to make sure you get a time slot for your check up, you should go to the nearest army base a few days before to fill out your confirmation-of-life papers, to help the army validate that you are still kicking, not culled, and should be included in the list of active troops.

Path 1.2 If your troll has not previously participated in any side's activities during a shop meta:
There's a recruitment fair going on at the local army base, catering to trolls of all ages. The army has a spot in it for trolls of all ages, is the gist of the wordy banners and jaunty signs tacked to the front of the base's gate, and the free grubcakes offered, in bright appealing colours, are drawing in a sizable rabble of ravenous-looking lowblood youths. If you're interested in finally becoming an active troll citizen, a slightly snobby drone informs you, you're welcome to return in a few days. There will be a mass transport ship to one of the central army locations, where there will be a free meal, speech, and presentation put on. All you need to do is put your name down on the list that she waves in front of you. She also stands between you and the exit until you sign it.
*This path may be taken by trolls that do not yet have art/are not officially entered in Hivestuck. Trolls who take this option and are not shop-official, must have their profile accepted already. These trolls can only roleplay in the mule created threads designated for this meta event. Think of this as a 'guest access pass' for the duration of this event.*

Path 2.1 If your troll participated in pro-rebel activities during their last meta:
Since the confrontation with Errade, and the reveal of the second mother grub, things have been quiet. Perhaps realizing how emotionally draining their last few adventures had been, or perhaps distracted by her own problems, Byakko had not called upon the Phoenix Initiative for any traditional counter-royalist activities since the disastrous trap at Chittentown. However, with the loss of the majority of the 'old guard' of the Initiative, the base has been becoming oversized, dusty, and mostly abandoned. You're aware that there has been a general agreement to seal off a few of the lesser used passages and exits, as well as clean out the personal affects of trolls culled during the final confrontation. The date agreed upon for meeting at the base for a day of mourning, memories, and hard labour is approaching fast, and you'd best mark it off on your calendar, or at least send a message to Byakko letting her know that you'll be there.

Path 2.2 If your troll has not previously participated in any rebel side activities during a shop meta:
You've heard muttered stories of a group of rabble-rousing trolls, fighting against the queen and decent trolls alike. They were in league with a mad plant-drinking troll or something like that, blew up Civisect City, and rode around on a wild lusus summoning thunderstorms to terrorize the population. Obviously some of this stuff is complete insanity, but you're still interested in them nonetheless. Perhaps if you could find a troll who seems to know more about this mysterious group you could find out more about them?

Part 2

Part 3
Path 1
In a last ditched attempt to flee from you, the dissenter trolls have collapsed the tunnels in which you were fighting. Now, determined not to let them slip away, your greenblooded guide has hastily separated you into groups to either dig through the rubble and follow behind the fleeing rebels, or try and go back the way you came, spreading out to try and herd them off from the front. Above all else, you are told not to stop for an instant, or the will vanish like smoke into the air.

If you choose to dig through the tunnel and follow from behind, you are now Path 1.1. If you choose to fan out and search from another direction you are now Path 1.2

Path 1.1:
If you were too hurt or otherwise unable to immediately pack up and give chase, you were told rather unceremoniously to stay behind. The job thrust on you was the slower task of cleaning the tunnel of detritus and forming a backup tracking party, following the rebels in their footsteps to seal off any backward retreat, so they could not perform the same manoeuvre again. Assisting you were fresh waves of drones, backups that had been waiting outside the caverns during the battle. After a pause of about half a day, the drone forces finally broke through into a great abandoned cave, littered with troll eggshells. Not given much time to take the place in, the tracks of the departing rebels were immediately discernible, with the bulk of them accompanied by a heavy object that had been dragged out the largest tunnel.
Path 1.2:
You and your fellow trolls waste no time retreating the same way you came in. The rebel base is in complete disarray. Explosives, still-fresh traps and corpses and the lingering reminder of the brief but deadly warpath makes your exit arduous and grim. However, passage is much quicker than trying to dig your way out of the base. Assigned to squadrons, you quickly regroup. Nearby, the military observation outpost reports seeing small groups of trolls heading Northeast.

Path 2
There is little time to spare as you recover from the falling rubble, smoke and dust. You have barely escaped the callous betrayal and onslaught by the royalists. Now, the only option is to run. Through quick decision-making and desperation, you are able to immediately mobilize. Orders, shouted over the settling rocks and muffled forces outside, paint a clear picture: it is time to abandon HQ and avert the royalists however possible. Trolls who volunteer to be the fore-runners of the group are sent out of the tunnels through secret backways. Meanwhile, forces tending to the Mother Grub quickly flock to her side to make it safely out of the fray, falling back to protect her and her brood at all costs. Time is of the utmost essence now – any hesitation may mean a swift and brutal culling.

If you choose to remain behind to help move the mother grub you are now Path 2.1. If you choose to act as the diversion and go ahead to draw the royalists away, you are now Path 2.2

Path 2.1:
It is a demanding task to load the Mother Grub for transport. Even for a young Grub, her girth is enormous and easily fills the huge wheeled skip that you aim to shove her into. It takes a whole team to lift and carry her into the transport, and even more trolls to collect all of her brood. Eggs and grubs alike are stored as gingerly as possible into the skip. The eggs rattle until they are lashed down, and nothing can calm the peals of frightened baby troll grubs. Unfortunately, there is only a single exit big enough to head through. After the groups of trolls leading the diversion depart through individual escape tunnels, your trek begins.
Path 2.2:
Your choice seems to be either honourable or absurd as you head out with your companions through the many tunnels of the Phoenix Initiative HQ. The plan is simple: spread out and draw the royalist eye. As chittentown is to the south, and NHC is to the east, north or west seem at first to be your best options, as well as the warning to not get caught and don’t stop running. It is emphasized that you are seen by civilians and soldiers.

Not given much time to take the place in, the tracks of the departing rebels were immediately discernible, with the bulk of them accompanied by a heavy object that had been dragged out the largest tunnel.

Following behind, you set out to the north. Eventually, the path sloped upwards into the moonlit night, on the very edge of the desert. The forces sent into the desert appear to have dissuaded the rebels from a sandy trek. The clear, visible tracks lead north-east deep into the woods of Four Fronds. Preparing for a long grueling walk, you set out into the forest. As you walk, you skirt the base of the great Busthind Mountains, your prey having seemingly become aware of their tracks, and trying to travel over harder ground. Tracking becomes precarious, but soon it also becomes difficult to follow as the rocky base of Busthind and turns to thick dirt and the treeline of the forest begins to grow sparser. Erosion and moisture turn the dirt into mud, and soon firmly carved out tracks are obscured by vast and foreign marshland. It is clear the rebels are making a desperate move, the difficult terrain no doubt making the passage of the huge Mother Grub a major difficulty. You are now deep in the muck of the swamp in fast pursuit!
==> The Dark Swamp

The radio waves are soon abuzz with the news. Soon, you line up to receive the latest troll-tracking technology and are each handed a Troll Positioning System (TPS), to be used to track the rebels as they fan out through the landscape. Now equipped with trackers, there is little time for extra preparation and the chase begins.

You exit the outpost and make your way into the Four Fronds forest. The trek begins at a quick clip under Four Fronds’ mild climate. While there are no rebel tracks to be seen, the TPS starts to pick up the trail the deeper the squads head into the woods. The chase feels eerily enough like a large-scale Four Fronds hunting party. The small blips on your trackers indicate that the rebels are out of the woods, and are scattered. Fanning out means breaking up the large forces into smaller groups, and now unfamiliar territory appears ahead. You continue eastward until your feet begin to sink into the ground and the air becomes humid and invasive. Dangerous flora and fauna can help or hinder the passing dissenters. The frontrunner rebels are somewhere in this new, swampy land you have encountered in your hunt.

After the groups of trolls leading the diversion depart through individual escape tunnels, your trek begins. As you prepare to leave, you fortuitously receive word of royalists swarming the desert. Ambush having been avoided, you continue your trail. It is quickly realized and decided that the mountains are the most strategic path. The crags and ridges of Busthind are filled with caves for hiding, and on the solid mountainside tracks are difficult to trace.

Setting out on the undeveloped Busthind trail means scouting and clearing paths. No hand is idle as you traverse the steep paths of the Northward mountains this clear night. Finally, the terrain becomes too hazardous. For individual trolls, passing through increasingly narrow paths carved out of the mountain is a deadly balancing act. It is simply unthinkable to continue to ferry the Mother Grub through such difficult terrain, and the deep Northeastern foothills of the mountain are abandoned in favor of an Eastward trek past the Four Fronds Forest. Immediately it is realized that you have already passed the forest proper, and that to the north of it is a vast swamp. The damp, waterlogged lands are what you pass through now, and slogging through damp ground becomes another challenge for you and your rebel associates. Even with your head start, royalists are in hot pursuit and you have a duty to save not only yourself, but the future of a new Alternian brood.

You are given a device called a Troll Positioning System, or TPS, to detect the presence of any unwanted attention nearby, stolen from the royalist base.

The mysterious contact also tells you to avoid the desert, as a huge royalist force has spread out in search of fleeing rebels. This, removing your option to go west into the desert, gives you only one direction to move in. North. Once you split from the HQ, the chase begins. You cut a wide path into the Four Fronds Forest. The TPS reports royalists already close behind, and once you enter the thickest of the woods speed and careful navigating is all that matters in your escape. Four Fronds alone means treacherous ground. Eventually, your exhausting race through the woods leads to you a seemingly unexplored region. The moonlight is dim through darkening trees. The softening ground leads you to burbling waterways. Finally, as chirping jumpcreatures begin to sound, all traces of Four Fronds disappear into the murk. The untamed maze of the swamp sprawl in front of you, with enemies close behind.

==>Royalists turned back, Rebels plunged deeper into the woods.

Wild Hunt Rules:
The Wild Hunt

You and your squadron of allies are now steadily advancing through the murky swamps north of Four Fronds. You are either the hunter or the hunted, and you must now strive to fulfill whichever role has been placed upon you. As the foliage and underbrush becomes nigh impossible to pass in areas, you feel like you are in some sort of giant, watery maze. Thankfully it seems your TPS, aquired one way or another, functions as a map as well as a life detector, recording the areas you have passed through, and allowing you to get a better sense of what direction you are going.

In the hunt you must help your team navigate through a small maze, while either chasing after/avoiding the other team and either capture them all, or find the exit. As always, if you are confused about a rule please post your question in the thread below as soon as possible.

Demo Thread
Check this out to see what game will look like as it happens, as well as explanations of what each mule post during the game will mean.
Early 10th change: Did a slight swap of the rules for starting Roshambo fights. Please re-read if you checked this before!

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Game Structure:

Each day, teams will advance forward on a grid map like the one to the right, clearing the grey unexplored areas of the map to find the correct path through the maze, either to their targets or to the exit. Each team will have a certain amount of 'options' to take that consist of either using Advance Forward, moving onto a directly touching passable square in any of the four cardinal directions, and revealing all passable tiles one square away from them. Or, they can Scout Ahead, which reveals all passable tiles two squares away them. These two options are illustrated in the diagram on the right. Trolls 1,3,4 used Advance and can see one square ahead, while troll 2 used Scout and can see two squares away from himself.

Each team must send the actual commands one at a time to the mule via PM. If the teams are split (1 troll solo, 1 group) then both can give their commands together. (Troll A moves north, trolls BCD move east.) Once a command has been sent, the team's map will update and the mule will post in their team thread with any Confrontations, or other results. Groups can roleplay in the thread but should not be too descriptive of their whereabouts, or risk the other team cluing in to their location on the map! If one user is offline and their troll is not moving in a group, teams can move the other trolls around on the map and simply leave the afk player's troll be.

Map Squares & Player Marking:

Passable squares can be moved onto from an adjacent passable square or a special square. They are areas of the swamp that trolls can pass through and aren't blocked by deep water, thick trees, or tangled bush.
Not passable squares serve as the maze boundaries. The swamp is too dangerous or unyielding in these squares for trolls to pass through!
Special squares can be passed through by trolls or parties of trolls that meet a set of special requirements, visible once the square is.
Unexplored map squares are a mystery, trolls must move closer to them or use their Scout Ahead action to see what these tiles are. Once a tile is revealed, it is considered as 'registered' on your party's Local TPS Network and remains visible on the map for your party.
Rebel and Royal start squares are where each team arrived on the map, their entrance. It serves no purpose but to show where people started. Each team will have a different entrance on a different part of the map.
The maze exit square is the goal of the rebel forces, if they manage to arrive at it without being caught they have put enough distance between them and the royalists to escape from the chase! If three or more Rebel trolls makes it to the maze exit, the Rebels are considered winners of the map!

Party member locations will be marked on the map with the respective tokens, and grouped by colour to show if they are travelling solo or with other trolls.
Rebels: ❶ ❷ ❸ ❹
Royalists: ① ② ③ ④

Options:

Advance Forward is the standard 'move' option. It allows your troll/group to move onto any adjacent passable square, and reveals any passable squares that are touching their new square.

Scout Ahead is good for scouting out potential dead ends without wasting two Advances and checking out intersections without splitting the party. It allows trolls to see one extra adjacent tile away in every passable direction.

Push Forward is an extra option that can be used once by each troll per day. If a group is using Push Forward and one troll has already used it that day, they are left behind and their Action/Scout options are set to 0. Push Forward is essentially one extra Advance for the day at a cost of -5hp to every troll who uses it. Trolls cannot restore hp for the entire maze event, so Push Forward can be used a finite number of times. If a troll hits 0hp via Push Forward they have passed out in the swamp and are removed from play, gaining no bonus meta rewards vs leaving the field other ways (see the separate Royalist and Rebel rules below). It is essentially 'bad end'. Don't reach 0hp.

At the start of a new day, trolls and groups reset to the default options depending on if they are Solo or a Group. If not all Advance/Scout options were used by each solo troll/group, they can carry over ONE DAY to be spent on the next day or else they will disappear.

Solo vs Groups:

Trolls can either move on the map by themselves, or with other trolls (2+). Moving solo trolls can spread out to a wider area, but in a group they can do much more each day.
Solo: A troll (1) can Advance once (1 move) and Advance OR Scout once (1 move). (2 total moves)
Group: A group (2+) can Advance two times (2 moves) and Advance OR Scout two times (2 moves). (4 total moves)

Trolls can switch from travelling solo or in a group by declaring it while moving in or out of a square (ie, Troll A Advances west, splitting from the group, OR Trolls B, C Advance west, splitting from troll A), but the remaining moves they can make a day varies depending on the circumstance. A troll cannot move into/out of a group if they are at 0 actions remaining, without using up a push forward.
The act of splitting a group, where one or more trolls move out of a group's square, does not use up an advance or advance/scout option.

Two trolls merging to form a group have however many Advance/Scout options the individual trolls had when they merged.
A troll merging into an already existing group does not increase or decrease the Advance/Scout options the group has remaining for the day.
If two groups merge, the one with the least remaining Advance/Scout options is now the main group, and it's remaining amounts are used.
If two groups split up, each group divides their remaining Advance/Scout options that were NOT AT FULL by two, rounding down, to determine how many they have now. Any Advance/Scout options that were full (ie, they did not use their two optional Advance/Scout moves at all) remain at full.
If a troll splits from a group, it gets 1 Advance/Scout option.
If a group splits into individual trolls, each troll gets the group's remaining Advance/Scout options divided by two and rounded down.

TPS:

Once per day, one member of your party will get a signal strong enough to detect where the majority of the other team is, relevant to them, on the map. This translates to game mechanics as one use of the TPS per game-day. They can simply state to be using their TPS in the mule PM and in response will be given a direction such as "North-East" in return. The jungle is dense and the foliage jams signals, and thus the TPS will only pick up the enemies direct location if they are two or less squares away from you. In that case they will show up on your map until you or they move out of the range.

Confrontation:

Trolls will eventually come into contact with members of the other team. If two or more trolls from different teams are on touching passable squares, or on the same square, conflict will happen between the trolls immediately present. Rather than using shop combat, winners of the resulting scuffle will be decided with the following online roshambo game. Users are encouraged to take on the games that involve their troll directly, however if they are offline and unable to participate a team member can step in and play the game for any missing teammates.
If the winner of the game is the Rebel troll, the Royalist troll is knocked out, loosing their remaining Advance/Scout options for the day and being unable to move at all until the next day starts. (If they are in a group that moves afterwards, they must be left behind.) If a rebel troll beats 1 or more royalist trolls at roshambo, at the end of the confrontation (when no more roshambo battles can be done), they can advance as many squares as the amount of royalist trolls they knocked out, in addition to daily advance opportunities. These advances will follow the same rules for merging into groups as standard advances.
If the winner of the game is a Royalist troll they have subdued and captured the Rebel they are with, and both must wait to follow the instructions given to them by the mule on what to do next. Trolls may have to fight multiple matches against the other team if there are uneven parties on either side of the confrontation. Disclaimer: Roshambo is simply used to determine the winner of whatever physical confrontation is taking place, trolls are not actually stopping in the swamp to play games for wigglers. If three or more Rebels are caught this way, the Royalists are considered the winners of this map.

IC, confrontation can be dealt with by trolls setting traps, outrunning, or hiding from the other troll, rather than straight combat. This is how children/teens/adults can compete on an even ground. Children can also have their lusus fight for them. Feel free to play around with how your troll comes out the victor over a stronger opponent!

In A Nutshell:

Each team splits into groups of various sizes and uses Advance Forward and Scout Ahead to navigate the maze, while using their TPS to avoid/hunt the other team.
Players must PM all their instructions to the Mule, and watch their respective thread/map for updates. Players from both teams may also rp in their threads during the game.
Groups start the day with 2 Advance and 2 Advance or Scout options (4 total) and solo trolls start the day with 1 Advance and 1 Advance or Scout option (2 total). Left over options are carried forward one day.
Enemy teams are only visible from two or less passable squares away.
When trolls are in adjacent or the same squares, the trolls on those squares fight using Roshambo until all on one side are captured or knocked out.
Rebels aim to reach the exit square, if at least three land on it and exit the map, they win. Royalists aim to hunt down and capture the Rebels, if they catch three then they win the map. If two rebels get caught and two escape, then the map is a tie.

ONGOING EVENTS:

Any rps that are started after the 28th may not qualify for increased rewards.

Prizes: Yup.
