This is a contest for temporary co-ownership of a purewalker. The winner will receive full rights to the next breeding (and may choose the purewalker stallion), and ownership rights will return fully to me once the co-owner receives a basket.

THE RULES
This contest is for PUREWALKER NEWBIES ONLY. If you already own a purewalker, co-own a purewalker with breeding rights, or know you have a purewalker on the way, you are not eligible to enter. If you co-own a purewalker but have NO breeding rights (meaning you will never get a basket from them), you may enter. Please be aware that this is for a TEMPORARY CO-OWNERSHIP FOR A BASKET. Once you win a breeding and receive your basket, full ownership of Hræsvelgr will return to myself. Hræsvelgr may only be bred with another purewalker. No exceptions. Once you have your basket and if you decide to RP your new purewalker, you must keep to the purewalker RP rules. If staff contacts you about the way your purewalker is RPed, please cooperate and don't give them a hard time. Please feel free to PM me any questions you may have! Late entries will not be counted, whether or not I'm here to close the thread. Please be sure to fill out the form in its entirety! You will be disqualified if any parts of the form are not filled out. (NEW) I will not be offering to review any entries if you don't win. Sorry!
Hræsvelgr is a skinwalker with many years under her wings. She has been in the Kawani lands for a long time now, has learned how best to spread terror among these living souls, and enjoys finding new ways to stretch her creativity and hone her skills in torture, always looking for the satisfaction of that perfect scream. She looks for ways to test the strength of her victim's bodies, wants to see how long it takes for them to bleed out, how much she can do to them before they die. While she wishes she could be there to greet the dead souls, she delights in knowing that their deaths won't be the end of their torture. Hræsvelgr wants to be the nightmare that keeps foals up at night, and she leaves her mutilated dead victims out where she know they will be found quick and still fresh, if only so the stories of her horror never die.
She was young and fresh-faced when she emerged from the Cursed Tree, eager to spill living blood, to spread suffering, but she was left wanting. The confines of reality outside of the Underworld were stifling, unable to express her true creativity with such limitations. But there was one thing that this place offers that the Underworld did not; a true fear of death. Death meant nothing in the Underworld, but here, it was everything. Souls in the Underworld already lost everything they held dear; they had nothing left, but here in the Kawani lands Hræsvelgr found that these beings had things they would fight for. They had spirit and hope, love and joy, all emotions that Hræsvelgr had never seen before. She hated them. She wanted to crush them. She wished to taint this world with evil until it was consumed by it, and where would their hope be then?
Determined to make her mark on the living world, she has since become something of a legend, a story whispered amongst those with pure souls that fills their hearts with fear. Don't go into the woods, they say. The Corpse Swallower lurks there. The very land rots in her presence, the stench of death follows her. If you find even the crickets have stopped singing, run as fast as you can, or she'll get you. Some details may have been exaggerated or romanticized, but those who are foolish enough to try and find the Corpse Swallower are never heard from again. She has claimed her territory in the forest, and decorates the trees with blood and rotted corpses, the peeled skins of her victims, leaving no question that this area has been spoken for: Trespassers beware.
Hræsvelgr the (Terrible) Mother She has already given birth to three purewalkers; one stallion and two mares. They are: Abaddon, Hellhound, and ???. Their father is Seethe, but this was an OOC breeding. The IC father was an unknown wolf purewalker stallion. Hræsvelgr didn't care to get his name. The resulting children do not know their mother or father, and the same will apply to all foals she has in the future -- at least where she is concerned. Hræsvelgr will not name her children. She doesn't care if they live or die, let alone that they had names to go by or enough food to survive on. She only follows through with pregnancies because it would be a risk on her own life to get rid of them. They should be considered lucky they don't get eaten as soon as they're born. She doesn't care about putting her foals into baskets to let them develop. If the foals aren't found by Kawani natives to put them into baskets themselves, then they're left out in the open to die. Lucky for them, the Kawani people believe all life is sacred. She will only do-the-do with stallions purely based on instincts. If the stallion doesn't leave afterwards on his own, she will violently chase him away -- or kill him. Whichever happens first. She will leave the foals far away from her territory, and after that, she doesn't care what happens to them. If the stallion wants to keep them for his own nefarious plans, he's welcome to them -- but at no point will she allow him to trespass on her territory. None of her children are exempt from her violence. If they ever find her, she will kill them, just as she would with anything else.

THE FORM
To enter, please fill out the form below in its entirety. You are filling out this form for the future purewalker basket you will receive from the future breeding, NOT as Hræsvelgr herself (ie. you are not filling in the plots section for Hræsvelgr, but as your future foal). As many people choose names, personalities, and plots based on the breed, gender, and looks of soquili, the answers to these questions are NOT set in stone (aside from the questionnaire section). When you receive your basket/foal, you are welcome to change their personality/plots as you see fit -- these are just to be sure that all entrants understand the nature of purewalkers and how to RP them.
Need some extra guidance? Have a look at Mindsend's work-in-progress Guide to Soquilian Skinwalkers thread. Threre is a lot of useful information there to help you RP your skinwalkers!

LET THE BODIES HIT THE FLOOR Username: Kettyn Name of Future Foal (Optional): F - Uusoae, M - ?? (haven't thought of one yet) Personality of Future Foal: Merciless Plot Ideas for Future Foal:
A Horror Emerges - This would be the first RP in which the foal would take its first taste of flesh from an unwilling victim. There is no remorse in the foal for the killing of an innocent life but instead an incessant need to prove that he/she deserves to exist. This need to prove himself or herself would consume all other desires for the first couple of years.
Sibilant Whispers - The lure is set, the bait taken, inch by slow inch would this individual gently tease a line in which his/her victim would be ensnared by. Promises of grandeur would be whispered in the darkest of recesses, promises that would never be fulfilled, merely a means to obtain sustenance on which to grow strong and powerful.
A Matter of Preservation - Through repeated observations and many attempts at trial and error would gradually see this individual learn techniques in which to preserve a kill to prevent it from spoiling. It would free up time of constantly hunting for food and allow for more nefarious schemes.
No Mercy - Even though it would mean confrontation and a possible debilitating injury or even death I'd want this individual to come across Hræsvelgr at one point in their life.
I swear to follow all Skinwalker rules, and keep anything that doesn't fit shop canon out of the shop threads and guilds: I solemnly do swear.
Questionnaire It is required to answer these questions to have a chance.
Question: If someone you wish to breed your skinwalker with insists on all three breedings being together, how would you explain this in story canon? And how should this be handled in breeding forms? Answer: Most likely the easiest explanation for story canon is survival of the fittest really. Two strong individuals seeing something in the other that can be used or manipulated to suit their own needs. As for handling it on breeding forms you would use selective permission each time a slot is used as skinwalkers/purewalkers cannot lifemate.
Question: Do skinwalkers form family units or care what their family thinks? Answer: Absolutely not. Skinwalkers are not known to be caring, sociable members of any family. They would likely fight without due concern for harm they would inflict on each other; possibly even to the death.
Question: If you have a hard time RPing a skinwalker in character, what can you do?. Answer: There are a few options here: 1. You could choose not to RP the skinwalker. 2. You could RP the skinwalker but not record the RP in the official Era Guild (like offsite with AIM) or post to a private guild. 3. There is always the option of seeking help from the RP manager.
Question: Skinwalkers can, on rare occasions, form packs/herds to organize an attack, but they always break apart shortly afterwards or sometimes even before they manage to stage the raid. What do you think happens to cause these breakups? Answer: Coalitions of skinwalkers would break up because no one in the group would want to follow another individual for too long. Essentially everyone in the would resort to bickering and infighting which would drive wedges in the barely-there "bonds", shattering them and causing all hell to break loose.
Question: In your own words, please explain the nature of skinwalkers. Answer: In my own words skinwalkers are evil incarnate. They are not to be trusted. They lie, manipulate and cheat to sow hatred and discord amongst those they would see as enemies aka everyone. They kill without remorse or guilt and even take a sadistic glee in the ending of others lives.

LET THE BODIES HIT THE FLOOR Username: spelldancer Name of Future Foal (Optional): Charis (f)/ Chares (m) Personality of Future Foal: Calculating: Charis has a heart of darkness as she likes to think of it. She lives for the despair of others, delighting in it like someone might delight in the joy of others. Her favorite way of hurting others is to stalk them for days, finding out what they care about and then destroying it in the worst way possible. A tree is burned, a familiar killed and displayed, a loved one simply goes missing with no trace. In her own area are souvenirs of the tragedies that she has created. All carefully arranged. When viewing them, there is no remorse ever, simply a feeling of pleasure that arises as she relives the destruction. Charis prefers the quiet violence but that doesn’t mean that she can’t cause explosive destruction when it is appropriate, or when someone ventures too near her living area. She is possessive and will not stand for intruders, either into her area or on her prey. They are hers and hers alone to play with; anyone who jeopardizes that is eliminated.
Plot Ideas for Future Foal: Slow and steady wins the prey: Stalking a Soquili for a long time over the course of months, slowly eliminating everything that they love.
No one messes with my things: Someone gets into her territory and removes or destroys some of her souvenirs. Charis hunts them down, making mistakes along the way and finding the wrong someone’s but she doesn’t care. Finally finding them only to discover that they are another skinwalker or something equally powerful and being beaten.
Soft hearts equal easy times: After getting injured convincing a unicorn to heal her, only to damage the unicorn in return. Charis will let the unicorn will escape and then return to leave gruesome presents such as another unicorn’s horn as a reminder to the unicorn of his folly.
The hunter becomes the hunted: Being stalked herself and taunted. This angers Charis into folly and a confrontation occurs. What happens, who wins, and the fallout depends on whom she confronts.
I swear to follow all Skinwalker rules, and keep anything that doesn't fit shop canon out of the shop threads and guilds: I swear to uphold the way of the skinwalker.
Questionnaire It is required to answer these questions to have a chance.
Question: If someone you wish to breed your skinwalker with insists on all three breedings being together, how would you explain this in story canon? And how should this be handled in breeding forms? Answer: First of all, I wouldn’t continue to breed with them. It makes no sense in my head for Charis to do that and thus would not be something htat I would want to do. No matter how much I liked the other soquili. But if for some reason I did decide to have the same soquili have all the breedings together, it would have to be something like one of the Soquili, either Charis or the other one, was a roamer who returned to the same place a number of times and thing just happened. In the breeding forms it would be handled like any other fling that happened more than once.
Question: Do skinwalkers form family units or care what their family thinks? Answer: No.
Question: If you have a hard time RPing a skinwalker in character, what can you do?. Answer: I can ask for help from the RP staff or my RP partner if I am unsure of something being appropriate for something that I am thinking of for Charis. Or if someone points out that what I am doing might be inappropriate for a skinwalker I can ask for help then in judging what is correct.
Question: Skinwalkers can, on rare occasions, form packs/herds to organize an attack, but they always break apart shortly afterwards or sometimes even before they manage to stage the raid. What do you think happens to cause these breakups? Answer: Skinwalkers are all dominant personalities and do like to take orders from others. Combine that with violent tendencies and staying in a group is impossible. The friction between skinwalkers and the urges to take control and put others in their places would be too great to stay as a pack or herd.
Question: In your own words, please explain the nature of skinwalkers. Answer: Skinwalkers are evil, pure and simple. But evil comes in many forms and thus each skinwalker is a unique creature. They delight in the pain of others. They don’t have the same emotional range as others, and can’t feel love or remorse for example.

LET THE BODIES HIT THE FLOOR Username: Alanna the Pirate Queen Name of Future Foal (Optional): Kaimia (F) , Luithor (M) Personality of Future Foal: Morbid Curiosity (see more in rp prompt response) Plot Ideas for Future Foal: ((Will use "he" pronouns throughout just to make it easier to write))
--- Foal Snatcher: Ever heard those tails of Skinwalkers stealing naughty foals? That is exactly what Luithor will do one day. I'd want to rp this out with a family. He would probably torture it for a little while and either A) this will be an owned foal whose parents will rescue it or B) this will be an NPC foal, who will die at his claws.
--- Moar Foals: The first foal was fun... but how many can he get away with stealing?
--- Foals of my Own: He will definitely be the sort of Purewalker to want children, mostly just to have things to exert his power over.
--- The Dark Side: He finds a weak stallion that he enjoys tormenting, keeping him alive simply for the fun of scaring him in the darkness. But what will he do if this stallion goes on a journey to the cursed graveyard to become a skinwalker himself, seeking revenge?
I swear to follow all Skinwalker rules, and keep anything that doesn't fit shop canon out of the shop threads and guilds: Upon my honor, I swear to follow the ways of Skinwalker.
RP Prompt: You are a foal purewalker trying to find your way in the world, fighting for survival. You stumble across another foal -- not a skinwalker -- who wants to be your friend. Their parents seem to be nowhere in sight. How do you react?
((I will rp it out as though my foal is male, though I have no preference))
Luithor was born with a thirst in his heart. The day he emerged from is basket, wobbly and starving, he would have no one to show him what it meant to be alive. Wandering aimlessly, he learned quickly to stick to the shadows, for his claws and feathered pelt seemed to scare everyone. It was through this sneaking that he first saw what a "family" looked like. These "adults" never seemed to take orders from anyone... but the little ones... the ones his size... they listened to everything they were told. In his early travels, he found himself intrigued by these "families". Of course, he had no urge to have one, but the power the adult exerted over their foals fascinated him.
Funnily enough, sometimes these foals tried to be his friend, and it amused Luithor that they all seemed to have this urge that he never felt. He would try to exert over them the same power that their parents did, but never to any avail. Out of frustration, he left many of them behind torn and bloody, fearing any Soq with strange feet. Why would they not listen to him? They seemed so eager to please their caretakers... why not him? He was more fearsome than they were, by far!
One day, Luithor would get his answer. It was a foggy morning, when he came across his latest victim. Though still a foal himself, Luithor had learned better than to just stomp up to the scared filly that seemed lost in the mist. His eyes were much better than most other kids, he had come to notice, and he peered at her with that same morbid curiosity. Eventually, however, he grew tired of just watching her list about aimlessly. With a grin, Luithor called out, "Whooo goes there?"
The little filly jumped and ducked closer to the ground, "D... d... don't eat me! I... I'm Lilianne. I... I'm lost... I can't find my papa..."
Luithor laughed from his perch in a tree overhead, replying, "I will not eat you... but how are you so sure your papa wants to be found? Maybe he just left you."
Little Lilianne wailed mournfully, "Papa would never leave me! I was just going to go a little way from the den... I should have listened to them... I shouldn't have wandered so far..."
At this, Luithor's ears perked and he jumped down from the tree, landing close enough to Lillianne that she could see him through the fog, "What... you always do what your parents tell you?"
Lillianne shrieked as a strange, clawed foal appeared before her, and shrank closer to the ground, "W.... what are you?"
The skinwalker foal snarled and snapped, "I'm the one asking the questions! Do you always do what your parents tell you?"
The little filly looked up at Luithor and tilted her head, "I... I guess... though I didn't today... I sure wish I had..."
"Why? Nothing bad happened to you... what... you regret meeting me?" Luithor growled, realizing she was just like everyone else, stupid and shortsighted.
"Well... no... but you are rather strange..." Lilianne said she looked him over, "I've never seen a colt like you before".
"Ya well... maybe you're strange and I'm normal! Ever think of that?"
Lilianne laughed a little at that and shook her head, "You're funny... so... uhm... where are your parents?"
Luithor stiffened and snorted, "I don't have any... and if I did, I'd hate them".
"Oh..." the filly said, almost kindly, "Well... maybe you can come live with my family! We could be friends and..."
"What? No way! Have to listen to someone telling me what to do all day?" Luithor snapped, interrupting her mid-sentence, "Don't you wish you could do whatever you want? Why do you listen to your parents?" Now this... this was what Luithor had always wanted to know. How did they have so much power over foals? It's not like he ever felt the need to listen to adult Soq...
"Oh... well... I guess it would be more fun to just do whatever I wanted... but... I don't want to get in trouble," Lilianne replied haltingly, as if she wasn't sure whether or not there was a right answer.
As this, Luithor froze.... she didn't want to get in trouble? As in... she didn't want to get punished? But then... "So... you only listen to them because you're afraid of them?" His eyes grew wide with realization.
Lilianne, on the other hoof, regretted her choice of word immediately, "No no! That's not what I meant..."
But Luithor was already muttering to himself, "Fear.... that was always the key..."
"No wait! I'm not afraid of my parents..." "Foals do not wish for the pain of punishment... they fear it..." "Well ya... but... no one likes getting punished..." "So you listen to them because you fear them!" "No! That's not what I meant! Stop twisting my words around! STOP IT, YOU'RE SCARING ME!"
Luithor froze and looked back at Lilianne with a fearsome grin, "Well... if you're afraid of me... they you should listen to me..." He took a step forward as the filly took a step back, her ears flattened against her head, fear glimmering in her eyes. "You should run..." he growled, taking another step. Shaking, the filly whined, "But... but... can't we be friends?" Luithor laughed and replied, "We are friends... but I am the stronger friend, and you fear me... so you should listen when I tell you to run... now..." he took another step and fanned out his wings, screeching at the top of his lungs, "RUN!"
With a squeal, Lilianne turned and ran back through the mist, screaming for her parents, while Luithor fell to the ground laughing, filled with mirth. He'd finally unlocked the secret... how to get anyone to do whatever he wanted... it was fear.
Questionnaire It is required to answer these questions to have a chance.
Question: If someone you wish to breed your skinwalker with insists on all three breedings being together, how would you explain this in story canon? And how should this be handled in breeding forms? Answer: If he/she bred with the same partner three times, it would be because they simply kept running into each other. It would not be likely, and would be completely unplanned, but would happen out of carnal necessity. On the breeding forms it would be like a fling, done with permission multiple times.
Question: Do skinwalkers form family units or care what their family thinks? Answer: Not in the least. A skinwalker might have children, which might stay around until adulthood, but they are solitary creatures and having two or more together for prolonged periods of time would only end in trouble.
Question: If you have a hard time RPing a skinwalker in character, what can you do?. Answer: Not get a skinwalker? A better breed would be a Kalona, that isn't pure evil. If you can't rp evil, you shouldn't get a skinwalker. If you already have one, then it is always wise to ask others for help or advice, such as shop mods or other skinwalker owners.
Question: Skinwalkers can, on rare occasions, form packs/herds to organize an attack, but they always break apart shortly afterwards or sometimes even before they manage to stage the raid. What do you think happens to cause these breakups? Answer: They aren't known for being cooperative or team-players. Skinwalkers in a group would likely only put up with each other to achieve their ends, but beyond that, the dynamic required to make a group work would be beyond them. Arguments would spring up, some would feel crowded, and the group would fall apart as quickly as it was formed.
Question: In your own words, please explain the nature of skinwalkers. Answer: Skinwalkers are the unholy offspring of predators and darkness; they have no goodness, no redeeming qualities, and that is quite alright with them.
LET THE BODIES HIT THE FLOOR Username: sheppardkid Name of Future Foal (Optional): Kourui (f); Sakki (m) Personality of Future Foal: Devious. Kourui/Sakki is a Purewalker who exists for three distinct pleasures- manipulation, dismemberment, and ultimate dominance. They possess the ability to manipulate the desires of other Soq and take great pleasure in the torment. Kourui/Sakki take their time with games and challenges as opposed to killing straight away. Very few Soq realize that they have been entwined in their web of violence and deceit until it is too late.
To Kourui/Sakki, there are few things more pleasurable than to feel the warm blood of their prey oozing down their pelt, the tormented screams like an orchestra of agony in their ears, as they methodically rip the unfortunate Soquili apart. Their flair for the macabre is even more pronounced in how they dispose of the remains- often times leaving the bones and pelts of the victims outside of their territory for loved ones to discover. Only the finest of “trophies” are kept and scattered throughout the territory as emblems of their demented pleasure.
Plot Ideas for Future Foal: Learning Curve- Kourui/Sakki has to start off somewhere. This part of their life will be dedicated to learning the ins and outs of what it means to be a Purewalker. Their stubbornness and bloodlust will lead them into some intensely dangerous situations against other Soquili. Consequently, Kourui/Sakki will have to learn how to survive on their own, especially during such confrontations with other 'walkers.
Killer’s Keepers- Kourui/Sakki will wander throughout the Kawani lands, searching for a territory of their own…or one that they can take. It is during this time that their signature style of killing will be developed to its fullest.
Sibling Rivalry- A little known fact about Kourui/Sakki: their drive for dominance knows no bounds. One of their greatest yearnings is to one day claim the title of strongest Purewalker. Where better to start than within their own heritage?
I swear to follow all Skinwalker rules, and keep anything that doesn't fit shop canon out of the shop threads and guilds: I do solemnly swear it!
Questionnaire It is required to answer these questions to have a chance.
Question: If someone you wish to breed your skinwalker with insists on all three breedings being together, how would you explain this in story canon? And how should this be handled in breeding forms? Answer: I would not agree to that given the nature of Skinwalkers. The only exception would be if the offered mate was also a Skinwalker and it was a matter of the stronger one seeking out the weaker one to dominate and humiliate. In this case, I believe one would use a "selective breeding" form.
Question: Do skinwalkers form family units or care what their family thinks? Answer: Nope. There are no such things as family ties to a Skinwalker.
Question: If you have a hard time RPing a skinwalker in character, what can you do?. Answer: Read the Skinwalker information guide, talk to an RP manager or Uta or Mindsend, research other Skinwalker RPs, RP in private guilds or PM or other similar threads/ways, be sure to state that they may not or do not fit within shop canon.
Question: Skinwalkers can, on rare occasions, form packs/herds to organize an attack, but they always break apart shortly afterwards or sometimes even before they manage to stage the raid. What do you think happens to cause these breakups? Answer: The very nature of a Skinwalker is to dominate, be violent, and to take care of number 1. Therefore, ego and blood lust take over so that the Skinwalkers fight one another.
Question: In your own words, please explain the nature of skinwalkers. Answer: Skinwalkers are pure and unequivocal evil. They care for no Soq but themselves and will do anything to fulfill their desire for chaos and destruction. There is no reasoning with them as their whims are their own.

LET THE BODIES HIT THE FLOOR Username: Painted Moose Name of Future Foal (Optional): Pestilence (f or m) Personality of Future Foal:
(Played as female here)
Pestilence, much like the plague she was named for, is a skinwalker with a fixation upon the diseased. She does not prey upon the weakened, but rather will spread disease by exposing perfectly healthy prey to a slow, maddening death. There is nothing quite so sweet as awaiting the screams for mercy, nor the pleading to Gods whom seem suspiciously quiet. Only when the victim turns to Pestilence does she offer them the chance at peace; go forth and spread the disease they carry to another, then she will "heal" them. Once this has been accomplished, she returns to her lair with her pets, both old and new, having never intended to make good on her bargain.
She maintains a distance from the creatures she infects so as not to catch the disease herself. This is mostly accomplished by containing them in a pit, lined with the corpses of victims and past meals alike. If the mental anguish does not drive the creature mad and force a suicide, then the eventual rot will consume them. It's a fun little game for Pestilence; something to keep her focus when she isn't out on the hunt.
Pestilence will never try to hide the foul smell emanating from her pit, nor will she discourage other Soquili from finding her lair. If they are fool enough to find themselves in her territory then only one of two possibilities await them; consumption by Pestilence, or the pit.
Her favorite victims are expectant mothers. The closer they are to birth, the better. These special treats Pestilence will keep isolated until they are perfectly ripened, and then savor every bite as one might a perfectly tender steak.
Determined to spread her taint, Pestilence is ever searching for new territory to expand her operation and fresh faces to distort in boils. She will own this world one piece at a time, and will see it's lands rot beneath her feet. They call her Pestilence in the foot hills; a cursed disease, far worse than anything one may catch, and a thing to be avoided at all costs.
Plot Ideas for Future Foal:
Oh s**t! - The mate to one of the expectant mother comes to fight Pestilence for his mate and unborn foals. Should he lose, she will likely skin him alive and leave him with his mate until such a time she sees fit to consume him. Should he win (which in rp verse, is more likely), she will have a life long goal; track them down, and be rid of them, as well as their line.
Not again! - Pestilence is much more of a thinker than a fighter, and thus her prey can be stolen from her by a larger force. Should this be a member of the opposite sex (depending on what gender Pestilence is born as), a potential breeding may occur. This, of course, will be Pestilence trying to use sex as a means of gaining her kill back, and once successful will do everything in her power to kill the male/female. (Best step off, ho!)
Forced relocation - The stallion and escaped mare will obviously have told others of the horrors they encountered. Needless to say, they'll bring a posse to kill the beast. Pestilence will try her best to fight off the hoard, but in the end their numbers will be too great, forcing her to flee for her life. (Injuries will be sustained during this rp)
Breedings - While not necessarily centered around plot, her entire first breeding will be gifted to Purewalker newbies, as I believe in spreading the love.
I swear to follow all Skinwalker rules, and keep anything that doesn't fit shop canon out of the shop threads and guilds: I, Painted Moose, swear to follow the Skinwalker rules and keep all non-canon plots/rps/ideas away from shop threads and guilds.

Question: If someone you wish to breed your skinwalker with insists on all three breedings being together, how would you explain this in story canon? And how should this be handled in breeding forms? Answer: While this rubs me raw on all sides, as I wouldn't settle on this at all, I understand that some users would want to. That being said, sex is usually a manner of asserting dominance, so it isn't unlikely for two skinwalkers to be feuding over a particular territory to come into contact multiple times over a life span. There would be absolutely no life mating involved, only flings, and he'd better damn well be on his game to keep coming back to the same female lest he have his bits demolished.
Question: Do skinwalkers form family units or care what their family thinks? Answer: Hell no. They are incapable of love, and are abusive to one another, regardless of blood. They hate you regardless. There is no bond. Family may join together for a short time should the mother decide not to immediately kill her spawn, but that's usually only until they are old enough to become competition. At that time she will either run them out of her territory or dispose of them. Mates don't happen with walkers, and the only "units" they make are temporary ones built on serving a purpose (such as taking down a herd or a large prey beast). Once this is accomplished they are each others worse enemies and competition for the prize.
Question: If you have a hard time RPing a skinwalker in character, what can you do?. Answer: Give it to someone who can or not get one at all. If you want evil without being really evil, go for a Kalona or a psycho reg. In the case of keeping your walker you can always ask for advice. There is a guide posted up with everything you would need to know about walkers, and if you still can't get out of the morally grey area then they aren't for you. You shouldn't get them just to collect them, or simply because you won a raffle. Skinwalkers are commitments, Purewalker or not. If all else fails rp them off site, in pms; generally anywhere not Soquili canon.
Question: Skinwalkers can, on rare occasions, form packs/herds to organize an attack, but they always break apart shortly afterwards or sometimes even before they manage to stage the raid. What do you think happens to cause these breakups? Answer: I think I covered this in a different section, lol. THEY ARE COMPETITION. Skinwalkers put their own survival and needs above anything else. Whatever prize they may have obtained as a unit is now the goal of said walker, and the strongest/smartest will no doubt destroy the others to obtain it. There is no love among walkers, nor is there sympathy or a willingness to share.
Question: In your own words, please explain the nature of skinwalkers. Answer: Skinwalkers are what gave birth to nightmares. They are the night and all of it's evil incarnations. Straight from Hell itself they rise but unlike the demons of old they do not form groups to decimate villages. They are the solitary stalkers; the heartless killers; the ones that corrupt and spread legends.
LET THE BODIES HIT THE FLOOR Username: Of The Epidemic Name of Future Foal (Optional): Camazotz, Consumer of Children Personality of Future Foal: Famished Plot Ideas for Future Foal:
(This is all done as if the foal was a female. XD I doubt much would change if it turned out to be a male. We shall see though!)
Firsts, are always special. - Cam's first taste of flesh is a basket she tears open to feast on the foal on the inside. I haven't decided if I want the parents to find her and the foal to still live (somehow) or what. I just know I want her to tear open a basket to feast on the insides, as a foal herself. She finds it's not quite as easy as she thought to hunt food.
Growing without guidance. - It's hard, even more so for someone so stunted in their range of emotions. Who would take care of a skinwalker, even a small one? Someone, perhaps, but maybe a more nefarious soquili would throw her some scraps. Or bully her into being their attack dog for awhile. Cam isn't good at pretending but she is good at eating. Maybe someone stupid enough tries to use her to take revenge on their enemies. Cam would be just as likely to bite the hand that feeds her as she would be to eat what is given. However for the time being, because she is so young she merely watches, learns how to become a better killer, and takes the free food. (This soq would have to be someone stronger than her. Not hard to do considering she would still be a filly. Someone to overpower her and force her to submit to their needs for the time being.)
I warned you. - The soquili from the previous plot finally finds out just how true those legends are. Despite the fact they have essentially been keeping Cam as a pet she has no love or loyalty for them. She has grown and her insatiable appetite for destruction and flesh has grown with her. She is tried of this game and she is strong enough now to take her leave of her captor. Cue her first real fight for survival. Cue her winning.
Nothing like a first. - She is a bigger, better hunter now and she dreams of the taste her first kill left in her mouth. Though she has hunted since then, nothing taste quite the same as the first. So she searches for what made that first so special and eventually she finds it. She takes the tender flesh of a foal once more and that is the flavor of life she loves the most.
Camazotz, Consumer of Children - Cam literally up until this point hasn't had a name. Her previous 'master' called her beast but she never took to it as her name. As she has taken on her own life now, it's time for a name. It starts out slow, but eventually she finds she likes the fear that her 'name' brings. A parent finds her devouring their foal and curses her, calling her Camazotz, and it just sort of sticks. Eventually becoming a horror story that is whispered to young foals to keep them from wandering off. She goes on a bit of a glee spree once she is named and terrorizes people for awhile. (This is kind of a over reaching plot, there are several possibles in here but you see what I am getting at. I hope. XD)
Yielding isn't in my nature. - Her first real FIGHT since her battle for survival. She isn't sure she can win this and in the end she can't and has to flee. It would eat away at her until she found a way to tear apart the other that tried to break her. It would take her some time and I would like this to be a mini string of plots where she has to go out of her norm to find a way to win. Even skinwalkers need character growth. XD

Question: If someone you wish to breed your skinwalker with insists on all three breedings being together, how would you explain this in story canon? And how should this be handled in breeding forms? Answer: I wouldn't breed with that person then. XD Cam doesn't seem the type to me, she is a heat of the moment sort. The likely hood of someone being in the same place at the same time every time she was in the 'heat' of the moment is unlikely. Regardless, if it did happen and I somehow caved (which I've been known to do.) it would have to be someone that lived near by but not terribly close to her. Someone strong, with a lot to offer and capable of holding their own because otherwise it's not possible. It would obviously all be flings so it should be handled as such. Selective permission each time.
Question: Do skinwalkers form family units or care what their family thinks? Answer: No, not even close.
Question: If you have a hard time RPing a skinwalker in character, what can you do?. Answer: There is always the option of not rping, however you could also rp in the non-cannon rp form or offsite. There is also the possibility of self rp or merely keeping it vague. If you aren't capable of fully handling what a skinwalker is then vague self rp seems the best option. Assuming you want the stats of course.
Question: Skinwalkers can, on rare occasions, form packs/herds to organize an attack, but they always break apart shortly afterwards or sometimes even before they manage to stage the raid. What do you think happens to cause these breakups? Answer: Infighting mostly, they have no ability for compassion or anything else required to work as a group. Their leadership skills are poor, if non-existent and the more time spent together the more they want to kill each other.
Question: In your own words, please explain the nature of skinwalkers. Answer: Evil wrapped up in a pretty little fleshy bow. In all honest to me they seem to be horrible, evil, sometimes manipulative, usually vengeful creatures. Then again it's sort of hard to be anything but pure evil when you effectively dug yourself out of hell.

LET THE BODIES HIT THE FLOOR Username: SilverShieldwolf Name of Future Foal (Optional): War Scream Personality of Future Foal: Twisted Plot Ideas for Future Foal: (they will probably change some over time) Only the Strong: Hunted as soon as he breaks from the basket, War gets trapped in a corner. Only to scream and prove that he can and will survive the wolf attack.
Nightmares to Come: After the attack, he feels the call of his nature. The walker in him sets out to give new foals and baskets nightmares. Warnings of what is to come if they so dare come close to his land.
Army of One, Always: He watched a fight were a couple worked together. Grudgingly deciding to do so for the territory and food herd, he shows the others he is an army of one, always. This can be shortly after they start the journey/battle or right at the end, if War Scream makes it that far.

Question: If someone you wish to breed your skinwalker with insists on all three breedings being together, how would you explain this in story canon? And how should this be handled in breeding forms? Answer: Either one wanted to torment the other to prove they are the stronger, which I don't see War Scream doing. As for if it did happen it goes down as a fling or selective permission.
Question: Do skinwalkers form family units or care what their family thinks? Answer: Family? What is that? No they do not form a family unit or even care.
Question: If you have a hard time RPing a skinwalker in character, what can you do?. Answer: You don't have to RP, for one. Or you can ask the shop staff or fellow skinwalker owners. You can also read RP's that involve skinwalkers. Lastly, take it out of shop and not record it in the Soq Era guild.
Question: Skinwalkers can, on rare occasions, form packs/herds to organize an attack, but they always break apart shortly afterwards or sometimes even before they manage to stage the raid. What do you think happens to cause these breakups? Answer: They hate everything, so even after a short time they would start to fight.
Question: In your own words, please explain the nature of skinwalkers. Answer: Pure evil. They have no care, guilt or remorse of killing.

Nik is an oddity even among purewalkers. She named herself shortly after discovering her style of killing, or as she calls it, her lack of killing. She enjoys testing the pain threshold of her victims.
She lives in a long high valley that is sealed at both ends from ancient rockslides. The only way in and out is through a hidden cave. The cave had been there long before she arrived. She made it much harder to find after she was done. She drags her victims to this hellish place, that freezes in winter and scorches in summer, blinded so they do not know the way she takes them. She does not want anyone following her home after all. Her sightless victims are kept well stocked with dried grasses and the occasional apple or other fruit, plenty of water in the nearby cavern where they sleep. Underground lakes are so handy! When she is good and ready she leads them off and with a scavenged half broken dagger she stole and she slits their throat and collects the blood in a dish like rock. Once the body stops twitching and the blood slows to a trickle that is when Nik's true personality shines. Slowly ever so slowly she peels back the skin and removes it, often keeping it as a blanket for herself when winter comes. Once skinned she removes the innards and studies them. She believes she can tell the future by stirring the Intestines in a certain way and then 'reading' how they are aligned. This is just a touch of her Purewalker insanity showing through. After she reads the Intestines she carves up the rest of the body, taking choice bits and storing them for winter. She'll also dry strips of flesh into jerky for her long trips into the wilderness for fresh victims. Who has time to hunt when there is butchering to do!
I am not sure of the personality for the male atm. Writers block and a headache is denying me any ideas right now. Plot Ideas for Future Foal:
The First Time: This will be her early foalhood attempt at skinning something dead. It doesn't go well...
My Work is Never Done: As an adult she learns that she has aquired something of a legend about her and this is an RP of how she deals with vigilantes trying to kill her off.
I swear to follow all Skinwalker rules, and keep anything that doesn't fit shop canon out of the shop threads and guilds: Yes!

Questionnaire It is required to answer these questions to have a chance.
Question: If someone you wish to breed your skinwalker with insists on all three breedings being together, how would you explain this in story canon? And how should this be handled in breeding forms? Answer: I would explain it as the two having made a pact to further the walker race by making strong children with each other when the need arises in them both. In breeding forms it would be a 'Selective Permission Form'.
Question: Do skinwalkers form family units or care what their family thinks? Answer: No, family means nothing to these beasts. Most would even kill and devour their own children!
Question: If you have a hard time RPing a skinwalker in character, what can you do?. Answer: You can read over Mindsend guide, or PM Uta for help. If all else fails you can choose to not RP them at all.
Question: Skinwalkers can, on rare occasions, form packs/herds to organize an attack, but they always break apart shortly afterwards or sometimes even before they manage to stage the raid. What do you think happens to cause these breakups? Answer: I would think it would be power struggles that break up such a union. Each vying for more power and eventually the herd erupts into a raging ball of fur, blood, and teeth.
Question: In your own words, please explain the nature of skinwalkers. Answer: Evil incarnarnate, death embodied. I find there are many words for such creatures but none truly fit. So varied these creatures are, but they are all monsters.

LET THE BODIES HIT THE FLOOR Username: Ruler of Everything Name of Future Foal (Optional): Harbinger (will be using the gender-neutral singular "they" throughout this entry) Personality of Future Foal: Ruthless. Harbinger feels the most whole when causing the maximum amount of pain to others. Their ideal prey is a bit strange; while a normal skinwalker may prefer full-grown Soquili for the amount and quality of meat they provide, Harbinger prefers foals. They believe that the meat of a foal tastes better thanks to the greatest suffering and pain caused by the foal's death. Knowing that they have torn apart the hearts of others from this one, simple killing brings Harbinger more satisfaction than any bigger meal would. Plot Ideas for Future Foal: »Foal Meets Foal: Harbinger meets a foal for the first time and leaves feeling newly whole. Although the encounter ends in nothing but the minor mauling of the other, Harbinger gets the joy of seeing one of the parent's reactions as they manage to drag their now-injured foal away. This gives Harbinger a taste for a very particular kind of blood.
»Better Luck Next Time: As a foal, Harbinger counters another skinwalker - an adult. Harbinger attempts to sneak up on the other and attacks them and, as a result, ends up badly injured. Harbinger grows up with an intense hatred for the other, eventually meeting them once again as an adult, seeking revenge.

Questionnaire It is required to answer these questions to have a chance.
Question: If someone you wish to breed your skinwalker with insists on all three breedings being together, how would you explain this in story canon? And how should this be handled in breeding forms? Answer: That would provide me with one hell of a good reason to find someone better. However, if their Soquili is absolutely perfect I suppose in-canon it could be explained off simply by their geographic location. If the area happens to be devoid of other skinwalkers (as Harbinger would never deign themself to using a non-walker for anything other than meat), then I suppose they (begrudgingly) would have to resort to using the same Soquili for sexual release.
Question: Do skinwalkers form family units or care what their family thinks? Answer: Skinwalkers care for nothing. They have little concept of family to begin with, and what they do have is the result of quick glimpses of families before violently tearing that family - and those within it - apart.
Question: If you have a hard time RPing a skinwalker in character, what can you do?. Answer: I honestly do belief that RPing a skinwalker would be difficult for me. In that case, if keeping Mind's skinwalker guide handy is not doing the trick for getting me in the mindset, I would refer to other RPs involving skinwalkers for inspiration to ensure I could stay in character.
Question: Skinwalkers can, on rare occasions, form packs/herds to organize an attack, but they always break apart shortly afterwards or sometimes even before they manage to stage the raid. What do you think happens to cause these breakups? Answer: A herd of skinwalkers could never last long. All animals, by nature, are hierarchical. Skinwalkers, in particular being a bloodthirsty breed hungry for not only meat but dominance and power, would want to establish their own "alpha" position over the others in the herd. This would quickly lead to a bloodbath and the rapid disbanding of the group - well, the disbanding of those that survive, anyway.
Question: In your own words, please explain the nature of skinwalkers. Answer: There is temptation present to describe skinwalkers as "unfeeling." However, we all know that this is not true. Skinwalkers feel many things. They feel hatred and absolute, complete loathing. They are hungry, and driven by that ever-powerful hunger. Sadistic, they derive their sole pleasure from the infliction of pain on others. So, they are feeling, however their emotional spectrum is much smaller, only spanning the range of the much darker states of mind.
LET THE BODIES HIT THE FLOOR Username: Lady Aria Starstone Name of Future Foal (Optional): Volundr (War Territory) for a male, or Magnhildr(Mighty in Battle) for a female. Personality of Future Foal: A lover of taking prey through trapping them, weakening them, and then forcing them to fight for a "chance" that really doesn't exist to escape, this child is ruthless and cunning. Nothing would please them better to trap a large, difficult prey, such as a War Horse, and weaken them until they're wasted enough that a fight is possible, but they'll never win... And tearing them down. Even more fun would be to trap a pair, in a way that leaves them able to hear, and if possible, see each other but not help each other... And make sure to let one see the other die... Preferably, whichever one shows the greater desire for the other to survive would be the one to watch. Plot Ideas for Future Foal: First Trap, First True Fun: Until this plot, our Villain has never thought of the trapping scheme, but instead, just finds weaker prey to practice on, maul, and eventually kill. However, they're bored. This is just too easy... But they don't want to be harmed themselves. After all, that's just a risk at being stopped and that would NEVER do. Today, though, their prey turned out to be cleverer then usual... and tried to escape, but they managed to trap the idiot prey in a small cave. Now they have decisions to make. How DO they get their prey? What IS that emotion I see? Having usually gone after single prey, They see a couple for the first time. The emotions the two prey seem to be displaying to each other? It's SICKENING, and yet fascinating... Could it be used against their prey somehow? They had to find out! Blood on the Ground: They've trapped a fun looking prey... only to find out that this one's tougher then they expected... In fact the prey actually managed to injure them! Furious, they escape, and begin to plot revenge...
I swear to follow all Skinwalker rules, and keep anything that doesn't fit shop canon out of the shop threads and guilds: Of course!

Question: If someone you wish to breed your skinwalker with insists on all three breedings being together, how would you explain this in story canon? And how should this be handled in breeding forms? Answer: To answer part two first, never mark them as mated. Every time they have to have an agreement, as Skinwalkers never mate. As for the second part, the only way I could see that happening is if it was another 'Walker with a nearby territory... and as This one would never even CONSIDER a non walker, it would have to be the only one near enough when this one needed... to deal with nature.
Question: Do skinwalkers form family units or care what their family thinks? Answer: Bwahahahahahahah no. Just no.
Question: If you have a hard time RPing a skinwalker in character, what can you do?. Answer: Ask for assistance from a more experienced Skinwalker RPer, or from Uta/Mind, or else private IM rp only that isn't used for stats.
Question: Skinwalkers can, on rare occasions, form packs/herds to organize an attack, but they always break apart shortly afterwards or sometimes even before they manage to stage the raid. What do you think happens to cause these breakups? Answer: Skinwalkers hate everything that isn't themselves. The ability to work together is just not something they really have. Some might have the control to let it last long enough, but on the whole? They each need to be the one with the power, to enjoy the misery they create and to share that is just not in their natures.
Question: In your own words, please explain the nature of skinwalkers. Answer: Vicious, hate filled, and blood thirsty... Their innermost nature is evil.
