Clover was missing his mother. Even though he was all grown up, he still needed his mom at times. This time though, it was a special time to visit her. He hadn't seen her in a while and had a surprise to show her.
As he swam towards his parents den, smiles flickered on his face. A prank he pulled on his brother there, and over there. Oh and over there too. There wasn't a spot he hadn't, but from each area Clover had found something to give to his mother. Today... today he had something to give and show her too.
Swimming further back from the Seathi, was a sea otter. She matched the male in color and she was carrying some flower like plants in her mouth to give to his mother. They had found the plants as they were swimming and spotted shinies all over. With a little luck and help, the two had a nice arrangement for Menthe.

Menthe was outside her home, basking in the warmer, sun filled water above the cave she and Ichthian lived in. Her mate was off doing his own thing and Menthe was simply taking it easy now that her kids were fully grown.
Feeling the water currents shift around her, Menthe opened one eye and spotted her son, Clover heading towards her. Smiling to herself, Menthe closed her eye again and waited. She was happy to see her son, but since he was coming straight for her and she had already decided to be lazy, she could wait for her son to come to her. He probably had found something shiny to show her. Menthe smiled again, loving her son's quirks, just like she loved Koralo's quirks to.

Clover smiled when he seen that his mother was out of the cave. He was sure she would love the gift Guardian carried in her mouth. It was better than he normally brought to her.
He swam a bit fast so he could nuzzle Menthe's cheek. "Hello, Mother. You are looking wonderful today." He was hoping that he was in front his new friend and that his mother hadn't seen the sea otter. It was part of the surprise. "I have something for you. We picked them up on our way here."

"Hello Clover." Menthe said, flipping upright and smiling warmly at her son. She returned his nuzzle. "How have you been? Good I hope. Your father and I just return from a short trip." She laughed, remembering the outing. "What did you bring me? Something shiny?" She treasured all the gifts her son gave her and was looking forward to this newest one.

He swam a little closer. "Come on Guardian. Mom wants to see what we have for her." Clover blushed a little at the shiny comment, knowing that he was obsessed with shiny objects. "Not today. She wouldn't let me grab anything like that."
Guardian swims up and holds the flowers in her paws. She takes a deep sniff of them before holding them towards Menthe.
