Small IC description of character: Maple Syrup is a puppet woman with very woody, brown skin and orange fall leaves everywhere, especially her hair, which appears to just stay in that hairstyle and be completely made of twigs and leaves.
Her eyes and mouth have a yellowish glow to them, though they exude slightly blue-ish wisps of light. Though Eerie, they seem otherwise friendly, like a jack-o-lantern.
She wears the Cheshire cat cloak, semithere tail, and the semithere scarf in the traditional blue-theme, but has foregone the ears for an aura of shadowy magic that seems to cling to her and shift. She also has glowing, long, cyan claws - her weapon as a Cat. Both the claws and the aura are not visible/barely visible out of battle, but become apparent during battle - the claws are very long and sharp, and the aura becomes a miasmic and disturbing cloud... are those eyes? No, of course not.
Aside from being cool and magical, this has no effect on her stats. Its just cool.
My First sidequest! I found lots of lovely treasure! At least, I think its lots. I got another card and another level, but auuuugh it was so haaaard!
I kept having to go back to the beginning and try different mushrooms. I'm just glad I brought a lovely back-to-normal mushroom with me! Thats just basic potions, though.
Lets hope the other sidequests aren't as annoying!!!
I met the most annoying cat in the forest. We had a riddle game and, even though i came up with some good answers and some really amazingly excellent riddles, it kept answering them!
It wants me to find it again tomorrow and i'll show it! I will! I'm not dumb! I'm not!
I followed some strange voices and remembered things that... I wasn't sure I wanted to remember. I'm not sure I want to forget either. Who I was then is not who I am now...
I'm so confused... and melancholy... I don't like being Melancholy.
Anyway, somehow i got treasure for that so... I suppose thats nice...?
Sap was just about to try out her first riddle when the world IMPLODED. Everything went silent and she looked up, confused and wary.
And then it all fell apart. Or, rather, was ripped apart by terrible screeching hands that tore the place apart.
She'd forgotten, until then, that it was just a dream, and in her stunned silence she thought it felt... familiar.
But she didn't remember why.
And then, as suddenly as it had been sundered, it returned to normal. She took a deep breath, quelling her unease. Well, a glitch? A really nasty glitch?
She had riddles to make. Right. Ooookay. Focus. Riddles.
I went back to the lake and it was as disturbing as before. I wish this game would stop showing me memories like this. I wish it would have the decency to let me remember on my own... But at least I remembered to be happy, so I will...
This fight was fun and challenging! Woot! Maybe I'll fight some more mobs and then try one of those dungeon things... If I can find a group. Still haven't managed to get a guild, but oh well. Soloing is still fun. Maybe I can find a bunch of riddlers to play with? I turned off my faction chat because it was getting soooo distracting, but I'll just turn that back on...

Tugley Woods Main Quest 2
OMIGOSH What is with this game?! First the creepy memory quests, then this?!
I mean, the lake is bad enough (but good EXP!!!) and the Caterpillar den or whatever it was called was just so wierd! But being chased by a crazy monster? That you can't fight? UNFAIR.
This game is upsetting. This game is really upsetting.
At least I got a fragment, though. I feel so useful!
Sap wondered if she hadn't made a mistake signing up to this game. Not that she remembered signing up for a dream world MMO, but if she'd heard about it she probably would have, just because of how awesome it sounded.
It was really good, though. Not that she could find a party to save her life, and she had chatted with lots of people but couldn't seeme to find a group to dungeon with, but other than that, it was really very fun. Even the unbeatable Jabberwocky boss was fine. She hoped to give him What-for later on, though, chompy b*****d.
It was just the creepy mind-tripping memories, and the eerie voices. She didn't get why that had to be a thing, even in a dream game like this. It felt too... personal for her. She wasn't an avid RPer or anything. She didn't pretend to be Maple_Syrup. In fact, she was perfectly comfortable with telling people her nickname, and with acting exactly like herself.
But that dream human during the caterpillar quest had called her Acerium and that had been the last straw. She hadn't minded the other freaky dream bits, but that...?
No.
Just no.
Acerium was her real name, and she didn't like spreading it around. Acerium was the real her. She wondered if there were places to lodge complaints about name use, maybe block the game from her memories. She got that memories were an important part of the game, but did it have to invade them so?
Still, she couldn't figure out how to log out, and she wanted to keep playing it at least a bit. Just to see how it went.
And maybe to find that damn cheshire cat again and show him who was boss....
