Voices sounded from all around, loud screams that cut through the forest's light, whacky music. Voices she knew.
They weren't real. Chris wasn't here in the game- neither was Nevada.

It's coming? SugarPuss blinked, for a moment perplexed as to what the commotion was all about. Common sense dictated that she should probably follow suit. Follow first, ask questions later. But she was never the type to do that so she stubbornly stayed put, looking around the deathly silent woods for whatever it was that those who ran ahead were concerned about.
She felt something move.
Behind her.
She whirled around and that was when she saw it. But before she could back away or go on the defensive, it lunged and got her. Bad. She was down to a mere 10 HP now and she didn't need any further prompting to know that she had better turn tail and run which was exactly what she did with the creature hot on her trail.

The Jabberwock spotted him and lunged the first bite smarted but after being informed that he only had ten hp left FlukeFiend was on the run. There was no way he was sticking around for another chomp. Not when he could feel the beast breath on his neck. Trying his best to avoid another bite he started to dart into the trees. The chase was on but luckily as he surfed the trees only his tail was nipped in the process.

SugarPuss ran as fast as her legs could take her, throwing all caution to the wind as she weaved her way through the trees to try to escape her pursuant. She hadn't stopped or turned to see just how far behind the Jabberwock was. She didn't need to with the sound of the heavy footsteps that seemed to follow her everywhere she went.
"I know that I was wrong. I've neglected and let you down all these years. Let me make it all up to you Yvette..."
Hywel? Could it be... was he here too? If what he said was true... She couldn't help it really, the promise behind that which he said a temptation too great for her to silly pass up on hence her decision to stop and turn around. All she saw before her were rows and rows of teeth and then there was simply abysmal darkness...

For the moment he seemed to be safe. No sign of the jabberwock other than a distant rustle in the leaves.

The Jaberwoky's claws and teeth were large enough to avoid, at least temporarily for the small dormouse; but the debri it rained down was not. A large angry willow came flying down upon her, arms swinging as wildly as when it was rooted in the ground, and caught her right on the ankle. "Ow Ow Ow!!" She cried, snapping her severely sprained leg back into place, just in time to avoid the next round of falling forestry. There was no time to heal all she could do was run, or more literally, hobble and try to escape the beast before it got her a second time. She didn't know how many lives she was going to get in this game, or what would happen to her when she ran out.

SugarPuss blinked. Wait a minute. Hadn't she gone through this prior..? Right. Whatever it was must have gotten her and she had to, as a result, restart the quest proper. She didn't hesitate this time. Oh no siree. She already knew better from her earlier experience with whatever this was and she wasn't about to make the same mistake twice.

She had a bit of a head start this time. It was disconcerting to know that in spite of that, whatever was behind her was still rapidly gaining speed and possibly catching up to her. She heard Hywel's voice calling out to her again this time but chose to ignore it entirely. She had been fooled once and she would be a complete idiot if she fell for the same trick yet again.

A fork in the road? Sap didn't like this at all. She had to hurry away from the beast and decisions made that harder... so she just went down one, grabbing the health potion as she did. He had managed to outrun it and for a moment the Jabberwock disappear. Still he could hear it, he knew it was there but he couldn't help but feel the need to look back. Though as soon as he did he was met with a set of teeth and death.
