The Jabberwocky didn't stay lost for long. When it caught up to her it caught up quick, snapping and snarling at her already injured heels. She stumbled but kept pace. Feeling around in her pocket to make sure the second chance was firmly in hand.

Cat lunged forward, but the snarling snapping beast managed to hit one of the players beside him, sending them tumbling and knocking him momentarily from his feet. For a moment it seemed that she had out run in. Wykid stopped to catch her breath, but there was no time to stop for long. The vibration of footsteps was drawing nearer. Suddenly, a familiar voice rang out from behind her. Her sister's voice begging her to come back. To help her. But she hadn't seen Na here, how did she...why was she.... She couldn't help it. Wykid had to help. But just as she turned around teeth surrounded her and she was eaten. OOC My character's username: Wykid My character's level: 6 Character's HP: 6 Job Class: Caterpillar Current party: Current Guild: Location: Small IC description of character: Thin with dark skin. Wykid wears the black and blue Caterpillar armor. Her mouth is covered by a mask hiding the bottom half of her face and the sleeves of her shirt are larger than normal, slightly translucent at the wrists giving a small peek at her bone arms. Its hard to tell her disposition at the time unless you are watching her body language. But even that can be a bit tricky. But for the most part she's fairly good natured. Character journal: here

Sap gasped, panting, as the forest suddenly became lighter and less dreadful. QUEST COMPLETE beeped her card and she looked at it. Well no. Nono. That was not a fun quest. She looked back at the forest uneasily. What had that been? Some sort of mega-boss? She hoped she could pound it into the ground later on. Fine. What did she get from the quest...? Her face broke open into a glowing smile. Aww yeah. Sweet jackpot riches of awesomeness. Awwww yeah. The ground beneath TotallyAllan's feet shook and he paused, trying to figure out the source of the tremors. He could see a cloud of smoke rising from the heights of canopy in the distance, but that didn't explain anything. Nor did the creaking cracking of wood not far off.
Things - animals and people alike, began to stream past him on either side yelling almost unintelligible things. It sounded like it's coming but what the hell would cause this much chaos?
The last body disappeared into the depths of the woods and then everything went quiet.
He felt something behind him. He turned, slow and cautious only to suddenly panic at the sight of a huge creature towering over him. Before he could even turn back around it snapped at him hard and painful enough to make him cry out and immediately turn to run. But he didn't make it far before they snapped again, this time just grazing his arm as he started dodging through the heavy underbrush.

With one final bite the beast threatened to end her for good. Or at least as far it knew (she still had the second chance if it came to that). But ever the stubborn one, Envy clung to life like she clung to anything she held dear and with her last HP she stumbled off the path and into a pile a brush as the Jaberwok stomped by.

Against the sound of squeaking, running paws, thunderous footsteps followed behind him. He was going to die. This was it. He had survived that horrible two-headed thing, and now this! Tears were threatening to stream down Teddomination's face, but he had to keep running. Keep pushing.
It's okay, Teddy! Teddy my love, slow down! I'm here for you...! ..Mother? Oh goodness, oh he wanted to keep running. He needed to.

Seeing the fork in the road he skidded to a halt but knew by the footsteps behind him that he couldn't sit long. Seeing the second chance timer on the left he ran that way and grabbed it up. This was intense for a dream

Apparently she was not to escape this creature all that easily. Wykid re-spawned back where she had been at the start. And there it stood. Teeth gnashing, claws flexing. It was just too big to fight with no weapons. As she ran it swatted at her back with it's tail. A stinging sensation running up and down her spine. This place was a little too real for her sometimes. More wandering, when suddenly -
Oh dammit. Thing were running, he was running, everything was running. Some great beast thing was following them, pursuing and biting and altogether being a big a*****e. It was too big to fight though, and any momentary lapse of focus had him getting bit. Not good.

Running for his life he didn't dare to look back as others yelled behind him. But that didn't help him from avoiding a swipe. Wincing he picked up the pace and kicked his butt into high gear.

Okay. Well, this wasn't good. Teddomination woke up to the searing pain of being snapped in half, and gasped as the pain flooded him. He had to run.

Determination. He had it, to not get ate that was. Booking it he drowned out the voices of those behind him with a loud obnoxious singing of his own. At last he got out of the forest, or rather the darkest parts of the forest anyway. Apparently the beast had lost interest in him as he finally couldn't hear its steps. Out of breath he turned to fist pump the air in success as nothing was behind him. "Take that you jackhole." Grinning from ear to ear he looked around only to be delighted as he was rewarded for competing this part of his quest. A fragment, some levels and some cards? Not bad he mused to himself before walking on in search of more fun.

The footsteps once more and the voices. He just had to run, focus on the squeak-squeak of his pawsteps, and ignore the calming voice of his mother. She wasn't there, waiting behind him with open arms. She wasn't the loving and kind statue he expected. Closing his eyes, Teddomination sprinted on, determined to make it this time.
