Important Dates (IC)
[7 turns]: Jadamirei meets her mother's family for the first time.
[11 turns]: Mikel finds out his daughter is a good soprano and she goes to Harper Hall. She meets Folen and Tethis, who is visiting her mother at the hall, and becomes friends with them.
[13 turns]: A green fire lizard lays a clutch in the Harper hall's stew pot and the resulting eggs are presented at dinner- the cooks didn't realize they weren't part of the meal. The eggs were fine though and quite a few of them actually managed to hatch properly.
[14 turns]: As a prank and a gift for the masters, Jada pays for bubbly pies for all! She and the other apprentices manage to sneak the pies there, but the flits foil their plot by eating the pies.
[16 turns]: Jada is Searched. Telgar is -not- what she was expecting. A sevenday after her arrival, Folen comes two! Two sevendays into her stay, Tethis gives her a flit egg. Jada also acquires one for Folen from their friend. Folen's hatches blue, Jada's green. Jada acquires several other flits, blue Scherzo and blue Andante. Jada goes to Ghenza and Impresses gold Geminith

Dragonriders of Pern Shop A hush fell over the gathered humans when the Gold Speckled Egg began to wobble, still bearing the shattered pieces of the Candy Cane egg. Sojayeth quieted once again and watched the egg with an almost unrivalled intensity. It was the moment of truth. Would this gold hatch properly? Would she go Between? Or worse, pick a High Reaches candidate?
Only time would tell.
The egg continued to rock gently, cracks appearing near the top as the dragon inside began to break her shell.
Dragonriders of Pern Shop With a well-placed kick the egg cracked straight down the middle, revealing the dragon within. The freshly hatched gold sat down and blinked, apparently a little dazzled by all the attention (or perhaps just the sudden light). Sojayeth was still eyeing her fiercely, however the little dragon didn't even seem to notice. All those people! And they were looking at her!
She gave a little chirrup and got to her feet, rustling her wings as she tried to figure out the best way to put them. Compared with some of the earlier greens, she seemed confident, and there was a definite hope that she would find hers. Daintily, she made her way across the sands towards the candidates, turning her head this way and that as she looked for Hers.
Dragonriders of Pern Shop The gold paused along the front row, tail swishing behind her. Where was Hers? Gone? No no, she was here somewhere. Perhaps she just couldn't see her? Balancing herself on her tail, the dragon stood up on her hind legs, peering over the crowd in an effort to find the one she was looking for. Where oh where was—oh! Aha!
Ah! Jadamirei! Come quickly! Your Geminith needs to speak with her clutchmates. They are very sad.

Dragonriders of Pern Shop Geminith Geminith is, like her name suggests, a perfect gem. She's pretty, she's sweet, and she'd totally be the kind of girl that you'd bring home to your mother for dinner. There's really very little about her that suggests she's a gold and not just another green. Geminith doesn't seem to understand the distinction between the two colours. As far as she's concerned, girls are girls and boys are boys, and why shouldn't she go and chat it up with the other girls? In the event that she had a clutch, this gold would probably very gladly teach her green friends how best to mother them, or even allow them to take turns "playing gold".
What you see is what you get with this dragon, as she doesn't do a very good job at hiding her feelings. If dragons could frown, she would have the best frowning face, especially in the event that someone does something bad or (Faranth forbid) improper. Geminith has very, very strict rules about how a female dragon should carry themselves. Be polite, be kind, and don't go fraternizing with boys. Ever. In human terms, she would be considered extremely naïve, especially on the subject of relationships. Extremely chaste, even for a dragon, Geminith is very vocal about not "sleeping around" as it were or leading other males on. She most certainly would never be seen doing improper things with a male dragon, that's for sure! (No one seems to have told her that she'll have to when she gets older. Perhaps her rider should break this gently to her).
As she gets older, she may begin to develop secret teenage "crushes" on other male dragons. Despite this, however, she will stick to her childhood platform that male and female dragons must not be allowed to do anything out of "wedlock." She will even chastise Hers if she finds out that her rider has been looking or even thinking about a human male in that way. As she becomes less stable in her views, Geminith will turn to two sources of comfort: her rider and food. Nothing makes this gold feel better than eating her problems away, and in this respect her rider should watch she doesn't get fat.
Flights, when they come, will probably end in disaster (at least the first few times). Once Geminith's "innocence" has been tainted, her rider will have to make sure to pick her (gently) up off the ground and escort her into life as a "real woman." Good girls don't go bad. Geminith is pretty. Jadamirei is pretty. What more did you want?
Truthfully, this little gold recognized a rider that she could put her heart into. The Healer-born, Harper-trained girl not only had a solid work ethic but she was also brought up in a proper home. Geminith wanted stability and kindness, and she found both in Jada. Both share an affection for others (especially little ones) and it is hoped that in time, Jada will be able to help her dragon see the benefits of "fraternizing with males" and raising fine young dragons for the Weyr. They both share an appreciation of food, friends, and family, and though they may not be the Ghenzan elite that most were hoping for, they will always have each other.

The FlitsWhile in Telgar, Jada had collected a small group of flits. When she went to Ghenza, she left them behind, in the care of Telgar Weyrharper M'dor. They are not with her.  Name: Allegretto Uncert: XData: A gold; she is energetic and lively and playful.  Name: Dolcissimo Uncert: XData: A green; she is very laid back and relaxed.  Name: Scherzo Uncert: XData: From Allegretto's first clutch, he is calmer, with a distinct sense of humor.  Name: Andante Uncert: XData: From the clutch of Treasure, one of Allegretto's children.
