Likes: Poetry (both writing and reading), her studies in general, solitude, hot water with lemon and a little bit of honey.
Dislikes: Adventure of any sort, going outside of her comfort zone, the loud and irreverent.
Personality: Arwen is the type of girl who can find out anything about life from a book and apply it as needed. She learns quickly and has a remarkable memory for facts, such as names, dates and important information. Brilliant, extremely sharp and hungry to learn, the girl has very little in the way of social skills; she could tell you all about a place from its history to its culture, but when it comes to interacting she's completely at a loss. Her inept manners of dealing with others has made her somewhat agoraphobic, preferring to remain at home or within familiar grounds. Despite the inability to properly blend into a crowd, Arwen is quite friendly, a sweet and well meaning girl who is a bit scatterbrained. Building a friendship with the waifish girl can be a challenge, as she's extremely passionate about her learning and studies, and any who do not share her desire are often lost in the pages.
The young girl is deeply immersed in her studies and books; even though the words on the pages can express great emotion and depth, she is hopeless at handling it in life. Arwen would do little more than brush off the most tear-filled and earnest outburst, simply because it's not something that has a definite answer or resolution. She finds emotions to be volatile, and it hinders her ability to truly know how to act in the face of such strange and malleable behavior. The girl herself rarely shows any sort of emotion aside from her perpetual happiness when she does interact, unless an unfortunate soul should start to discuss a pursuit of interest. Getting her started down the path of something she adores can result in many hours of happy chattering that most people would likely not understand nor care about. She's the type to give you an indepth answer to a simple question, enough that you'd probably walk away knowing more about the subject than you ever cared to. If, on the off chance, she does not know the answer to your question, she will immerse herself in books and references to find the answer and give you quite an elaborate tale when she's satisfied her own curiosity for the information.
All her essentrics and lack of emotional comprehension in the flesh does not mean she is emotionally dead in her heart. Arwen has a passion for poetry and romance novels, and is quite the little poet herself (although she'd never readily admit it). She composes her own poetry, short stories and the occassional song, storing them in a secret diary that she keeps as hidden as possible. The romantic part of her seems to be quite a far cry from her logical and fact-driven nature; as such, she keeps it as buried as the diary that contains her sweetly composed words, almost as though she were in denial of that capacity.
Goals: Currently Arwen's goal is to become just like professora Bellona. Beautiful and smart and self-posessed.

  Alignments: Melancholy
Melancholy is the Essence of the Mind, and is Housed in the Black District.
Colours: Black, indigo, silver, purple, dark blues, garnet red, cold metallic colours.
Attributes: Good with Artistic and Magical endeavours, philosophical, deep thinkers, work well by themselves, inventive, conceptual thinkers. The Planners, but not the doers.
Personality Traits: Airy personality, solitary, self-oriented, distant from worries of the body (such as sleep or hunger)
Digamma Ouroboros: The Digamma Ouroboros is the symbol of the Melancholy humor, and is depicted as two serpents twisted in an infinity sign devouring each other's tails. The Digamma stands for eternal balance, eternal struggle, the battle between mind and body, self and others. Neither of the serpents of the Digamma will ever fully devour the other, as both are equal in strength and size, and truly without each other to feed from, the snakes in the Digamma would perish. The Digamma symbolizes not only the struggle of opposites, but also the dependance on balance for both to survive and flourish. All Melancholy Aligned Empyreans will wear their Digamma Ouroboros as a sign of pride somewhere on their person at all times, whether it be emblazoned on a possession they are never without, emroidered or fastened onto clothing, tattooed into flesh or dyed into fur, it must always be worn and visible.
Often Melancholy are best suited to the Academic or Journeyman Orientations, as this allows them to focus on magic or duelling, which they excel at.
Academic: Academics are thin and waifish - sometimes bordering on underweight or skinny. They have slow metabolisms and don't need to eat very much. They tire easily when they exert themselves and have a very hard time putting on muscle. Because of their light size they can be quite quick if they train to be. Academics are brilliant in the mind, and this enables them to excell at magics and learned information. They have great memories and great analytical skills, but have a difficult time understand things from a perspective of feeling. They often consider emotions to be excessive, irrational or baffling, and prefer to deal in terms of fact or fiction, not that watery in-between substance of emotions.

Key: Black text is for standard classes; Dark Blue text is for tutored classes. º Philosophy. . . . .Itself: A subject of aloof and deep thinking. While some of it pique's my curiosity, the amount of questions and lack of substantial answers doesn't do much to hold my interest.
. . . . .Impression: The class was remarkably held for how little interest the subject itself initally presented. Professor Eleuthero was as fascinating as the words he shared, weaving the ideas in such a way to keep me enthralled and intruiged. The subject itself, however interesting, is not something I feel I could delve into.
. . . . .Interest Is: Deities, karma, reincarnation/metatron's influence on it all. The general sway of strength the deities display, and their presence of ungodly mind to be swayed by the desires of many. The God and the Faithful seem to have a constant albeit unconscious struggle for who needs whom more.º Botany. . . . .Itself: Sadly overshadowed by the immense distaste by being Outside. I remember precious little of the class itself, as I found myself at odds with my mind to keep from fleeing in terror.
. . . . .Impression: To say it left a positive impression would be gravely mistaken. Cutting the limbs of living, breathing, humanoid-esque creatures does not strike me with a positive fancy.
. . . . .Interest Is: Perhaps surprisingly, I find interest in what we learned in class. The combining of mere samples to create a creature of purpose and existance is fascinating. The Professora was passionate to be sure, but the subject itself of doom and destruction is one that leaves me bone weary and disinterested. Our Professora made up for the lack of intruiging subject.

o5/16 ~ The Empyrean must make at least 1 RP post in each of the 16 classes in the White District
o1/o1 ~ The Empyrean must attend at least one Event
o1/o1 ~ The Empyrean must make at least 1 RP post in the Teacher's Lounge.
o2/xx ~ If classes are missed, and other requirements are made, special tutoring may be available.
At Stage One the Empyreans can learn magic, and can choose one of the following four types of magic: Tribal, Ritual, Circle or Grimoire, and select three spells that the Empyrean wishes to learn. The Empyrean may add these three spells into their repitoire after having successfully used the spells three times in a situation (such as the fighting arena or fighting monsters).
Requirements for the Second Transcendence:
~ The Empyrean must take an Apprenticeship in the city
~ The Empyrean must study to become one of the following: Grigori, Seraphim, Gatekeeper or Chorus
~ The Empyrean must participate in at least one of the following: Duel, Monster Hunt, Golem Creation, Abberation Evoking, or crafting of some form of supply or goods.
At Stage Two, the Empyrean can take a job in the city. Jobs can be anything from Artist to Monster Trainer, and these are usually based on whichever classes the Empyrean liked best in school. At Stage Two the additions grow further. 3 more spells may be learned and added to the Empyrean's repetoire. By the end of Stage Two, the Empyreans are allowed to leave the City for their transition to Stage Three.
At Stage Three the Empyrean makes their final changes to/adds new additions, and returns to the City. Once returned to the City, Empyreans may take a Position in the City such as: Grigori, Seraphim, Gatekeeper, Chorus.
Requirements for the Third Transcendence:
~ The Empyrean's Apprenticeship msut advance to Career status.
~ The Empyrean must help at least one lower Stage Empyrean through RP, whether that be casual, assisting in a task, or tutoring
~ The Empyrean must succeed their test for their chosen position
~ The Empyrean must purchase with Credits earned a Gate Pass out of the city
